HIS Niyati - Bhallaldeva x Modern AU Reader(Time travel)
PROMO
I gazed at the night sky, and my eyes teared at the thought of being in this totally unknown place—or world, I would say.
What am I doing here? Why am I here? When I was supposed to be back home with my comfort blanket, watching the movies. But here I am in one of the movies I loved. The cold air caressed my neck and hair, causing goosebumps to rise all over my body, and The hair at the back of my neck stood, causing me to freeze, as if a predator was watching me as a devil in the dar that would make the mortals mind to froze. I slowly gulped down and turned around, only for my breath to get stuck in my chest as my eyes widened.
Standing before me is the devil himself, the darkness that will cloud Mahimati in the upcoming years—Bhallaldeva himself.
His majestic body and toned physics will make your brain make contrary statements about him if you don't know who he is or what he has become.
Not only did his eyes find mine, but a sudden change in his body and his eyes made me gulp down. His legs slowly took a step and came near me. I tried to stand my legs on the ground and not show that I was intimidated by the mass of handsome muscles coming at me.
But nothing could prepare me for the next thing that happened. Amusement filled his eyes, his lips turned up, and he smiled. I mean, Bhallaldeva SMILED!! That, too, looking down at me. I have watched Baahubali more than 50 times, both 1 and 2, but I have never seen a smile from that handsome devil. But here he is, standing before me and smiling, the very happy one that could make your heart go Wheeeee!!!
"You... you are... here." His voice came out as he whispered, surprising me. I tilted my head slightly and looked at him, responding to him.
I licked my lips as I spoke back to him, "Sorry. I don't get what you are saying." I tried to keep it simple.
But just as his soft fingers caressed my cheeks like a feathre gracing over it, his cold fingers felt so good at the top of my heated cheeks, My body melted at his touch.
"Ahh," I gasped at his sudden closeness and touch. I found myself leaning into it. He slowly leaned in, and his hot breath grazed the tops of my lips as I yearned for them to touch mine.
But just like that, a voice caused me to come out of the trance.
"Nandhini," Called the familiar voice. I stepped back from the handsome villain before me and turned left to find Baahubali coming towards us. I sighed in relief as my lips bloomed into a smile, but I needed the person before me to see his eyes stuck on my face.
Baahubali smiled as he reached us. "What are you doing out here? Devasena is looking for you," he said, and he turned to find Bhallaldeva looking at both Baahubali and me with his eyes narrowed. "Bhalla, you are here as well?"
I slowly moved and stood behind Baahubali, but I could not stand straight with the eyes of someone like Bhallaldeva directed towards me. I could feel my legs becoming jelly, so I leaned onto one of the Constance I found in this place other than Deva, Baahubali; he smiled at me and let me lean and hold his hand. I am not sure why, but my action caused the young Prince before me, whose face now has something I can't quite place, like anger and something else.
Something then I didn't realise would cause the destruction I witnessed through the screen.
Tumblr media
Note: I recently started an Aemond x modern AU OC, and then today, after completing my Beast out of him series, I got an idea on implementing a same-time travel, of our OC travelling from the modern world into the world of Baahubali and what if our famous Villian Bhallaldeva already obsessed with our OC since he was a child, he always dreamt of her, she is his guidance and support system. But what happens when she gets thrust into this world and has to live among the characters she watches on the screen is real, with the obsessive Prince always on her track. How will our OC react, or will she like how our big bad Prince obsesses over her?
Let me know your thoughts, guys!!

Salaar Part 1 (FULL SPOILER-Y REVIEW)
I finally saw Salaar on Netflix, and as promised, I am going insane over the guys Varadeva.
MUSIC
Music is by Ravi Basrur, same guy who did the scoring of KGF. Let me start by saying that I absolutely loved the songs of KGF. They were high-energy songs perfect for getting yourself hyped up for something. I went into watching Salaar expecting the same thing, but I was proven wrong.
The songs in Salaar are actually more varied. The children in the school singing, "Prathi Gaadhalo" gave me goosebumps. I applaud the fact that Ravi Basrur has such range and versatility in the music he composes and arranges but you can still see his signature in his creations.
KGF & SALAAR?
Speaking of signatures... The visuals are beautiful. Obviously, Prashanth Neel's style is coming through in KGF and now Salaar. Also, there was something in the way the story is told to Shruti Haasan's character, just like how Rocky's story is narrated in KGF.
90% (or more) of mass action films have a flashback portion where the hero's backstory is revealed. In most cases, it's to clarify the hero's motivation or to show us his heroism/what he suffered/his traumas, etc.
In Salaar and KGF, the flashbacks are the entire story. In KGF, it's through an interview for things that happened in the past. In Salaar, the present and the past are more connected. It reminded me of Baahubali Part 1 where the present-day events make up the first half before we then dive into the entire backstory of Amarendra Baahubali. Mahendra's/Shiva's story in the present only really starts in the 2nd movie.
So this is where my ramblings lead to: we all know SS Rajamouli is thinking on a bigger scale. He's thinking epics. With KGF and Salaar, it feels like Prashanth Neel is gearing up for that, too. A lot of the people who dismissed KGF said it was because it was style over substance, which I'm fine with, to be honest, because what PN was trying to do in that movie was obvious, from the storyline to the music especially. He was trying to create a legend, the Legend of Rocky Bhai. Even if the story is not that unique and/or cringe, the fact is Rocky Bhai will now go down in history as one of the most unforgettable mass action characters of Indian cinema.
Here, in Salaar, we get a new world. It is in Khansaar where our epic unfolds.... (At least that was the vibe I was getting while watching.) I mean, Prithviraj said Salaar had Game of Thrones vibes. I'm a sucker for court politics in an interesting new world, so I was hooked. Also, that revelation of Deva being the rightful heir to the throne? C'mon, it's obvious, but it's a classic for a reason. It's such good angst and how Varadha and Deva navigate this revelation when it's revealed to everyone in Part 2 is gonna be amazing.
VARADHA and DEVA
In general, I think most of the characters are very interesting. Not gonna lie, I lost track of some of them midway through the movie. I was consumed by Varadeva every time they were both on screen.
Look, I kinda wished Ranga was still alive so there's that one character that has it out for Varadha and Deva would have to come to his rescue again in Part 2. Anyway, he was an interesting character because he spiraled so fast, and he was always clinging to Rudra's arm and going "I have never asked you for anything since childhood. I want Varadha." and then he was bawling his eyes out, like what a certifiably insane character.
Prabhas and Prithviraj's interactions were really very interesting and fun. I wish we had more. They bantered while fighting, and you can feel they're the type to make fun of each other and have fun. But you can also see how much they truly care for each other that time when Naarang was wielding his sword. They're like, "No, kill me, spare him." DUUUUUUDE. I loved that.
And when Varadha made up his mind, Deva was ready to support him. Who knows what's gonna happen in Part 2.
Action is okay. Was very nice to see them fight side by side.
OVERALL
The cast of characters, the story, the premise, the subplots going around... I'm excited for Part 2!

Top 10 Comfort Films
Tagged by the sweetest @simplypearing 🤍
Tumblr media
Dillagi (1999) - Starring my beloved Deols and loveliest Urmila. This film has it all - action, romance, drama, angst - with a sweet family in the middle of it. Zohra Sehgal's character was the cutest.
Tumblr media
Yes Boss (1997) - My childhood favorite film starring my absolute favorites (and parents). I've watched this so many times I've lost count. Seema & Rahul were flawed yet good people stuck in bad situations whom you rooted for. SRK & Juhi had flawless chemistry as always. The soundtrack is forever iconic.
Tumblr media
Jab We Met (2007) - In my opinion, as close to perfect as a film can get. Still feels fresh after all these years and I can never get tired of watching it.
Tumblr media
Just Married (2007) - If this film only has one fan, it's me. I think it's a realistic portrayal of a couple who had an arranged marriage and how they get used to each other. Fardeen & Esha were really sweet and loveable. I also liked the other couples and how all the characters interacted with each other. If I skim this film, I end up watching the whole thing lol.
Tumblr media
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) - One of my absolute favorites. I can never get tired of it. Iconic. Legendary. I always notice something new with every rewatch. Amarendra & Devasena are the pinnacle of romance, period.
Tumblr media
Duplicate (1998) - Another all time family favorite. This film gave us himbo AND fuckboy SRK, it needs to be appreciated more. Also the most gorgeous ladies, Juhi & Sonali along with the loveable Farida Jalal. Awesome soundtrack and great chemistry between my parents. My sister & I can quote this film by heart and Juhi's comedic scenes are iconic.
Tumblr media
Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994) - I've watched this film so many times in my childhood. I loved Madhuri & Salman's cute, playful chemistry. Renuka Shahane was adorable and it's always nice seeing Mohnish Bahl not playing a villain for once. I'm a sucker for sappy family centric dramas.
Tumblr media
Seventeen Again (2000) - I've been a huge fan of the Mowrys since childhood and this film is super fun with a great (sadly unreleased) soundtrack.
Tumblr media
The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003) - This film is so iconic and I can never get tired of it. It brings me back to my middle school days. I definitely prefer it over the show, tbh. Paolo was cute, idc what anyone says!
Tumblr media
Dosti: Friends Forever (2005) - THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES. I just want to give a shoutout to Bobby’s stylist because I was living for his colorful, tacky shirts. Him & Akshay had great chemistry and you can truly see how much they loved each other and how strong their bond was. My favorites Kareena & Juhi are in this as well and the soundtrack is super nostalgic for me.
Tagging: @shahrukh-khan @singinprincess @nowordsareneeded @goblinsbriide @curryaboo @theinfinitedivides @bloop-monster @stonefruitsupremacy and anyone else who would like to do it! You can say I tagged you!

I was talking to amma about this this morning, cultural associations with specific physical gestures, so crucial to something like Bharatanatyam etc. Those are harder to grasp or acquire, or at least they are for me. When it came out I showed Baahubali 2 to my non South Asian friends, the same way I do DDLJ—-common politics, etc.
But there’s a shot near the beginning of that film that shaped the whole thing for me that they didn’t catch: an elephant bows to the main character, and he lifts his leg in a distinct gesture and the camera lingers on it. It’s supposed to evoke the Vamana-Mahabali story, very deliberately: but they didn’t know that story or gesture, and so kind of engaged it like it was Lion King. Similarly the two fingers, index and middle, grabbing a woman’s nose—-you could cut the camera there, it draws a breath, everyone knows what’s being referenced, and what is implied, unless they don’t.

Learn a Foreign Language Month: Know More About World’s Linguistic Structure
Tumblr media
Since the dawn of time, humans have used language as a medium of communication. But with boundaries and barriers, each culture developed its own unique language to communicate. Despite the Constitution of India recognizing only 22 languages, there are an estimated 780 languages in India itself, making India the second most linguistically diverse country in the world.
December is celebrated as ‘Learn a Foreign Language Month’. During this month, people around the world dust off their old language textbooks, and try to learn a new language.
Learning a new language comes with a lot of benefits. It improves your understanding of other cultures, opens up new job opportunities, and makes it easier for you to travel to another country.
To observe Learn a Foreign Language Month, let’s look at some amazing facts about languages.
There are over 2,700 languages in the world
Tumblr media
Chinese, Spanish, English, and Hindi are some of the most widely spoken languages in the world. But they are only a part of the major languages. It is estimated that there are over 2,700 languages spoken in the world with 7,000 individual dialects.
2. The Khmer language has the highest number of alphabets
With over 74 letters, Khmer is the language with the most number of alphabets. It is the official and national language of Cambodia and has been influenced by Sanskrit and Pali.
3. Tamil and Korean share a lot of common words
According to a legend, Heo Hwang-ok, the wife of Korea’s King Suro, arrived by boat from a distant kingdom called ‘Ayuta’. The kingdom of ‘Ayuta’ has been linked to the mistranslation of the Ay Kingdom, a vassal to the Pandyan Empire of ancient Tamilakam, present-day Tamil Nadu. Despite not being proven, Tamil and Korean languages do share some interesting similarities. Here are just some of the interesting similarities between the languages:
Grass: Pronounced Pul in Tamil, Pol in Korean
Day: Pronounced Nal in Tamil and Korean, both
Little bit: Pronounced Koñcam Koñcam in Tamil and Jogeum Jogeum in Korean
Mother: Pronounced Amma in Tamil, Omma in Korean
Sister/sister-in-law: Pronounced Anni in Tamil, Eonni in Korean
Must/have to: Kattayamaka in Tamil, Kachoyham in Korean
One: Onnu in Tamil, Eonnu in Korean
4. Only 33% of English Language is Thought to be Original
It is estimated that only 33% of words in the English language are derived from Old English, making the rest of the language borrowed. The English language has heavily borrowed from Old Norse, French and Latin. Words have also been derived from Sanskrit like Juggernaut (Jagann?tha), Jungle (Jangala), and Bangle (Bangala).
5. Over 200 languages in the world are artificial
Despite the number of languages estimated at 2,700, there are more than 200 languages completely made for books, television and movies. This shows the capability of human minds. These languages are learnt by hardcore fans around the world. Some popular artificial languages are Na’vi from Avatar, Kiliki from Baahubali, Valyrian and Dothraki from Game of Thrones and a plethora of Elvish languages from Lord of the Rings.
Filaantro, along with Child Help Foundation, recognizes the importance of language. In Ashram Schools, we make an effort to teach students English. This will help them to secure job opportunities in the future.
How many languages can you speak? Let us know in the comment section below.

The causes of the VFX industry's expansion in India
You can develop your creativity, problem-solving, planning, and evaluation skills by majoring in design and technology at the MAAC Institute in Pune. Since many projects require group collaboration, you'll also develop your interpersonal and cooperative skills. Not to mention, it will really exercise your creative side!
1. Booming market: The number of young people interested in using 4G, 5G, and other portable technology has significantly increased. use of visual effects (VFX) in animation and cinema has increased. India is one of the first options when considering a nation that offers services to the animation sector.
 2. Opportunities that are pertinent: The OTT, television, and AGV divisions are propelling business growth, and in this digital era, they are also assisting in the bolstering of technology. Animation businesses and academies are booming in cities like Bangalore, Chennai, and Mumbai.
 3. Supporting legislation: The FDI cap was raised from 74% to 100%. To promote the development of low-cost digital communications infrastructure and services, the government released the National Digital Communications Policy 2018 (NDCP 2018).
 4. Investments: Investment in the animation and VFX industry has increased. In 2021, domestic revenue is anticipated to increase to 40% of total revenue, with around 60% coming from international sources.
In order to enhance and visually affect the content of storytelling, the entertainment industry, production companies, and content providers are creating stories that rely on special effects and animation. Action and mythical films make up a large portion of the movies that were released under Covid, and these films heavily rely on animation and visual effects throughout the creation and post-production phases, which is another factor contributing to the industry's expansion in the nation. The production team may easily use a pre-made setting with some colour modifications thanks to new technologies, which lowers manufacturing expenses. Storylines that extensively rely on animation and special effects are now being developed by filmmakers, production firms, and content suppliers. Inception, Avengers, Baahubali, and of course Khaleesi's dragon from Game of Thrones were all made in India. The most recent action-techno thrill ride with puzzling visual effects includes Tenet (Oscar winner for VFX), KGF, RRR, and Brahmastra. There are a lot more well-known athletes in the competition; these are just a handful. These examples show that although though animation and special effects have always been a part of the process of creating content, they have now reached their highest point.
Finally, with the introduction of modern technologies, the animation and VFX sector has grown to new heights. Nevertheless, a faster growth rate is anticipated in the following several years. The planned expansion has a strong base thanks to sophisticated methods and creative expression. The animation sector is now growing quickly. India is currently thought of as one of the best places to provide animation and content services.

Golden era for India's animation and visual effects industries
If you are an artist and wish to see your work on a big screen, Visual Effects aka VFX courses in Pune is a good career option for you. You can work on high-stake projects, associate with the topmost studios and climb up the corporate ladder to lead teams of talented VFX Artists.
The advent of animation and the development of VFX technology have changed the storytelling paradigm, causing the entertainment industry to experience a boom. Despite the current economic crisis and the production halt during the early pandemic months, there has been considerable competition between the media and entertainment sectors, with animation and visual effects giving the content an advantage. The demand for programming for domestic shows has significantly increased in recent years, with the animation industry alone forecasting a growth of 10% in 2020. Despite significant losses brought on by the pandemic's initial phase, the market size was Rs 24.5 billion.
The second-largest entertainment market in the world is in India. According to research by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Boston Consulting Group (BCG), India's animation and visual effects sector has the potential to take 20 to 25% of the global AVGC market. Directors and producers prefer to use animation and cinematic effects over live-action scenes due to the rising demand for high-quality content in commercials, web series, movies, and OTT. To give the illusion of authenticity and merge fantasy with reality, creators are increasingly incorporating VFX and animation techniques. Creators may create or compose stuff that is rich in fantasy and visual essence in order to keep the momentum going. One estimate claims that by 2025, this industry will be able to support between 75,000 and 125,000 direct and indirect jobs, which will help the Indian economy. In order to produce a successful product, enthusiasts and prospective animators can stretch their creative muscles by combining animation and the VFX industry.
the cause of the expansion
1. Booming market: The number of young people interested in using 4G, 5G, and other portable technology has significantly increased. use of visual effects (VFX) in animation and cinema has increased. okay I finished RRR.
homies is it gay if your ‘bro’ ruins his 15 year old life mission and blatantly states that YOU are his new mission lmao. Everything that happened in that movie was insane.
The part where Ram has to publicly flog Bheem and then Bheem starts singing and there’s a second where Ram acts as if he’s wiping his face when in reality he was subtly wiping away a tear- POETIC FUCKING CINEMA MY LORD.
also that wholeass song sequence where they are just chilling???? it was beautiful but also like just kiss already bbs.
Also why was Alia bhat a part of this like??? what was the reason? respectfully ignoring her existence in this movie
anyways what a fucking movie, I’m so disappointed that I couldn’t go watch it in the hall cause that’s a whole diff vibe. But still I will be thinking of this movie and Ram Charan and N.T. and their dance in that song for the next fifteen years goodbye and god bless
me @ everything that happened in RRR
Tumblr media
HI OMG YESSSS!!!
HELL YES ITS GAY ISTG THIS WHOLE MOVIE WAS SO SO SO GAY IM LOVE IT SMMM 😭😭
OH GOD THE FLOGGING SCENE. OH MY FUCKING GOD. THE WAY RAM HAS TO FLOG BHEEM (PAAAAIIIIIIN) BUT ALSO KEEPS PROTECTING HIM IN LIL WAYS (TUGGING HIS CHAINS SO HE KNEELS, ETC). AND BHEEMS SONG. ISTG THAT WHOLE SCENE IS PAAAIIIIIINNNN.
Listen I'll never shut up about that slow mo underwater running towards each other and holding hands shit at the beginning of that song like. Mr Rajamouli pls this was so gay what were you thinking 😭
I know this is just a joke lol but Alia Bhatt was. Literally just there to bait Bollywood audiences lol. Same for Ajay Devgn. There’s a reason they're both in sooo much of the promo material despite having very little screentime. I understand why they casted her but I wish they didn't do that cause like. Baahubali and KGF proved that you don't need Bollywood actors to make a pan Indian movie (KGF 2 is a teeny tiny exception cause Sanjay Dutt but like. Most of its success was because of KGF 1 so I'm including it here).
Awww sjsjsjs wait is it not still in theaters?? Maybe it's just my city cause I went to the thaters the other day and rrr was still showing? (I was surprised by it too tbh)
Poetic cinema indeed 😌

which lis do you think would be good actors/actresses?
from all seasons? i'll keep short and direct, excluding the ones that are canonically actors (erikah-s1 and rafi-s3):
season 1
allegra. it seems like she keeps her emotions on the surface and i reckon that's an advantage she could use. mainly mexican telenovelas style work but like, that's fucking iconic!
Tumblr media
rohan. he's charismatic and emotional, not afraid of coming across as sensitive and has great looks. i can see him in rom-coms and i stan, badly!
jen. mainly christmas hallmark movies type of stuff but like... sure. she wouldn't go as far as allegra and rohan could, but she would go somewhere.
tim. comedic timing, that's all. he's absolutely funny and i believe comedies would be a different level with him in it, but let me make it clear: AMERICAN PRODUCTIONS. i don't think he would excell at british comedy.
season 2
priya. no tea no shade but she would be stumping on people's heads to get some parts. "oh vena, but she's camera shy." apparently she got over it and i stand by it lol shitty movies like "bad moms", just scriopts that don't demand a lot of range, you know? nothing too deep, she just wants to have fun!
bobby. *player!bobby entered the chat* kidding 👀. rom-coms where he's the best friend, possibly a role or two where he plays the main love interest, and always things like "to all the boys i loved" or something. it's definitely no action movie or anything, always light comedies. he has a good timing, i reckon he just needs a good director.
blake. ai ai ai ai ai ai. people would say how difficult she is to work with but... somehow she always gets the part because, and i hate to say this, she's good at it. possibly always the "man eater" or "superficial girl" in a tv show, definitely never getting an arc because the show sucks so much there's no time, but people remember her.
elisa. oh honey, this might possibly become a dream combo of talent and looks. nothing changes my mind about elisa being a good actress, and extremely professional i might add. she's cast on something that makes people go "wait, what? the girl from love island?" but is surprised because she delivers it so smoothly. i genuinely think she would thrive on productions that has serious issues and debates, like sexuality and drugs.
arjun. he said he was almost a bollywood star, so... definitely could pull off some bollywood productions. i don't reckon he could baahubali his shit, but he could definitely kuch kuch hopta hai for sure!
jakub. he's cast as sloth on the remaking of goonies (that i just KNOW it's about to drop), or the terminator on a new shitty version of it. he's not good, but then again, that's not why he was cast.
i reckon some people could be invited to make an appearance but would not have the talent to pull it off, like lucas or noah, or even gary. they were called in because they look good on screen but it's an absolute disaster because they can't act.
season 3
i cannot think of someone who would risk an acting career but i've only played the season once. granted, i think elladine could surprise us, along with lily but i can't be too sure, it's just a hunch.
