Autigenderflux: ascribing fluctuating intensity in one's autigender identity; being fluid between completely autigender, partially autigender (demiautigender), and not autigender.

This doesn't mean the person sometimes is not autistic, it means that the autistic folk sometimes have their gender interlinked or interconnected with their autism, other times not or partly.

In my experience, my neurogenders are fluid between bipolargender, autigender, and schizogender (plus psychogender). Sometimes I'm not neurogender either (meaning I'm neurogenderflux as well).

A Brief Intro

Hi, I’m Batty!  I’m old.  I’m genderqueer.  I prefer They/Them pronouns, but I’m not that fussy about it.   I’m autistic - self-diagnosed because this is the first time it 10+ years that I’ve actually had any kind of health insurance, and I have other health issues that are of higher priority than getting a diagnosis.  Plus the whole process just seems terribly stressful.

I work at a grocery store, in the bakery, and I find it extremely difficult, but I need the money, so I muddle through as best I can.  It devours most of my energy, so I am only around here sporadically.

My hobbies include reading, writing, attempting to art, roleplaying, making stuff, and collecting things.   If there’s anything else you’d like to know, feel free to ask!

Yes. Many autistic people feel that being autistic affects their relationship to gender. Personally, I have a hard time sorting out gender in relation to myself and I think it has a lot to do with my neurodivergencies including autism. There is actually a gender identity, autgender or autigender, for those who feel that their understanding of gender is inextricably linked to being autistic. There is also the identity gendervague, which is how I identify, for those who feel their understanding of gender is affected by neurodivergence.

Regardless, it is pretty common for autistic people to feel that they’re not really anything when it comes to gender.

we used to ask ppl "thoughts on autgender" and "thoughts on neopronouns" and then like

someone posted a thread about like

when other ppl see that, they think about how we're assholes for wanting ppl's opinions on autgender/neopronouns etc and whatnot

meanwhile we're autgender and we use neopronouns and it's a way for us to test the waters and figure out whether we should tell someone about it 😅

so that's how we learned not to phrase it like that, we guess

still gonna ask "thoughts on food" when we wanna talk to ppl about food tho :p

its vital to note i dont blame the autismgender/autgender/autigender community or label for this (i actually do id with autgender bc now that im older i have a better understanding of how various parts of my identity and brain intersect to produce my opinions on things), i do not want my experience used to harrass ppl or paint all autistic trans ppl or ppl who id with autgender/autigender/autismgender as unreasonable harrassers (bc for one you would be wrong, for two it would be a bad point bc you'd be counting me in with that)

remembering when i was like 15 and had no clue autismgender was a thing and made a vague meme venting about the fact my therapist tried to say i wasn’t really trans bc im autistic and autistic people have weird relationships with gender so it can’t be counted as *real* transness (it was literally just “when the therapist says something about autism and gender” and then the x-y no correlation graph) and then a bunch of 27 year olds misinterpreted it and reamed me out for being transphobic and ableist and a huge blog reblogged that version of the post and it got hundreds of notes from grown adults and teenagers alike convinced i was a transphobic ableist who needed to get the shit kicked out of me when i was an autistic kid venting about transphobia and then i had to explain myself to the huge blog who deleted their reblog but it was too late bc i was already being harassed. anyways i’m sure that has nothing to do with the panic attack i had the other day after being minorly misunderstood in a discord server or the way i over-explain myself all the time
