Let there be light!

Look at you, you're gorgeous!

Sharing an update on my LEGO Angels Aziraphale and Crowley and their accessories from that iconic moment in history.✨✨✨

If you're interested in some details about the parts I used and the modifications I made...

CROWLEY'S HAIR

I've shared a close-up photo already, but here's a bit more of the 'work in progress':

The huge curl on top of the LEGO hairpiece #13785 seemed to be a great start for Angel!Crowley's hair, so I went with one of these pieces and basically chopped off everything except for that curl. Several layers of Milliput and spray paint turned it into Angel!Crowley. 😉

TORSOS

Both Aziraphale and Crowley got some simple custom printed original LEGO torsos. I'll be the first to admit that I have no idea about designing fabric folds in a way suitable for teeny-tiny LEGO torsos, but I did my best. 🤷

ROBES

Most of the other custom body parts were taken from several of these minifigures:

(Koruit XP-685 Liu Bang)

ARMS

Both of my angels got a pair of these arms for a closer match to their angelic robes. After removing the original print, I added stripes of golden self-adhesive vinyl foil to recreate the (different) borders on their sleeves.

'BOTTOMS'

While Aziraphale got a simple white original LEGO skirt, I used this wonderful taller custom Koruit bottom part for Crowley's robes to add some extra height (nevermind that this "skirt" part is not compatible with original LEGO torsos and the necessary modifications had me swearing quite a bit).

SCROLL

The scroll used to "crank it all up" was also designed by me and custom printed on a 2x3 LEGO tile. I love how it's just the perfect width to be held by Aziraphale!

CROWLEY'S CRANK

You might have seen Crowley's crank in some of my other LEGO Omens pics already, but I'll gladly share its 'secret' with you: it's LEGO piece #15534 in Flat Silver (after cutting off everything that doesn't look like Crowley's crank and sanding it down). It's not perfect and I might create a different crank piece in the future, but I actually love the simplicity of this solution. 😉

WINGS

The wings are still something I am not satisfied with... There simply aren't any solutions available that fit perfectly, so I'll probably keep switching between different wings for my LEGO Omens pictures.

Anyway, in the above photo Aziraphale got a slightly modified version of the relatively new LEGO wings form this minifigure:

The neck part just looked unexpectedly thick with the "regular" LEGO minifigure head sitting on top of it, so I meticulously carved the neck hole out until the head could sink all the way down inside it. Still not perfect, but definitely looking better this way!

For Crowley's wings I used a pair of BrickWarriors custom bird wings:

The shape isn't ideal, especially the rather sharp edges at the top. So I cut those off and sanded the rounded corners down to make the wings look a bit more angelic (I'll probably give Crowley's pair of black wings the same treatment).

GO Team Love Project

I went ahead and started a project for the Good Omens team to send 'em a little love! I think it would be cute to compile a bunch of written Thank Yous, but them together in a gallery, and show them to the folks who've been working on getting a Good Omens finale going.

Most of the information is in this Google document. The TL;DR of it is that everyone writes a short personalized message and takes a photo or screenshot of it, then sends it to me through email so I can put everything together in a gallery. I'm collecting images from now until November 3.

Oh, a fellow Good Omens LEGO fan! This looks absolutely stunning! @neversam23, I adore your tiny version of Whickber Street. The bookshop looks awesome, especially with the warm glow of the lighting! So many beautiful details! Also, your Aziraphale and Crowley minifigs look gorgeous! Just out of curiosity... did you have the parts custom printed or did you use decals? Either way, the design is really cute!

Spent a few happy hours on the Lego Whickber Street project today. The chinese restaurant is done. All the lights are working as well. I used diy-parts from Briksmax - not cheap and a bit fiddly, but it was worth putting them in. Also: Thank you to the person who made a map of the street (I can't remember where I saw it), I tried to figure out what the shop next to the bookshop was, but the sign was never in focus in the show (or my focus was off, that is also a possibility).

Good Evening! Here is my interpretation of Gabriel's arrival in Soho. I customised the minifigure by painting his eyes violet, and the blanket was only stripey when I started. Thin strips of tape and more violet paint hopefully make it look like tartan. I was lucky to find lots of different skin tones for the crowd in Lego pick-a-brick, (from the table football set, but I didn't have to buy the whole set!)

Oh look, there's my belated contribution for week fourteen(!) of the Ineffable Prompt-A-Thon. Somehow my initial idea escalated a bit and turned into this monster of seven limericks with accompanying LEGO (and related brands) illustrations! Apparently God loves her Sevens and wouldn't let me get away with anything less. 😉 Enjoy!

There once were an angel and demon, Who loved Earth, but also some scheming. Godfathering a child Might sound quite wild; About saving our world they were dreaming.

There once was an Antichrist called Adam, Who loved shenanigans with The Them. Brought up quite normal, Not divine, nor infernal, The Apocalypse he did condemn!

There once was a planet pretty blue, With twinkling stars for a gorgeous view. When extinction loomed, Her champions felt doomed, Yet sabotaged the Great Plan coming true.

There once was a plan so ineffable, That it was completely inaccessible. Neither Heaven nor Hell Could really tell If saving Earth hadn’t been intentional.

Once again there were our angel and demon, But this time the Metatron was scheming, Taking away their breath, Serving coffee or death, Namely a promotion and a redeeming.

Then there were plans for a Second Coming. (Sadly not in the sense of good punning.) Will Jesus come back? Will Earth finally crack? No, it must be saved from succumbing!

In the end there will always be love, Despite Hell below and Heaven above. A South Downs cottage? Some yummy…. pottage? There will be a Happy End to speak of!

@ineffablyruined Once again, thank you for another lovely prompt that gave me a much needed "butt kicking" to finally make Aziraphale's flaming sword and Crowley's crank for a recreation of that scene from season one.

Also, sorry for the delay, but it took me quite some time to put all this together! It was fun, though! Hopefully my interpretation of the prompt works? After weeks of changing things around again and again my initial concept got a bit scrambled (like my brain)! 😉

I haven't seen anyone talk about the fact that the Metatron put Muriel in charge of the bookshop, specifically calling them "the dim one"

Like, he wouldn't trust anyone else with that amount of human knowledge, and specifically chose someone that he thinks won't be swayed by it.

Meanwhile, Muriel thinks that the Metatron specifically chose them because they're special and/or important.

It's yet another way in which the Metatron is such a slimy, manipulative person, and I'm really hoping for some character development of Muriel in the next season.

Also, this is just my own speculation, but I feel like Muriel is going to help Crowley again, except this time it won't be by accident.
