He hadn’t needed to pick up his kids from school since Georgie got his license and his own car. But his son’s was in the shop, Victoria wasn’t allowed to drive on her own just yet and Audra was on set. As far as chores went, this was one he would happily complete. Spending more time with his children was always a plus.
His youngest was already at home given that George had play rehearsal and was staying longer, but once he arrived in the auditorium looking for his son, it was just in time to watch as he plunged to the ground.
Bill’s heart stopped and he was by the blonde’s side before he knew it. The relief that flew through him when Georgie came-to was short lived as the telltale signs of a concussion began to present.
“Hey kiddo,” the writer replied, voice low. “Yeah, you did fall, but we’re going to get you looked at, okay? Just move slow.” He’d have to let his wife and daughter know that they’d be off to the emergency room. There was no way he would ever take a chance with the health of his babies. No matter how old they got.
“Lean on me if you need to.”

I can't stop thinking about the losers going to the Met Gala.
They are all styled by Bev.
But Stan and Patty stay home, because neither of them are famous. But they judge the fuck out of what everyone wears.
Audra makes headlines by having two dates (pry audra x bill x mike from my dead hands)
Richie had to beg Eddie to go as his date.
Now for aesthetic.
Eddie and Bill are those boring men who just wear plain suits. (Ben wanted to but Bev said no. Lol)
Bev and Ben wear a matching Gown and Suit that fits the years theme and still looks hott af.
Richie is wearing a loud af suit, that's definitely pushing gender.
Audra wore a dress that was more red carpet then fitting the theme. But still hitting the theme.
Mike wears a suit matching Audra in colour and theming.
Patty and Stan wore their comfy clothing cuddled up on the couch.

❝ i don’t want anything to happen to you. ❞
Audra hated to think that their marriage was falling apart, but that was certainly what it felt like. They were fighting more and more, and about entirely insignificant things. She wanted to blame this stupid movie for it, but she was scared if she did it was only because she couldn’t admit to a greater problem. She’d told Bill from the start that she was hesitant to get serious. She had no real reason for it, no easy explanation as to why she was afraid, but he’d always been kind enough to understand that. He took things slow, and in the end it had worked out. She’d gone from a woman who couldn’t picture herself married to a woman proud to declare herself a wife. Now she wasn’t sure where they stood.
She hated that they weren’t able to have this fight in the safety of their own home. The only lick of privacy that they had was the thin metal walls of his trailer, and she just knew the cast and crew could hear everything. They’d been listening to them fight the entire time they’d been filming-- about a fucking ending no less. At least, that’s what she’d thought they were fighting about until he mentioned Derry. It wasn’t like Bill to up and leave, he was a procrastinator, but he wasn’t unprofessional. He kept saying he needed to go back, that he’d made a promise, that he didn’t have a choice, and he’d all but convinced her. She’d never seen him so crazed, pacing back and forth-- stuttering, like he was scared. She didn’t  understand. He was fine this morning, in fact, he’d been fine 30 minutes ago.
“What happened, Bill?” She questioned. “N-n-nothing. I just have to go back,” he replied dismissively, not even bothering to look at her as he continued to pack up what little things he kept in the trailer with him. Bullshit, it was nothing. Her arms crossed over her chest, and she tried to control the frustration rising within her. He was distraught, and it wouldn’t do him any good to get mad at him, but she couldn’t help him if he wouldn’t let her in. “Fine, whatever, you have to go back. Let me come with you, we’re almost done with filming, I could--” Bill cut her off with the harshest ‘No’ she’d ever heard. It wasn’t like him, to raise his voice with her, but he wasn’t like himself at all right now. “What the fuck Bill, why are you being like this?” For the first time since they’d started fighting, his eyes met her, and she saw a sadness in them that only came with true, unresolved trauma. “I don’t want anything to happen to you,” he replied plainly. The words caught her off guard. What could possibly be so dangerous in Derry that she couldn’t come with? Confusion was replaced with worry. If something could happen to her, something could happen to him.
“Bill, please. Tell me what’s going on? What have you gotten yourself into? Whatever it is, I can help. Just-- fucking tell me!”

Happy New Year// Stanlon
Stanley Uris did not want to be here.
In fact, he specifically asked Richie motherfucking Tozier not to drag him along to any of his bullshit parties but here he is, once again. Stupid Richie and his stupid crush on Eddie.
This is what has been happening every single fucking weekend since Richie ran into Eddie on campus two months ago. It was always “Eddie this” and “Eddie that”. At first his little crush was cute but now it had just gotten annoying. Stan was tired of being Richie’s “wing man”  and in all honesty, he felt like he never did much. Usually just shoved him in Eddie’s direction when necessary and then drove him home when it was over.
Not exactly a vital element to Richie’s relationship but still, here he was, on New Year’s Eve of all nights.
Well, it wasn’t like he had any big plans before but still, it would’ve been nice to hit up his favorite bookstore where the cute cashier worked. Stan didn’t know his name, I mean he always managed to avoid talking to him or even getting close enough to see his name tag but who knows what could’ve happened? Anything could’ve happened, it was New Year’s.
Curse his hopeless romantic nature.
Stan didn’t know if he would be there because it was the holidays and all but still, he could hope right?
He honestly thought tonight would be a little different, I mean Bev had come with them and if he couldn’t hang out with Richie then he could with Bev right?
Wrong.
She went off with some guy in her Intro to Psych class two minutes after Richie left to go find Eddie.
Now, here he was, alone, on arguably one of the most romantic nights of the year.
He looked up at the clock and sighed, 11:45.
Fifteen more minutes before the clock strikes 12 and everyone in the room was locking lips with someone they liked or worst of all, with a stranger. Stan didn’t want to be around when that happened, he had had the unfortunate opportunity of being forced into a kiss with a girl he didn’t even know the name of two years prior. He did not want that to happen again.
Stan weaved his way through the crowd and towards the kitchen, if he couldn’t drink he sure as hell could eat. He’d go to the backyard after that, there’d be less people and Stan could avoid that kiss like the plague it was.
Meanwhile, Mike Hanlon was stuck in a conversation with a drunk girl in a bathroom on the other side of the house.
Mike had come here on the request of Ben Hanscom, his best friend since the eighth grade. Ben had been crushing on this girl, Bev, since he first saw her in his Intro to Psych class a few months ago.
He really didn’t think he needed a wing man. Bev and Ben texted each other constantly and it was more than obvious that the feelings were mutual. To everyone except Ben that is.
Nonetheless, he agreed so that he could set his friend’s mind at ease. They got there an hour earlier than the redhead girl and Mike hated it. He could’ve been working a small shift, or just popping in at the store.
See if the cute guy who liked bird books would be in.
It was a stupid thought, but Mike was a hopeless romantic and maybe he could actually talk to him, instead of glancing at him whenever he came in.
Then he remembered that bird book guy probably had a life and plans on New Year’s Eve. Like every other college student on the planet.
When Bev got there, Ben disappeared with her earlier.
God knows what they were doing.
(PS: They were playing Minecraft in some guys bedroom upstairs.)
Now Mike managed to drift around the party up until now and then he had to use the bathroom, only to find a sweet girl who was incredibly wasted throwing up in the toilet.
So naturally, Mike lifted her hair and rubbed her back as she spilled the contents in her stomach.
Her name was Audra and she had just broken up with her boyfriend of three months, Bill. Apparently the timing was wrong and he was going to turn down a huge writing opportunity to be with her. She knew it was his dream and she couldn’t let him do that.
Audra, being Audra, dumped him so that she wouldn’t hold him back. That was four hours ago.
Now, four vodka shots and three beers later, she was here.
“Miike, I-I really liked hiiimmm, He was so kind and sweet. Kind of like you but white and skinnier.” Mike laughed as he handed her his bottled water.
She thanked him before downing the entire thing.
“My roommate said this would be good for me and now I just, I feel worse.” She slurred and Mike nodded.
“But I know I did the right thing, that program will change Bill’s life and make him a better writer. It’ll put him on the map and pub-publi-publis-”
“Publishers?” Mike finished and she nodded.
“Yeah, they’ll be lining up for his stories. He’s so talented Mikey, like so talented. He has a bigger shot of becoming a wri-writer than I do of being an actress.”
“I bet you’re an incredible actress” Mike assured her and Audra laughed bitterly.
“Yeah, tell casting directors that.”
“Audr-”
“Yeah yeah, I know. Believe in yourself and stuff and I do. I’ll get there eventually. But Bill can get there now, I’m no-not gonna hold him back. I-I just wa-want him to be ha-happy Mike.”
Before he could respond, a unfamiliar voice interrupted the two.
“Y-You make me happy.” Mike looked up to see a lanky looking guy standing above them. He looked down at Audra and the love in his eyes was evident enough to make the moment feel incredibly intimate.
“B-Bill!” Audra whined and Mike’s eyes widened.
“What are you doing here?” She slurred.
Mike took it as his cue to leave. Awkwardly he excused himself, whispering a small good luck to Audra as he left.
He pulled out his phone and sighed: 11: 45.
He had to find a bathroom.
Stan however, was knee deep in tortilla chips. He moved his head to the  beat of the music and looked around to see Richie leaning his hand on the wall above’s Eddie’s head.
They were laughing and talking and the whole thing looked a little to intimate for Stan. He looked away with a small smile on his face, eyes finding Bev and that psych guy making their way downstairs. Bev was laughing loudly as Ben explained something to her.
His heart warmed a little, it was nice, seeing his friends happy.
A cold feeling of loneliness crept up inside him and Stan’s smile faded. He put the chips down and looked down at his watch.
11:50.
Time to go and hide outside.
Mike had found a bathroom and quickly took care of his business. When he got out,he realized the lighting thoughout the frat house had dimmed significantly.
The romance of it all made his heart ache a little bit.
It was suffocating.
He looked up at the giant clock on the wall and sighed.
11:56
He looked back only to see his eyes land on Ben and Bev, Bev leaning on the fridge and Ben to the side of her. He was smiling and that made Mike smile.
It was nice to see him happy, he deserved it.
But the look in both their eyes was enough to make his heart ache a little more. Not with jealousy but with longing.
He wanted that.
He craved it.
Mike suddenly needed air. He weaved his way through the crowd and towards the back door.
There wasn’t a lot in the back, just a few guys and their girlfriend playing with sprinklers and setting up fireworks.
His gaze darted around until they landed on someone moving to the side of the house.
The curly hair was familiar, really familiar.
Mike followed it without thinking twice.
Could it be? Bird book guy?
God, he hoped it was bird book guy.
Mike was a hopeful one and most of the time, it didn’t do him any favors. Still, he couldn’t help but hope that this time it would.
He hesitated, taking a deep breath before turning the corner.
Stan was too busy skimming through his camera feed, absentmindedly looking at birds to notice Mike’s presence.
“Bird book guy?”
Confusion clouded Stan’s mind as he looked up, eyes widening as he caught sight of who the voice belonged to.
“Bookstore cashier guy” He whispered and Mike could feel his cheeks warm as his gaze flew to his boots.
“Yeah that’s-uh-that’s me I guess” He said, scatching the back of his neck nervously.
“What are you doing here?” Stan asked, still not believing he was here.
“I’m playing wingman tonight, you?”
Stan stared and Mike’s eyes met his.
He liked his brown eyes, he really liked them.
“Um, I was, I mean, yeah same” He stuttered out and Mike nodded.
“Why are you hiding out here” He asked and Stan blinked, regaining what little composure he managed to have around Mike.
“I’m just, I needed to get away for awhile you know?”
“Yeah, I-uh-I do know.”
The two went silent for a moment, both trying to figure out what to say.
“So-uh” Mike started and Stan held in his sigh of relief because he hated awkward silence, “you like birds huh?”
Mike wanted to shoot himself as soon as the words came out. Of course Stan liked birds, he had gotten about twenty books on them from his store alone.
Before Stan could answer, the countdown grew louder .
“3, 2, 1″ Screams erupted and both their eyes drifted to the window beside them, a clear view of the kitchen.
Mike watched as Bev put both hands on the side of Ben’s face and bought him into a sweet kiss. It was short and by the end of it, they both had turned a bright red afterward.
Bev interlocked their fingers and Ben’s smile widened.
Stan watched as Richie and Eddie both stared at each other for a long minute and then as Eddie grabbed Richie by the collar and brought their lips together.
The kiss was sloppy and Richie eyes were open throughout half of it. Finally they gained a rhythm, a slow and intoxicating rhythm and Richie finally closed his eyes and lost himself in Eddie.
Wrapping his arms around the smaller boy’s waist and pulling him into him.
Eddie’s fingers locked in Richie’s hair and Stan looked away before things could go any further.
Meanwhile, Bill was helping Audra into his car. He kissed the top of her forehead, telling her he loved her before helping her inside.
Mike looked back at Stan and smiled, a dumb idea in his head.
“Hey bird book guy.”
Stan turned around to face him and Mike moved his hand to grip Stan’s face.
“This might be really stupid but fuck it,”  he whispered, before leaning in to kiss him.
Stan reacted immediately, melting into Mike and moving his hands to his waist.
The kiss was soft and sweet at first. Mike moved Stan so that his back was against the wall and the curly headed boy gasped. Mike took the opportunity to deepen the kiss.
Both of Mike’s hands made their way to the side of Stan’s head and Stan’s moved to Mike’s back.
They lost themselves in each other,  breathing each other in like oxygen.
Stan could feel Mike smile against his lips and the warm feeling that erupted in his stomach earlier filled him entirely now.
There he was, making out with a guy he’s secretly had a crush on for almost a year now (whose name he didn’t even know), on the side of a frat boy house at midnight on New Year’s, with fireworks sounding in the background.
Stan couldn’t be happier.
When they pulled apart, foreheads touching, both gasping for air. Stan couldn’t help but smile.
“I’m Mike by the way” the brown boy muttered and Stan laughed lightly.
“Stan.”
Mike smiled and Stan’s grew wider.
“Happy New Year Stan” Mike whispered.
“Happy New Year Mike.”

Never felt the rain
Summary:  Could you write something with Bill having a young daughter and when she asks him to go playing outside in the rain while he was working, he brushed her off, so she went out on own her own and got lost, so Bill thinks she went missing like Georgie?
A/N: here you go anon, I hope you enjoy! Please let me know what you think, it would mean a lot! Also, thank you for requesting this, it had me writing again after a long time and I really missed it, so thank you
Tumblr media
Bill has a habit of writing as soon as rain starts drizzling from the sky. He doesn’t usually maintain a schedule, especially not after going back to Derry for a second time an gaining six friends who flitted straight back into his life and who each deserved as much of his time as the others, but when it rains, he forces himself behind the computer.
He draws the curtains shut, puts on a pair of noise cancelling headphones, and hopes that the downpour stops soon. According to his therapist, it’s because the weather reminds him of the day Georgie died and he turns to writing as a distraction, and while she might not be wrong, Bill prefers not to think about the specifics. All he knows is that as soon as dark clouds gather, he retreats to his study.
Audra knows this, and has, to Bills great shame, been a victim to his snappish behavior when he gets disturbed, so she leaves him be, and takes their daughter, Lily, on a mother daughter retreat. It’s their own routine that work well for the both of them, and so far, there haven’t been any problems with it.
Today, the bad weather struck out of nowhere, the rain spatters drumming their own beat on the windows and the foundation of the house, and Bill and remembers how bleak Georgie’s last day on earth had been. He retreats to his study in quiet without informing his daughter or wife about his plans, and slips into an imaginary world, where there’s no rain or bad memories.
He gets lost in it, thankfully. The rhythmic tapping of his keyboard and his own hushed voice lull him into a state so fully focused it allows him to forgo his environment. That includes ignoring the rain, but also the wooden door opening behind him as a small child sneaks in, big blue eyes full of a playful innocence.
He doesn’t hear Lily calling out to him, and is only notified of her arrival when her hand tugs on the sleeve of his shirt. It startles him, a cursed ‘Jesus’, slipping from his mouth before he clamps his teeth over his lips to stop more from tumbling out.
‘Daddy’, Bill reads of his daughters face, before he finally clads off the headset and hears her voice filter through.
She’s Georgie’s age now, and she resembles him a lot. For one, she looks up to her dad with as much wonder as her uncle did, a daddy’s girl through and through. She has the Knick for adventure too, though Bill is not sure that’s always a good thing.
‘What is it honey?’ He asks her with a soft voice. He suppresses the twinge of annoyance, now he’s broken out of his concentration, it’s hard not to notice the outside, and it’ll be difficult to reenter his writing groove.
‘Can we play outside?’ She suggest, lips contorted in a devious little smile that proves that Audra must have said no to her question, and she’s now trying her hand at the person she has wrapped around her finger.
Bill’s gut reaction is to agree. How could he not, when he made the promise to himself to always be the best dad he could be, ever since finding out Audra was pregnant. He swore to himself that he’d never neglect his child, never put her on the backburner for anyone or anything, and that he’d enjoy, relish in every memory he’d be allowed to make with her.
But, he can’t. Not in this situation. Not when Pennywise only came back a mere four months ago, and he was forced into painful memories and past mistakes. Not when he’s relatively convinced that IT’s gone for real, but not 100% assured.
He smiles painfully, and gently pulls his daughter in his lap. It’s not so much that he’s trying to spoil his daughter, it’s just that he loves spending time with her as much as she adores spending time with him. His heart twinges painfully at the notion of disappointing her.
‘Not right now Lil, Daddy’s working.’ He presses a kiss on the top of her head, and squeezes her a bit tighter when a particularly hard downpour causes his heart to clench painfully. If only he had given Georgie a hug like this before letting him out that day.
It’s far too late for that regret now, but he won’t allow the same fate to be bestowed upon his daughter.
‘Please?’ Lily pouts, blinking her eyes in a way that is entirely disarming. She’s so good at convincing, she would make an excellent actress one day. ‘It’ll be so much fun.’ She leans in closer on Bill’s lap, bumping her forehead against Bill’s chest. ‘I promise I won’t step in any puddles.’
It’s a complete lie of course, and Bill can’t help but grin at the idea of Lilly thinking she’s being sneaky about the whole thing, but still, he can’t concur.
‘Later, alright buttercup? And I promise that I’ll spend an entire day with you tomorrow?’
Lily doesn’t smile, so Bill does the one thing he’s become a pro at since becoming a dad; ticking her until she can’t help but laugh.
She shrieks instantly, squirming away from Bill’s fingers as the dance over her sides until she’s nearly toppled of his lip in her haste to escape him, and then giggles long after Bill’s stopped.
Once that too dies out, she bites her lip, seemingly scanning her chances of getting him to agree on going out anyway, but then she concedes.
‘Alright then’, she says a little bit disheartened, but agreeing none the less. She slitters back out as quiet as she came in, but not before a kiss over her shoulder and waving at Bill.
‘See you later dad.’
Bill smiles and waves back, crushed by love and grief battling in his heart for the upper hand, then he puts on his headphone, covers his ears, and he neglects to hear the front door open and lock with a deafening pull.
----
In the end, it’s the guilt that makes him give up only a half hour after Lilly came in to ask for his time. He peruse the last line he’d written, he hadn’t managed to find his flow after the interruption anyway, and closes the document of his new book for the day.
He still can’t find the strength to go outside in this weather but perhaps he can convince Lily that watching a movie and snacking on popcorn is a much better activity then getting wet and cold.
He shuffles into the kitchen, where Audra’s is already at, and wonders if they have enough corn to put together homemade popcorn.
‘Do you think Lily will want to watch a movie? I’m thinking Disney might be the way to go?’ He inquires Audra absentmindedly while scouring the pantries for the ingredients he needs. He knows, just from the sounds of Audra’s voice that something’s the matter.
‘She’s not with you?’ Audra chokes out, voice pinched in panic.
Bill’s heart stops for a full second, before rabbiting so hard his chest feels like exploding.
‘What?’ He asks, but the words feel foreign, like he’s not the one saying it.  Audra’s responding look is enough to give him all the answers he needs.
----
The rain remains unforgiven towards Bill, the background of the yet another great tragedy in his life. Cliché as it is, it does help cover up his tears, about the only positive thing in his situation right now. Audra is next to him, on the same level of utter panic as Bill’s, but he hopes for her sake that he appears more composed then he actually is.
He viciously wishes for the losers to be with him now, but calling them would take up to much time and they live too far away to be of any aid anyway.
His neighbors are aiding in the search, but they’re not enough. He doesn’t trust them like he trust his friends, he doesn’t want the life of his daughter depending on strangers.
They keep telling him that she’s fine, that she’s most likely having the time of her life without realizing how her parents are in shambles, but Bill can’t believe that. Lily’s been out for at least thirty minutes, that’s the time they noticed she had disappeared, and even Bill is shivering his socks off. He can’t afford to think about how cold Lily must be.
He separates from the group of searches after the weird glances he receives unsettled peeks when he ducks on his knees and calls out for his daughter in a sewer. Audra, who knows in part what happened to Georgie, lets out a sob.
Bill feels bad for leaving his wife all by herself, but he wants to cover as much ground as possible. He can’t wait at their front porch praying for Lily’s safe return, he knows from experience how feeble that is.
The options of where Lily could be are limited. Her friends live too far away for her to have walked to them, and there was only one place kids of her age liked to hang out. Still, when the park turns up nothing, he scours the area surrounding it, yelling out Lily’s name until his voice skips and a hoarse tone underline his words.
‘P-p-please.’ He screams with his head thrown back towards the sky, his stutter going unnoticed. ‘H-haven’t you t-t-taken enough from m-m-me?’ He’s unsure who he’s calling out too.
Bill’s attention is pulled towards a curtain that wobbles open, and old lady peeking from behind it, judging him with curious eyes. The first one to gossip apparently, but the last to help. Just as with Georgie. Bile threatened to spill as Bill walks on.
With his energy running low, as does his hope, Bill concedes to try and walk in the other direction of his home, to see if anyone else has had more luck than him. Then, seemingly using up all of Bill’s luck for the rest of his life, a wobbled; ‘Daddy’, cries out.
He’s never backed up so quick, and when he lays eyes on Lily, he’s never run that fast towards her either. It’s the pure and utter fear you experience as a kid, when you get lost in a comic in the store and you swivel back around to your mom, but she’s gone somewhere and you can’t find her.
That’s the feeling that linger when you lose someone close to you. And when she pops back up, that’s the utter relief Bill gets to taste now.
He’s back on his knees before he can comprehend it, and his hand curls around Lily’s back and head, cradling her so close this chest it’s nearly suffocating. Bill weeps, caressing his daughters hair as he checks her over.
‘Oh honey’, he chokes, swelling multiple times to force back the lump of tears.
Lily’s crying too, though it seems more out of reluctant than anything else.
‘I’m sorry dad. I just wanted to go out and play. But I fell and I think my bike is broken. I’m really sorry.’
Bill sorrow laughs. He can’t stop the ridiculous laughter that’s so absurd.
‘Lily, I couldn’t care less about a bike’, Bill explains, and he means it every bit. He pulls her back in a tight hug, allowing himself ten more seconds before he has to let go of her.
‘Please don’t ever do that again,’ he whispers, leaving a quick kiss on her head. He holds her as close as he wish he could have done to Georgie, if he had been found alive too. Maybe later, tomorrow or the day after, he’d have a more firm conversation about how sneaking out is not okay, but today, the relief wins over every other emotion or lecture.
‘Is mom mad?’ Lily asks, her own arms clenched around Bill’s shirt so tight it’s clear that she also had a large fright.
Shit, Audra. In an instant, Bill picks up his daughter, arm holding her up by the knees. She’s old enough to walk, but Bill has longer legs and walks faster.
‘No’, he assures her, despite a conformation of Audra. He’s sure his feeling are rekindled in his wife too. ‘But we have to let her know you’re okay. She’s worried too.’
‘Okay’, Lily agrees easy, her head resting on Bill’s shoulders. The rain isn’t that cold anymore, now that he has his child back in the safety of his arms.
----
That evening, Bill, Audra and Lily are cuddles together on their couch, watching Aladdin. Lily has long slipped to the land of dreams, but Bill and Audra want to keep her close for a little while longer. Maybe they’ll all spend the night here anyway, regardless of future back pains, but that’s a discussion for later.
Bill swipes one of Lily’s curls from her forehead gently, smiling when she snores deeper, then settles again.
‘Love you buttercup.’ Bill says, in his mind, he thinks, ‘I’ll never let anything happen to you.’

“When have I ever not just come out and asked something I wanted to know?” The older Denbrough asked his son as he continued to gather ingredients for the lunch he was about to make for himself. Audra was a lot more subtle in a lot of things than he was. Bill had never been great at beating around the bush.
“Why wouldn’t you talk to us about that? Do you not want us to meet someone you’re seeing? Scared we’ll embarrass you?” The writer teased, making sure he had enough for both he and Georgie to share.
