I haven been in a creative slump lately, mainly because I've been playing Dead Space and I'm going to my cousin's wedding this weekend so I've been busy getting ready for that.

I do! Not a ton because my brain has been goop lately but I do have some.

Hammerlock and Wainwright's favorite television genre? Baking shows.

It depends on the day if it's Wainwright or Hammerlock that has the most criticism of the baker's work

"Alistair, do you *see* that?! I could make a better butterscotch cake with a bullet in my gut and my hands tied behind my back."

"Winny, we're watching the kid's baking championship. That baker is nine years old."

Gaige will sometimes watch with them and she finds their commentary hilarious

Wainwright and Hammerlock both give off that vibe that they'd sleep in those old pajamas with the long stocking caps. I can't decide which would be funnier but I'm leaning towards Wainwright.

Wainwright loves spice. Can he handle it? Not always. But he loves spice. He and Moze often make food as spicy as humanly possible (they then get scolded by Hammerlock for wasting food when they can only eat a few bites)

I do feel like they'd have a very cute relationship with Ava. It's canon that she loved hearing Maya's stories so I can imagine Hammerlock reciting stories of his own grandeur to Ava.

Wainwright teaches her how to use a shotgun more effectively.

Wainwright also has those caramel candies that grandpas always give out. Those who know what I mean can remind me of their name.

I hope this was good! I really love Wainlock as a ship but I had to let the ideas come to me more naturally so they weren't forced. I think everyone needs more Wainlock in their life tbh. (Excited for the wedding DLC...)

KHOC WEEK 2024 Day 2 - Past

the things for my OCs are now the only ones I do, so, off with the annual @khoc-week appointment.😂

The protagonist of this post should have been Aspis, my little Anguis kid, but since Aspis is deeply connected to another character, it's probably better that I start with some headcanons I have about the Foretellers. Between those and the designs, at this point they feel a bit like OCs too. even tried to do a Nomura-esque version for the occasion.

The assumption is that the Foretellers were one of the many attempts on the chessboard of the Master of Masters to face the Darkness. He gathered under his protection a group of lonely and desperate kids, with a tormented past, acting in the grey area more than out of affection. He bet on them. He sought out children who possessed specific flaws of distinct deadly sins, trained them, and made them his apprentices on a journey designed to make them overcome their "sin" and use it as a virtue that will be essential to their future "roles." For example…

Gula, who lived on the streets as a feral child, has known hunger, and food is also how MoM attracted him. Gula suffered from bulimia and nervous hunger for years, before managing to direct his anxiety towards logic and study, becoming an analytical boy "hungry" for knowledge.

Ava, sold away by her once rich family fell in disgrace, wanted EVERYTHING back. everything she had lost, or that she wanted but could no longer afford. Mom was the one who has bought her, she's too young to understand the extent of the family tragedy. that's why she later was the perfect one for the task of choosing any wielder she desires or attracts her eye, without limits, collecting the Dandelion.

Aced has always used his muscles to win easily, alone, without effort and without ever really try to improving himself, until carelessness cost him his tribe and an eye… he is now a loyal follower and uses his strength to defend the group, the arm of the law under Ira.

Ira, balances strength in combat and intelligence, which are also the qualities of his union. stubborn and rebellious, as an angry teenager he ran away from home, losing his path. He was the first one found by Mom, and he owes him his life. He learned to control his anger because of him, obtaining determination, willpower and the courage that made him choose as Leader.

Luxu carried the burden of being an unwanted child, the result of an affair, from an early age he felt cursed by that because of a big birthmark on one eye that vaguely resembles an X. shy, insecure and reserved, people pleaser, until life with his apprentice companions brought out his mischievous and creative personality. His being a people pleaser made him incredibly attentive to the behavior of the people around him and the ideal candidate to infiltrate among people and live their lives, one after the other.

Finally, Invi.

like all the other foretellers, her name is more of a title. Her real name is Nivea, and she was isolated from her village because white hair was considered a bad omen. The resentment of having to survive alone, with a little brother to support, he too with lighter hair than was welcome, soon turned into Envy, gnawing at her insides every time Nivea stopped to observe the normality of other families, lurking and hating everyone but her brother Aspis.

MoM saved both, proposing a deal to Nivea: he would take care of them, they would have a roof over their heads, education, a future, as long as she studied under him.

With no other real choice, the children accept out of desperation.

Nivea and Aspis initially lived together, but as they grow older she is forced to uphold her end of the bargain, spending more and more time at the clocktower. Aspis and Nivea's relationship is ruined irreparably, as Invi begins to enjoy her studies and the company of her peers, spending less and less time with her brother "for a higher purpose".

On the other hand, Aspis, who has always remained silent about a subtle hostility from the inhabitants of Daybreak Town due to his bad temper and sharp tongue, is left almost alone. His only wish was not to be a burden to his sister, who therefore always believed everything was fine and let him go without regrets. Aspis is full of resentment towards Mom, blaming him for brainwashing his sister, now obsessed by Light and darkness, when she clearly only wanted a better life for them.

Aspis and Invi do not hate each other, but the lack of communication makes it difficult to make peace, they will miss their chance before the War.

Aspis eventually made some friends along the way, that made his loneliness bearable. he is in a sort of trio with Lupe and Leonna, and a little girl who for some reason adores him like a big brother, Velcia (she's @alchemist-of-thebes 's oc). he'll never admit it, but he would die for her.😂

Thinking about the ideas ive had so far for a Borderlands The Owl House au (blands characters in TOH. Not necessarily as certain characters. Just as them)

Putting this for TOH spoilers in case cause i have friends who havent watched TOH. I havent even fully watched it myself, I do know all the spoilers and a good amount of lore

- Sanctuary as a big refuge for wild witches and folks on the run. Claptrap is it’s house demon

- Angel as a escaped basilisk hiding in the BI as her canon look. Attends hexside where she met Gaige, the abomination tech wizz of the school. The latter who was kicked from Glandus high for creating abomination Deathtrap.

- Tina as a potion track student with a knack for creating explosive concotions

- Maya as a Grimwalker of Dido, a once powerful witch who was the pride of the order of the impending storm, a highly influential group (who really just wants to take down Belos to take his place). Dido saw trough their lies, however. She attempted to take them down but unfortunately failed. After her death, in an attempt to have a witch as powerful as Dido, the order attempted to replace her, hence Maya came to be. She saw trough their lies as well, but she succeeded at taking them down and is currently on the run. Practices wild magic. Also found both Angel and Ava and took them to sanctuary where they now live (PSYREN FAMBLY REAL)

- Lilith as a powerful wild witch with a knack for setting things on fire (just like Eda fr. This similarity might have got me thinking about the idea of « firehawk curse » lilith and the thought of her having a coolass harpy form aswell…)

- Ava as a young human who fled to the BI. Aspiring wild witch, read about glyphs in one of Maya’s books (that she stole. Obvi). Attends Hexside aswell

Finished BL3...

Though there are MANY things I dislike about the story as a whole... I don't entirely hate the way they took it. I still think the Calypso twins and Typhon were wasted potential (things could have been a lot better written), and I also think that Ava was a victim of really poor writing as a whole (y'all know my opinions on that already), and my issues with Aurelia and Maya, but God damn did I like it more than I remembered.

Also the fucking ending credits got me. Tannis looking for Lilith (obvious hint to BL4 plot), Ava taking after Maya, Vaughn and Rhys, the CHILDREN OF THE FIREHAWK (hoping this doesn't become canon or anything I just think it's funny and a nice nod to the BL2 quest)

I have a lot of thoughts right now and not a whole lot of ways to coherently convey them.

Also thought the little bit of Tyreen's VA singing a jazz rendition of claptrap's "stealth time" dialogue was hilarious and adorable

day i-lost-count of thinking about the signatures on Maurice's cast (the one he gets when you turn on Cartels event)

Moxxi kissing it. Rare Tannis social interaction moment. Ava's signature being extremely sick for no reason at all. Claptrap drawing himself. Fairly solid proof of Hammerlock hyphenating his husband's last name onto his own. Two other unidentifiable signatures (maybe one is from Ellie? Definitely can't be Marcus since he hates Maurice).

Adina story part 1? More likely than you think.

This takes place back when Adina and Sarai were both Apprentices and when Ava accidentally killed a Hellborn during her first Extermination. What Adina offers is basically for Ava to become her bodyguard for a few months to essentially “prove herself” worthy of rejoining the Exorcists.

Sarai has never liked Adina, and pretty much only hung around her since they were in the same cohort and Adina was the only one who showed “kindness” (more like backhanded comments) to her. Her eyelashes and eyebrows are black here because she dyed them to look more like her, but she’ll never admit that.

Maya smiled when she materialized on Sanctuary 3, able to pick out the familiar aura of the one person in this crazy universe that ran in step with the siren like no other. He's on the bridge, a surprisingly silent shadow perched on top of one of the consoles across from the cast windows, singular visible eye scanning the room while waiting for something. Ava nearly jumps when the impressively tall psycho moves just after she and Maya enter the bridge, eyes wide when her mentor is swept into a gentle hug.

"Hey big guy!"

"Sapphire starlight has joined the circus!" The psycho gently touches Maya's blue hair, tilting his head at the long locks. "She has rivers now."

"It's been a long time since I've had long hair, glad you like it." The taller man chuckles, and let's her hair fall completely from his hand. "I like the new mask."

"The blood sings louder, makes the meat bicycle shiny!" The psycho laughed, finally turning to face Ava with his head tilted, the teen nervously backing away. "Little rakk?"

"Ava, meet Krieg. Krieg, this is my apprentice Ava." The psycho, Krieg she corrects in her mind, stares at Ava for an intense few moments before reaching over and patting the top of her head. Lilith decided at that point to intervene and get into business, happy to see two of her closest friends reunited as they spoke about where to look next on Promethea. Ava scurried off halfway through to look around the ship and unpack, and after coordinates had been placed in the nav system, Krieg led Maya to Moxxi's, the bartender already waiting for them with drinks.

"Good to see you sugar." She winked at Maya, who tipped her head before tugging Krieg to a back booth, passing the small group of new vault hunters.

"They're a solid bunch, I like 'em." Krieg grunted in approval as they got seated, the siren leaning into his side while Krieg settled an arm around her. It was a routine they'd done dozens of times after they had both met long ago, Maya glancing up when Krieg unclasped his mask a little to sip his drink, chest rumbling in delight at the taste.

"They slaughter like bloody beasts, my buzzaxe sings and wants to dance." He chuckled after adjusting his mask, setting his glass on the table. "Popeye sings like the soldier, children run through with cables and sparks! Sapphire will like him, and the tiger who rips open the ribcages of the damned."

"Can't be a proper group without a siren right?" Maya grinned, the two sharing a laugh as they listened to the various noises of the ship and its inhabitants. "I missed you, every day."

"The skag screams at the moon, every day a razor slicing open to drip ruby, not Sapphire." Krieg sighed, feeling one of her hands rest in his and giving a small squeeze. "No more?"

"No, I'm not going anywhere this time." Krieg squeezes her hand back, moving so his eye could meet hers. The psycho had wondered if she had missed him as much as he did her, the annoying voice even silent as they both gaze upon the woman they'll break the universe for smile up at them brighter than the sun.

Krieg won't fail his Sapphire Starlight again, gently pressing his forehead against hers in a silent show of relief and content.

So, a siren and a psycho sit in a booth in a bar, and for the first time in seven years, smile.

If the lifeboat is able to crossover between "reality" and "unreality" (implied by apprentice Xehanort in KHMoM)

and the Foretellers may have been in unreality all this time (Ira "did you summon us back?", Yen Sid saying "ancient keyblade masters crossed over into another world" in KHMoM)

maybe Luxu put Ava, as the true dandelion, into the lifeboat hoping she would unite with the other foretellers. That way, when he summoned them all in Kh3's epilogue, she'd be included. But if she didn't make it to the Foretellers following the True Dandelion scene after all, and instead landed sometime/somewhere else, maybe that's why Luxu said "I guess Ava didn't make it after all..."
