notes: adam lambert's emcee is astounding. vocally, he's the best emcee to come out of this production, and he has the acting chops to match. ayla ciccone-burton's sally seems a bit more worldly than auliʻi cravalho's, whose sally comes across as very young. i think i prefer cravalho's interpretation, but they're both amazing. bebe neuwirth is stunning as fraulein schneider, of course, and her chemistry with steven skybell as herr schultz is off the charts. as my relationship with cabaret has developed over time, i've become more and more invested in schneider and schultz's story over sally and cliff's, so i really love what neuwirth and skybell are able to do with the characters. i still love cliff and sally though, and calvin leon smith as cliff is possibly my favorite cliff out of all i've seen. he's so sweet and caring, and really plays the softness of the role so well. henry gottfried humanizes ernst a lot in his portrayal, which the character obviously doesn't deserve, but gottfried is great no less and what he brings to the role is impressive. his ernst comes off kind of queer in my opinion, at least in his interactions with cliff, which i think is in line with the direction from the west end. overall, i just love this show and while i was initially hesitant about this revival (as a huge fan of the mendes version), they really knocked it out of the park

Dreamcast: Moulin Rouge but make it all six

Also called I'm doing @sixcostumerefs thing and dreamcasting another show with six actors. I will fully admit I have spent a lot of time thinking about which six actors I would like to see in Moulin Rouge and was actually loosing my mind when six SK got two MR actresses. So here goes female presenting roles six dreamcast.

Also a quick note. When it comes to (most) principals there are many queens who would be great at them, some have been in auditions and I wouldn't be surprised to see more six alumni going into Moulin Rouge. But the ensemble gets a lot more complicated. Six casts great singers and actors who are solid dancers. Moulin Rouge casts great dancers who sing and its not rare to see former profesional ballet dancers in the cast. There isn't much overlap when it comes to who could get cast in either show, so I went with the ones that have the best dance technique and seem to have some degree of ballet background even if it is not at the level Moulin rouge looks for. Also full disclosure; Elisabeth did most of the research for this I just took advantage of her info.

Heels is the the gender neutral way Moulin Rouge designates the can-can dancer tracks in the US and UK (flats for male presenting roles), some companies do use female/male and AUS uses skirts/tails. Heels is the one I am used to and the one that makes the most sense to me so thats what I'm going with.

Estelle is actually really friendly to enemies, having much higher empathetic energy than the rest of the six. Still, Estellar is a close second to that trait.

Estellar is really clever whenever it comes to figuring out how people tick. The moment she does, that information becomes really useful when she either needs to pull someone to her side or just control someone who she's an enemy towards

Estelle does sometimes fuse with other characters, one of the most notable variants that she has managed to accomplish is Stevelle, a fusion between herself and Steven (SU). The result was a very magenta non-binary entity with a pink and purple diamond crushed together, blended with a hint of corruption magic and the fusion was... surprisingly stable. Oftentimes, corruption can break a fusion really quickly, but instead it just influenced a lot of negative energy on the entity.

Estelle's magic had been tweaked numerous times in different realities, the most major changes being Star and Ayla, who both possess corruption but in varying formats.

Despite having the absorption ability, Estelle rarely uses it. Besides, it often strains her body whenever she takes on too much so she prefers to keep her distance.

Afra was taken to the hospital but her injuries weren't serious. After the accident, Gunul realized that they needed a fresh start so she decided to go back to Germany with Afra. Gunul and Afra officially left the show in tonight's episode. Before leaving, Gunul gave Sengul the keys to her restaurant. I remember that Sengul and Kadir wanted to buy that restaurant before Cemile stole the money and gave it to her sister. At least now they will have a stable source of income. Btw this filming location is popular because I watch another show where they film there daily and I always get reminded of kardeslerim lol

The important parts for me of this extremely boring episode are Akif opening the box at the bank (the box belonged to Akif and Resul's company) and Ayla watching the video on Resul's phone and I think these two events are connected to each other. 

The bank called Akif and told him that they have a box under the name of his and Resul’s company and that they want him to open it (I am guessing since the company doesn't exist anymore they wanted to get rid of it). Akif found some documents that Resul left in the box. Akif's shocked/puzzled reaction indicates that the documents are important. Any guesses? I think the documents could be a DNA test proving that Berk is not Resul’s son. Maybe Ayla was in a relationship with someone else while she was with Resul or maybe just before she started dating Resul and she got pregnant with Berk but didn’t tell Resul that he wasn’t his child. Resul did a DNA test and found out that Berk was not his son and he didn’t say anything but then why would he keep the DNA test? Another possibility is that Resul has another child maybe? Remember when Omer said that Berk is the only one who doesn't have a sibling in their class? We know that the writers like to tease future plots. However, I don’t see how this could stop Ayla from talking. The worst thing that could happen is her giving a portion of Resul’s inheritance to this child so I don’t think that Akif could silence her with this. The documents could also be adoption papers of Berk. Maybe at first Resul and Ayla wanted a kid but Ayla couldn’t get pregnant so they decided to adopt. Ayla wouldn’t want Berk to know about that. The final theory is that the documents could bankrupt the Ozkayas and Akif would tell Ayla not to tell anyone about the video or he would make her go bankrupt. Whatever it is that Akif found in that box it’s 100% related to Berk or her fortune. What do you guys think?

Berk went by his house with Doruk to get some clothes. Doruk mentioned how his father's behaviour with his mom and Suzan is driving him crazy and Berk said that he wishes his father was alive and was driving him crazy too. Berk said that he missed his voice so he went to look for his phone and turned it on. He wanted to check if there was a recording of his dad’s voice (a video or an audio file). He was about to check the files when Ayla came. Since Berk is still pissed at her, he didn’t want to stay any longer and so he left. He didn't even talk to his mom or look at her so I am guessing he still hasn't returned home? It was so confusing for everyone in this episode because we didn't see him at the chicken coop and we only saw him at school. It’s not clear whether he’s back to living with his mom or if he’s living somewhere else. Ayla was sad when she heard Berk talk about Resul. She held Resul’s phone and looked at his picture with Berk and said that she misses him too. She went through the pictures on the phone and found the video. She was shocked when she saw Akif push Veli.

In the teaser: 

Ayla: “Did Akif kill you because of this??” and then she drops the phone

She goes to the restaurant and tells the Erens:”There is something very important that you should know about”

Then she tells Akif:”That’s why you killed my husband right? So he doesn’t go to the police”

Then they show Akif trying to stop her and I am guessing he will use whatever he found in the box to threaten her.

Today’s episode felt like a filler episode. The last 10 min were the most interesting parts but the rest was a waste of time. At least, next week’s episode will be better according to the teaser.
