The Warehouse 13 series finale got me crying out here folks.......... what an honestly spectacular way to end the show, I'm real verklempt about it and I'm gonna be thinking about this one for a long time :')

Things I am feeling insane about re: the new Valentina release, in no particular order:

-THE SONG, please I need it on spotify immediately so I can loop it nonstop for the near future -THE LOOK AND THE OVERALL VIBES, just in general it's gorgeous but also [gestures vaguely to my post from the other day ] I'm so awawa that this is the same person who has previously so adamantly resisted being perceived as cute or feminine or queer, we stan personal growth and self actualization! -The outfit being SHEER and BACKLESS and VINYL OPERA GLOVES ououghughg -Yuchi's $860 Dior visor and diamond earrings -Takumi's pink braids and sunglasses and keytar (and pink shoes? I think?) -Kyo please what is going on with your shoes -CHOREO!!! Backup dancers!!! Okayyyy pop diva!!! After watching the live videos with the consistent choreo on the chorus from performance to performance I was hoping that would be heavily featured in the video and I am so glad that it is -this video not having the tongue-in-cheek framing device of cheesy 80's pop aesthetics like Candis, Moan, and Mosaic Shojo....this one is just unironically a girlypop video :) -that one 360 shot at the bridge where you get the neck tattoos and then arm tattoos and then BACKLESS OUTFIT and then back around to the front with the sparkly lights in the background hELP -Kyo using the melty doll (which as previously established originates from a gallery show about coming out as queer and existing as a queer person) as a microphone, singing into their face for most of the video and then cradling and holding them close at the end -Kyo's hyperfemme draggy mannerisms that are so different from how he performs in his other bands....the hip pops, the gyrations, the "hair" tosses, the shimmies, gurl where did you learn those!!! -this being released the same week as Petit Brabancon's Batman HOW is this the same person how do I achieve that level of chameleonism? -Does Valentina the drag queen know about this absolute banger dedicated to her? -Does Kyo know who Vander Von Odd is? (not immediately relevant to this video but something that's been making me insane in general on the topic of Kyo and drag queens because I think it's hilarious that Valentina of all queens is his favorite when there's someone out there doing something so close to his Dir en Grey current looks and performance style and ethos!!!!) -the fact that even after watching the video half a dozen times I still have no idea what's going on in the B plot because I keep getting Distracted -she's so beautiful and I am very gay thank you and happy pride

Tea Party

The doll nervously clutches its hand to its chest, awawaing under its breath. For so long it had been alone, writing its words in solitude and sending them off to be read. It thought it had enjoyed it, but... perhaps it had simply been scared.

It had rejected invitations before, but this time, it had decided. A doll tea party, a big one, with dolls of all kinds from all over. Surely it wouldn't be out of place there? Surely... unless they hated it, which they probably would.

It took another deep breath, and walked in.

There were more dolls than it could count, of all shapes and sizes. Combat dolls, puppydolls, even angeldolls... talking and babbling amongst themselves, running around, drinking tea... it felt totally overwhelmed.

At first, nodoll noticed it. But then one, a porcelain doll with pretty eyes, saw it. Read the nametag stuck to its chest, its writing pseudollnym. It lit up, rushing over. "Oh my Miss, you're here!" It said brightly. "This one is glad you came, it loves your words!"

A few others took note of the enthusiasm, and soon a small crowd of dolls had gathered around it.

"This one thought it would never get a chance to meet you!" "Your words always make this one feel fuzzy..." "Come and have tea with us!"

The doll felt dizzy.

It took a step back, but the other dolls just crowded it further.

"How do you come up with your ideas?" "Do you like black tea or green tea best?" "Who's your witch?"

It's head spun. "Um... this one doesn't have a a witch, it lives on its own..."

"Oh wow!" "What an amazing doll!" "How indollpendant!"

It hid behind its hands, shrinking into a corner. This was a bad idea; it just wanted to go home. It couldn't stand this much attention.

It felt something soft poke her. It looked up, and saw a small plushie doll, frowning. "You look sad." It said. "Would you like to snuggle this one?"

It was about to shake its head, push the other doll away, when it said continued. "This one was scared at first too."

"It felt like it didn't fit in. But this is a place for all dolls. Those who don't fit in elsewhere find solace here." It smiled. "They're all just excited. This one is sure that they mean no harm."

It considered the plushie doll's words, and then pulled it into a hug.

The doll squeezed it tight, the plushie doll making a cute squeaking sound of joy. Even as it did, the doll felt a measure of comfort. It looked up, and saw the dolls around it backing off, looking apologetic. It heard a few mumbled "sorry sorry sorry sorry"'s...

It gathered what little courage it had, and stood up. "This one likes fruity tea." It said, its voice still small, but no longer trembling. "May it have some?"

A ball joined doll stepped forward with a kind smile. "This one can show you. Come with it."

The doll smiled in return. Although it was scary, perhaps it was not so bad, to be among others. Or, at least, other dolls.

It never got used to the praise of its words, though.

Okay so i did a previous matchup where i paired Gyomei and Kokushibo together so like....oops but its my universe(s) and i'll write whatever i want!

-Living with both Gyomei and Gyutaro is.......an experience. But a good one! As Gyomei is blind, he has no concept of what is attractive and Gyutaro's widdle brain kinda explodes.

-Gyutaro likes helping you when you travel around! He puts on a half assed disguise and a big ass hat and follows you around like a lost puppy but he gets so into hyping up the new moms!!!

-Cries nearly every time a child is born

-You made the mistake of both Gyomei and Gyutaro coming with you one day to work and the TEARS could fill a POOL

-Gyomei spoils Daki bc he misses caring for younger kids and she reminds him of the orphans he would take care of

what do you think about the sub vs dub for princess tutu, obviously the dub wins because it has the “I’m gonna write a letter to the president” line but other than that how do they stack up? (assuming you’ve watched both)

Oooooooooooo I’ve seen both multiple times and I have SO MANY opinions on this!

Super short answer: I usually watch Japanese. I have a strong preference for Japanese duck and mytho, I like both rue performances equally, and I prefer English dub fakir.

Slightly longer answer: I generally prefer sub, I find there are more characters and performances I enjoy. Overall I think the voice acting is higher quality (I’m sorry dub fans) and a lot of the cheesier lines don’t come across that way whereas they sound a little silly in English. Imo the English dub is more fun but the Japanese dub holds more dramatic weight

Long answer:

Oh boy I have LOTS of feelings on this where do I begin. Okokok JAPANESE DUCK I LOVE YOU!! I love her so so much. Her voice is the perfect amount of scratchy and nasally to sound like a duck. I love it! She doesn’t have a beautiful princess voice but she so truly sounds like herself, she sounds like Duck. Beyond that she sounds more natural in the role, listening to the English dub it breaks immersion a little as Duck’s actress sounds more like she’s playing a character. Also Japanese duck is just super adorable AWAWA

My friend describes English dub mytho’s voice as moist. And. Yeah. I can’t argue with that. Moist. His delievery of specific lines is funny like when he’s screaming ‘why won’t you love me’ but overall this is another case where I think the Japanese version holds more dramatic weight. Japanese mytho SOUNDS more like a fairytale prince to me, and I recognize that’s a simple matter of opinion.

The mvp of the English dub is rue I love her she has STAGE PRESENCE. No notes beautiful showstopping spectacular she carries the role so well. Same with Japanese Rue! I love her!! If I had any notes it’s that Japanese rue sounds a little more childish when talking to the raven which I like as it shows how she never really got a chance to grow up.

ENGLISH DUB FAKIR MY BUDDY MY BESTIE!! The dub is worth it just for him. What I’ll say is that in English he sounds a little younger which goes miles for the character. In Japanese he sounds older and very serious and you lose a little bit of the childishness that’s inherent to him. Also his delivery of lines is funnier I love him. Their personalities are every so slightly different and I prefer English fakir for his bitchiness. I will say Japanese fakir has a very technically talented voice actor!! He’s really really good he just doesn’t suit the character as well imo. It’s so worth it watching in Japanese though for the scene at the end where fakir is crying as he watches duck get hurt. You can HEAR the tears in his voice in Japanese and the performance there always makes me wanna cry too.

- bosco loves to, half teasing, half genuine, call jasmine a lot of pet names. angel, baby, lovely, stuff like that. and they’ll pretty much always call daya just betty

- daya will tack -sco into the end of pretty much anything. if bosco offers to make her coffee they’re barista-sco, if they’re doing the dusting they’re maid-sco, if they’re in bed at 2am trying to sleep while daya’s bugging them they’re sleepy-sco, shit like that. she’ll playfully call jasmine jazz or jazzy if she’s in a good mood, and >:( Jasmine …… if she’s grumpy with her

- jasmine, as we all know, loves to call fucking everyone Babycakes. that’s her big one, she says it all the time - and it makes bosco cackle and daya roll her eyes, so it ruins the mood just a lil bit, but they love it. outside of that, she’ll call bosco a demon when they’re being a nuisance, and both them and daya babe, generally

44: Who would dance in the kitchen making dinner? Would the other join in or watch from the doorway?

- absoLUTEly jasmine. bopping around to spunky pop songs, singing along horribly off-key (with daya loudly complaining about how bad her singing is from the other room.)

- bosco would lurk in the doorway and film her on their phone, and when jasmine notices she actually tries to throw in some of her good moves and bosco has to go baby you can’t do a backflip in our tiny apartment kitchen you will crack your head open on the tiles

- jasmine would probably eventually manage to rope in daya who is initially begrudging, but bosco whispers to jasmine to pull out the back arch that daya likes, and that changes her tune

- when it’s just daya and bosco, daya will bop the fuck out while cooking and grab bosco by the arms and drag them in to join in with her

51: What’s a non verbal way they say I love you?

- while daya and jasmine idly bicker a lot, the way daya shows her love for jasmine is by Fighting Her Corner To The Fucking Death. like if someone says shit to jasmine daya will roll up her sleeves and let them fucking have it. she’s 7 foot in heels she’s a scary bitch. she’ll fight for jasmine even though jas can very much stand up for herself, our beloved miss mouth almighty

- jasmine tends to just gravitate to her partners. so she’ll spot one of them across the room and come hurrying over, or she’ll hang off bosco’s arm, or wander around clinging to daya’s hand. she’ll rest her head on their shoulder when they’re sitting, shit like that. (but she’s obviously very vocally loving too bc she just says everything that’s on her mind always. to the point where she’ll go “i love you🥺” and bosco will teasingly drawl “yeah, i know.”)

- bosco is very much one to love nonverbally. they’re not the most feelsy person but they show a lot through physical touch, running their hands through jasmine’s hair and smiling down at her, or careening into daya and hugging her from behind. they also love to show affection through very tailored teasing - like, showing how much they’ve noticed and picked up on about their partners bc of how much they love them through making very formulated and well thought out jabs at them

Itaru: Well, I can do that much. I had a few of these to begin with. Besides, I thought I’d like to visit a VR realm together with everyone.

Sakuya: Thank you very much! I can’t wait.

Itaru: Don’t mention it.

Chikage: Well, the original person who said he wanted to go there got too obsessed with his avatar. So it took longer than expected.

Itaru: My bad… Well, without further ado. Sorry for the wait. Now that I’ve made my new avatar, let’s head out.

Tsuzuru: You said we’re going to experience communicating in a VR space, right?

CAN THEY USE CHOPSTICKS. Hikari's parents taught her how to use them at a young age. It took her a while to get the hang of how to position her fingers around the sticks due to her motor skills not being That Great. Her hand had trouble cooperating since most instructions were for ppl that were right-handed, and as a visual learner, she did NOT get it for a solid month or two.

WHAT DO THEY DO WHEN THEY CAN’T SLEEP. She usually takes a melatonin. If she's out of it, she'll light her own incense stick and allow the enzymes and oil to affect her as it would a normal human, and promptly pass the fuck out. Alternatively, if she has nothing to do the next day, she just gets up and plays some video games or watches a movie until she gets tired enough to come out.

WHAT ORDER DO THEY WASH THINGS IN THE SHOWER. She starts with lathering her hair with her homemade soaps, before working her way down and exfoliating her skin with a loofah. After she finds herself sufficiently clean, she wraps her hair in a towel briefly before soaking in a bath filled with scented oils and moisturizers. This hot water soak lasts about 30 mins to 45 minutes, before she dries off and lets her hair air-dry. She also puts on lotion within 5 minutes after exiting the shower, to trap the moisture.

WHAT’S THEIR COFFEE ORDER. Hates coffee. Will order hot chocolate or fruit drinks instead. Closest thing to coffee she will willingly ingest are chocolate covered espresso beans. She does, however, adore the smell of coffee. She'll linger in the coffee shop for a while if she's feeling up to it strictly to smell it.

HOW DO THEY ACT AROUND CHILDREN. Protective. Around a lost child, she'll be their ward until she can track down their parent, all the while making sure their needs are met. In other situations, she may offer general age appropriate life advice, and is careful not to swear. She can really only do this in short bursts, however, and thus doesn't see herself wanting to be a parent. She's a fantastic babysitter though.

WHAT WOULD THEY WATCH ON TV WHEN THEY’RE BORED AND NOTHING THEY REALLY LIKE IS ON. Either the news, or she'll put on one of the movies in her film collection, or pre-recorded shows she actually watches. Of firm belief that cable is basically a dying form of media due to the advent of internet streaming. Still keeps physical media because of that. Sometimes looks for lost media when she's bored.

2. Okay okay, hmm... Fav thing about my style... Huh, hard to describe... but the swooshiness of the soft things ? Like how exaggerated the curves and lines are ? Ah but then again this specific trait doesn't always show in my art, so other than that I'd say probably the expressiveness, in the faces, in the poses... I like that the characters show emotions I guess ! 17. What do I love getting compl- what. I'm not sure what kind of question that is, compliments don't need to be about a specific thing, please just tell me what YOU like in it haha ! 20. A piece that I'm really proud of. Well this one is from last december, so close enough ! It's the Pathetic Creature digital painting. I really liked how the hair and general textures turned out.
