I’d imagine in the much later stages; the creators grief driven into madness. Some of those who’ve hunted the creator eventually come to pity them, but make no mistake the gods of Teyvet will not see reason, and will not pity… at least not yet.

Those who pity them are the mortals who’ve seen the creator killed over and over, some have even tried to shelter them; but it only lasted so long, before they were killed in front of the creator before they too met their own demise. The trauma of seeing those they’d grown close to, those who sided with them brutally executed sent them into a spiral of madness.

gonna be so real and please be real with me, is present tense in non-fanfic written works always bad? because i cannot tell which is better here but with the tone and pacing and style my gut kiiinda says present tense? or past tense?? i'm not sure

I had already been working on something like this for a while and I'm really proud of myself for finishing this on time. I had fun the entire time I was working on this and I learned a lot.

Day 1 - The good hunter as The Fool tarot card

Decided that for this October i'd do some of the bloodborne npcs (logarius, amelia and gehrman are in this i know they're not technically npcs but bear with me) as tarot cards, so here it is :]

Wait wait imagine if during the npc sagau the characters can freely enter and exit the teapot and some stay there because some of their houses don't work/don't open unless they are needed for a quest (Mona/gaming/etc) but others stay for some days just because they can't handle to see the empty npc/lead poisoning stare of their maids/assistants (Diluc/ninnguang)

Or imagine how they distribute houses inside the teapot like yanfei and baizhu share a house only to stock legal codex and medicinal herbs, or albedo sucrose and klee living together because now spine dragon is far to cold to stand and it's easier to research that way

The self aware au is soooo good! I was wondering how the characters would react if they could just hear the player (not the vessel) gushing about how adorable and amazing their Pokemon is and their Pokemon range from cute baby Pokemon to ones like alpha Garchomp. Like, they pass by the player while the player sends out their mons and hear "AAAAAAHHH SO CUTE OMG IM GOING TO CRY" I think thatd be fun. Have a good day, stay hydrated:)

In the same way you would watch someone pet a tarantula, a komodo dragon, a black mamba or other dangerous and deadly animals; with terror, wonder and with the certainty that you are either a madman or you have the courage of the fools.

They would probably end up thinking that both possibilities are valid. And this would be true for all Pokemon, as most NPCs are terrified of Bidoofs and Starlys.

Sure, there would be exceptions, but seeing you petting a Garchomp or a Hisuian Zoroark, even those exceptions would look at you the same way. Especially if you start using the same tone that you sometimes tend to do with your cats, dogs and other pets. Everyone would look at you with newly founded terror and respect.

Mainly because, the question they would eventually ask themselves: if you find even the most terrifying Pokemon in Hisui cute and cuddly, what kind of scary monsters are there where you exist?

I think that they definitely improved the Duty Support NPCs' abilities to heal in Dawntrail. At first I was wondering if I'd improved at Paladin, but there were several times I was doing a wall to wall where I'd fumble mitigation or take more damage than I should've and Alphinaud managed to save me, whereas in previous Duty Support dungeons one mistake was usually the end for me. In previous dungeons there were some segments where I couldn't pull two packs unless I had my invulnerability skill available, or was on Warrior, where I'm running into far fewer of those places in Dawntrail dungeons. I only really struggled with the level 91 dungeon, and even then I think it was a combination of being rusty with that job, less experience with that dungeon in particular, and my gear being weaker than was probably wise. The only place outside of there where I died outside of a boss fight was

Combined with how more talkative the NPCs are in and out of boss fights, I'm very happy with how Duty Support is improving and am looking forward to see how the people in charge of it improve the system in the future.

i once had an anti tell me to stop sexualizing their trauma on a story i wrote that was a word for word retelling of my own actual trauma but with names changed and its been 2 years and i still cant stop thinking about that

Ah, yeah... Unfortunately a non-insignificant number of antishippers seem to genuinely believe they own the concept of trauma, so any story they read that they believe to be portrayed in a romanticized or sexualized light therefore must be romanticizing/sexualizing their trauma specifically.

I couldn't tell you the amount of times I've gotten the "stop sexualizing my trauma!!!!!!" or adjacent comments from antishippers that universally garner a response that basically boils down to

"ai is terrible and you should never use it" me when I forget that ai has been around forever and has been used for various disability features and generative ai can be good but is just heavily misused by abled people and stuff like AI voices and GenAI has been used to help disabled people with prosthetics (GenAI) and speaking (AI voices) and also AI is the core of almost every NPC in every game. Just thought I'd add that bit.

Literally no one is saying "all NPD people are abusive", but those who aren't wouldn't be going out of their way looking up certain tags on tumblr just to finger wag and play victim on strangers' tumblr posts.
