honestly im majorly bummed i didn't continue n refine the mallgoth-emo-scene thing i dabbled in in middle school/early high school... like i understand why i didn't, i was continuously battling through multiple layers of emotional repression, undiagnosed untreated mental illness, was crazy sensitive to how i was perceived, struggling with The Gender, was living at either a household where we were all kinda assholes honestly and teased each other about everything OR a household where i was constantly walking on eggshells due to an emotionally reactive parent where money was tight and we live in an area where there isn't A Lot so my only option was rlly hot topic which was and is still kinda expensive. so. that kinda trailed off but know it's like... i miss it and i want to start incorporating that kind of style back into my wardrobe but things still remain. expensive. and we still live in an area where there isn't A Lot so my options are still pretty much limited to hot topic, which is honestly worse than it was when i was younger in variety

Since Gotham City is often set in Jersey, and NJ is one of those states where you can't pump your own gas, like. Before Batman gets an electrical car do you think he has to let some random gas station attendant top off the batmobile?

I'm imagining like Battinson brooding in the front seat of the batmobile, sad noir monologue in his head about crime, waiting for the gas station attendant to finish filling up the batmobile

Alternatively, campy early era Batman explaining to the viewer, "we have to allow someone else to pump the gas, Robin. That's the Law!" While they're illegal vigilantes

Like 1 in 3 gas station attendants are like "no dude, you're doing crimes (vigilantism) I'm not getting bagged as an accessory. Pump your own gas." And Bruce 100% does not know how the first few times bc he's Gotham born and bred and, crucially, the kind of rich boy who has a chauffeur most of the time anyway before his vengeance quest really gets underway.

Being brought up on a farm and only ever going back indoors to head right back out again for my whole life, the decreasing amount of insects has been extremely noticeable and it's been going on for years. Of course it's been worrying with the climate catastrophe, and once I became a beekeeper and learned more about my village's local flora it became even more glaring.

So imagine my surprise this year when there are more insects than I can count. Sitting on my porch (practically my room during summers) I'm noticing species I haven't seen since I was at least a young teenager, and there are more butterflies of different varieties than I even remember from my childhood!

There are so many bees flying around too, probably from the hives down by the old homestead buildings by the church and school, owned by the woman I know from the local beekeeper's association.

What's more is that this year there has been no drought OR flooding, so there are a lot more flowers blooming for longer, and everyone in my village as well as the surrounding villages are reporting a burst of activity in their hives... as well as higher activity from the wild bees and pollinators. For the first time in years it's starting to resemble the way it was when I was younger.

All that is to say, the climate catastrophe is real, and in my area it's causing a lot more violent thunderstorms... but oh my god all this reminds me why I persist despite the despair that tries to dig its claws in.

I may not be able to do major change on a global scale, but you can bet me and everyone here will at least try and support this little place. We can keep going in the fight against the municipality that wants to urbanize at the cost of our precious biodiversity, and we can continue to fight to keep out the cities that tries to enroach on us and get closer.

It is rare for villages in Götaland to remain this free from urbanization despite being nestled right in the middle of multiple major cities, and there's no excuse to destroy what little there is left of it down here in the south.

While this form of enchantment itself is highly advanced, the craftsmanship of the item is far less neat or complex than what might be typically seen in similar devices. It may have been made as part of training/practice, or as a hasty replacement for a previous tool that had broken.

so i tried to keep their general appearances/colors intact while adding some actual personality (because i think the main problem with the original designs is that they feel like extras, not side characters).

Red: Zabrak orphan who grew up on Tatooine. 18 years old, was a member of the local insurgent group around the end of the empire era. Has a combo blaster/interrogation droid arm. Speeder is a repurposed version of Maul's speeder from phantom menace.

Blue: Human raised in the non-Tatooine parts of the Outer Rim. 23 years old, known assassin who worked for Jabba. Uses a scavenged magnaguard-type electrostaff. Has basically a version of the mandalorian helmet visors built into his face. Speeder is an abandoned scout trooper speeder.

Yellow: Tusken orphan from the clans around the podrace area. 19 years old, became a bounty hunter after his tribe (and bantha) were killed by the Pikes to expand spice routes. Has a Vader-style chest panel and rocket feet. Speeder is a custom pod attached to one of Sebulba's engines, with attached rancor teeth and horns from his late bantha.

Green: Human who grew up on Coruscant, but family fled the Empire to Tatooine around A New Hope. 21 years old, originally worked as a local enforcer for various Hutts. Has super battle droid arm & leg attachments. Speeder is stolen from local nikto gang.
