Every tea scene where Levi drinks tea now makes me think that this is what he needed during his time with the younger Scouts: Comfort, closeness, and (quality) time with his mother. It makes me think about how much we value tea in my culture, how much we drink it in community with others or even when we are alone. How tea is the only thing that brings us warmth on cold or lonely days. So when Levi drinks tea every time, it brings him a form of comfort and warmth that he needs from his mother. Even when his teacup broke, it didn't stop him from drinking tea. Not because he has to, but because he wants and needs it.

EDIT: You can see the light disappearing after his mother died :( my poor baby

3 a.m. and i'm in my bed crying because of attack on titan and i don't know why. i mean i liked the finale so much, and i think it was the only ending that actually make sense and fit the whole story, but then i think about eren and i am so fucking sad my stomach burns. and i know he's not innocent but the thought that he was a kid makes me sob, cause a kid should not live like that, make those kind of decisions, sacrifice himself and the whole human race for his loved ones after losing so many of them, and it makes me sad that he wanted to live, and to be free but he never was, and that he'll never know the freedom he spent all his life trying to reach.
