I had this in my google docs unfinished so I decided to at least add an ending to my silly draft based off of a au I had.

“Wouldn’t a human like you be more afraid of me?”

“Er..why should I be scared of you sir?”

“Is it not quite obvious? I’m a fae, you're a child of man. All humans hate fae.”

“Father?” Lilia snapped out of his train of thought to see Silver looking at him a bit concerned.

“Hmm, yes Silver?”

“You looked like you were zoned out or in some trance. Are you alright?”

“Kufufu, of course I am, I just get a little stuck in the past. That’s all~”

“Ah, okay.”

Lilia stared at Silver longer which led to a long awkward silence between the two.

“Father, I need to head to class now.” Silver said, breaking the silence as he went to leave.

Lilia nodded and watched Silver walking away leaving the dorm.

Silver…he reminded Lilia so much. So much of a human boy he once knew.

Lilia wasn’t sure why this human boy was following him. Even though the boy tried to be discreet about it, his unique features such as his silver hair and his aurora-like eyes.

Still he decided to humour this child of man and pretended not to notice him.

Soon after having enough of humouring the child, he turned around immediately, leading to the boy yelping in surprise at being caught so soon.

“What are you doing following me?” Lilia demanded.

The boy looked a bit nervous to say anything but still said what he wanted to say. “…I was curious to know more about you.”

“Know more about me?” Lilia let out a laugh at the thought of that. How silly can this human be?

The silver haired boy nodded. “Well, yes.”

“I’m curious, child of man, how did you find me?”

“Well I like to explore the forest a lot and saw you so, I got curious and followed you.”

“My, how brave of you. A human daring enough or perhaps foolish to go after a fae.”

“Foolish?”

“Well yes. Wouldn’t a human like you be more afraid of me?”

“Er..why should I be scared of you sir?”

“Is it not quite obvious? I’m a fae, you're a child of man. All humans hate fae.”

“I don’t hate you though?”

With how the boy responded it only seemed to amuse Lilia more. Is this boy not aware of the war that is raging as of right now between the human and fae?

Lilia signed. “Child of man, shouldn’t you be going back to whatever home you may have back at your human village-“

“I don’t have a home.”

That surprised the war general. Lilia raised an eyebrow.

The silver haired boy fidgeted with the hem of his shirt. “Never had one really.”

“So you never had parents or anything at all?” The human boy wanted to know more about the fae but now here was Lilia prodding the boy questions about his home life.

The boy hesitated before continuing. “I do have a dad, but he’s always drinking so I don’t consider the house I live in a home.”

Ah. So the boy’s father was an alcoholic.

“Your mother?”

The boy shrugged. “She left after I was born.”

“And here you are, a child of man, curious of what humans consider their enemy. The fae.” Lilia said, concluding it all up.

“I’m curious about a lot of things.” The boy said.

Lilia chuckled. “We had an interesting conversation for sure but I must be going now, child of man.”

“Why?”

Was it not obvious from his attire? He was still dressed up for war.

“Have you not heard of the fae-human war that is still going on?” He asked incredulously.

“I hear adults talking about it but I didn’t know you were part of it.” The boy said bluntly.

Lilia snorted. “Anyways I must be going.”

“Will I see you again?” The boy asked curiously.

“…we’ll see.”

Once again they met. The boy saw him trudging through the forest and instead of trying to follow him in secret since the fae general already knew of his existence he simply bounced up to him.

“You’re back!” The boy said happily.

“Yes. I am back.” Lilia responded back dryly.

The two then walked in silence before the boy broke the silence. “Is the war over?”

Lilia blinked. “I’m sorry?”

“Since you’re here not on a battlefield or anything that would mean the war is over.” The silver-haired boy said.

“That. Is an interesting conclusion you have.” Lilia noted. He knelt down to look at the boy directly in his eyes. “Tell me what do you think when you hear about war?”

“Uh, I know it’s bad. It’s like a long argument right?”

“Something like that. In war, you can have truces between periods of time and then resume the fight to win over something.”

The boy scrunched up his face. “That sounds complicated. But you’re here now so I wanna know more about you now!”

This child of man really did have a short attention span.

“Well I am a fae.” Lilia said.

“But what’s your name?” The boy asked curiously. “I’ll tell you my name! It’s Silver!”

“Is your name Silver because of your hair?” The fae general asked.

Silver thought about it and shrugged. “Maybe.”

“Most fae don’t reveal their name you know.” Lilia said.

The boy’s expression dropped. “Oh. Mr. Bat!”

“I’m sorry?”

“Mr. Bat. Your new nickname until I get to know your real name. You remind me of a bat.”

He was surprisingly close to what type of fae he was. “Fine. Call me that if you want.” He stood up. “Before you said you didn’t hate fae. Most children of man would be frightened by us fae.”

“You don’t look scary.” Silver answered.

‘You never would see me be truly scary until you're an enemy on a battlefield’ Lilia thought.

“I should go back before it gets dark.” Silver said after noticing how it was evening already.

“Alright. You are off now then.”

“Will I see you again?”

“Lilia?” Lilia blinked and looked to see Malleus looking at him. “You were staring at your food untouched for a while. Are you unwell?”

“Ah, no I’m fine Malleus. Just reminiscing.”

The former general never did answer the boy’s question but still saw him again from time to time. It was rather nice back then to have someone not revere him in awe or fear.

It was a shock to him when he learned of the boy’s demise of being killed by the other villagers just for interacting with a fae. The villages had seemed to think the boy would have been too far infected to be saved so he was killed.

Lilia thought back to the question the boy constantly asked.

“Will I see you again?”

He smiled.

He would see him again reborn and come to adopt him.

“I’m a twin”, Damian said one night. He could feel the narrowed eyes of his family drilling holes on his back in disbelief. Not that he could blame them. Damian had never so much as implied being raised with a companion, much less a sibling.

“I had a brother”. Damian paused to recollect himself. He had not said his brother’s name out loud in over 8 years.

“His name was… Danyal”. Damian hated the way his voice wavered, but he could not help it. Danyal was everything to him, his other half. Their heart beat as one and when one heart stopped beating, the other one died with it. At least until his family put his heart on metaphorical life support without ever realizing.

“Where is he now?” His father asked, voice filled with knowing grief and a hint of betrayal. It had in fact been 6 years since Damian first showed up on his doorstep.

“Up there”. All eyes shifted towards the specific star he was pointing to. “Right before he died, he promised me he’d guide me from the stars. Unfortunately, the stars are not visible in Gotham, so my brother is unable to be of much help unless I leave the city.”

“Your brother is Polaris, the North Star?” Tim questioned warily, most likely in attempts to not offend him. Damian was aware of how stupid it sounded, but Danyal had promised, and his brother never broke his promises.

“Yes. Danyal is with the stars now, just as he always wanted”

you’d think since dick was a mathlete hed b the number one guy to ask for help w math homework but actually he knows so much advanced math that the first time tim asked him for help with a simple geometry problem he pulled out his dusty ti-84 and started solving it in the most convoluted way that took an hour bc he was also just trying to relearn the math he hadn’t done in like 5 years. cue him screaming in frustration when he realized the actual way to do it would’ve taken him 2 minutes (tim asked him at the beginning if that way was right and he waved him off saying no) none of the batsibs can ask him for math help until they get to pre-calculus at least

i don't know the exact timeline for when ghilan'nain physically changed into what we see her as in datv, but im really attached to the idea that she didn't look like that before the veil was made. like she looked just like we saw her in solas' memory, untainted and with no extra limbs. her new form is the direct consequence of her fusing her body with anduril's blighted corpse after anduril's archdemon was slain and she died in the fade. she does not need to mourn anduril. anduril has become part of her greater whole. she would not be parted from her, even in death.

Constantine just barely opened his mouth before the kid turned on him, "Not you! You have terrible reviews!"

Bruce tensed as Lazarus green eyes locked on him, "How about you? You're the worlds greatest detective, right? I know you probably won't take gold as payment since Bruce Wayne is your sugar daddy, but I can offer up information on the Infinite Realms instead!"

Batman, calm and collected even as Green Arrow and Flash snickered from across the room, "Infinite Realms?"

Phantom grinned, "Is that an agreement? Cause Prince Psaro could really use your help. He has so many questions, and the answers may save his life. You want to save the life of a teenage boy surrounded by demons and monsters, don't you?"

Bruce stared at the teen, not looking away even with Constantine motioning not to agree, Bruce nodded.

And in a moment, they were gone. They reappeared in a grand hall with a ruby eyed teenager looking impossibly small from his place on the massive throne. Silver hair shined oddly in the light of the purples flames that danced in the sconces, making the boy seem more ethereal.

"Hey Psaro!" The white haired kid from before greeted, "I brought you a detective like you asked. Don't forget you have to teach me magic now!" The first teen vanished without a trace leaving Batman and what he now recognized as an angsty goth alone together.

As it turns out Psaro had many questions and offered to pay him a generous amount in gold each day.

Some of his questions include:

What kingdom was my human mother a princess of?

Why can't I remember key information from my childhood, such as my brothers very existence?

I was framed for the murder of all of the "Chosen Heros" loved ones. How do I prove im innocent before he comes to take off my head?

Why do Rose's tears shatter?

Is there a way to stop his younger brother from destroying the world without caging him or killing him?

Ect.

Bruce has his work cut out for him, but between the mysterious white haired kid popping in now and then to give him cryptic conversations, the team on litteral monsters he was given to defend himself with, and his access to royal libraries and vaults this might not be so bad
