the only good thing about pharmacy school is the fact that I only need an internet connection and I can self-medicate for anything

Question for 043:
How do you deal with a stubborn agent who refuses to get medical attention, saying that it is a "waste of agency resources for such a little thing"?
For Dr. Greaves:
How do you talk to an agent who has the "I don't want to be a bother. Maybe this isn't as serious as I think so I'll try to deal with it myself first" attitude towards medical attention?
...
[They look a little awkward.]
Usually I just frog-march 'em down to the medical wing and let Greaves handle it. But if that's not an option, I show 'em this.
[They tap a small scar on the side of their neck.]
I thought this was "just a little thing" until Greaves told me I would bleed out of I didn't get treated. Little things can get real big, real fast. That usually convinces them.
[Cut to Greaves.]
...I tell them that it's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Automedical can go very wrong if you don't know what you're doing. It's better to let an actual professional handle it. That's why we're here.
I only let 043 do it themself because they know what they're doing. And even they come in when it's necessary. We have posters around, lemme find one.
[Greaves moves out of frame, and reappears with a poster that says, "Agent Phoenix says: Don't be an idiot! Go to medical when you need it!"]
Actual quote from them too. There's others, too- I think there's one somewhere that says "GET YOUR INJURIES LOOKED AT BY MEDICAL, DIPSHIT. -Phoenix". That's my favourite.

more info on the monster - i started drinking it because a fictional character i like drinks it, its definitely 90% of the reason my sleep schedule's fuck up, and also its the string holding my grades together. one can of monster does nothing to my sleep schedule, two transports me to the devil, three keeps me awake for at least 30 hours, four is only during exams. which ended yesterday and start again in nine days please send help (- @mimishinu )
Damn. That sucks
Is it to automedicate ADHD/narcolepsy/something or just to compensate the sleep schedule the Monster took away from you?
(Sucks that tumblr still doesn't allows questions from sideblogs)

one of my hcs is that Wilson isolates n overworks himself a lot! 😺 n he probably uses his knowledge to make drugs n "automedicate" (he just gets high on his stuff) he thinks it'll help him, it only makes it worse.
I LOVE THIS HC!!!! you’re so real for this one…wilson using his science knowledge for the wrong intentions is sooo ugh❤️❤️ i can see him desperately doing anything he can to get the ingredients he needs to make them 😼 i wonder how he copes with this in the constant if he can’t make them 😨😨

I hate when I automedicate and it works. Cause that means the only thing keeping me from functioning like a neurotypical would is a dx, that I can’t get because I would be unable to work in my field because my state is ableist.

This is AutoMedically Classified footage that I was lucky enough to get my hands on during a radiology rotation during my practicum. I spent COUNTLESS hours hacking into the hospital mainframe in order to get this footage out to the world, after spending HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS on attending top universities to be accepted into Johns Hopkins JUST for this moment. And you denigrate my achievements? My sacrifices? My LIFE’S WORK? Just to lie to the public about it being from some stupid indie movie nobody’s ever heard of? What the hell is wrong with this generation.

This is someone dying while having an MRI scan. Before you die, your brain releases tons and tons of endorphins that make you feel a range of emotions. Tragically beautiful.

Anyways this is (not) funny but the rare chronic illness I have makes me potentially have life threatening allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) to certain things specially medication, in theory like 75% of it, this includes anti-inflammatories, analgesics, antibiotics, and my long feared bestie anesthesia. Ever since I was little I've been going up and down hospitals trying to get a clue of what can I 100% take without fearing a possible anaphylaxis? The answer is yet 😹 unknown.
Not too long ago I was finally booked to talk with an allergy doctor! To hopefully plan a date where they could monitor me and make me all the tests to know what my body can and can't tolerate. You'd imagine my face when after 18 years of anxiety waiting for it when the doctor told me they're not gonna run the tests on me! Because it wasn't critical enough and overall unnecessary in her own words.
So anyways, there's no moral of the story just that healthcare is such a bitch for rare and not so rare conditions and I'm done with it 😽😽😽 not to mention most "professionals" are not even educated on that sort of thing. If I had a penny for everytime a doctor has asked me what's mastocytosis I might have been able to fund more money for the investigation of it than there's already lol.

the amount of serotonin I get from buying plants and managing to keep them alive is absolutely unreal, I’m convinced that I’m only still alive because I own 27 of these funky little green things and would never dare disappoint them

Having Whisperrain or Purestream makes Annihilation 5 a whole lot easier, since you don’t have to micromanage the icy bois as hard so the weebs can’t just do a zandatsu on your units. Also Ifrit for some bbq action.

heads up ; if you hear MIRRORBALL by TAYLOR SWIFT blaring, it’s most likely VALERIE RIGBY making their way down the shore ! they’re 33 years old and celebrate their birthday on 01/19  - i knew they were a CAPRICORN ! especially since they’re very METICULOUS and DOMINEERING. they are from CAPE MAY, staying in WEST CAPE MAY and are currently working as an OWNER OF ALMOST HEAVEN INN, here at the cape. they always did remind me of the smell of freshly pressed french coffee, color-coded binders, picnics at midnight while star-gazing.
name: valerie ann rigby
age: thirty-three
gender identity: cis woman
pronouns: she/her
sexual orientation: pansexual
occupation: owner of almost heaven inn
HEADCANONS —  trigger warnings: illness, addiction, family separation.
valerie was born in a very eventful day on january 19th, 1989 in cape may. that day, due to some error, a couple baby names were switched. the nurses quickly fixed the problem and brought the babies to their respective families; no one ever mentioned the incident again.
valerie had a pretty normal upbringing (as normal as 4 children in one house can get); she was an overachiever from day one. taking up as many extra curricular as she could, with the eternal thirst of knowledge rooted deep in her stomach and the warmth of a true caretaker from birth.
she was always top of her class, head-cheerleader, prom queen... whatever coming of age movies show you the “high school dream” is, that was val
during summers/free time, she used to work @ almost heaven inn since she was a teenager, she grew up to love it so much that she decided to study tourism and hospital management (the only four years she spent outside of cape may)
upon graduation, she returned home due to missing her family and the town she always saw as her home. worked in the inn as a manager for a while, even got married and had a child (or two?)
in 2017, the original owners of almost heaven inn decided to sell off the inn to start a retirement plan. valerie and her best friend then did everything they could to gather the money and bought off the inn to fulfil their everlasting dream of owning a business together.
recently, a few symptoms began to worry her and her spouse and after a dreaded visit to the doctors, valerie received the news that she had a rare blood condition (myelodysplastic syndrome) and needed immediate blood transfusions to start with her treatment. her family of course tried to donate their blood but none of them were possible matches.
valerie, upon closing examination and pondering why no one in her immediate family was a match, decided to run some tests. after a long, long week the results were in: her parents weren’t really her parents. it shattered her entire world.
since finding the news, val has been trying to find more information on what happened, how she ended up with the rigby’s, dealing with the ache of her life shattering beneath her, her illness, her family, and telling the rest of the rigby’s the news.
may be trying to automedicate with various prescription drugs, illegally.
