Giant Steps (1960) by John Coltrane
Landmark jazz album that revolutionized improvisation with its complex harmonic structure and rapid chord changes. The title track showcases Coltrane’s legendary technique, introducing the now-famous "Coltrane changes" that challenged and inspired generations of musicians. Tracks like Naima add a lyrical, emotional depth, balancing technical brilliance with soulful expression. A must-listen for any jazz enthusiast, this album cemented Coltrane’s status as one of the greatest saxophonists of all time.
I'll probably keep making pixel arts of album covers, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know. If you're going to use my content or upload it to other sites, please let me know.

Cardi B Compares Atlantic Records To A "Correctional Facility
In a striking recent remark, Cardi B has drawn an unconventional comparison between Atlantic Records and a “correctional facility.” This analogy not only underscores her frustrations with the music production process but also reflects the broader challenges and pressures that artists face within the industry. Her Instagram Story, which portrayed her walking through a studio while lamenting her…

.Comprehension II.
_______
It’s comprehensive
Clued-in friends
Like we all magenta
Salt and pepper shakers
Spicy conversation
Keep the heat excessive
Mr. Mustard in the Kitchen
With the Candlestick
Could have used a knife
To handle it
But that’s the question
Win or lose a game
She still in Miami
Gaining hoops and rings
Such a heartbreaker
Thievery and larceny
Much grander than a shooting game
Vices aren’t a drug
Most of us stop taking
Snort when she laugh
Blurry eyes, I’m faded
Munching ‘til my mandible is iced
Outrageous, what we do for love
For we’re found
Feeling tight these days
She keep murder
On her mind like Mavis
Mellow like Melly, multiply my status
Sentence so long, no colon can save it
I guess that you are what you eat
And since I prefer sweets
I’m just glad her fragrance
I’ve tasted, evidently

"THE ALBUM ABOUNDS WITH WICKED, FIRST-HAND ACCOUNTS OF RIFF RAFF, PROBLEM CHILDREN, BAD BOY ROCKERS, AND VD-INFESTED GROUPIES."
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on record adverts for "If You Want Blood You've Got It" (a.k.a. "If You Want Blood"), the first live album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, and their only live album with Bon Scott (1946-1980) as lead vocalist. The album was released on Atlantic Records and Tapes in the fall of 1978.
ALBUM OVERVIEW: "The image on the album cover says it all.
Angus Young, innocence stitched into the very fabric of his standard-issue schoolboy’s suit, stands impaled by the depraved spear of rock and roll.  Behind him, tattooed singer Bon Scott welcomes the diminutive guitarist over to the dark side, clearly aware from personal experience that it ain’t such a bad place to be.
In a sense, the AC/DC sound itself is a product of the pure and the perverse, and If You Want Blood You’ve Got It drops you right in the middle of a live, in-the-flesh celebration of that unholy union.  The album abounds with wicked, first-hand accounts of riff raff and problem children, bad boy rockers and VD-infested groupies, for the most part shouted over three simple chords played loud, proud and with joyous abandon.  The blood spewing from Angus’ stomach in the cover photo may have been fake, but make no mistake about it: blood and guts were exactly what he and the rest of the boys – guitarist and older brother Malcolm Young, bassist Cliff Williams, drummer Phil Rudd, and the irrepressible Scott – left on the stage every single night."
-- RICHARD BIENSTOCK, "If You Want Blood..." (1978) 2003 CD remaster liner notes

Happy Blessed Birthday to CEO of Atlantic Records, Craig Kallman (Born August 13, 1965 in Manhattan, New York). @craigkallman
DID YOU KNOW:
In the book "Babygirl: Better Known As Aaliyah" (starting on page 62, if you would like to read about her experience being blackballed in the industry) it talks about how Craig signed Aaliyah to the label (Atlantic Records) when she was 16. He said that Aaliyah was the "Complete Package".
Despite Aaliyah being blackballed from the music industry, Craig knew exactly what to do and had a plan to simply remarket AALIYAH and get her back out there, and it WORKED!
In 1996 she would go on to release "One In A Million" which would change the GAME, and Aaliyah herself would go on to be the most sought after and highest paid female artist in our era.
Please help wish this music hero a Happy Blessed Birthday! Thank you for giving Aaliyah a chance when everyone else was closing their doors.
