If you're in Australia and Jewish, please be aware that in Victoria, Melbourne a synagogue was firebombed with worshippers inside this morning.

Thankfully no one was killed however this is a horrific attack that could lead to copycats and or an escalation of hate crimes against Jewish Australians. I am in no way qualified to talk on how to handle such an event as a non-Jewish person. I cannot begin to think of the many Jewish Australians who are now fearful of their life in public, in their place of worship and in their home. I can only provide you some resources that may help ease you.

Here are some helplines that are catered to Jewish people and for anyone else impacted by the attack to call or use;

Edit: I'm turning reblogs off since some of you guys don't understand that I can want both Palestinian and Israeli/Jewish people to be free of harm and death. I do not believe that either group needs to perish in order for the other to flourish. The fact that some of you equate me wanting Jewish people in my country to be aware of what has happened and providing helplines to now being anti-palestinian or that because I want palestinians to be free that I am a antisemitic is very telling on the type of person that you are. I want a world where everyone can be happy, safe and healthy - as naive as that makes me sound, I'd rather be naive. That's it. That's all.

Recaro Mystere, 1977. The seat-maker's Australian subsidiary had ambitions to go into car making and built this prototype coupé based on a Holden Torana LX Hatchback redesigned by Peter Arcardipane. It used Holden's 5.0 litre V8 with the interior made-over using Recaro seats. It was presented at the Sydney Motor Show with plans for a limited production run but remained a one-off as Recaro's management changed and Holden stopped making V8 Toranas.

The Chrysler Valiant Charger was a two-door hardtop coupe introduced by Chrysler Australia in 1971. It was a short wheelbase version of the concurrent Australian Chrysler Valiant sedan. Introduced within the VH Valiant series, it continued as a variant through the subsequent VJ, VK and CL series, until production ceased in 1978. It was marketed and badged as the Valiant Charger in the VH and VJ series and as the Chrysler Charger in the later VK and CL series.

what cars i believe the batfamily drives. my only qualifications are that i work in an auto parts retailer. this is purely based off vibes realistically they probably all drive teslas.

dick drives an early 2000s toyota corolla that he loves to death. he refuses to get a new car until this one dies. (which will be never because it’s a toyota)

jason in my head doesn’t have a car license but if he did drive a car it would be a toyota hilux or ford raptor ranger.

tim drives a newish hyundai i30 or a mazda2. idk why but in my head he drives a cute little hatchback.

cass definitely drives a slick black sedan. maybe a lexus or a mazda6.

steph drives a sedan honda civic because i’ve never met a civic owner that wasn’t girly pop or a upper class asian man.

duke either drives a kia rio OR a mitsubishi lancer OR an older model RAV4.

damian when he gets his first car it’s gonna be a mercedes or a bmw. probably a hatchback or sedan. i’m not sure of model tho.

bruce drives a either a audi, lexus or mercedes. maybe he has one of each. they’re probably all sedans and then he owns like one SUV.
