i got told by my employer that "my heart isn't in it anymore, i'm not as motivated, i lost the spark in my eyes" even though i went back to work 1 week after i lost my father, never took any breaks, continued to do my duties perfectly - all while crying on the bus on my way to work and crying relentlessly whenever i got there.

yeah, i've lost the spark in my eyes. i don't fucking care about some stupid e-mails. yet i continued to do my best at work. if you're gonna fire me for that, do it. like i care about anything at this point.

i lost my father to cancer a month ago. he was 54. he had been fighting for three years and we did everything possible to heal him but in the end it was futile. everything is a constant reminder of him and it's so hard. fuck cancer.

#today is a tough one #it's been exactly 40 days; and i keep asking myself #why did he have to die?#why did he have to suffer so much #there was a whole life ahead of him #so many things he was planning to do after beating cancer #why why why
