I just. I tried so hard to communicate clearly and respectfully. But it's such a blow to everything I've tried to be, being told that by acting and reacting in a way that I thought was appropriate, that I wasn't told was inappropriate, that I was invited to, even, I still hurt someone I care about. I want her to be happy without me and away from me. I just wish that that didn't come with my having to face yet another reminder of what it means to exist in the world as the kind of being that I am. And I wish I could have continued to live under the illusion that it's okay for me to act the way other people do. I wanted that to be reality so badly.
