Officers gave us the go ahead to look into a bunker we thought to of been destroyed after losing communications with it. Although the entrance was originally caved in, we were able to clear the rubble and are heading inside.

“Contrast Shown At Murder Trial,” Montreal Star. October 24, 1932. Page 3. ---- Victim's Father Sits Beside Wife of Accused in Smith Case ---- The father of the dead boy and the wife of the man charged with the killing sat side by side this morning in the King's Bench at the opening of Stanley Smith's trial for the murder of Bernard Delisle, fatally stabbed during a brawl at the Smith home on August 27. Mr.   Delisle wore a black band— the sign of mourning —on his left sleeve while Mrs. Smith was clothed in vivid scarlet.
Although present during the fatal quarrel, Frank Archer. 1248 Bronsdon lane, was unable to swear that he actually saw Smith stab Delisle under cross-examination, however, he acknowledged that he saw something in Smith's hand that could have been a knife just after Delisle had fried out that he had been stabbed.
QUARREL STARTED In giving his version of the affair, Archer explained that he met Delisle on Dorchester street at 11 o'clock in the night at August 27 and the two of them went to Smith's apartment at 1233 Benoit street to gel beer. They had just arrived when Delisle and a man by the name of Paul Purcell started quarreling. Witness tried to separate them. While he was struggling he heard Delisle cry out that he had been stabbed. He looked around and saw Smith and Purcell wrestling on the floor. It was then that he saw something in Smith's hand. It might have been a knife he stated.
TWO KNIFE WOUNDS Other witnesses heard were Dr. J. M. Roussel, medico-legal expert who testified that the death had been due to acute peritonitis and hemorrhages caused by two knife wounds in the abdomen: Dr. Burnett Johnston night superintendent of the General Hospital who stated that Delisle was brought into the hospital on the night of August 27 and died three day later; Phillip Delisle, father of the young man who had officially identified the body; Talbot Gouin, architect, who produced plans of the Smith dwelling; and Eugene Laflamme, chief of the police identification bureau.
Chief Justlce Greenshield is presiding. Gerald Fauteux is acting for the Crown while Smith is represented by J. M. Loranger, K.C.

Evan Solomon exits CTV's 'Power Play' for publishing role at digital media company
Tumblr media
Solomon announced on Twitter that he has been hired as publisher at online political news outlet Gzero Media and will be based in New York. CTV's owner, Bell Media, said Solomon will continue to "report regularly" on Canadian politics and global affairs as a special correspondent for the network. Bell Media will announce a new host for "Power Play" and "Question Period" in the coming weeks. Solomon's departure is the latest change in the ranks at CTV News, which saw lead anchor Lisa LaFlamme ousted from her role on the nightly national newscast in August, which the broadcaster described as a decision made on "changing viewer habits." LaFlamme's exit was met with widespread criticism, which led CTV News head Michael Melling to take a leave of absence. The broadcaster said a week after the controversy that it "regrets" how the situation was handled, pledging to launch a workplace review conducted by an independent party. Solomon built his name as the host of CBC's "Power & Politics" show before he parted ways with the network in 2015 over actions they deemed "inconsistent" with their code of ethics. A Toronto Star report published at the time alleged he had used his contacts to broker lucrative art deals and collect huge fees. Solomon later said, through his lawyer, that he never intentionally used his position at CBC to promote a private business partnership he was involved in. He said he disclosed the business to CBC the same year the story went public. In early 2016, Solomon joined Bell Media's radio operations as a host on 580 News Talk Radio's program Ottawa Now and, several months later, stepped into the hosting role on "Question Period." He became the host of "Power Play" in January 2020. Gzero Media is owned by political risk research and consulting firm Eurasia Group, which was founded by political scientist Ian Bremmer. The media company takes its name from a term Bremmer helped popularize, which refers to a shakeup in global leadership that includes the weakening of collective powers such as the Group of Seven (G7) and Group of 20 (G20).

The description on Techno’s SFA courage award
[Image ID: a screenshot of the description of Technoblade’s Sarcoma Foundation of American’s Courage award. There is a photo of his Youtube profile picture. The description reads:
“Technoblade, real name: Alexander, was an American YouTuber and internet personality known for his YouTube channel, Technoblade, a Minecraft persona in the guise of a pig that he started at 14 years old. He is widely regarded by the game’s community as one of the best Minecraft players and Minecraft content creators. In the beginning, he plugged away at making videos, attracting a small but steadily growing group of followers with a goal of accumulating 10 million subscribers, an achievement reached by very few*. In July 2021 at the age of 22, after noticing pain in his right arm and a sudden lump, he was diagnosed with sarcoma and chest scans revealed metastasis to both lungs.  Alex endured chemotherapy and radiation treatments, an embolization procedure tumor, and also participated in a clinical trial for the treatment, Milademetan. Throughout his sarcoma journey, he decided to use his significant platform to help support sarcoma research, even if it most likely would not gain results in time for him. His first effort for SFA was “Minecraft But Viewers Control The Game (Charity Event).” Still weak from chemotherapy, he played for almost four hours, raising over $360,000. Throughout his treatment, he continued to do more for research, and made February 2022 his own Sarcoma Awareness Month, raising an additional $150,000.  In total, Technoblade rallied his followers to raise over $1 million for sarcoma research. Unfortunately, tests revealed that his sarcoma had continued to grow and the masses in his lungs had begun pressing against his heart.  He died in June of 2022, shortly after his 23rd birthday, at home, surrounded by his family. The public reaction to the announcement of his death was overwhelming. And rather than focus on what an amazing gamer he was, or how smart or how funny he was, instead people talked about his kindness and his generosity. People spoke about how much his videos helped them through a difficult time in their lives. Other well-known YouTubers such as Dream, expressed their admiration for him. Simon Collins-Laflamme, the co-founder of Hypixel, and business magnate Elon Musk expressed similar feelings. YouTube posted its condolences to his family, friends, and fans and Technoblade was described as “one of Minecraft’s most celebrated personalities.” Mojang Studios, the creators of Minecraft said that Technoblade “became synonymous with a source of good.” Even now, people are still quoting his oft-repeated catchphrases, including, “Technoblade never dies.”
*In June 2022, Technoblade’s channel had reached 10.8 million subscribers and in August 2022, it posthumously reached fifteen million subscribers.”.

A series of screenshots showing the listing for this year’s Courage Award from the Sarcoma Foundation of America. It reads:
“Courage Award honorees illustrate, through their personal efforts and actions, sarcoma advocacy. These individuals are patients, survivors, caregivers, and advocates who inspire others by using their platform on behalf of sarcoma patients and survivors to create hope and a better life for the sarcoma community. Many do not think they have done something special but who have inspired others and are making a difference for sarcoma patients and their families. The Courage Award honors patients who have demonstrated strength and perseverance in their sarcoma diagnosis.

One of the longest stuff I've been working on this year! I made the music arrangement of the School Music Box OST originally in May-June, then worked on the animatic in July-August. By far, the most frustrating to compose, and the most tiring to animate (this is my first animatic ;w;)
If you can notice, I also used the soundtracks Now My Son (from the first game), Stretched School Music Box, and a little bit of Lynn's theme near the end.
I'd like to thank my friends at the discord server for supporting and inspiring me throughout. I would've probably abandoned it if I didn't see their inspiring art.
All rights to Red Barrels and Samuel Laflamme for the wonderful game Outlast 2 and its absolutely amazing soundtrack.

grateful dead-family dog at the great highway, san francisco, california, august 3, 1969
here's a very unusual gig worth checking out from chet helms'short-lived rock dance commune. part of what makes this night atypical, is the addition of a few jazz players: violinist david laflamme and saxophonist/flutist charles lloyd, who bring a distinct vibe to the mix. the intro stuff is solid (including a rare high-heeled sneakers with garcia and mckernan singing alternate verses), but it’s the final 70 minutes that makes this performance so special. both the dark star—with lloyd’s sax work and laflamme’s improvisational touches—and the set-ending alligator > other one > caution > we bid you goodnight is, without a doubt, some of the most interesting 1969 grateful dead you'll ever lay your ears on. recorded by bear, and digitally transferred by charlie miller, this night at the family dog is one i'm happy to queue up at any moment's notice.

Feds resuming Parliament with COVID-19 focused throne speech
How Prime Minister Justin Trudeau plans to steer his Liberal government through the next phase of the COVID-19 pandemic is expected to be laid out in Wednesday’s throne speech, along with new details of his minority government’s economic and social support and recovery plans in the face of an anticipated second wave.
Watch CTV News at 1:30 p.m. EDT for special coverage of the throne speech. Follow along on CTV, CTV News Channel, CTVNews.ca, and the CTV News app.
Watch a CTV News Special Report with CTV News Chief Anchor and Senior Editor Lisa LaFlamme at 6:30 p.m. on Trudeau’s address to Canadians.
The speech, delivered by Gov. Gen. Julie Payette in the Senate Chamber, is expected to begin shortly after 2:30 p.m. EDT following a ceremony pared-down due to the ongoing pandemic. The speech’s contents — closely guarded by the Prime Minister’s Office — will likely frame how the new session of Parliament unfolds, with different priorities than those spelled out in the Liberal’s 2019 speech before COVID-19 changed the country and forced the government back to the drawing board on its vision for the future and plan to get there.
Scroll down or click here for our live blog of the throne speech starting at 1:30 p.m.

The Liberals are expected to outline new commitments to health-care spending that specifically address issues such as challenges at long-term care homes, address ways to rework the current emergency benefit and employment programs, and pursue new efforts such as investing in a national childcare plan with the provinces and prioritizing green recovery initiatives.
Later, Trudeau will deliver a rare address to the nation at 6:30 p.m. from his West Block office, where he’s expected to personally pitch the plan to Canadians and speak to the state of the growing outbreak in many parts of the country. This evening address will be different than the more than 80 morning addresses to the nation that the prime minister held between mid-March and late June, where day after day he unveiled billions of dollars in aid to Canadians out of work, struggling businesses, and to procure personal protective equipment, test kits, and vaccines.
Opposition parties have already kicked off the day restating their demands for the already-inked speech, and will respond to the government’s promises once they are announced later this afternoon. The three main opposition parties will also be offered shorter windows to address the nation following Trudeau's comments this evening. The formal addresses in response to the speech from the throne in the House of Commons will begin in the days ahead, with both Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole and Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet hoping to deliver theirs from the Chamber after recovering from COVID-19. Both are to remain in self-isolation until given the all-clear from public health.
The throne speech comes more than a month after Trudeau prorogued Parliament for the first time as prime minister on Aug. 18, saying his government was seeking a chance to debate “ambitious ideals” in its COVID-19 response. Prorogation also hit pause on the ongoing committee probes into his government and the WE Charity student grant controversy.
Trudeau indicated at the time that the federal government’s focus would be on plotting a long-term green recovery plan, but he has since indicated that his cabinet plans to work on navigating the country through the next wave of cases.
Parliament's back: Stay up to date with our Capital Dispatch newsletter
Since Parliament was halted, COVID-19 cases have jumped nationally, from about 300 cases per day in mid-August to 1,248 on Tuesday, prompting Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam to implore Canadians and public health policy-makers to redouble infection prevention efforts now, or face a "very sharp and intense peak" in new COVID-19 cases that would likely lead to a return of national lockdowns.
Wednesday's speech is expected to include plans to spend more to support Canadians and businesses through the ongoing public health crisis, adding on to the already estimated $343-billion deficit this year.
The eventual vote on the throne speech will be one of an anticipated series of key confidence votes the Liberal minority will face in the days ahead, with the pressure on to also swiftly pass legislative changes need to implement three new temporary benefits meant as part of a package of EI reforms that include transitioning the millions of people who are still claiming the $2,000 a month Canada Emergency Response Benefit after it expires in September.
The minority Liberals will need to secure at least some support from across the aisle for the throne speech, or risk triggering a federal election.
The speech kicks off the resumption of regular House of Commons sittings, though as of late Tuesday evening, CTVNews.ca was told that talks were still underway on ironing out the logistical plan for how the new session will run. Set to resume at 2 p.m. ET, it remains to be seen precisely what the parties will agree to in terms of the number of MPs participating in-person versus joining virtually as was adapted during the spring. As well, an agreement on how remote voting will occur has yet to be announced.
Having the governor general deliver the throne speech is a parliamentary tradition, but with Payette currently facing an independent review of harassment allegations within her office, Wednesday's ceremony may be a little uncomfortable for Trudeau, who will be seated next to her.
While Trudeau has lauded her career, his office has faced questions about her appointment.
During the first Trudeau throne speech, Payette ad-libbed, adding in expressions about space. It remains to be seen whether she intends to add any personal flourishes to this pandemic-prompted parliamentary reset.
