honestly i think one of my favorite things about ziggs as a character is that, when you meet them, they kind of seem like they're gonna just be this chill stoner trope, which to an extent they are (cool, artsy hippie who makes jokes about tig ol' bitties), but also...,,,.,,,,., they're such a whiner

like in perky's buds they have a lot to very genuinely complain about, that whole situation sucks and no one could fault them for voicing that they're upset,,,.,. but...,,., thats not what they're doing nessecarily

they're pouting, they're going '���🥺 emmmmaaaaa the nighthawks made me shit in front of them and puked in my mouuuuttthhh 🥺🥺' with the exact same intonation and distress as they're going '🥺🥺 but thats my greatful dead shirttttt🥺🥺' and '🥺🥺 i dont wanna go get my boss the farmhouse is so farrrrrrrr🥺🥺'

like hatchetfield has a lot of complainers/bitchers (emma herself is a master bitcher) but ziggs is an objectively whiny character and it's a heat im obsessed with and the whiner representation we need

I had a really funny thought in the shower. I know that you’ve referred to Ozzy and Ziggy as twins. I am a twin and my parents always told my sister and I that they knew we were up to something when things got quiet. I thought of the following scene and could not stop laughing:

Imagine Ozzy and Ziggy a bit older in Killer’s kitchen, which they are totes not supposed to be in and have made a huge mess. Killer walks in and..:

Ziggy: uh-oh Ozzy, Papa looks mad.

Ozzy: nah. We’d know if he’s mad.

*Killer pulls out some rectangles from his pocket and sticks the on his mask to make angry eyebrows*

Ozzy: OH SHIT!

Cut to Kid on the deck of the Victoria Punk and Ozzy & Ziggy run into him but they keep running

Kid: Hey! What’s the big idea?

Ozzy & Ziggy: PAPA’S MAD!!

Kid then sees Killer running into view

Kid: OH SHIT! RUN KIDS, RUN!!

ngl lazy skate is my favorite au so far and i love drawing them. at first, i really wanted to start a mid90s/skate kitchen au, and i had all sorts of angsty ideas in my head but… well. you know when all you want is to read something fluffy? or sweet? full of banter, yeah, but above everything else, something about queer joy? yeah. that was also me.

so i got super inspired by the tv series betty (the skate kitchen spin-off). the idea of finding love, friendship, and acceptance in a small skateboarding community. and lazy skate co was born. my baby 😌

unfortunately, life has been hard for me lately, and i had to stop creating for a few months, but i’m excited to find some time to get back on track again and update the series soon ❤️
