ramadan 30 day challenge
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
introducing the ramadan 30 day challenge!
I made this challenge in the hopes of catering to as many people as I can - so, regardless of anyone's home situation, health, money, whether or not you live near a mosque or a community etc, I think it is somewhat do-able or adaptable for all! you can access anything you need for this (verses/surahs from the Qur'an for eg) online. I also know that for some people (depending on countries etc), ramadan is either 29 or 30 days, so it's fine to finish on the 29th day if necessary.
if you miss a couple days as well (or end up seeing this post halfway through ramadan), just pick up from whatever day of ramadan it is!
it starts off easy and gets harder as you go along! i'm also going to be doing this ramadan challenge and posting my own updates on here, Insha’Allah! if you do this too, please do tag me because I would love to see how people are getting on! ♡ here it is:
recite surah ikhlas 3 times
recite durood sharif 3 times
read Qur'an after asr
recite the 3 Quls (last 3 surahs of the Qur'an) in the evening/before sleeping today
listen to an islamic podcast
write down 5 things you are grateful to Allah for on paper or phone notes app
istighfar 100 times
read all of surah mulk before bed
wake up for tahajjud and pray (at least) 2 rakaats
learn 5 names/attributes of Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ
do something nice for somebody else - can even be very small and will still be rewarded for it
wear your favourite abaya/thobe/modest clothing for every salah today. look your best for Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ in your prayer like you would to go to a special event
give some (charity) sadaqah (create a sadaqah jar/box!)
read the last 2 verses of surah baqarah before sleeping
make a du'a for your friends and family - name them and pray for something specific for each of them
read all of surah Ya Sin after fajr
pray 2 nafl rakaats (voluntary prayer) today after the 2 sunnah rakaats of zuhr
no backbiting/gossiping about anyone at all and 2 nafl rakaats (voluntary prayer) if you do
pick a surah from the Qur'an and read the commentary for each verse
memorise the dua to recite on laylatul qadr اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي Allahumma innaka 'Afuwwun, tuhibbul 'afwa, fa'fu 'anni "O Allah, You are indeed Forgiving and love to forgive, so forgive me."
donate to a charity (for palestine!!). even the smallest amount will be beneficial + rewarded by Allah
recite ayatul kursi after each 5 fard (obligatory) salah
pray all the 12 sunnah today: 2 rakaats before Fajr; 4 rakaats before zuhr and two rakaats after; 2 rakaats after Maghrib; and 2 rakaats after Ishaa
pray (at least) 2 rakaats of taraweeh (either at the mosque or at home by yourself/with family!)
pray 2 rakaats of duha (optional) prayer - it is between 15 minutes after sunrise until zuhr time. (not after zuhr!!)
recite subhanallahi wabihamdi, subhanallahil adheem 100 times - (Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Him, glory be to Allah, the Great)
be extra modest today (tailored to you. wear hijab outside if you don't, or wear your loosest outfit or lower your gaze completely (including lowering it on social media) today etc. whatever being extra modest is for you, do that today).
pray on time, no procrastination or delays. check what local time each prayer is for you and pray then (unless you're praying at the mosque!)
istighfar x1000 times
pray some of the nawafil ON TOP OF all the sunnah prayers that accompany the 5 obligatory prayers: - 2 rakaats of duha prayer - 2 rakaats after the 2 sunnah rakaats of zuhr - 4 rakaats before asr - 2 rakaats after the 2 sunnah rakaats of maghrib - 2 rakaats after the 2 sunnah rakaats of ishaa (extra challenge: wake up for tahajjud too)
level extreme: if you want an extra extra challenge, you can continue doing each one every day as you go along. so day 1 would be recite surah ikhlas 3 times and day 2 would be recite surah ikhlas and durood sharif 3 times, day 3 would be recite surah ikhlas and durood sharif 3 times and read Qur'an after asr... and you get the gist. if you do this, good luck on day 30 when you have 30 things to do lol
note: giving sadaqah (charity) can be adapted if donating money is a struggle - for eg, doing dhikr on behalf of somebody else can count as sadaqah. click here for more info on this.
may Allah make this challenge easy for whoever intends to participate and let the deeds indeed be multiplied by 100 this ramadan and forgive us for our shortcomings, Ameen ♡

🌺📿🌺 The Secret Of The Tasbeeh Of Lady Fatima al-Zahra (sa) 📿
📿 Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (as) said :
“One who recites the Tasbeeh of Sayeda Fatima al-Zahra (sa) Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) said:
“One who recites the Tasbeeh of Sayeda Fatima al-Zahra (sa) after a wajib namaz before he stretches out his legs (i.e. he recites the Tasbeeh while he is in the posture of Tashahhud), then Jannat becomes wajib upon him”
Falaah Saael by Ibne Taoos (ra)
(p. 165)
📿 Another tradition from Imam al-
Sadiq (as) says:
“One who glorifies Allah after the obligatory prayer through the Tasbeeh of Sayeda Fatima al-Zahra (sa) and then follows it up by saying ‘Laa ilaaha illallah’, Allah will forgive his sins.”
Al-Kafi, Kitabus Salaat
(pg. 342)
📿 Reciting the Tasbeeh of
Fatima al-Zahra (sa) before
sleeping Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (as)
says:
“One who recites the Tasbeeh of sayeda Fatima al-Zahra (sa) at the time of going to bed, he will be accounted amongst those who have remembered Allah a lot.”
Wasaaelush Shia
(vol. 4, pg. 1026)
📿 In the book ‘Wasaaelush Shia’
there is a tradition from Imam
Muhammad al-Baqir (as)
which says that at the time of going to bed, Tasbeeh of Sayeda Fatima al-Zahra (sa) and then Mauzatain (Surah Falaq and Surah Naas) and Ayatul Kursi should be recited.
📿 Teaching the recitation of
Tasbeeh to the children In this
connection, Imam Jafar al-Sadiq
(as) says:
“O Abu Haroon! We order our children to recite the Tasbeeh of Fatima al-Zahra (sa) in the same manner as we order them for the performance of Namaz”
Al-Kafi, Kitabus Salaat
(pg. 343)
📿 Reciting Tasbeeh made out of the Turbah of grave of Imam Hussain (as) It is better that the Tasbeeh of Fatima
al-Zahra (sa) be made of the pure Turbah (soil) of the grave of Hamza (as).
📿 It has been narrated from
Imam e-Zaman (atfj)
“One who just holds the Tasbeeh made out of the soil of the grave of Imam Hussain (as) and does not do any Zikr, even then for him will be written the reward of having recited the Azkaar”
Wasaaelush Shia
(vol. 4, pg. 1033)
📿 Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (as) says:
“One zikr or Istighfaar recited on the Tasbeeh made out of the soil of the grave of Imam Hussain (as) is equal to 70 such zikr recited on any other thing.”
Wasaaelush Shia
(vol. 4, pg. 1033)
🌺 As-salamu alaykum Ya 🌺
🌺📿 Lady Fatima al-Zahra (sa) 📿🌺
Please share it so the world would
know the high status of reciting
📿 Tasbeeh Of Fatima al-Zahra (sa) 📿

Ayatul Kursi The Greatest Verse Of The Quraan! اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِهِ إِلَّا بِمَا شَاءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَئُودُهُ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ Allahu laa ilaaha illaa Huwa al-Hayyul Qayyoom; laa ta’khudhuhu sinatun wa laa nawm; lahu maa fissamawati wa maa fil-ard; man dhalladhi yashfa’u ‘indahu illaa bi-idhnihi; ya’lamu maa bayna aydeehim wa maa khalfahum; wa laa yuheetoona bishay’im min ‘ilmihi illaa bimaa shaa’a; wasi’a kursiyyuhu assamawati wal-ard; wa laa ya’ooduhu hifdhuhumaa; wa Huwa al-‘Aliyyul ‘Adheem Allah! There is no god (worthy of worship) except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither tiredness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge, except what He wills. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Highest, the Greatest. (Surah al-Baqarah 2:255)

4 habits that will change your life ✨
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
istighfar x100 a day
i cannot stress enough how powerful istighfar is. when i first started doing this x100 a day, i almost told my therapist i don't need therapy anymore because life suddenly got so much better lol. obviously, that didn't last because life isn't consistent and stable like that. nonetheless, istighfar protects you, it gives you strength through Allah's Mercy, it brings you closer to Him, it grants you peace and happiness. it doesn't take too long to do 100 times a day. just sit there after a prayer, i picked fajr, and recite 'astagfirullah' on your fingers like you would usually do tasbih after salah, or use beads etc. it takes about 5 minutes of your day and will change your life. try it every day for 1 week and see what happens.
dhikr when you wake up and before you go to bed
by doing this, you're starting and ending your day with the remembrance of Allah. my grandma used to say that the way you start your morning determines the rest of your day. it's also scientifically proven that the first thing your brain gets dopamine from is what your brain is going to look for the rest of the day. for eg, if you go on your phone as soon as you wake up, you're more likely to be tapping your phone, scrolling, going on your phone for the rest of the day. because it sets the tone!
so, if you start your day with the remembrance of Allah, not only are you getting blessings for it and improving your relationship with Him, but you'll set the tone for the rest of the day and will probably be more inclined to do dhikr later on too. i can testify that it definitely works. it's the best way to get your day started.
and when you end with dhikr, it's the same thing but in reverse--a peaceful way to end the day, easier to fall asleep and a great way to feel connected to Allah سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ. it's also scientifically proven that the condition you fall asleep in usually stays with the person all night. think about a time you've had such a good day/night and you fall asleep happy. did you wake up feeling good? what about when you've fallen asleep crying or upset? maybe the sleep was so good after but did you still wake up happy? so, if you go to sleep in a state of remembering Allah, you'll likely wake up in that state too.
now think about the benefits of doing dhikr as you go to bed and wake up every single day. you'll always be in a state of the remembrance of Allah! the Prophet ﷺ used to recite the last three surah's of the qur'an, ayatul kursi and the last two verses of surah baqarah. you can do any dhikr you'd like, 'subhanallah wa bihamdi' or 'alhamdulillah' or 'astagfirullah'. pick whatever you like.
surah mulk before bed
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"There is a surah in the Qur'an, with thirty verses, which will intercede for its companion (the one who recites it) until he is forgiven: Tabarakal-ladhi bi yadihil mulk (Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the Dominion)." - Surah Mulk (Sunan Ibn Majah 3786)
surah mulk has lots of benefits, and Abdullah bin Mas‘ud (one of the companions of our beloved Prophet ﷺ) narrated that “whoever recites Surah al-Mulk every night, Allah will prevent the punishment of grave by this Surah”.
so clearly, there are a lot of benefits by reciting this surah that we will thank ourselves for in the next life - preparing for our akhirah (afterlife) is very important. you'll also end your day with the remembrance of Allah and have the specific reminder through this surah that everything belongs to Allah and is under His control. it helps me have nice dreams too.
it's not very long, it has 30 verses so it won't take a really long time.
learning a new surah bimonthly
this helps you build a relationship with the Qur'an and is a nice challenge for you to incorporate into your life. i recommend reading the translation and commentary of the surah first, so that you don't simply memorise it but know what it's about, what Allah is trying to say with the chapter and how you can live by it. but incorporating the memorisation of Allah's words into your life is a gamechanger: you'll build a bond with Allah, with the Qur'an and also with your salah too. because it's always exciting to be able to recite a new surah in your prayers - being able to do that multiple times a year is great.
Tumblr media
start small and you will turn these all of these into habits. remember that the Prophet ﷺ said that 'the best of deeds are those which are done consistently, even if it is a little' (Sunan Ibn Majah 4240). what do we call things that are done consistently? habits!
start with one and do it every day for 30 days. then keep going and slowly add another once the first one has become fully established as a habit. sometimes we want to rush and do everything all at once and change our lives overnight. that's the worst thing to do because you'll either never do it or, you will start, then become so overwhelmed with so many new things to do that the habits won't stay and won't be long term. don't worry, we have our whole lives :) start slow and your life will change for the better. may Allah make it easy for us all, Ameen ♡

Hadith on Quran: The Prophet recites al-Sajdah, al-Mulk before sleep
Jabir reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would not go to sleep until he had recited the chapters, “The revelation of the Book, in which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds,” (32:1) and, “Blessed is He in whose hand is the dominion, and has power over all things,” (67:1).
Tawus said, “They both have seventy more virtues than every other chapter of the Quran.”
