‼️From Rescue to One Year of New Beginnings‼️

A year ago, the story of a dog named Britney began to unfold in a way that none could have expected. Found dragging a chain from her broken red collar, Britney was more than just lost. She was desperate for a safe place. Her first glimmer of hope came when she followed a kind-hearted stranger to a local boarding house. But her safety was short-lived as she faced threats of being poisoned or beaten to death, and was thrown over a cement fence into a vacant lot.

In this empty lot, a compassionate neighbor’s helper saw Britney’s plight and began feeding her over the high walls, using a stick or a rope. Britney's struggles didn't go unnoticed, and soon, fellow animal advocate Chona Marie started seeking help for her, that was April 23, 2023. Yet, help was slow to come until the heart-wrenching situation reached me. Seeing her desperate need for a safe shelter, especially during rainstorms, I contacted Chona, and together, we orchestrated Britney's rescue.

Fast forward to today, and what a difference a year makes! Britney has transformed from a dog fighting for survival into a beacon of love and gentleness. Celebrating her first year of rescue, Britney now enjoys a life filled with affection and care. She’s vaccinated, spayed, and has blossomed into a friendly companion that lights up any room.

As we mark this special anniversary, it showcases not only Britney's strength and perseverance but also the community of supporters who believe in second chances for all creatures. Britney's journey reminds us of the power of compassion and the incredible changes that can happen when we choose to help those in need.

Britney is more than just a survivor. She’s a source of inspiration, showing us the profound impact of kindness and a loving home. Here's to celebrating many more years of joy with Britney, a true symbol of hope and renewal!

SCAMMER ALERT

Today i got an ask from a blog claiming to belong to an animal shelter in the philippines.

I was about to dismiss it immediately. Like... "thankyou so much luv ya" isn't professional fund raising behaviour lmao. but then i saw that they've got a facebook linked....

The facebook has 75k followers and 60k likes, with an extensive post history and reviews dating back to late 2019. I even found an article from 2020 mentioning them. The article has information on them and the work they have been doing as a nonrpofit since 2019. The tumblr is very new. So, what's going on here?

I texted them! (I know i made a grammar mistake. Shut) They haven't gotten back to me yet, but I did get an automated message. The paypal link looks like it checks out right? No! The facebook doesn't say "bachprojectphil" anywhere. It's "bachprojectph" everywhere I looked. Clicking the e-mail from the message opened p@ypal immediately.

However, when I did the same on the tumblr post...

BOTH links opened this. It is a p@ypal site, but it's a profile, not the direct donation link. This link, or this username ending in "phil" appears nowhere else. If it was true that "they've gotten banned" and had to reregister to tumblr, the @aypal would still be the one legit one from facebook.

What I think is going on, is that this scammer took the name of a legitemate animal shelter, made a p@ypal that resembles theirs, and inserted a hyperlink over the actual email address that leads to their account.

I am still waiting on an actual response from a human, will reblog if anything changes but I feel like i've got a good case against the tumblr person as it is.

Either way if someone wants to help make sure to do it through the stuff on their facebook not through the links given by a tumblr account that's unaffiliated with them. Even if the social media person says it's their real info, it's still shady as hell to impersonate a random nonpofit

Remember the dog suffered from so much abuse and cruelty in Talisay City? He was poisoned, his legs were tied until it got swollen, he was hit by a vehicle, and he fell in the hole. He was found lying in the middle of the road waiting to die. He was helpless and hopeless. He was terrified, tired, and in so much pain when we rescued him at Buenretiro Subd. Phase 2 in Talisay City. Buen, as what we named him, had an owner. But the poor dog suffered all alone outside their house, enduring the pain and facing abuse and cruelty of people with so much fear. Buen is a beautiful soul who was one of the saddest cases in Negros Occidental where dogs and cats are being neglected and abandoned by their irresponsible owners. We rescued Buen and brought him straight to @juanveterinarian - Bacolod where he was provided with the medical care and love he needed. Although Buen still bears the scars from his past, all of his wounds have closed and he is focused on moving forward and embracing his new life. Today, Buen is a happy and healthy dog. Buen needs a new forever loving home. Please consider giving him a new leash on life.
