🍬🍁🎃 HAPPY SECOND ANNIVERSARY TO HALLOWTON 🎃🍁🍬

It's been two years since I first published my short book and since then the universe has expanded into two extra short stories, one featuring the kids on Friday The 13th, and the other wrapping up the mystery of Autumn

Almost every day I go on to think of what my spooky cast could be up to: Lottie and Ebony on a date, Ms. Miriam baking treats for her B&B, Mayor Grimm walking around the village and greeting the citizens

There's always so much going on in Hallowton that I don't think I'll ever run out of ideas, even really simple mundane stuff like Samson buying smoothies from the grocery store

Maybe someone already thought of this (I've been out of the tag for the last few days while I've been working) but here's how I can see the Hargreeves getting their powers back:

(spoilers-ish under the cut)

The Hargreeves are at the sushi bar and they start physically fighting over the jar of marigold, but, like, in a bitch-fight way, slapping and snatching basically

Meanwhile, Lila is drinking all of their shots

So, they keep fighting until the jar slips and breaks on the floor, the marigold then enters their bodies and boom, they have powers again

We already know from season one that the marigold will float to where it's going and this way is much more accurate to the show and characters than having a civil discussion

Also then, no one is to blame for tricking or forcing it on anyone, it becomes an accident of the siblings being idiots and sharing one brain cell

One more thing

Why did Lila have laser eyes???? Her powers have to do with copying the powers of those around her, like a chameleon

But none of the Hargreeves have laser eyes???

Literally I was expecting Diego and Lila to get home at the end and it would be revealed that their kids (or at least Grace since she was conceived while they had powers) had powers

...so, I just finished season four of the umbrella academy, and usually I try to stick with the positives with my fave shows, but... Damn is that hard to do with this

I finally did Bess and George!!

I completely underestimated the amount of stuff I would find, especially for George, I didn't know I had that many jeans/pants saved in my Pinterest board

I didn't name them but I'm figuring you folks and tell who's who because Bess and George are complete opposites in style

Also, I couldn't find them on any book covers from the 2000s onward except for the ones where they're kids (and I'm trying to stick with the books and not the games or graphic novels, otherwise I would've used those)

EDIT: On the charts, 'modern' means that I don't have dates for them, I have no idea when they're from other than 2010s-2020s

Thought I'd share the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys refs I did for myself last year, including face and hair, and outfits for each and combos that I thought looked good if I drew all three of them together

Nancy Drew has been invading my brain and since I made the outfit inspiration collages I've saved some more modern stuff in my Pinterest board

So I decided to throw in an update for Nancy and add in Sonny Joon from the games

I kept with the flow of the other collages, such as sweaters and blouses/dress shirts and suits, stuff that has gone on for decades

Because of my computer's deathbed state, I'll be going back to my traditional art roots this year~ It was actually really fun to do the lineart like this (and it also took 1/3 of the time) and it challenged me to not make a mistake that I would normally resize or reposition in an art program, so, here's to traditional art 🥂
