i genuinely dont understand how gifsets and fanart get tens of thousands of notes the first month the media releases but a few months later it just gets a couple hundred. this isnt even about wanting more notes i just cannot believe you guys are moving on so fucking fast. its one thing if its a goofy sitcom thats not that serious but i have seen some of the most incredible, intellectual, truly life changing prices of art over the years and posts about them would get 40k notes right after release and maybe 200 max just six months later. how the fuck are you not thinking about it anymore. i will think about it for the rest of my life.

i have no stake in this whatsoever since i’ve never even watched good omens and absolutely 100% unequivocally think it’s a good thing that an abuser is seeing the consequences of his actions but i don’t really see the point in shortening the 3rd season? rewriting it so he doesn’t get money from it? yes absolutely, but if that’s the reason, why not delay the season and do a full six episode rewrite? or just cancel it altogether instead of an inevitable disappointing finale. he’ll still be receiving royalties from the first two seasons and whatever ideas they use for the episode plus whatever he’s already contracted to receive so making a short season feels like it’ll impact the cast and crew more than him; they won’t be paid for a full season of work that they were expecting to have in an increasingly unstable industry

i know ive said this exact same thing ten thousand times before but it actually boggles my mind that we have just sort of accepted "generational divides" and the resulting discourse. generations are not real on the population scale. there is no dividing year where one generation starts and the next begins. the closest you can get to this is specifically BABY BOOMERS. who were born during the BABY BOOM. because a huge large amount of people had children immediately following the second world war. thats it. since then there has not been another clear generational divide and the things you think are clear divides are probably divides between specifically your age demographic and specifically your parents age demographic. because that's what a generation actually is when we stop trying to form stupid little clubs. im no longer participating in the legitimization of these terms & if i see the word zoomer one more time i'll detonate the explosives

The stupid streaming service website has decided that I am forbidden from watching Ted Lasso, specifically. I have tried six times and every time there is some sort of critical error. Usually it just freezes but on one memorable occasion everything was in French and it wouldn't let me change the language preferences.

My mom is all out of good chill crimy shows like Midsomer Murders, Columbo and Poirot and is now endlessly doomscrolling through clickbaity articles and its making me concerned...I really need to find some good shows asap or I think its going to brainwash her. something to be said about the deeply dysfunctional and abusive but also tightly bound relationships and dynamics in it's always sunny in philadelphia. "shut up, charlie, i can talk to my son any way i want" says it all. frank traumatized both dennis and dee for their entire childhoods and then they end up stuck with him as a permanent fixture of their friend group when they're almost 30 and he stays with them for twenty years, and in that time he grows, he changes as a person, he becomes a surrogate father figure to charlie and mac, but at the same time, he becomes even more of a demented, morally corrupt person. he continues to mentally scar dennis and dee, showing them their dead mother's skeleton for the hell of it, but at the same time, he is part of their group. he's part of the gang. even when he stops being their dad, he's frank.

to be honest idc how people feel about a certain show getting cancelled because tbf the fandom is incredibly annoying and i get why you wouldnt like the show, whatever. i found it to be like fun and watchable and there was a lot of skill put into costuming which is sometjing i enjoy. anyways i get why people would be like “haha it got cancelled” but to me it seems like. maybe streaming services arbitrarily cancelling pieces of original fiction all the time might be like ultimately bad for art
