Ana kasparian should probably know that if being observed by nazis makes you feel like your own side is cringe, you secretly agree more with the nazis than you think you do about your side
Like it seems like shes satisfied with "woman = adult human female" and the rest of us just have some kind of crybaby brain problem she doesnt have time for when we say "woman" and "person who can get pregnant" are not mutually interchangeable categories and when pregnancy is the issue of the day its not exclusively a womans issue. because many women cant get pregnant and pregnancy is therefore not their issue (eg infertile women, menopausal women), its kind of weird to say its a womens issue just because you personally have a weird knee-jerk "this is babyfarmer talk" reaction to implicitly being "stripped" of your hallowed "womanhood" and so unceremoniously handed the mantle of simple "person who can get pregnant" (thats like, what that word woman means to bioessentialists and youre actually agreeing with THEM, playing into THEIR rhetorical field when you say we cant talk exclusively about people who can get pregnant when thats the issue, we must say "women AND OTHER people who can get pregnant" just to make ana happy, as tho ALL women CAN get pregnant so it IS their issue). Regarding women who cant get pregnant, the ramifications of abortion, for example, are not part of their lived experience as women and youre kind of shitting on them nazi style by saying they count for nothing in all this precisely because women who cant get pregnant "arent women" and people who can get pregnant "are women". The same way youre shitting on people like me, someone who nominally can get pregnant but isnt comfortable with being called a woman because of it for a variety of reasons some of which are actually deeply philosophical and not just some kind of millennial anti-patriarchy ptsd getting in your way personally because god is laughing at you for being a bitchy person
I think shes dense 🤷

Many people consider Harold Shipman to be Britain’s worst serial killer. There’s no denying it, he was one of the worst; killing about 250 people. However, hidden amongst the tales of habitual drunks, petty thieves, and swindlers, lies a lesser known, little old lady. Her name was Amelia Dyer.
Unless you were rich, if you lived during the time, then your life— put frankly— sucked. I’m talking about the Victorian era, the time where, if you weren’t rich or middle class, you lived with the poor, amongst the crowded, disease infested streets, littered with the starving and homeless.
And back in the time where food was scarce for the poor, and many could not afford another mouth to feed; baby farming was an easy, idealistic practice. Baby farming, at the time, was a common vocation. If women had a child that they couldn’t afford or a child that they didn’t want, they would be given to a person, who for a lump sum of money, would take in the child with the promise of finding them a good home or taking care of the child themselves.
Amelia Hobley, was one of these baby farmers. She was born in Bristol, England to Sarah and Samuel Hobley. Amelia had the privilege to attend school until the age of  14 along with her sister and three brothers. When Amelia was only 11 years old, her mother contracted Typhus, which made her go insane, and eventually she died.
In 1861, when Amelia was 24, she married George Thomas, becoming Amelia Thomas. She then gave birth to a girl that they named Ellen Thomas just before George died in 1867. Three years later, Amelia married William Dyre, taking on the name she was infamous for, Amelia Dyer. With William, Amelia had another daughter— Mary Ann “Polly” Dyer— and a son— William Samuel Dyer. She had more children, though, they didn’t survive past infancy. Eventually Amelia Dyre left her husband and took her children with her.
Amelia was trained as a nurse and a midwife, and later became a baby farmer. At first, she took care of the children. However, after a while, she let the children starve. Eventually, the children starved to death. Many of the children Amelia housed were given “Mother’s Friend”, an opium laced syrup that silenced their suffering. Using this method, Dyre was able to evade the authorities for years. However, in 1879, the physician that signed the children’s death certificates, noticed that 4 children died extremely close to each other. Too close. Two weeks to be exact. These deaths were investigated and Amelia was charged with neglect and sentenced to 6 months of hard labor.
After the 6 months of hard labor, Dyre went back to what she knew best— baby farming. However, this time, she was smarter. She didn’t seek out doctors to sign death certificates, and started disposing of the bodies herself. Amelia never stayed in a single place for too long. She frequently traveled and used aliases to avoid suspicion. Amelia’s youngest daughter, Polly, often helped care for the children. Polly eventually married Arthur Palmer, and went into the baby farming business with her mother.
Amelia Dyre started showing signs of mental illness. Throwing violent fits, hearing voices, and attempting suicide. She was checked into different mental hospitals also. However, many thought she was faking mental illness because she would have fits whenever someone stuck their nose in her business.
On March 30, 1896, 15 month old Helena Fry was found in the River Thames. She was found with edging tape around her neck. The infant was then traced back to a Mrs. Thomas— one of Dyers many aliases. Eventually she was arrested.
When investigators entered Amelia’s house, the stench of death and rotting corpses permeated the air. However, there were no bodies found. Several more bodies were fished from the Thames, each one found with edging tape around their necks.
Amelia Dyer was arrested for the murder of Helena Fry. Polly and her husband were arrested also, for being accomplices. Amelia attributed the killing of Helena to insanity.
She was executed by hanging on June 10, 1896.
Over the course of 20 years, Amelia Dyer was said to have killed around 200- 400 infants. Sadly though, she wasn’t the first, and she wouldn’t be the last. The idea of taking a child, promising that it would be safe, then killing it soon after, happened more often than not. It wouldn’t be until the passing of the Children’s Act of 1908, that authorities started cracking down on baby farming.
Amelia Dyer was a serial killer, a monster, a true angel maker.
“You’ll know mine, by the tape around their necks”

What’s a poor woman to do? At the intersection of impoverished women desperate for a means to support themselves and their fellow women (often also not well off) eager to rid themselves of an unwanted child arose the curious practice of ‘babyfarming’.
Before foster care and adoption was regulated by British law, Victorian mothers saddled with unwanted and often illegitimate children could turn to the local ‘child minder’ to take the baby off her hands. With either one lump sum or periodic payments she could discretely pass off the care of the baby, either with the intention of returning later (as was more common in wealthier families) or to permanently give up the child.
But for the woman who took on the child, the trouble came to rid herself of the burden soon enough to make a profit. This career was not one chosen out of compassion but out of need, and the longer she had to feed and clothe the baby the more she risked actually losing money. Her goal was to have him adopted right away but often there was surplus of children compared to the families looking to adopt. This left the ‘babyfarmer’ with a financial incentive to neglect or even outright murder the babies-- take the lump sum payment and either give the child the barest care possible until someone adopted him, or smother him.
This neglect and cruelty was an open secret. There were many other terms for childcare during this time but ‘babyfarming’ arose specifically as an insult meant to imply cruelty and neglect, and eventually the law caught up to that neglect. By the late 19th and early 20th century numerous laws had been enacted to regulate childcare in Britain and her territories, slowly phasing out babyfarming. But how many children were lost before laws and regulations appeared one can only guess. An unwanted and unnamed child might be the easiest victim of all.

This is an example of taxfunded hateporn, specifically commercial Nigerian-style Babyfarming with thepeomotion of abuse as a standard of entertainment - completely in Line with early descriptions of domestically detained women (and men). There’s a documentary on trafficking in Mauretania, where the overweight midwife describes the imposed over-eating and pulling/pushing of girls to subordinate and tie them to her. But realistically, the genes would still belong to the mother. The offspring would still belong to the mother and therefore marrying rapist and rape-e is already an indication of corruption and mental illness. 1. There is no trust and can’t be. 2. A rapechild can’t learn to trust a rapist 3. Rape Can never be undone 4. Everyone dies without exception (what would a rapechild have to lose?) Nothing. If the mother was violated by “the nanny” trust isn’t owed. Respect isn’t owed. Authority isn’t there. https://www.instagram.com/p/CfLqOOyNYAL/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I harvested 1 tomaniato today. I didn’t take a picture, take this lil mantis instead :)
.
Update on the garden: It’s raining (July 31st) t’day so I didn’t water the garden. I saw a baby squash. The watermelons are growing well, they’re bettin’ bigger! The tomaniatos are doin’ what they do, and doing it well. Where I did have cabbage, little sprouts are coming back up, I wonder what they’ll do.
I’m thinking of getting a duck and a hen, but first I want to get a coup.(I don’t plan on eating them!!) I can’t decide if I want to make one or find one.
.
Since I want to always have fresh content for this blog, I’ve decided to take bigger steps into the world of a wannabe farmer.

Good thing humans dont taste better to humans than we do, imagine the missing persons rates given sufficient market pressure for human meats and milks
Like the babyfarming couple in pink flamingos but if it were as common as meth labs and they threw the babies out

Amelia Dyer is believed to have murdered hundreds of babies during the 19th Century. Her crimes led to one of the most sensational trials of the period and shone a spotlight on the Victorian practice of "baby farming". How did a seemingly respectable woman stoop to such cruelty? On 30 March
