"They were the final arbiters of everything between themselves"
Q: Were you around when [John and Paul] started to get angry with each other? John Dunbar: Oh yeah. I mean, 'cause that was, uh, about Yoko, really. [...] Let me tell you what I can remember is Paul and John were the best pals, really, right? They spent all their time together and stuff, and they had individual lives. But in the end they were the final sort of arbiters of everything between themselves. Yoko completely took over John. I mean, Paul just really felt left out and just hated it, you know what I mean?

John Dunbar: (...) The Beatles always tried to protect and defend [Brian]. Back then, Brian's homosexuality was a terrible thing and kept hidden, probably because the Beatles couldn't have him as their manager [if it were known]. Paul once said to me, "There are always rumors about me and Kenny Everett, or that Cliff Richard and I were gay." I said, "The only rumor I remember is that you were dead." SG: I'd forgotten that he was dead. JD: Yeah, but he remembered instantly. I called him up at his farm in Scotland and I said, "Paul, I hear you're dead." He said, "Not true."

“My first move was to get a Rolling Stone as a boyfriend,” she confessed. “I slept with three, and then I decided the lead singer was the best.” Faithfull’s decision to leave her husband, John Dunbar, was reached with equal, clear-headed ease. “I went with the one who had the most money,” she said with a shrug. “And that was Mick.”

"APPLE" Yoko Ono / 小野 洋子 (Japanese, 1933) The Indica Gallery // November 8-18, 1966 [Plexiglas pedestal, brass plaque, apple | 114.3 × 17 × 17.6 cm]
Apple was displayed along with Ceiling Painting as part of Ono's autumn 1966 show Unfinished Paintings And Objects at John Dunbar's Indica Gallery in London. The day before the opening of the show, John Lennon of The Beatles visited the gallery.
And then he saw the apple. You know, he didn't say anything. He just grabbed it and had a bite in it. Apple was a fresh apple on an installation like this. And he just grabbed it and bit it and looked at me like, you know, "There!" you know? I was so furious, I didn't know what to say. And it all showed in my face: How dare this person, you know, mess around with my work? So he just said, "I'm sorry", and just put it on the stand again.

New Scotland Yard: The Money Game (2.10, LWT, 1972)
"Incidentally, I've been looking up that fraud case Audrey was involved in with Freddie Larch, the time he got nicked."
"Oh, what about it?"
"Well, I think your friend's an even nastier piece of work than we give him credit for."
"Very likely. What's that got to do with Phil Horden?"
"Not much. Except nothing's ever quite as simple as it looks."

Every time I left the house I would spend an absolute fortune. Sure, I kept the house going but everything else I made — and I made a lot of money — I spent on myself. I was mean and I was petty when it came to money. John was running an art gallery and when it went bust, I didn't lift a finger to help. I didn't behave like a human being at all. I was a shopping addict. My first really serious addiction.
