Seven Chaos Emeralds. Eggman's army of super-charged giant robots is on the hunt. A freak accident transforms Sonic into a reptilian monster. Without his famous speed, will Sonic be able to stop Eggman from destroying Westside Island and save the world?

Sonic basked in the fresh ocean air in the late evening. Most of the crew was asleep and Sonic had asked to chill in the crow’s nest for a bit to look at the stars. To think that not too long ago he believed the crew of the Final Hazard would eat him. Now he walks amongst the crew as if he were one of them. Even becoming friends with Shadow…

He had become so accommodating to him lately. Noticeably so… Ever since Shadow had opened up about Maria he began to see it. His own thoughts were swimming thinking about the vampiric captain. The small gestures, smoother tone to his voice… That dance…

“Omega told me you were up here.” Sonic practically yelps not expecting to see Shadow appear only a few feet from him. He could feel his face becoming hot and was thankful it was dark. “Is everything alright?”

“Y…yeah, you scared me. I just wanted to see the stars for a bit.” Sonic said composing himself. “Seeing them reflected off the ocean when it’s this calm is really something.”

“Stargazing is one of the reasons I enjoy being on the ocean. The major cities are becoming too bright with their constant lanterns. It’s impossible to see the stars.” Shadow said.

Sonic glanced over seeing the soft smile Shadow gave as he was glancing up at the sky, the reflections of starlight twinkle against his ruby eyes.

Oh…

“Glad we’re able to see it like this.” Sonic said looking back up at the sky.

“I agree, you can see the constellation of Light Gaia and Dark Gaia clearly.” Shadow said,

“I don’t think I know that one.” Sonic said.

Shadow leans closer, pointing up into the sky. Tracing with his finger the outline of the two constellations. “There, and there.  They look like they are about to fight. Do you see?” Shadow asked as Sonic felts Shadow’s shoulder brush up against his own.

Oh no…

His heart began to race at the realization of how close they were. It didn’t seem that Shadow minded the contact. Why was he just now putting the pieces together? He’s the fastest thing alive why did it take him this long to figure it out?

He has feelings for Shadow.

“Y… Yeah! I think I do?” Sonic stammered as he tries to keep his eyes on the sky. He had completely missed Shadow’s gestures to the stars but didn’t want to show his thoughts were otherwise occupied.

“You’re a terrible liar.” Shadow huffed. Lightly tilting Sonic’s head up higher before tracing the forms again. A grouping of stars in similar size. One more of a serpent visage and the other more boxy.

“Oh! I see it!” Sonic said sounding proud of himself. “Thanks,” Sonic smiles brightly as Shadow looks away.

“Would you… like company?” Shadow asked.

“Sure! Any other constellations you know about?” Sonic said as Shadow nods.

“One moment.” Shadow disappears in a mist before returning with a blanket he hands to Sonic, “Don’t need you catching a cold.” Sonic smiles taking the blanket and laying down on the ground of the crow’s nest patting next to him for Shadow to join.

Shadow smiles back before lying next to him and starts explaining the stars to him as Sonic listened intently with a smile on his face. Occasionally stealing glances at Shadow.

Actually fun fact abt that! Before settling the way they are now, the group HAAS attempted on switching equipment to test out n see who does best w what,, and uh to everyones horror knuckles turned out to be the best at taking these polaroids! Nobody had ever rly managed to capture anything on the pictures since they'd either just miss out on it completely or forget to take a picture in the right moment</3

Knuckles, however, manages to do exactly that. His.. so called skills bested pretty much everyone. Which iiiiissss partly because he takes way too many "panic pictures" that end up wasting a lot of film and groups savings... They can't help it tho cause he rly does end up getting the job done best.

Yup sorry more @sonic-au-collision propaganda haha! I answered an ask the other day about Rubia and realized I need to flesh her out more so here's some doodles! She usually acts more like Shadow but ask her about space or music and Amy comes through more haha!

So was having fun with some incorrect quote generators and figured I'd share some of my favorite results of the stuff I did for Lost and Found. Featuring mostly stuff post Shadow 05 arc and the "future arc" (Mephiles and Silver stuff)

So the games and comics aren't really a part of Hedgehog University AU since it's a mostly chill college AU but some of the plot points from them are loosely incorporated! (Some more seriously than others)

-- CD happened when Amy first met Sonic and Metal during the big freshman picnic right after everyone moved in. Amy developed a crush on Sonic at first sight but Metal decided he was Sonic's rival om first sight aand awkwardly "kidnapped" Amy away from the picnic and attempted to flirt with her until Sonic stepped in and rescued her

-- SA1 was when one of the water systems started having issues and flooded parts of campus while Chaos (who is also a student) had a complete breakdown about something and started making scenes all over campus. During this period Amy was busy taking care of Birdie, an injured bird she found.

-- SA2 didn't really happen since Maria is still alive but there was a whole period during the beginning of Sonic's freshman year where people kept confusing Sonic with Shadow (even though they look nothing alike lol). The "faker" scene was a giant confrontation when Sonic finally met Shadow and they had a fight in the middle of the Quad.

-- Heroes and the Rivals games were some different campus-wide scavenger hunt events with different groups of friends teaming up and competing.

-- Shadow the Hedgehog was just Parent's Weekend when Black Doom showed up and tried to manipulate Shadow into thinking he was a good dad despite not interacting with him at all in like ten years and never paying child support.

- '06 occurred during Sonic and Silver's freshman year when Mephiles's twin sister Iblis set a fire on campus. Silver and Blaze nearly got hurt in the fire. Mephiles convinced Silver that Sonic set the fire, causing him punch Sonic in the face and Shadow had to break up the fight. They figured out it wasn't Sonic's fault, but never found out exactly what happened.

-- The Riders games are just random times when Jet and his skater friends challenge Sonic to skateboarding races.

-- The Storybook games (SatBK and Secret Rings) were plays of King Arthur and the Round Table and Arabian Nights put on by the theater department that Sonic somehow managed to star in.

-- Forces was a giant Nerf battle/capture the flag type game all across campus. Sonic's team was winning and Infinite decided it would be more interesting if he got Sonic out of the way, so he ended up locking Sonic in a storage room for six hours and a large part of the rest of the game was Sonic's team trying to find out where he was and break him out while Infinite's team tried to keep them from finding him.

-- The Metal Virus arc from the IDW comics was a campus-wide game of "zombies" where if you got tagged you were turned into a "zombot" (far less angsty that the real arc)

-- The Murder of Sonic was Amy's birthday party and it happened basically like it did in the game except it took place in different rooms on campus instead of a train and there was no big boss fight at the end. Espio did actually accidentally knock Sonic out and felt absolutely embarrassed about it.

I'm gonna count this as propaganda for the AU Collision @sonic-au-collision

Swapped, eh? As in, someone other than Sonic gets kaiju-fied...

Sonic has had body issues in the past where it came to how he was perceived by others, but for Amy, it would be on a whole 'nother level... Especially when her clothes get shredded apart in the transformation.

Luckily they're still on Tails's home turf when this happens; a quick trip to his old lab results in some spare tarps and canvases which come in really handy.

Sonic is always there to reassure her that there's nothing to fear, and that they'll help her find a way to change back to normal. In the meantime, of course...

...Eggman and his robots better watch out for Rosezilla!
