If anyone knows of or wrote a good, well-written, complete fic, especially more recent ones, I'd love some recommendations. Current fandoms I'm in are:

Harry Potter: I like Scorbus best but I'm open to anything except Harry/Voldemort. Harry/Young Tom Riddle AU is fine.

All for the Game: Andreil is my favorite but really any pairing in this fandom that doesn't involve Riko or Drake is fine. I've read most of the classics for this fandom though (like anything by crazy_like_a, moonix, gluupor, nekojita, or fuzzballsheltiepants. All authors I super highly recommend if you're into AftG fic and haven't already read. They're all amazing).

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Haikyuu: My personal favorites are Kagehina, Kuroken, and Tsukkiyama but I'll read anything.

Miraculous Ladybug: I like Lovesquare or Lukanette, but again, really anything goes. I've read a lot of the older classic lovesquare fics, like "Smoulder", "Tendencies", "The Ladybugs and the Bees", and a lot of the ones with the most kudos on AO3.

Carry On (by Rainbow Rowell): I don't think I've ever seen anything for this fandom that's not Snowbaz...

I know it’s a trying time for everyone right now, so if I end up doing this, I want to make the prices more than reasonable. 1) campfire in your chest by deanpendragon also it’s partner fic stay stay stay by the same author campfire in your chest is tsukkiyama and stay stay stay is kagehina theyre haikyuu fics obviously and they are so good anything but that author is really good their understanding of the characters is so good and the way they write is amazing and i just ajdbajdjwihdjw they’re the kind of fics where you come away from them and you’re like “that just changed my life i’ll never be the same now” very cool very good

2) mountains and badgermole hills by glass_onion so so good atla fic the characterizations are so good and it captures the whole essence of atla perfectly and it’s zuko centric of course cause i’m a slut for angry little bitches with issues and it’s about FRIENDSHIP and it’s so funny like this author is hilarious truly such an amazing fic i reread it every two months because i love it so much just recently got finished and it’s so gooooooood

The Proposal + The Party (wip) + First Kiss (wip)

Tsukkiyama ATLA AU

I’m really proud of some of my improvements these last few months! This AU has been bouncing around in my head for ages haha so I’m slowly drawing out the story. Maybe one day I’ll properly write it! Also ik it’s unlikely for an air representative to have such fancy clothes but idc yams in flowly robes gives me life uwu also most air nomads have shaved heads but since Tadashi came from the water tribe he wouldn’t be expected to shave it until receiving his airbending mastery tattoos, which he will never receive bc he eventually defects and runs away with Kei before finishing his training. Anywho read on for more details on each piece, tho two are still in progress felt like it would be fun to post some together. Also there is a specific reason why Tsukki carved yams a betrothal necklace and not vice versa

This AU starts in Avatar Roku’s time around 20/25 years before the air nomad genocide. Tadashi and Kei were both born in the Northern Water Tribe and were childhood friends. Kei comes from a very prestigious noble water bending family, a very recognizable one at that with very uncharacteristic fair white or blond hair as a result of a strong spiritual connection central ancestors had, in addition many members are predisposed to having a powerful bond with the moon. They are a very small clan, but very powerful, and they are often found in important occupations like taking care of the spirit oasis. Akiteru is the heir to most of the family’s titles, giving Kei decent leeway to do what he wants, though there are still many expectations as a member of such a traditional clan. He will be expected to be highly educated on local and global affairs and expected to partake in a politically beneficial arranged marriage later in life as is customary in the northern tribe.

Tadashi on the other hand is an only child of a small family of no import. His mother and father ended up working for the Tsukishimas so he was around the place a lot, and being the same age meant the two became fast friends around the age of 7. Tadashi’s earnest goodnatured attitude was a candle to Kei’s more icy exterior. They become really close friends, both pariahs in their own right. Kei could be popular on his family name and his burgeoning waterbending talent, but his rude attitude and disdain for expectations make him disliked but grudgingly respected. Tadashi is derided for his lack of bending and lack of status. Before befriending Tsukki he was often picked on. Finding comfort and understanding in their odd symbiosis, they lived in their own little world.

A huge shock came to their friendship when they were 12, Tadashi discovering his airbending abilities. Turns out his mother was once an air nomad, born and raised, but with fairly weak bending abilities, thus never receiving mastery tattoos, who choose to abandon that life when she fell in love with a water tribe man when a journey threw her off course. Because marrying across nations is very uncommon and slightly stigmatized, especially during the tumultuous decade before the start of the Hundred Years’ War that marked increased division. Thus Tadashi’s mother completely abandoned her old identity in order to fully assimilate into the culture of the Northern Water Tribe and never mentioned it to her son in order to protect him from any additional scorn of being the result of a internation couple. Since her airbending abilities were so weak and her husband was a non bender she figured it would never be important.

Quite a shock when Tadashi’s abilities suddenly bloom at 12, fairly late for bending to manifest but likely a result of not growing up amidst the spirituality of air nomad culture that is so essential to airbending practices. Some sort of minor public spectatcle occurs due to Tadashi’s uncontrolled new abilities, leading to the tribe’s leadership demanding he be sent to the northern air temple to become an air bender. Another result of expectations for a harsh division between nations due to the polarization of the Fire Nation’s aggressive actions leading up to the hundred year war. Kei is upset because his only true friend is leaving and does what he does best and decides to get icy and push him away. Tadashi is terrified to leave behind the only culture and family he has ever known to go to a completely new place, and he is hurt. They leave on these complicated feelings. Kei continues his waterbending training and his studies full force to avoid his feelings, and a complex relationship with his brother and family further drive him to avoid expanding his social circle as expectations loom. Tadashi travels to the air temple and is very nervous about the whole thing. Determined to move on and make the best of things, Tadashi is pleasantly suprised by the fun loving nature of the air nomads. He quickly bonds to his mentor Shimada, and becomes fast friends with fellow new air apprentices, Hinata from the Fire Nation and Yachi from the Earth Kingdom, who also discovered a hidden nomad heritage when their bending abilities bloomed. Tadashi trains, and while he is no bending genius he works hard to improve. He pays particular attention to his studies and this makes him a prime candidate for later diplomatic missions as tensions worsen between the four nations.

The Party:

This is the earliest chronologically, basically representing the first meeting Yamaguchi and Tsukishima have after many years apart. After 6 long years Kei and Tadashi meet again when a diplomatic convoy of air nomads is sent to the Northern Tribe. There is a big party with diplomats from each nation. This is about 7 years before the start of the war. The fire nation is there on formality and treated with the most distrust while the other three nations are fairly friendly and willing to let loose with each other. (The fire nation convoy will consist of some other characters, possibly Kageyama and Oikawa? Still working that out) I’m thinking that Asahi and Daichi might be an earth kingdom princes with bodyguards Noya and Tanaka, who become good friends with waterbender Suga. The diplomatic trip is meant to last around 8 months. Anyway this drawing is meant to represent Yamaguchi and Tsukishima’s first meeting at 18 after so many years. Fancy clothes, endless formalities, both considering the other insanely attractive... and they are both drawn in by each other’s familiarity and confidence. This is the first spark of something new between the witty remarks and coy glances. They have no clue what hit them.

First Kiss

Jumping ahead of a lot of yearning... I mean truly a ridiculous amount of dancing around each other for maybe 3 months they finally kiss. Complicated by the impending arrangement of Tsukishima’s marriage to another prestigious young waterbender, Kiyoko, who Tsukishima greatly respects but is in no way attracted to. They keep their blooming romance a passionate secret to prevent political disaster for the nomads and Tsukki’s family. It’s really hard for them to keep their hands off of each other and there are plenty of close calls. There is some jealousy on both sides due to the uncertainties of their relationship. Yamaguchi discovers a betrothal necklace Kei is carving and is painfully reminded of the marriage expectation. Luckily both make strong connections to new friends and slowly their relationship becomes known to this close circle. For a bit they worry about what would happen if Kiyoko finds out, but later they discover her affair with the earth kingdom bodyguard Tanaka so she gets it.

The Proposal

wrote this out and then tumblr didn’t save it so y’all get the quick version bc it is almost 7 am and no I have not slept. Now they are in the Northern Air temple for the tail end of the diplomatic mission. Kei carved the necklace for Yamaguchi, not Kiyoko as he had assumed. In a secluded garden on the island Kei proposes to Yamaguchi with the betrothal necklace. Though made for and worn by women, their relationship already defied infinite traditions and Kei knew how much it would mean for Tadashi to have their relationship carved into stone. They agree to run away to be together after wrapping up the diplomatic mission. Then more stuff happens I have not gotten to yet lol. There will def be a lot of side ships. If anyone has any ideas for side ship plot lines def come chat! I’d love to hear if ppl like this AU idea

Harry Potter:

"It's Tea Time" series by ellizablue https://archiveofourown.org/series/538465 : Scorbus and Hinny with the full next gen ensemble. I love the plot and the characterization, and the romances are all so well written with both fluff and angst and hints of spice. Also Harry becomes the DADA professor in case that gets anyone interested. The last work in the series is unfinished (and I think the author intends it to stay that way) but it ends on a non-cliffhanger.

"I Knew It All Along" series by LittleRose13 https://archiveofourown.org/series/868896 : Scorbus with the next gen kids. I love Albus and Scorpius and Rose are characterized and I really like the OCs. Am now personally invested in Thea's story.

"oh, I'm gonna let the future in" by Thealmostrhetoricalquestion https://archiveofourown.org/works/7266415/chapters/16499047 : Endgame Scorbus (spoiler alert). This one was emotionally very well done and I highly recommend it to anyone who's ever felt out of place in their family or like they weren't enough. I actually recommend it for everyone but especially those people. It wasn't written to be Cursed Child compliant but that didn't detract at all from my enjoyment of the story, and I'm a bit of a canon stickler usually...

"survival is a talent" by ShanaStoryteller https://archiveofourown.org/works/12006417/chapters/27167826 : Drarry plus most of the main generation ensemble cast. It's a soulmate fic which I usually don't love but this one is very well done. It gets kind of OOC in my opinion, but it starts IC and the transition is very smooth and believable. May I also note that I love the pets. Abigail, Payne, and Theophania, plus the others that I won't mention for spoilers' sake, give me life. This one is in progress as well.

"Shadow Magic" by Lomonaaeren https://archiveofourown.org/works/15432591/chapters/35821539 : uhh... do Harry and Theodore Nott have a ship name? Well it's that. Dark!Harry in Slytherin with shadow powers, grey morals, and protective tendencies. I wasn't sold on this one at first because of the ship but I ended up quite enjoying it. The nice thing about Theodore Nott as a character is that because he's basically never mentioned, he can basically be whatever the author wants/needs him to be and this author did a great job with him, I think. I love how Harry's powers are written. Though, if you're particularly attached to Ron, Hermione, Ginny, the Golden Trio friendship, or Draco Malfoy, you may not like this one so much.

Anything by nekojita https://archiveofourown.org/users/nekojita/pseuds/nekojita/works?fandom_id=2312580 : Mostly canon pairings plus Jerejean and Renison which are basically treated by the fandom as canon at this point. Long and plotty and I can't even imagine the amount of effort that went into these. My favorites are "Way Down We Go" and "Black as is the Raven..." but everything nekojita wrote is worth a read.

Anything by gluupor https://archiveofourown.org/users/gluupor/pseuds/gluupor/works?fandom_id=2312580 : Andreil. gluupor is absolutely hilarious and their characters are so relatable and I never fail to laugh out loud when reading their work. They have caused me to get many weird looks. My personal favorites are "Nine Weddings and No Funerals", "I'm with Cupid", and "Andrew Minyard: Tiny Gay Disaster".

"The Odds are Never In Our Favor" by MalikShah https://archiveofourown.org/works/11162910/chapters/24914697 : Yep, it's an Andreil Hunger Games AU. And just as angsty and plotty you would expect a Hunger Games AU spanning all three books to be. No love triangle. Jean is Finnick. It's great.

"It's not a family without love" by AgapantoBlu https://archiveofourown.org/works/15763407/chapters/36664770 : Older Nicky adopts the twins when they're young. Nicky-centric, he's such a gem in this story, trying so hard for the twins. Not that he's not a gem in canon too but anyway... It's alternately super sweet and super angsty. It's in progress but if I recall correctly, the current ending isn't a cliffhanger.

Anything by any other author I mentioned having already read: crazy_like_a, moonix, fuzzballsheltiepants, lolainslackss, ephemeralsky, SpangleBangle, this fandom may be small but it has so many absurdly talented authors.

Avatar: The Last Airbender:

"As the Sun" by dandeliondreams https://www.fanfiction.net/s/7002165 : Avatar Azula with Maiko and some Tyzula. It's been awhile since I read this but it really left an impression on me. Azula is still Azula but she has motivation to fight for the other side instead. It's a really good read. In my opinion, everyone is really in character.

"Romance of the Four Nations" series by kangaroo2010 https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10919927 : A long, super plotty Zutara series that basically explores the more political and military side of the Avatar world. Instead of Zuko being banished, he gets sent to the army. He and Azula love each other. Korra is the Avatar. Very long read but worth it.

Haikyuu:

"but for me, there is a storm" by Authoress https://archiveofourown.org/works/2074782/chapters/4512390 : Long, plotty, angsty Pacific Rim AU. Multipairing but Kagehina is the focus. I've never seen Pacific Rim so I don't know how true the AU is but there are lots and lots of details which added a lot to the story.

"Seasons" series by Nimbus_Cloud https://archiveofourown.org/series/475162 : Kuroken with side Bokuaka. Basically Kuroo goes to college and they deal with the separation. It's hard for me to comment on how true the characterization for sports anime characters is in fics because there's often a lot less to go by, but I like how Kuroo and Kenma are in this fic. It seems very plausible.

"the certain things we lack" by deanpendragon https://archiveofourown.org/works/10379625/chapters/22923135 : Tsukkiyama. There was not much about either of their families in canon except for the thing with Akiteru and Kei but this is a story about families and love. The romance is sweet and believable and the friendship turned romantic dynamic between Tsukki and Yamaguchi is true to canon. All of deanpendragon's Haikyuu fics are worth reading if you like Tsukkiyama. The "campfire in your chest" series is another of my Haikyuu favorites which also features Kagehina.

Miraculous Ladybug:

Everything I mentioned in the previous post, the old fandom classics like "The Ladybugs and the Bees", "Smoulder", "When Duty and Desire Meet", the "Tendencies" series, "Lucky Us", "Guardians", etc.

Anything by demistories https://archiveofourown.org/users/demistories/pseuds/demistories/works?fandom_id=582724 : Lovesquare usually, sometimes with DJWiFi. Everything they write is so sweet and in character. I especially love the friendship between Adrien, Nino, Alya, and Marinette and their group dynamics.

"Grumpy Cat" by imthepunchlord https://archiveofourown.org/works/6327250/chapters/14497546 : Felix (the original Chat Noir Felix, not Felix from season 3) is Chat Noir. Classic asshole soft for one (1) person, his Queen (Ladybug). But he slowly comes to respect Marinette as his civilian identity prior to the reveal. Adrien is a character later in the story too.

"La Jaconde" series by volti https://archiveofourown.org/series/1352365 : Lukanette. An exploration of their friendship slowly turning into a romance. Really great characterization. Luka is a champion friend-turned-boyfriend. Marinette is Marinette. It's alternately sweet and angsty.

Carry On:

"rebel rebel" by BasicBathsheba https://archiveofourown.org/works/15485421/chapters/37703906 : I think everyone who reads Carry On fic knows this one but I really like it so I'm recommending it anyway. Baz was raised by Aunt Fiona AU. Lots of music and cars. The Mage is terrible.

"A Foreign Affair" by annabellelux https://archiveofourown.org/works/19892191/chapters/47115382 : Red, White and Royal Blue AU. Exactly what you would expect a Snowbaz RWRB mashup to be.

The Raven Cycle:

"What Stays and What Fades Away" by burn_it_slow https://archiveofourown.org/works/8596933/chapters/19715257 : Pynch future AU. They broke up but Blue and Gansey get engaged and they have to see each other again. I think it was written before the Opal short story and definitely before CDTH but it's very believable and the characterization is great.

"Felt Like You Were Mine" by EtoileGarden https://archiveofourown.org/works/12478352/chapters/28402512 : Pynch, Adam has a younger brother. Ethan is adorable and Adam is so in character in my opinion. The Parrish parents suck as per usual.

If anyone knows of or wrote a good, well-written, complete fic, especially more recent ones, I'd love some recommendations. Current fandoms I'm in are:

Harry Potter: I like Scorbus best but I'm open to anything except Harry/Voldemort. Harry/Young Tom Riddle AU is fine.

All for the Game: Andreil is my favorite but really any pairing in this fandom that doesn't involve Riko or Drake is fine. I've read most of the classics for this fandom though (like anything by crazy_like_a, moonix, gluupor, nekojita, or fuzzballsheltiepants. All authors I super highly recommend if you're into AftG fic and haven't already read. They're all amazing).

Carry On (by Rainbow Rowell): I don't think I've ever seen anything for this fandom that's not Snowbaz...

My rules for fic I'll read are no incest, no huge age differences (20+ years) or pedophilia, and no endgame abusive/toxic relationships.
