Heeeres Suki! The Kyoshi Warriors are half kitsune. They were originally fire nation, but were non benders, so their dragon half couldn’t produce fire. Essentially, they were more like fire proof lizards (as many Fire Nation citizens who can’t bend are outcasted, being called lizards as an insult, and nonbenders have the ability to be fireproof somewhat). By moving away from the fire nation, and performing a ritual, they channeled their Fire Nation roots into something different, but the same. Hence, the Kitsune were born! So now anyone who wants to join the Kyoshis can perform this ritual to become a kitsune. They can produce fire, but cannot control it, and it only appears when strong emotions are expressed, like Suki’s anger and surprise here! You can also see her tail starting to light up, too!

most insane part about live action atla is sokkas relationships and how they are based on tension and not growth. his scenes with suki were about her longing for a “normal life” and the scenes where they pinned eachother down….the bell line it’s all bait for tension
