Imagine Luo Binghe trying to delicately introduce his shizun to such strange concepts as smart phones and credit cards, while Shen Qingqiu is just desperately trying to figure out how dumb he should play this. Would it be believable for him to get everything on the first try? There have to be some differences between what he knows and this world's versions, right, because of the demons and cultivators and things? Right?? But it's not like any of this actually IS difficult for him to grasp!

the first time yuta gets to hold your baby… he is somewhat nervous.

and rightly so, as the moment he holds him, baby immediately bursts into tears.

“i’m sorry!!” he immediately hands the baby back to you in flurry. “i’m sorry— i didn’t mean to harm him!”

you hug your bawling son close, consoling him, and sheepishly smile. “it’s okay, yuta…”

gojo, who oversees the exchange, hummed thoughtfully. “your cursed energy is overwhelming. he senses rika. my son is scared.”

hearing that makes yuta feel even worse as he takes a step back from all of you, quietly dawdling in the corner. at first, you let him be, but it’s clear how yuta keeps watching his friends and particularly inumaki playing with the baby, and he seems down even more.

and it gives you an idea. later, after you get your son back, you bring him to him.

“baby, c’mon, don’t be scared, hmm?” you nuzzle him before turning to your husband’s first student. “yuta, can you take off your ring first?”

hesitantly, he takes it off and receives your son. yuta braces himself for instant cries but…

the baby is quiet in his arms. he doesn’t smile still, but he’s certainly not rejecting him. his white hair, crystal blue eyes—everything points out to his ancestry. incredibly cute, he thinks.

then suddenly, the baby tugs at his collar tightly, and he has to lean forward so he won’t choke.

seeing that he no longer is scared of him, yuta laughs, feeling warmth spreading inside him.

“he… is really gojo-sensei’s son, isn’t he?”

Ahh thank you!!! That's really flattering fkljgfjf....It's always a pleasant surprise that people like Neves :'-) (and I love when I get an excuse to post my doodles of her and the Lamb lol)

I am in the works of trying to write a cotl fanfic abt this specific au (I call it The Apostate & The Martyr in my head lol), but writing doesn't come as easily as drawing to me SIGH. I've actually written quite a bit, but the problem is putting all these random excerpts together to make something coherent LOL. But yes, the fic is intended to be the story of The Lamb and Neves' friendship amidst the brutality and terror of the Lands of the Old Faith, how to deal with the consequences of their choices, and the mutual alienation they experience in their positions....as silly as that sounds lol. It's very self-indulgent! I just liked the concept of the "Outsider" POV, so to speak, being subjected to the sort of normalized violence that exists in cotl. Though, I might end up just making comics if I can't pan out this fanfic well enough!

Ao no Flag (SERIES FINALE SPOILERS!!)

Seriously, don’t read this if you are planning to read Ao no Flag. That being said, go read the manga now!!

Finally finished reading Ao no Flag and I have so many feelings. Non-coherent, rambly, messy feelings. I was looking at reactions online and what mainly boggles me about the reactions to the final 2 chapters is people being “how is Taichi suddenly gay??” My friend living on this big planet he never was (he’s bi). He most likely just realized it later in life. Did the events of his 3rd HS year help him figure it out? Heck yes. Is he suddenly bi? No.

Not all queer people pop out into this world and instantly know they are queer. Heck, it took me 23 years to figure that out. It’s not like Taichi instantly realized he likes Touma and started dating him. He knew Touma mattered to him somehow, but it took him multiple years to realize how, as evident by him maybe starting his relationship with Touma after 5 years when Touma contacted them all. He gained life experience and grew.

People go through a lot of learning, unlearning and growing. Especially if you are outside of societal expectations and norms. Taichi grew up learning to and wanting to blend in with society. “Be normal, don’t stand out too much”. Add to that low self-confidence and you feel stuck. Feel like there is only black and white. only one right answer to life. It can be very difficult to look out of this dark box, trust me, I had a tough time and sometimes still do. But it feels like Taichi thought and thought and pondered even back in high school and came to the decisions that he did.

And isn’t that what the series is about? growing as a person, making mistakes, learning, allowing yourself to be visible and vulnerable, and eventually, making choices, even if they don’t make sense to anyone else, and continuing to do so?

These two pages really hit me hard and I was wondering why. And then it hit me. This is possibly the happiest I’ve seen Taichi be since his childhood. Like genuinely happy. He’s reached max happiness points and is sharing those with Touma. He’s made his choices, and he’s happy. You can and are allowed to choose what or who makes you happy.

That’s all that matters.

I need you to realize how insane your fic makes me.

Anytime you update I’m like a feral dog chewing its favorite toy. God I love the writing. I love the characters. THE PLOT IS SO SO GOOD. I’ve had art block for a couple of years now, but I’m considering pulling myself out of it just so I can make fan art for you. I’ve reread your fic more times than I can count.
