Since I did one for my first farmer, I obviously had to do one for my second. We don’t play favorites in this house (except we totally do, I love her sm)
Her name is Jeannie, and she’s a half vampire on her dad’s side. Other than her appearance, vampirism hasn’t really affected her life that much, she just has to deal with a mild garlic allergy and getting sunburnt real easy. She also ages a tad slower than a normal person, but she does still age
#i admittedly got a little tired of working on it so it’s kinda half finished#sorry about that#but that means I get to move onto drawing more Mr Qi#I’m still really salty abt not getting to marry him#at least I have krobus#also. kinda torn between picking a father for her#idk if I want her dad to be the count from Sesame Street or Nosferatu#tbh I didn’t know she was a half vampire until I started drawing her because I felt the need to justify her purple skin#I didn’t want her to be a full vampire tho bc#ya know being a farmer in the sun all day might be bad for her health#anyway#sdv#stardew valley#my art#sdv farmer#my oc#sdv mr qi#Mr qi is hard to draw dude. learning abt friendship decay and "not reaching out to your friends for months at a time unprompted is not neurotypical behaviour" has me feeling a certain way
#experiencing some BIG FEELINGS OVER THIS REVELATION#listen i have never ever been bothered abt not seeing someone in a while or making time to talk to them bc in my mind its like not thst muc#time has passed. i mean it with every fibre of my being that when im like 'oh its ok even though we havent talked in a while and have our#own things going on it doesnt mean we're not friends anymore since we left things on a good note 8 months ago' i sincerely believe that#and for the longest time i just thought everybody makes peace with it at some point and not automatically assuming the other person doesnt#wanna talk to me anymore or smth. my longest lasting friendships are with ppl who work the same way i just thouhght that was normal#whatever organ everybody has that makes them reach out to their friends and plan hang outs i probably dont have it#i was already hesitant to ask out Alex bc i spend almost every waking hour doing smth that isnt talking to ppl unless they happen to be in#the vicinity. and at first it was bc i planned on making sure i had everything set up so i dont get stressed out and do it one at a time#but then i find out theres a friendship decay mechanic? and after dating and marrying someone you lose -10 friendship points for every#day u dont talk to them?? actually ive probably been losing friendship points this whole time without knowing bc of this?????#and i notice a lot of my own habits are also reflected in how i play bc ive been avoiding getting close to pierre and marnie since its more#of a professional relationship. like i know theyre npcs but im approaching it the way i would in real life its fucking nuts#i think its a little relieving im playing /as/ a character than myself bc as im playing im just making up little interactions in my head#than approaching things the way i would myself so it takes a bit of the stress off trying to put myself in there as a spectator. but well#being in a relationship demands a certain amount of energy even more so when theyre things that already take up energy on its own#like making time to talk to your partner and make sure they know theyre loved. i dont always have energy to put all my mental focus into it#and this is true for real life so im not really bothered by not dating anyone. but when its a game and i want my character to be with someo#and i know its fully optional and i know i could just apply the same logic to this i dont /want/ to. sometimes i want to experience#the same things other people do at least to a certain degree without the same emotional andmental stakes#no offense krobus#yapping#stardew#stardew valley#puppy plays sdv#sdv#this game has me by the ankles man

OKAY here's part 2 of the "how the stardew marriageables would feel to hug" once again will be in alphabetical order !!
bachelorette version HERE
the bachelors (and krobus)
alex: alex loves working out and is obviously very strong. with this in mind, i think he'd be another person who accidentally hugged far tighter than he meant to. his hugs feel like sitting in a reclining chair - like one of the demo ones at a furniture shop. despite how tight he hugs you, you find yourself relaxing into him. plus, i just think it would be nice to bury your face in his chest, alex gently rubbing the back of your head and you telling him about your day. i think alex would smell like leather and maybe musky cologne. a bit more overpowering than the rest (his smell literally latches onto you, your clothing, or even the air around you.) it's not a bad scent tho, just very "masculine" in a way?
elliott: elliott's hugs are lovely! i imagine he has the softest hugs of all the marriageables (likely do to the copious amounts of skincare products/lotions he purchases, but that's just an added bonus.) hugging elliott would feel similar to hugging a silk pillowcase: nice, soft/gentle, and an overall enjoyable experience. elliott's hugs are the perfect "i just want a simple hug right now" kind. i imagine he'd enjoy wrapping his arms around your waist and complimenting you as the two of you hugged. elliott probably smells like an inkwell, with some pomegranate and maybe some ginger (and the ocean, of course!) very light and fruity (honestly you might steal his cologne a time or two.)
harvey: the man who brought this entire spiel to life.. harvey definitely gives the best hugs. his hugs feel like being wrapped in a comforting blanket or feeling the wind gently blow across your face as you sit outside and watch the sun set. i've mentioned this before, but i think harvey loves back hugs. something about having his arms wrapped around you, drawing small shapes on your stomach, and gently kissing your cheek just draws him in. i imagine harvey smells like coffee, a warm chocolate cake, some sandalwood and fresh pine. his hugs are perfect for when you both need to unwind after a stressful day. something about them (maybe it's his doctorly aura) makes your body feel calmed, like it's being healed in a way. legend says that harvey's hugs tend to have healing properties so 👀
krobus: he doesn't exactly have arms, so hugging you back isn't an option. at least not physically, that is. he somehow manages to transmit the feeling of hugging you into your mind and it causes your skin to tingle. however, if you were to actually hug krobus, i imagine it would feel similar to hugging a stuffed animal or a mystical cat. i imagine krobus would be very soft (possibly fluffy!) and his little wisp at the top of his head would rest against your shoulder. as for smells, krobus is a bit difficult. (obviously, coming from a life in the sewers, it's not going to be the greatest thing to smell) HOWEVER i imagine he would smell like black cherry or the "black ice" car air freshener.
sam: oh sam gives amazing hugs. unlike alex, sam crushes you on purpose. he's just very excited and full of love - he needs to share it by squeezing you until you pop! (not literally, of course). i think it's primarily a case of "cuteness aggression" where he just gets so overwhelmed with positive emotions from seeing you that he has to let them out by hugging you tight enough to crack a rib. you don't mind though, and even joke that he could take up practice as a chiropractor because, after hugging him, your spine always seems to become board straight. i imagine sam smells like strawberries, soda, and the beach, maybe a slight hint of desert mist. i like to imagine he also uses his height to an advantage and often picks you up when he hugs you, probably spinning you around as well.
sebastian: another one who i don't think is much of a hugger, especially if he doesn't know you that well. if he does warm up to you, though, he prefers side hugs or he prefers to be the one being hugged, not the other way around. full contact hugs always result in awkwardness and he'd rather avoid that. his hugs are a bit "colder" in a way and usually are finished within a few seconds. it's not that he doesn't like you, he just isn't a big fan of physical touch. however, if you decide to hug him, he will happily lean against you for as long as you want him to. if you drape your arm around his waist and let him lean into your side, his head on your shoulder, he may end up falling asleep. (yoba knows he needs it...) i think sebastian would smell like the outdoors: like a smokey campfire, like peaches, like the crisp, fall air, and faintly like motor oil.
shane: oh another amazing hugger. shane's hugs are very pillowy and sweet, also slightly addictive. it's very easy to sink into him and enjoy the moment. on the other hand, i feel like shane also enjoys being hugged. he loves having your arms around him, your head resting against his chest or shoulder (or in between his shoulder blades if you're back hugging him, this one's a real favorite). bonus points if you trace shapes onto his stomach or lower back, he goes crazy for that sort of thing. (but he'll never admit it, obviously). i like to imagine shane smells like cherry cola, maybe something outdoorsy or something light (ie body wash or soap). i don't think he would go out of his way to make himself a certain way. however, i do think it's hilarious that he has that line of dialogue where he's like ""Sniff*... *sniff*... mmm... what's that wonderful fragrance you're wearing? Eau de pepperoni?”" <- goober.

Cant help but notice krubus stardew in the requests,,, so if i may,,,
How about a oneshot/headcanons, whichever ya think works better, for a farmer Reader who's roommates with Krobus, and Shane ends up visiting the farm, and accidentally finds Krobus and the reader is trying their best to calm the situation down or smthn? :]
Ofc you dont have to do this!!
Salt anon (have a good day also!!! always lovely to see ya on my dash :] )
YES MY TWO FAVES <3333
Got carried away but I had so many ideas for this one
.......
'I should check the coop. The void chicken could be hungry, and [y/n] may appreciate me stepping up. But...what if a human saw me? Oh Yoba...I hope there's no surprise visitors today..'
As Krobus paced around your cabin, he kept looking outside the window at the snowfall, the coop just within his sights. It was the second day of winter, and all of the animals you've been raising were huddled inside for the season, the hay keeping their bellies full.
But something told him that the void chicken you recently introduced to the farm felt lonely, a misfit among the "normal" chickens. She wasn't too sociable around them, and that worried Krobus.
Of course he, of all people, could understand why.
To this very day, the shadow monster couldn't fathom why you'd take him into your home..when his existence alone scared humanity and could damage your reputation with the town.
What would the villagers think if they learned you're housing a beast who once dwelled in the mines?
Many weren't anywhere near as brave as you were when it comes to venturing deep into shadow monster territory....and the few who had the guts to made it their personal mission to slay as many of his people as possible.
Or at least..what remained of them after the elemental wars.
Surprisingly enough, some of the brutes began visiting your farmland at night, and Krobus would see them hiding in the foliage, behind trees..or even rummaging through your crops, yet never taking anything for themselves.
He wishes he could greet them normally, ask what drew them to the surface, or try to reason that you're a good human who shouldn't be attacked.
Yet in the back of his mind...he feared being branded a traitor for siding with the species that hurt so many of his own people.
What would they do if they noticed his pendant and realized a human gifted it to him?
Surely they would freak out, coerce him into coming back to the mines where it was "safe"...or worse, they'd kill you and make him watch. He couldn't let his presence be known, lest they discovered you were housing him and destroyed the life you built here.
You would think he betrayed you and brought a siege upon your land--after all you've done to shelter him from the cruelty of the world.
Not even Yoba would forgive such a sin.
Even though he felt his connection with his people drifting with each passing week, he was content with his choice to live with you. He wouldn't trade your kindness and generosity for the world.
Plus, you've told him over and over that you knew what you were signing up for. You knew it when you first bought a void egg from him. You knew it when you and the wizard broke up his fight with Dwarf. You knew it when you created a space in your home that suited his environmental needs.
All he could offer you was a stardrop in return, but it was more than enough for you.
Krobus vowed to contribute to the farm's many tasks how ever he could..when it safe for him to step outside of course.
On this cold winter's day, he figured checking out the coop would be a great first step.
He peeked into your bedroom, discovering you to be sound asleep and looking rather peaceful.
Indeed, it was a stark contrast to how battered and bruised you were last night, having returned from the Skull Caverns at midnight. None of his people ventured there, considering the desert climate would be unbearable for them to live in, but while sharing meals he'd listen to your tales of serpents, mummies, and even dinosaurs living down below.
By comparison..the monsters in the mines seemed tamer and were somewhat civilized, and at his request you managed to avoid fighting them if you could.
The beasts you encountered in the Skull Caverns were brutal and unforgiving, and you had no choice but to defend yourself.
This trip in particular took quite a toll on your body, as you had to use a warp totem to get home...and even then, you were limping from sheer exhaustion. So much so Krobus had to assist you up the stairs and into your bed. He ran the the risk of being seen, yet his concern over your health took priority.
Sleep didn't easily come for him, but it only did after he prayed and thanked Yoba for bringing you home.
He didn't like the idea of you pushing yourself to work so early in the morning, so he decided he'll help lighten that load.
Starting with the coop.
Opening the door, he breathed in the crisp winter air, relieved to not see any humans in sight. There was your pet, who was initially frightened by his sudden arrival, but now warmly greeted him as they climbed the steps.
Krobus laughed softly, crouching down to pet them. "Good morning, little one." He whispered. "Enjoying the snow? I like it very much..but I can't say our chicken friends will agree."
He stood and continued on his way to the small building, eager to check up on your animals and see to it that they're fed.
But unbeknownst to him, a human arrived onto your farmland at that same moment, only seeing a dark figure creeping into the coop.
And he just so-happened to be the man who cared for chickens more than life itself.
......
Shane arrived at your farm, holding a small envelope with a letter inside. It contained a recipe for some dessert--not one that he made or discovered, of course, but rather one he tore out of a magazine.
His first thought was of you, knowing you liked gathering fresh produce and made your own meals..compared to him, a lazy bum who microwaves processed garbage in a plastic dish and called it "dinner."
It wasn't much, but it was the least he could do for a friend who pulled him out of such a dark place..
You were taking a shortcut to the sewer when you found him near the cliffs...where he was truly at his lowest. He doesn't remember much of what he said, but you told him that he considered ending his own life, yet changed his mind after you told him some comforting words.
All the strength you've gained down in the mines allowed you to drag him to the hospital, where you stayed by his side the entire night. Even when Harvey assured you he'll be okay, you refused to abandon him.
Shane never thought anybody in this town would care if he just up and disappeared, yet despite his rudeness towards you...you managed to break down his walls and show him that you cared.
And all it took were some peppers, pizza, eggs, and stupid amounts of persistence.
It really hit him that he almost did something he couldn't reverse..and he never wanted you, Jas, or Marnie to see him get that bad again.
So he promised to make some serious changes, see that counselor Harvey recommended to him, and cut back on the hours he spends at the saloon after work.
The last time you both talked, you mentioned Robin upgrading your coop's space, and Shane was thrilled. So he figured he'd come visit and see how the animals were doing in this cold weather.
He was also curious about that "void egg" you got from a merchant...and he wondered who it was if not Marnie.
Obviously he'd feel like a jerk if he came emptyhanded, or awkward if you weren't actually home right now, thus he decided to bring the letter and recipe just in case. A small surprise "gift" for you to come back to later.
As he approached your mailbox, however, he noticed a dark figure opening the door to your coop. He couldn't tell who it was as they quickly went inside, as though afraid of being seen.
Maybe it was the lack of sleep making him see things, but-
"Huh? What kinda tracks are these..?" He looked down, finding footprints in the snow that didn't belong to any human's.
In fact, they seemed to have clawed toes..
Just like a monster's.
At the saloon, you recounted tales of how you've encountered slimes, plant monsters, bats, and even shadow creatures on your farmland at night--as well as your adventures down in the mines with skeletons, ghosts, and more.
Most of the regulars were 99% certain you were drunk, but others believed your stories and were fascinated by them, as you'd show them gems as proof of your excursions. Sebastian in particular was intrigued by the frozen tear you discovered, flattered that you allowed him to keep it.
Shane, on the other hand, merely dismissed your tales with a "buh" and an eyeroll before sipping away at his beer. He was never a strong believer in the supernatural..convinced that only slimes, rock crabs, flies, and bats dwelled in the mines and nothing else.
Living Skeletons? Metal Heads?? Shadow Shamans???
You HAD to be either drunk, on drugs, or both at the same time.
Although he's become more open-minded to your stories since befriending you, he was still skeptical...yet the footprints he was seeing in the snow didn't match up to any animal he knew in the valley.
Whatever it was, it must've figured out that your coop was an all-you-can-eat-buffet.
That thought alone made him break out into a cold sweat, picking up a stone before rushing towards the building. He didn't hear any noise inside, and that made him all the more concerned.
You helped him when he needed it most, and now he'll repay you by defending your chickens...even though he knew nothing about fighting monsters.
Upon opening the door, he was stunned to find a shadowy humanoid creature holding your void chicken in its arms. It had a goopy smile on its face, looking down at the bird-
Before there was a furious shout.
"HEY! Put that chicken down!"
.........
"HEY! Put that chicken down!"
Just as you were tuning into the Oracle's channel on TV, you were startled by the sound of Shane yelling at someone-
Wait..
'What's Shane doing on my farm? And at this hour, too?? I thought he sleeps in all the time..' Your eyebrows furrowed as you looked around the house.
"Krobus? You in here? I may have a visitor."
No response.
You checked the monster's room, and sure enough didn't find him in there.
Normally he'd freak out and hide beneath your bed if he even caught a glimpse of a human outside. You'd always tell him ahead of time if a friend was coming to visit just so he knew when and how long to stay hidden.
Of course, you never liked having to keep Krobus a secret, yet you understood why he believed that was for the best. He was so, so afraid to go with you even after gifting him the void ghost pendant--a precious amulet from his culture, symbolizing unity and devotion to another.
His worst fear was you being shunned and getting hurt because of him. But you promised to make things work, and so far you've had no problems.
The only other place he'd go besides your cabin was the coop, having grown fond of the animals there and the void chicken you were raising. The winter allowed him to bond with them.
But if he's there right now..and you just heard Shane yell, then-
'Oh fuck.'
Throwing on your boots and jacket, you rushed out the door, damn near slipping on the pathway to the coop.
You opened the door, finding Shane staring down your terrified roommate with anger, ready to throw a stone at who he believed was a monster trying to eat your livestock.
But as he reeled his arm back, he was confused by your hand grabbing his wrist. "Huh?! Hey! Let go!" He grunted.
"Shane, what the hell are you doing?!"
For a moment, he blinked and stared at you as though you had several heads. "What does it look like? I'm....that thing was trying to eat your chickens!" He pointed to Krobus, who was now curled up in the corner, having let go of the void chicken long ago.
"That's one of the monsters you were talking about, right? Don't you have a sword or something that could-?"
"He's not a threat."
Shane froze. "..huh?"
"His name is Krobus. He's a shadow person I met in the sewers." Letting him go, you opted to stand between the two. Krobus immediately got up and latched onto your shirt, hiding behind you for protection.
"The sewers? Jas and Vincent said they saw a monster through the grates, but I thought it was some imaginary friend."
"Well news flash, he's real. And right now he's more scared of you." You huffed. "Now please..put the rock down."
After some hesitance, he complied and dropped the stone. "Fine..sorry. I thought it--he was trying to-"
"I would never harm one of Yoba's precious creatures!" Krobus snapped, despite his voice trembling. "Especially not one that [y/n] so lovingly raised."
"You...understand what I'm saying?" Shane looked astonished.
"Of course.." The shadow monster calmed down a little, but redirected his anger to you. "You..we had an agreement. You promised to tell me if someone was coming."
"I didn't know he was here at all." You frowned. "You could've told me you were checking out the coop."
"But you were so weary from last night, and I thought you'd appreciate sleeping in-!"
"Look..if it helps, I can just leave and pretend none of this ever happened."
Both of you looked at Shane, who was slowly making his way to the door, only for him to stop as you sighed.
There's no way you could hide this now..
"Stay. This isn't something you can "pretend" never happened. Let's all head back to my house and I'll explain everything. Maybe we can come to an understanding without any violence. Whatdya say, boys?"
Shane and Krobus briefly glanced at each other, before silently nodding.
.........
"So basically...you got chased out of your home by Dwarves, had some great war with them, got cozy in the sewers...and [y/n] just...stumbled upon you?"
"Erm..slight correction, the local librarian had a key to the sewers, which [y/n] obtained. And only then they stumbled upon me-"
"After I donated like 60 artifacts to the museum, of course." You added on as you stood by the oven, watching the timer.
For a brief moment, you looked back at the two people sitting awkwardly at the table:
Shane, who was still wondering if the shadow monster sitting across from him was really a monster, a hallucination from his withdrawals, or just..someone in a SUPER convincing costume.
And Krobus, who stared at this scruffy, tired man who desperately needed a shave and a new jacket--the only other human he's spoken to aside from you and Rasmodius.
"Wow..I'd say I need a drink, but um..I'm in recovery right now. So I gotta cut back on those." Shane admitted, scratching awkwardly at his hair. "Do you like living on this farm with [y/n], Krobus?"
"It was...a difficult transition. Something I never expected to happen." He fidgeted with the pendant around his neck. "Our existence..terrifies humans. They attacked us when we came to the surface to make peace, so we stopped and hid back underground. We learned the world wasn't kind to those who were different. But [y/n] showed me that not all of them are like that...and I'm grateful for all they've done for me. I don't regret my choice.."
Then he looked to you, suddenly bashful. "A-As long as they don't regret it, of course..sometimes I feel like all of this is a dream. Or some foolish prank.."
"It's no dream or prank, Krob. I have no regrets becoming your friend." You smiled and patted the monster's head reassuringly, before glancing at Shane. "Just like I don't regret befriending this guy."
"Yeah..I was uh..in a pretty bad place myself." He mumbled, suddenly finding the weather outside more interesting.
"You said your name was "Shane", right?"
He blinked, looking back to Krobus. "Uh yeah?"
"Did you know that means "gift from Yoba"?" His eyes lit up, smiling from ear-to-ear as he clasped his hands together. "You should be proud of it! You are a blessed child of.....um...what's with that look?"
Shane's expression abruptly shifted to one of discomfort, and he couldn't help but shrink back. "Did..I say something wrong? W-Was I out of line?"
"No, no. I probably should've mentioned this sooner, but I'm actually atheist."
"....as in...you don't believe in Yoba?"
Reluctantly, Shane nodded and averted his gaze once more, expecting some kind of lecture or change in his friendly tone that would make this his first and last conversation with him.
Nobody liked it when he mentioned how he stopped believing in Yoba long ago, especially after what happened with Jas' parents and how his life just plummeted into a downward spiral since then. He feels like his name was cruel joke, and he had a pit in his stomach whenever he was reminded of it.
So now he was fully expecting this devout monster to spew something vile and call him a "horrible nonbeliever"-
"Why the guilty face?"
"..wha?" He did a double-take, seeing Krobus' smile return.
"I've observed humans long enough to understand their religious preferences, or lack thereof. We have our beliefs, and you have yours..and that is okay." He reassured. "No need to feel ashamed, Shane."
It took the man a few moments to process his words..before a small smile appeared on his face as well, shoulders less tense than before. "Whew..thanks. Seriously..you're somehow more understanding than all the people in my life." He chuckled dryly.
Krobus was about to respond, when the ding from your kitchen timer made the two pause their conversation, seeing you take something out of the oven.
It was a dessert that had a shimmering purple hue.
"Oh hey..you actually made it?" Shane blinked. "The infamous "Strange Bun"?"
"Yep! It actually looks pretty.." You smiled, setting it on the stove so it could cool down. "I almost don't wanna eat it...but I'm sure we can split it three ways."
"I recognize that dessert." Krobus gasped. "It's considered a delicacy among my people! How I've longed to taste it again....but how did you come to possess its recipe?" He looked to Shane, who simply dug out a crumpled magazine page from his pocket.
"Right here. It looked good, and [y/n] likes cooking stuff and finding the ingredients themselves..so I figured it's something new they could try."
"And it came out fantastic." You chuckled, bringing over plates of the strange bun and sitting down at the table, passing them to your friends. "Dig in, boys."
While Krobus was actively drooling and devouring it with his bare hands, you took a few bites and instantly felt rejuvenated....whereas Shane kept awkwardly poking at it with a fork, eyebrows furrowed.
"You sure this is safe to eat? Like..I'm not gonna keel over, am I?"
"...you're acting like Jas when she doesn't wanna eat her vegetables."
".....shut it." With a grumble, he rolled his eyes before finally taking a couple bites. You and Krobus watched him in anticipation, studying his reaction.
Only to be met with disappointment.
"Eh..I think I'll stick to frozen pizzas, but thanks. Here. It's all yours." He pushed the half-eaten bun towards Krobus, who gleefully finished it up.
"Thank you..this was delightful." The shadow monster swallowed, looking up at you both, frowning slightly. "But I do fear..now that one more person knows of my existence, word may spread to the town and-"
"I won't tell anyone."
"....really?" He looked at Shane, surprised.
"I used to not believe in "shadow people"..I actually thought you guys were just stuff of fiction. But no, you're actually pretty cool. And...I get that feeling of being stuck in a dark place, thinking you're a pest and a burden who has no future to look forward to. It sucks, but [y/n] here..." He paused and gestured to you with a smile. "They pulled me out of that funk, and it seems they'd pulled you out of one, too."
"They have..I-I find this hard to believe, but it seems we have more in common than I first thought." Krobus chuckled softly. "I'm glad we could come to an understanding, and that you embrace my existence, Shane."
"Yeah, uh...glad you can..embrace mine as well." He mumbled, already kicking himself mentally for how weird that sounded. "But tell me..you like caring for chickens, too? I saw that one with the black feathers and red eyes."
"Indeed, that is a void chicken! I've carried their eggs for ages, but the mines weren't suitable enough to raise chicks in. Then [y/n] showed me the coop, and now I know they're in good hands."
"Ah...did you wanna meet Charlie sometime? Or one of my blue chickens?"
"......chickens can be blue?" Krobus had such a starry-eyed look, as though he had just been told the secrets of the universe.
Meanwhile, you were just cleaning the dishes, listening to their conversation delve into chicken care, eggs, and more. And you could only smile, glad to see that your monster roommate was finally warming up to humans.
Only a select few will get to see him, as you didn't wanna compromise his safety...
But for now, Shane is the only one you could trust.

💫 Animal Crossing vs Stardew Valley💫
✨Pairing: non idol!Seonghwa x gn!reader ✨Prompt: You and your best friend Seonghwa argue about which game is better than the other. ✨Word count: 0.7k ✨Genre: fluff, best friends ☀️Authors Note: I definitely play way more Stardew Valley than Animal Crossing so had to get the help of my friend who's played AC way longer than I have to have some good materials for this one shot! Let me know if you liked it!🥰
"There is no way you prefer Stardew Valley over Animal Crossing New Horizon." Seonghwa said looking at you flabbergasted after you had confessed you preferred said game over Animal Crossing.
"Why wouldn't I prefer Stardew Valley over Animal Crossing?! Stardew has so much more gameplay and a storyline and it's so much more fun!" You argued back at him, he sat up straighter in the sofa the two of you were sitting in with his mouth hanging open as if he could not believe the words you had just uttered.
"No no no you're wrong! Animal crossing is much better, the villagers are super cute, you get to choose who stays on your island! You can't do that in Stardew! You're forced to have the exact same people as everyone else!" He said as he turned his switch towards you to show his villagers who were waving and just in general being cute.
"Well at least I don't need to restart or get a new switch if I wanna restart a new farm in Stardew! You have to delete everything if you wanna start a new farm meaning you'll have to delete all your memories and that's no fun!" You pout "And besides Animal Crossing don't have Krobus so that's automatically a minus point!"
"What the hell is a Krobus?!" Seonghwa asked making a face causing you to gasp and turn toward him almost offended he asked who Krobus is.
"He's a precious friendly monster! You have not seen his little face when you gift him an emerald! He's adorable!!" You defend the creature.
"Well do your villagers congratulate you on your birthday?" He argues back which causes you to let out an annoyed:
"No they don't."
"Hah! See! My game is superior! They sing a little song and do a little dance for you. Plus the visuals are much cuter than your game!"
"Hey! The visuals are really nice as well!!" You lightly hits his leg as he laughs.
"Besides Stardew stresses me out. I want to be relaxed when playing a game and yet there's a time limit every day, if I want to save I gotta go to bed and if I'm mining I get attacked by everything from crabs to slime monsters to bugs." He rants and it brings out a laugh from you.
"That's why Animal Crossing is slightly boring. There's no fighting, no action or adrenaline rush while playing the game! Plus Stardew has a storyline, your game is over once you earn three stars which is like what do you do after that?" You retaliate and you can see something click in Hwas head as his eyes starts looking a bit mischievous as he fights a smile.
"Well you know Sprout Valley is better than your game!" That caused you to gasp, there was no way he actually uttered those words to you.
"You take that back! You agreed last week when we played it that it was good but not as good as our favorite games!" You point at him and he's now wearing a Cheshire grin on his face
"I changed my mind" He singsongs, giggling at your flabbergasted face.
"Get over here!" You say pouncing at him to tickle him causing him to shriek trying to get away from you.
"Stooppp!!! Hahahahaha noooo stop it Y/n!!!!" He tries to push you off of him but hes unsuccessful of getting you off and stopping your attack.
"I will stop if you take it back and say Stardew is the best game out there!!" You smirk trying not to laugh at how he was turning red from laughing.
"Okay! OKAY!! Ahhhh you win!!! Stardew Valley is the best game out there!!" Once he had screamed that you stopped, laughing at him. Seonghwa looked as if he had been to war with his now tousled hair, beanie on the ground and shirt slightly tangled.
"See! I won." You say sitting back in your corner of the sofa looking like a cat who just got the cream. Enjoying your victory over Seonghwa who usually was the one who won these kind of arguments. Your victory did not last long before he wheezed out:
"I lied. Animal Crossing and Sprout Valley is leagues better."
"Why you little shit!" You said before lunging at him with a screech causing him to let out a scream of his own trying to avoid your fingers who were ready to tickle him again until he gave up.

Since ive been playing Stardew again, mainly thanks to Stardew Expanded, and have been on a Stardew kick in general:
How would the different villagers (base game, no mod villagers, with maybe the inclusion of Marlon, Gunther, Krobus and the dwarf maybe?) react to a cottagecore (actual) witch (wizard, spellcaster, whatever you wanna call this version of the farmer) who, while making artisan goods like jellies and mead, also makes potions and enchanted knick knacks that help people too?
Hewwo :D
As you can see, dear anon, I got rather... carried away with the question, so I apologize for the long reply. I hope you enjoy it, and thanks again for the ask! 💕
SDV townies react to the cottagecore wizard/witch!Farmer who, in addition to artisan goods, makes potions and enchants trinkets:
_________________________________________
Shane doesn't mind the home-brewed beer and hot peppers from the garden that the Farmer regularly treats him to, but doesn't need to be told about the trinkets and stinky herbal concoctions and other weird stuff. The chicken lover doesn't believe in that (even though he's facing a real wizard/witch), and he has pills for his hangover.
No matter how hard Marlon tried to talk the Farmer out of it and explain that they didn't owe him anything for his help (a.k.a. "how once again Marlon had delivered the unconscious Farmer home"), but the new member of the Adventurers' Guild was stubborn and left on Marlon's table a dozen life elixirs that they had brewed themselves, as well as a whole basket of fresh apples. Well, it was rude to refuse, but the old adventurer still wanted the Farmer to be careful in the Mines next time.
A good luck bracelet? Ha! Thanks, Farmer, but Alex doesn't need one. He's a real sports star (not yet recognized, but soon!), and he relies solely on his talents and muscles. Although, if an athlete knows Farmer very well, he won't turn down a bracelet. Although he's not superstitious, a gift from a friend as a token of attention really touched him. Not that he'll admit it out loud, of course.
"Will I be able to fly?! Or talk to animals? Will I be able to talk to trees too? Will I turn into a dinosaur? Or invisible? I'd like to become an invisible dinosaur!" Yeah, I guess it wasn't such a good idea for the Farmer to announce to Vincent that they were brewing potions in addition to farming. Who knew the boy would be so intrigued by the Farmer's activities, after all, where else would you see a Farmer who could not only make cheese, but also do magic things?
Jas is a pretty smart girl, and quickly guessed about Farmer's unusual talents. She promised to keep it a secret.... If the Farmer promised to show her those unusual black chickens. Given that the farm is not far from her aunt's ranch, Jas often comes to visit the hospitable Farmer, just to watch them conjure or make cheese. And for black chickens. So cute!
To be honest, Marnie is a little... confused. She doesn't really believe in magic and all, but one event has made her reconsider. The Farmer recently gave her an totem that they say protects her lovely chickens from forest predators (poor Marnie is still grieving over hen Matilda, who was stolen by a fox). Now foxes approaching the coop howl, as if wounded, when they see the totem and run away. A coincidence, or does the totem really work?
"Ah, fellow craftsman! Glad to see that the practice of the arts of alchemy and enchantment is still not extinct." Wizard knew from the beginning that Farmer was connected with the magical world, but even for him it was a surprise that the young talent could cast complex spells and brew potions. And most importantly, help the locals (well, or at least not harm anyone). Hm, he was just looking for an apprentice, and Farmer would be perfect candidate...
Leah isn't much into elixirs and talismans, but when the red-haired girl fell ill, the Farmers were the first to help and gave her some funny-smelling potions that made her feel better instantly. They also treated Leah to some homemade goat cheese and fruits. Witch or not, Leah was glad to have such a caring friend and promised herself to do something for the Farmer in return.
Even though Demetrius had no desire to offend or insult the Farmer in any way, the scientist will look very sceptical at the amulet the Farmer offers him for protection against evil spirits. And for all the spells that the Farmer shows, desperately trying to prove to Demetrius that they are real spellcasters, he will wave his hand, saying that it is all scientifically explainable. Farmer is levitating, the hell you mean scientifically explainable?!
Clint wanted to ask something about a love potion, but quickly silenced himself before the Farmer could hear anything. It would hardly be true love if you put that magic stuff in there.... What?! No, he didn't mean anyone in particular, they heard nothing! In general, the blacksmith doesn't care if the Farmer grows strawberries, enchants bracelets or practises fortune-telling.
Abigail has become a very frequent visitor to the farm. The violet-haired girl sometimes likes to sit in the Farmer's kitchen, helping or watching them make blueberry jam or pickled tomatoes. But most of all she is interested in watching them brew potions or just the way the spoons stir themselves thanks to magic. Abigail will also ask them to make her a elixirs taster ("Pretty please!").
Perhaps Lewis would have just politely ignored the Farmer's statement that they were a wizard and that they would be happy to help him and the people of the Valley with potions, but still the Pelican Town Mayor decided to try his luck and ask the Farmer one specific question. Hmm? Why did Lewis need a stamina potion? Erm, well, Lewis wanted to start doing, er... exercise, and- Never mind, forget what he just said, Farmer.
You know that look on some parents' faces when their little child hands them a craft made of dirt or leaves, and the adults try to squeeze out a smile and say what an interesting thing their kid made? That's what was on Jodi's face when Farmer gave her the gift with a proud smile. Thank you so much for the fresh vegetables, Farmer, and, umm.... What's with the skull pendant with the glowing eyes? "Luck pendant? Ahahaha, how nice, thank you!" (Jodi dies inside).
A small woven basket, containing some fruit or goodies, and a small vial of purple liquid.... Almost everyone in the Valley had received a gift from the unusual Farmer, and Robin was no exception. The carpenter doesn't know what's up with the "potion to cure diseases", but she's just glad that the Farmer has fit into their little community so quickly and takes care of everyone like family. Robin smiles genuinely and is already on her way home with peaches given by the Farmer to treat her husband and her children.
One day Haley is sure to drop by the Farmer's to visit and ask them to let her have a photo session of their farm. Because this place is sure to be a winner in Zuzu City's "All About the Country life" photo contest! Plus, the blonde-haired girl discovered the delights of rural life, and the Farmer themself turned out to be a very interesting person. But Haley can't stand the smell of the cauldron. Why would the Farmer have a cauldron in his kitchen?
For about an hour now, poor Maru has been racking her brains and searching medical books and scientific articles for any information about the ingredients that the Farmers, as they themselves claim, put in the "potion". It's phenomenal - a liquid that instantly cured Maru's burn on her arm! (the result of a failed experiment). Poor Farmer only wanted to bring the young inventor the cure and fresh strawberries, but ended up being showered with a mountain of questions from a exited Maru. "Magic? Witches and wizards? Nonsense!"
Kent had been standing by the front door of the farmhouse for some more than ten minutes now, keeping his eyes fixed on the broom that was brushing the porch steps by itself. Either his nightmares had made him crazy, or those pickled mushrooms the Farmer had treated the military man with (and given several jars of mushrooms as a treat to his family) were laced with some sort of hallucinogen. Farmer stepped out onto the porch. "Ah, I can use magic to make a broom sweep!" Apparently it was the mushrooms after all, Kent thought.
Did someone say pendants with stones that have magical properties? Or dreamcatchers? Then Emily's on her way! Nothing brings the blue-haired girl more joy than discussions about amethyst, that ability to enhance the wearer's intuition, or the positive emotion-filled bracelets she's made for her friends. Granted Emily has a slightly different field (and Farmer's pendants are enchanted for real), but she would be the one closest to Farmer's interest in making trinkets of all sorts to help others.
Oh, Gus knows well that if he needs the best quality produce for his meals, the owner of the Saloon can ask the hard-working and kind Farmer for help. Admittedly, at times he is a bit taken aback when the Farmer still offers him unfamiliar herbs and products that they have made themselves. "Moon salt", what is that? Seems edible, even delicious! Definitely going into his escargot.
"That's the ugliest thing I've ever seen in my life." Whoa, Pam, you don't have to be that blunt with the person you're getting a gift from. Yes, the bracelet may not have the most adorable look, but the Farmer is a spellcaster with experience, and this trinket will help bring Pam happiness, wealth, and- "Thanks for the mead and the parsnips, kiddo, but I'm not taking this creepy bracelet." Pam, don't be rude to the Farmer, where's your manners and gratitude?
Yoba, Harvey tries to be polite and patient, but he can't stay away when he sees Farmer offering other residents elixirs that, they say, will "instantly cure illnesses"??? He is a doctor, and has devoted years at university to curing people, while Farmer is engaging in, pardon his harsh words, quackery?! However, when the doctor is convinced that Farmer is a real wizard/witch, he quickly apologizes and goes into a crisis. Someone give this man a glass of wine or Harvey is about to freak out.
Oh, no, no, no, no! Pierre had already made a mistake once in his youth when he bought a "talisman that brings wealth and good luck" from a stranger who claimed to be a sorceress, but it turned out to be just a cheap glass craft. So he had to create wealth with his bare hands. The shopkeeper would refuse all the amulets offered by the Farmer, and the strange elixirs too. But to buy their homemade strawberry wine of iridium quality is always welcome!
When the Farmer had just arrived in Stardew Valley, Willy had once told them that he had an amulet against all sorts of misfortunes, which he had had to sell because the money was almost gone. The old sailor had already had time to regret it, but you can't bring back the past. Farmer remembered this moment, and out of kindness made a real sea amulet for Willy. And unlike the old one, this will definitely protect him from treacherous sirens or huge deep-sea monsters while fishing.
"So enchanting objects for each other is normal for humans?" Krobus had thought that only the Wizard had knowledge of the forgotten arts, but it seemed he had missed some details when he had studied the lives of the local people of Pelican Town. People usually don't do that? Oh, alright..
The amulet that Sebastian received as a gift from the Farmer looks so cool and creepy that Sebby has started wearing it with his everyday clothes. True, the young man was a little distrustful of the Farmer's words about the "enchantment" of this trinket. He was interested in all sorts of occult things, but was not sure about the magic. Farmer, in order to prove their words, gave him another "frog magnet" talisman. The next day, by Sebastian's surprised face and a dozen frogs jumping after him, it was clear that the local emo definitely believed now.
An enchanted pendant that allows you to see artifacts hidden from human eyes... That explains how the Farmers were able to find and provide Gunther with such rare specimens of forgotten civilizations. Did they make such an amulet themselves? Amazing! What? An amulet for him? Thank you very much, Farmer. Now together, the two of them can not only restore the local museum to its former glory, but also make it even better!
Penny doesn't know what the little bottle of liquid the Farmer gave her, but her flu is gone in just an hour after she empties the contents of the bottle. Thank you so much, Farmer, for helping the young teacher by giving her this medicine. "My pleasure, the elixir of healing diseases isn't that hard to make, the main thing is not to overdo it with the wolfsbane." "W- what?...." Penny didn't have time to ask again, as the Farmer handed her a basket of oranges and wished her good health, running off on their own.
Linus had time to show the young mage (yes, it's no secret to him that they have a magical gift) all the secret places to pick unusual berries and mushrooms. Because he knows that the Farmer will definitely use it in brewing elixirs to help people, and that can't help but please the good-hearted wild man. Plus, he has to say thank you somehow for that wonderful blueberry pie.
From the Farmer's window there is almost always the smell of delicious baked goods or the pleasant scent of flowers, and Sam, without noticing it himself, has begun to walk past the farm often. The young guitarist doesn't need to be told twice when he's invited for pie or maple donuts. Farmer is always happy to have guests, especially if the guests decide to brighten up their mornings with a beautiful music. "What's brewing in the pot?" "Elixir of immortality." "Cool. Wait, what...?"
"These leaves give the tea a rather unusual flavor. And I think I'm beginning to see... flowers in my eyes. Dear Farmer, are you sure you've worked the tea leaves properly?" Caroline, your tea made the Farmer's eyes see a white little man dancing on the edge of your mug. So don't go blabbing about the Farmer's homemade tea. They certainly know the basics of herbology and alchemy, and know how to brew the most complex elixirs. So don't even-
Given Dwarf's suspiciousness, they didn't take any medallions or elixirs from the Farmer at first, because it could have turned out to be a devious plan by the shadow people. What if there's poison in the bottle? Or the medallion reveals their location to the enemy? It takes a long time before they can trust the Farmer, and later they have something of a bartering relationship with potions (the Farmer gives Dwarf elixirs out of the goodness of his heart, but Dwarf insists that the Farmer needs to get something of equal value in return).
Hmm! Why would George want this useless trinket, even if it was free? So they could sit on a shelf and gather dust? Farmer, he doesn't believe in all that focus-pocus, so he doesn't need those strange and ugly bracelets and amulets that also smell weird. A spellcaster? Don't be absurd.
Farmers were so kind to come and visit, and they also brought some goodies: ripe berries, homemade cottage cheese... And they even brought George some ointment for his bad knees, how nice of them! And though it's not clear if Evelyn believes the ointment is magical, and if she knows that Farmers can cast spells and communicate with animals. The granny is just glad that such a kind and caring young person came to their house, and without cookies, which just had time to cool down, Evelyn will not let them go.
A lonely, city-weary man who had been hiding their magical talent was finally able to escape the suffocating clutches of a mega corporation to drop everything and move to the middle of nowhere where they could find their happiness and calling... Yes, Elliott is definitely sure that this would be the perfect story for his new novella. The writer was so taken by his own muse that he wasn't even surprised by the fact that the Farmers, in addition to caring for crops and livestock, can do magic and brew elixirs. Novella now, questions later!
Morris has absolutely no time for nonsense, why did the Farmer give him some strange liquid in a bottle? A cure for back pain? Very funny, but he wasn't born yesterday to believe that nonsense. Except that Farmer's curiosity and puppy eyes made Joja's manager take a sip.... And no more back pain! Hmm, interesting... Farmer, how about a contract to sell this miracle liquid?
_________________________________________
Note: I hope I didn't deviate from the main question because I couldn't decide if the people of Stardew Valley believe the farmer is a wizard/sorcerer/witch by default, or if some know and some don't? And how are talismans and potions even viewed from their perspective (Shane, at least, doesn't believe in magic, judging by the canon quotes). I'm open to feedback! 😃

So uh, I was playing Stardew Valley to destress, and then this happened. Hope everyone likes it at least!
One Piece Stardew Valley AU
Luffy
General:
Washed up on the beach in a barrel and mayor Lewis hasn’t been able to get rid of him since. One of the harder residents to track down because his schedule is entirely random, but he does have some places he goes to more frequently. These places include the Stardrop Saloon, the mines, the beach, and Linus’s tent. He is banned from the museum for dropping an artifact and breaking it. He gets along with most of the residents for being a generally likable and helpful guy. His favorites (besides other straw hats) are Linus, Krobus, Alex, and Abigail. Doesn’t get along with Lewis or Morris because he tends to make fools of them with his antics (and breaks stuff at JojaMart). Inexplicably, he can see and interact with Junimos. He also claims he can talk to them but it’s unclear if he actually can or if he’s just making it up as he goes.
Player Interaction:
Rocks up to your farm the day you show up because he didn’t know you were moving in and likes to hang out and forage there. After initially startling each other, he offers to help you clean up the place if he can have some of the food you grow. Agreeing immediately gets you a couple of hearts and now you’re friends, rejecting it makes him shrug and leave. If you mention needing certain materials, he will occasionally send some in the mail if he finds any, and will also send random things he finds. He very much encourages you to let loose and have fun instead of working all day.
Dating/Marriage:
He isn’t a marriage candidate, but you can ask him to move in like with Krobus. You won’t see much of him because he likes to wander, but he’ll help out around the farm before he peaces out for the day. His room is a mess with a hammock in it.
Zoro
General:
He was the last person to get a ride to Pelican Town before the bus broke, and now he’s stuck there. Everytime he tried to leave, he would just wind up back in Pelican Town, so he eventually gave up and accepted his fate. At least the mines give him ample opportunity for sword practice. Since he spends so much time down there, Marlon lets him live at the Adventurer’s Guild. He can be consistently found at the mines, Adventurer’s Guild, and the Stardrop Saloon, but he’ll also randomly show up in various parts of the map because he got lost. He isn’t very sociable, so the only people he talks to all that much are Marlon, Gil, Shane, and Kent once he shows up.
Player Interaction:
Your first meeting happens the first time you try to enter the mine. He’ll walk out of it and tell you that if you’re looking to do some monster hunting that you should come back tomorrow because he wiped out most of the mine. He becomes something of a rival for you in the mines, and there is a leaderboard of sorts comparing your kills to his. Having some competition really invigorates him, so your rivalry turns to friendship easily. He sends you monster parts in the mail since he has more than he knows what to do with. Once the bus is fixed, he’ll ask if you could take him to Skull Cavern. He tried to go by himself, but well, he somehow got lost despite Pam pointing it out to him.
Dating/Marriage:
The man has no idea what he’s doing and doesn’t understand why you gave him a bouquet, but he tries to go with it. If he does say something romantic, he becomes visibly embarrassed and you won’t be able to talk to him for the rest of the day. If you try to, you’ll just get a text box saying “...” with a blushing portrait next to it. After marriage, he’ll help out primarily by fixing whatever is broken and gifting you more monster parts. He leaves for the mines a lot. His room is full of workout equipment.
Nami
General:
An extremely elusive woman who makes sea charts. The hardest resident to track down because she’ll be gone for days at a time. Willy lets her crash at his shop on the days when she’s in town. She can be found in the Museum/Library, Pierre’s General Store, Carpenter’s Shop, and Cindersap Forest. Once Ginger Island is unlocked, you can find her there on the days she isn’t in Pelican Town. She isn’t around enough to be close with many of the locals, but has managed to make friends with Maru, Penny, Willy, and Leo. She dislikes Pierre because he won’t let her haggle with him.
Player Interaction:
She doesn’t make an appearance until day 5. She shows up at your farm to introduce herself and mentions that she’d love to buy food off you when she’s in town (you will make less money but this will raise your friendship faster). Every so often, she will give you a rare fish she found at sea, but this is uncommon. When you finally make it to Ginger Island, she’ll already be there and make a lighthearted jab about how ‘it took you long enough’. She’ll help you find golden walnuts if you bring her something she’s requested.
Dating/Marriage:
She’s flattered when you give her the bouquet, but also very surprised. You know that she’s gone a lot and won’t change that, right? You do? Oh, okay… Wanna get dinner at the saloon tonight? Your treat, of course. Despite what she says, she will stay in Pelican Town for more days now, but still does regularly leave for days at a time. She offers to bring you with her to Ginger Island when she goes, but you still have to pay. It’s half the price that Willy offers, but it’s one way so you’ll need a totem to get back. After marriage her room is filled with charts and related supplies. She helps out around the farm occasionally, but not often.
Usopp
General:
An apprentice at Clint’s shop (also lives there) who specializes in upgrading weapons. He started working with him as a teenager, and is ready to move on to other things, but lacks the nerve to make that final leap. When he isn’t working he can be found at the Adventurer’s Guild, Cindersap Forest, and lurking around outside the mines. He’s friends with the wizard, Marlon, Sam, and Leah.
Player Interaction:
When you walk into the blacksmith store for the first time, he’ll be in there and start talking big about how he’s the owner and makes the best weapons the world has ever seen. Then Clint walks in and he promptly leaves from the embarrassment of being caught in a lie. After that he’ll give you a proper run down of how he can improve your weapons for you if you provide the right materials. He can either strengthen it by increasing the attack, or enchant it with magical effects. Simply talking to him boosts friendship like crazy since a lot of people ignore him for being a known liar/exaggerator. Sometimes he’ll send materials in the mail along with a letter saying how it could really improve that sword of yours if you bring it in to him *wink wink nudge nudge*.
Dating/Marriage:
When you give him the bouquet, he takes it, stutters out random syllables, and then runs away. He’ll be on your porch the next morning to properly thank you and accept it now that he’s had a chance to gather his thoughts. He brags to everyone about the fact that he’s dating you. After marriage his room is filled with miscellaneous weapons and materials with some blacksmithing equipment outside. You’ll notice that nothing ever seems to break around the farm because he always fixes it before you can see it.
Sanji
General:
He’s a cook at the Stardrop Saloon, and also works as a personal chef for anyone that requests the service. His main customers are Evelyn and George, as well as Pam and Penny. He doesn’t charge Pam and Penny because they’re broke and he’s a pushover (he’s also trying his best to teach Penny how to cook). He can commonly be found at his clients’ homes, Cindersap Forest, the beach, and the spa. He’s friendly with all of the women there, but is noticeably closer with Emily, Haley, and Penny. Elliott and Sebastian are also friends of his.
Player Interaction:
The second you set foot in the saloon, he will be trying to impress you with one of his signature dishes while pitching his in-home cooking service. Gus scolds him for advertising his business at work, while Emily jokes that he’s flirting with the customers again. He hurries back to the kitchen after this. Like Usopp, your friendship will rise just from talking to him, but will also rise if you give him ingredients. He frequently mails you food he’s made and personal recipes. You can buy his services. It’ll show a cutscene of him cooking in your kitchen, plus you’ll get the recipe of whatever he made. Food made by him gives you buffs.
Dating/Marriage:
The man will straight up cry when you give him the bouquet and promises that you won’t regret choosing him. He acts like you’re already married with how doting and lovey-dovey he is, and he drops hints constantly about proposing. You’ll be getting food from him in the mail every single day while dating, and food directly from him every morning when you are married. Helps around the farm frequently. His room is full of bookshelves containing various cookbooks and romance novels, and also an herb garden.
Chopper
General:
Harvey’s apprentice, and has an interest in herbal remedies. He’s very young and new to it but is an extremely promising student. When he isn’t at the clinic, he can be found in the museum/library, Cindersap Forest, or poking around the Community Center. He can also see and talk to junimos. He’s good friends with Harvey, Maru, and Leah. He wants to be friends with the wizard but is intimidated by him.
Player Interaction:
Entering Cindersap Forest for the first time will reveal him foraging for medicinal herbs. He eagerly introduces himself and lets you know that you can buy herbal medicine from him at the clinic. They’re on the cheap side and can heal or prevent status effects. Buying his medicine boosts friendship, but losing all health and ending up in the clinic five times will cause you to lose a heart with him. He worries a lot, don’t do that to him. Expect to get a variety of herbs, fruits, and vegetables in the mail from him with notes about you staying on top of your health (these notes become passive aggressive if you recently lost a heart with him).
Dating/Marriage:
Not a marriage candidate for obvious reasons, and also isn’t available to move in with you.
Robin
General:
An esteemed archeologist working and living at the museum. She moved to Pelican Town because of the area allegedly being an archeological hot spot. She doesn’t stay in one place for very long (except when she’s reading at the library), so trying to find her can be difficult. She doesn’t move into the town until after the bus has been fixed and the quarry is unlocked. The day after both are completed, she shows up and makes her rounds introducing herself to the locals. She can be found at the mines, the quarry, the desert, and Ginger Island, but will also be seen wandering around the map looking for artifacts in unlikely places. While she is very new to the town, she still makes friends with Gunther, Sandy, Professor Snail, and Penny. She also gets along well with the children.
Player Interaction:
She’ll be on your porch when you leave your house the day she moves to town and introduces herself. After that, she asks for a tour of your farm and then if it would be okay for her to dig there occasionally. Agreeing gives you a couple of hearts to start with. If she finds anything on your property, you’ll get a cut of the profit. Every time you donate to the museum, she sends you a thank you note in the mail the next day. While you won’t be able to collect the things she finds first, she’ll give you rare crafting recipes once in a while in exchange. Good luck predicting what she’ll send you in the mail, it’s very random. You could get some food, a hat, some rocks, or even a bomb. She sends whatever makes her think of you, you’re just not sure you can follow her train of thought.
Dating/Marriage:
Receiving a bouquet leaves her speechless but happy once the shock wears off. She’ll say something about wanting to stay in Pelican Town a little longer anyway, and that she’s looking forward to seeing where this is going. Once you’re married, you get bonus items with your rewards for donations. Her room is filled with her most prized finds, books, and archeological supplies.
Franky
General:
A mechanic that’s aiming to fix up the train station and set the town up with its own personal train. He doesn’t show up until spring of year 3. He builds on an extension to the train station that he lives in. While he works extremely hard on the station and train, he does still find time to visit the town regularly. He can commonly be found at the Stardrop Saloon, the Carpenter’s shop, and the desert. He gets along well with most people, but he’s closest with Robin, Demetrius, and Mr. Qi. While Lewis appreciates that what he’s doing will help stimulate the town’s economy, he wishes he would put some pants on and be a little less… eccentric.
Player Interaction:
When you walk past the way up to where the train tracks are, you’ll hear a lot of noise. Going up there will reveal Franky hard at work repairing the station. Not long into meeting him, he’ll share his plight that while he wants nothing more than to fix this up, he’s really lacking the funds to do so properly. If you want the station and train finished, you’ll need to provide him with the building materials. This boosts friendship like crazy, and he’ll be singing your praise. Once everything is built, you can talk to Franky at the station to order materials in bulk to be delivered by the train. It’s all in large quantities, but it takes a few days to get there. He’ll mail you cola and random materials.
Dating/Marriage:
YOW! He wasn’t expecting the bouquet at all, but he accepts it nonetheless. The next day he will present you with a bouquet of his own creation that he made from scrap metal and some gemstones he had lying around. Will NOT stop hyping you up to everyone in town. After marriage he will give you a family discount on materials from the train. His room is more or less a tool shed and a place to put things he doesn’t use often anymore.

Comfort
(Sebastian(stardew valley) x fem!reader)
Comfort smut?? I got a little lost in the sauce with this one.
Your legs grew weaker as you ran. Shadow like creatures chased you endlessly through the tunnels of the cave. Your breath grew ragged, you felt like you had been running for hours. Unarmed and afraid, you thought you could keep going until you found an elevator. But they drew closer with every step. You could feel their claws lightly scratching the surface of your arms and legs before something managed to grab your ankle.
You fell and hit the ground hard. Looking back you saw the familiar face of a friend. His clawed hand gripped your leg tight, enough to bruise.
"Krobus? What's going on?" You rasped out. Still winded from the impact. He looked off, long claws almost punctured your skin, his usual friendly demeanor was long gone and when he spoke you couldn't help but notice his mouth full of sharp, rotten teeth.
"You should've never gone this deep." His voice was distorted and strained. "Now you'll never leave." He groaned as he melted into a pile of black goo. You tried to get up but started to sink into the floor. The same black goo your friend had just melted into was now the entirety of the cave floor. Your feet were the first to go. Black tendrils snaked up you body and desperately tried to pull you under. The panick set in and you cried for help.
"Please!" You sunk further and struggled to stay above the floor. "Help me!!" You sobbed. soon your whole body was one with the cave your head was close to submerging before you cried out one last time.
"SEBASTIAN!!!"
Your body was wrapped in a warm embrace. A soothing voice muttered above your form and a hand caressed your back. Your face was buried in someone's chest and by the familiar scent of cedar and cigarettes you knew exactly who.
Another nightmare, you concluded. Your body immediately relaxed as your wrapped your arms around your husband's torso. His t-shirt was wet with tears where he cradled your face. His hand drew unknown patterns on your back as you came to.
"Another nightmare?" He asked. You nodded. Ever since getting to the bottom of the caves and pocketing the skull key, you've had night terrors every now and again. Sometimes they were tame, but sometimes they were like this one. More intense. More realistic.
"It was about the cave again." You muttered softly into his chest. "Im tired of this."
A sad smile graced his features. He felt for you, he really did. After pulling countless all-nighters for the same reason he was glad he at least knew how to comfort you. Holding you in his arms always calmed you down.
"You're home now, you're ok." He comforted. You both stayed like that for a long while before you slowly made your way out of the comforting embrace he trapped you in. A puzzled look played across his features as he moved to release you. "Where you goin'?" He asked.
"I'm just gonna grab a water real quick. I'll be back." You smiled before leaving the room. Sebastian stayed in his position, his back was against the headboard and he proceeded to lose himself in his thoughts. What was causing you to have so many nightmares all of a sudden? His heart ached everytime you cried out his name in your sleep. At first he thought it was cute, hearing his name come out in a small mumble, your grip would tighten around him before calming down. But now they were worrisome. Occasionally waking up to you screaming his name or you sobbing at the edge of the bed by yourself. He knew you were exhausted. He felt like shit because he couldn't help you more. He wished he could just take all your pain away.
"Seb? Are you ok?" You asked as you came back in. Sebastians thoughts shown clearly on his face. He was worried, worried about what would happen if this keeps up.
He smiled at you none the less. "I'm fine babe. I should be asking you that question." He softly chided as you crawled back into your spot on the bed. You looked at him with soft eyes. He was always like this. Deflecting your concerns toward him back at you.
"I'm ok now, because of you." You said as you rolled on your side. He chuckled, one of the many qualities he loved about you was your ability to to bounce back from stressful situations. It was a charming quality that made him feel less anxious about things.
"Tomorrow I'm taking that stupid key to the wizard, maybe he can tell me what's up with it." You mentioned. "Im almost positive that's the root of my problems." You explained. Sebastian sighed in slight relief. He's glad you had suspicions of the key as well, he didn't want to suggest that it was the problem just in case it was too far fetched. But ever since you brought it home with you there's been nothing but bad juju around the house.
"I hope that he can help you out. I'm starting to get really worried." He admitted. "It seems like you're getting worse as time goes on, sometimes you scream like you're in pain." He explained as he scooted down the bed to a laying position. He rolled on his side to face you and propped himself up on his elbow. His hand lovingly caressed your cheek. His sad eyes looked at you, gently moving to comb his fingers through you hair. A lone strand escaped and he delicately tucked it behind your ear. You gave a content sigh. No matter how many years you'd been with sebastian, his touch still made your body feel like static.
Your hand came up to grab his, cherishing the feeling of his warm skin. You grabbed his hand that was just playing with the loose strands on your shoulder and brought it to your lips. You kissed the back of it and looked back up at him.
"I love you sebastian. As long as you're with me, I'll feel safe." You whispered. His concerned look softened.
"I love you too. I just wish there was more I could do for you." He said sadly. His hand came down to rest of your waist. You stared up at him for a second before an idea came to mind. Something that always took both of your minds off stressful situations.
"You could help me forget." You stated. He looked at you confused.
"Huh?" Was all that he could utter. You got up from your comfy spot and pressed on his shoulder. Gesturing him to lay on his back. You proceeded to sit in your usual spot on his pelvis. Both of your thighs were exposed and his warm hands didn't hesitate to grip both of them.
"You can help me forget.....you know how." You leaned down to whisper in his ear. His grip tightened a little at that. The scarlet hue you loved so much spread across his cheeks. Both of your arms pinned him down by his shoulers.
"Are you su-" before he could finish his sentence you ground your hips against his. He groaned at the contact and gave you a lustful glare. His erection pushed up against his boxers beneath you wanting nothing more than to feel your skin.
"I'm positive." You smiled. The only thing you wore were one of his t-shirts and your panties. Surely a sight for the beholder. One of his hands snaked under your shirt to play with your exposed nipple. You whined a bit at the contact.
"Sebby.....what do you want to do?" You offered. He thought for a moment before coming to a conclusion.
"I don't want you to do anything.. Just let me take care of you tonight. Ok?" He said as he changed your positioning.
You were now on your back. Your head rested on soft pillows and the silky comforter felt good on your now bare skin. Sebastian kissed a trail from the base of your neck to your inner thigh. His fingers massaged the sides of your hips as he made his journey.
Ecstasy. That's what he'd give you to forget about your troubles. Your loving husband was the only one that could provide you with this. To allow you to indulge in endless pleasures and forget about everything. Even if it was only for a moment. He'd make you whole again.
A moan pushed its way out your lips as sebastians slender fingers pushed themselves into your dripping core. They slightly curved up knowing by now just where to press to entice a cute reaction out of you.
Your hips arched into his palm trying to create more friction as pulled his fingers out agonizingly slow. You pouted. He brought them to his lips and locked eyes with you before sucking the juices off both of them. He seemed more confident tonight. You felt like you could melt with the way he looked at you. He gave a satisfied expression.
"Keep looking at me like that." He instructed. You watched as he positioned himself between your thighs. He had a vice like hold on one of your legs the other stayed on your hip. "Don't look away." He smirked before divulging himself.
You could feel his tongue lick gentle streaks from your entrance to your clit. The continuous motion made you skin feel hot to the touch. His hands spread your thighs open more allowing him more access to suck on it. Sebastian always knew just what to do when eating your cunt. Licking and sucking, the sounds he made were enough to make you cum.
Your hand instinctively grabbed a fistful of his soft hair. Keeping you grounded in reality and keeping the hair out of his face while he worked. You huffed and moaned. A coil in your stomach was about to snap. Just a little more.
"Fuuckk.... you feel so good." Your throaty praise reached his ears. Your free hand played with your own breast and you felt his deep laugh . He began to focus primarily on your clit flicking it until you finally came.
He held his head there for a moment, admiring how you were a gushing mess. Only he was allowed to see this side of you. The messy side. A part of you he never would have known existed had he not asked for it, one night years ago.
He climbed his way up your body and planted a wet kiss on your lips. Through half lidded eyes you could tell he wanted more. You were happy to oblige.
"You ready?" He teased. Pulling his boxers down just enough to expose his member. Thick and hard, you always wondered how it managed to fit inside you. He pulled you closer to him, kissing and biting at your neck as he slipped inside with little to no resistance. He made you feel so full, so satisfied and loved. Breathy moans filled the room, hands groped and nails dug into any flesh that it could. He pounded into you roughly. Wanting you to feel how much he needs you. His hand found its way to your neck and gave a gentle squeeze. Your walls clenched around him causing his thrust to falter before he finally came inside. You could feel his seed fill and spill out of you as he buried himself deeper. You both were a panting mess as your high came down. He pulled out and laid next to you, pulling you into his arms holding you close to his chest.
"I love you y/n....I'll never let anything hurt you." He muttered into your hair. You sighed, perfectly content as long as you were with him.
"I love you too... i know you won't." You said. You still needed to clean up but for now....
You'd rather just stay in this moment with him. For as long as you can.

i found a stardew valley character portrait maker (link here) which progressed into making Jules a lil profile!!! (template here if you wanna make your own) it was actually a really thought provoking exercise, trying to figure out what he'd like and dislike was difficult, but here are some reasons under the cut
Loves:
Pepper- Jules likes spicy stuff
Snail- definitely the type to crouch down and watch a snail move around for an hour or two
Duck Feather- since he spends so much time outside he definitely gathers little treasures like bird feathers
Nekoite- same reason as the duck feather essentially, also pink and sparkly
Fruit Salad- i think jules eats a lot of fruit tbh, not just because he's a big ole fruit himself. i think he'd like nothing more than chowing down on some fruit salad (yummy yummy)
Dandelion- similar to duck feather/nekoite, but he als just genuinely thinks they're pretty and loves making wishes on them
Honey- he likes sweet things :-)
Dislikes:
Beer- brings back the ~trauma~ from his childhood, also generally thinks it tastes bad
Caviar- he thinks it's gross and also doesn't like the whole connotation with the wealthy elite
Parsnip- icky
Seaweed- he hates being touched by it, it's one of his least favorite textures and deeply upsets him
Coffee- too bitter and icky, also reminds him of his dad
Pale Ale- same reason as beer
Friends:
Krobus- jules definitely loves the spooky little guy and finds him fascinating, he likes to listen to Krobus tell him about where he came from
Dwarf- Similar to Krobus
Bear- just like how he loves Teddy!!
Linus- I think they'd have a lot to talk about tbh, nature, simple things, living a nomadic lifestyle, etc
Sandy- I just think their personalities would mesh really well and they'd end up really good buddies

An unflattering assumption I have about every NPC in Stardew Valley
Sam: gave Gus a fake ID to get alcohol. Jodi never goes to the saloon and Kent is afraid he forgot how old Sam is, so he's never getting called on it
Sebastian: has ruined at least one online D&D group playing an edgy lone-wolf rogue with no parents
Maru: still brings up her SAT score in conversation sometimes
Demetrius: has the Neil deGrasse Tyson thing going where he assumes every field is easy because he's good at biology. Maru finds this endearing with her gadgets; he is banned from looking at Sebastian's code
Wizard: same as Demetrius but ten times worse
Robin: first marriage ended because she slept with the wizard (Sebastian is his). What can I say, she likes em brilliant, socially awkward, and just a little insufferable
Clint: you KNOW this man's on Reddit and you KNOW he does not have a healthy relationship with it. I am begging Sebastian to "fix some tech problems for him" (install a secret browser extension block on the manosphere subreddits)
Elliott: hair-trigger crier. Poems, books, the end of every rom-com, songs you do not think it should be possible to cry during, noticed the cat sleeping in a really cute way, remembers that he lives near the ocean... honestly he'd have a lot more written by now if his entire day wasn't taken up by crying and hair care
Willy: has lived alone too long, holds conversations with most objects in his house
Leah: has NEVER swept or mopped the floor of that cabin. You can't see it in the pixel art but it's a biohazard
Pierre: Twitter power-user, unironically calls it X
Caroline: doing her own research on the COVID vaccine
Haley: Swiftie
Penny: even bigger Swiftie
Abigail: Homestuck
Alex: media literacy so bad he doesn't realize the insane homoeroticism of Top Gun
Harvey: terrified that someone in town will look closer at the degree on his wall and realize he's technically an RN, not a doctor, and then it'll just be awkward
Lewis: that truffle oil was for pegging
Evelyn: "secret family recipe" is boxed chocolate cake mix with mayonnaise instead of the oil
George: Hey... um... hey guys? Where was George on January 6th?
Pam: Hey guys, where was Pam on January 6th???
Gus: definitely drunk behind that bar most of the time. He gets away with it because it comes across as "jolly"
Linus: can't go back to Zuzu City. He knows what he did
Jodi: biggest Swiftie of them all. She name-searches. Yes, she's still on Tumblr. Hi Jodi, your fave is mid, looking forward to the anon hate :)
Kent: agrees with Alex that Top Gun isn't gay. Nothing's gay in the military
Sandy: unreal amount of mobile gaming going on back behind that counter. stop sending me Farmville requests
Marnie: actually accepts Sandy's Farmville requests. Keeps texting Shane minion memes
Shane: the real unflattering assumption with Shane is when you correctly clock a fellow Stardew Valley player as a Shane girlie. In our defense, he's going through a lot and we can fix him.
Krobus: eats those void eggs raw. Cracks the shell and drinks em. Slurp slurp bitch
Dwarf: honestly HUGE drug dealer vibes. Miner's Treat has got to be the dwarves' version of cocaine, right?
Vincent and Jas: safe for now, I don't roast anybody under 12. once we hit like year 5 I'm coming for you though
Emily: wants to reblog this but can't. her queue is full and she's hit post limit

pinnie I found a mod for us krobus's spouses!
https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/6760
unfortunately the last update was last year but I think it should still be usable
Hm, I hope that's worth anything. I haven't touched Stardew Valley in a while, but I'm glad someone at least thought of it.
With the right combination of mods, you can even sort of have kids with Krobus, which is nice.

ok since you mentioned stardew valley i have to ask: who do you think the m6’s favorite sdv characters would be?
-🍄
The Arcana HCs: M6 playing Stardew Valley
~ dear anon, there is a reason for why I am known as brainrot. you have somehow combined two of my greatest obsessions and for that you have my thanks. please enjoy! - brainrot ~
(spoilers for SDV content)
Julian
He's got a special soft spot for George and Evelyn. He just wants to be their grandson (not by marriage though, Alex isn't really his type)
Lowkey freaked out by the wizard at first, learns to get along with him anyways because he made it possible to talk to the Junimos
Enjoys most of the game play besides the farming and crafting. He doesn't have the attention span for all of that
Initially falls for Leah, ends up marrying Shane because he told the farmer to leave him alone and Julian takes that as a challenge
It's also strangely cathartic for him to be on the other side of the "I can help him heal" trope
He likes Leo but learning about the shipwreck is mildly triggering for him, he's very happy once it's resolved and he can forget about it
Completely forgets about the Community Center at first because he's too busy romancing all the marriageables. Gets back to it after he's had two kids and befriended all the villagers
Convinced that Mr Qi is secretly evil
Gossips to MC about all of the lore between the villagers
Asra
Gets into it for the aesthetic, stays for the Junimos
Their farm is a jumbled hodgepodge of all the weirdest plants they could find, with random plots of crops needed for different quests
Spends so much time in the mines, there's just so many interesting creatures down there (and he likes all the gems and minerals)
Dislikes Clint so strongly that they end up dating Emily for the vibes and spite
Ends up having Krobus move in as his roommate, but his ideal is playing with MC so he can marry them
Doesn't put any effort into befriending most of the villagers until it becomes a requirement to achieve perfection, ends up stopping by Pierre's every Tuesday to hang out with all the moms
Likes Mr Qi for his aesthetic, gets a little hung up on the Wizard because that's not how magic works
Obsesses over finding all the artifacts, becomes friends with Penny and the kids from their frequent Library visits
Takes full advantage of using Lewis's shorts to mess with him in every possible way
Robin reminds them of their mom and they don't know how to feel about that
Nadia
She has some very strong opinions about Lewis as a mayor and the more she plays and finds out about him the stronger those opinions become
Dedicates herself to the Community Center as soon as it's unlocked
Has a hard time deciding who to court at first. She likes to know her goal before she starts her journey, but it's hard to get a read on everyone right off the bat
Chooses Leah and knows she's the right one when she gets to help her spite her ex by living well and thriving
Perfection is her end goal as soon as she learns about it
Has a soft spot for Linus and Harvey
Her farm is impeccable. Perfectly planned out, greenhouse at max capacity, crops always timed to yield the most harvest per season
Takes a grim satisfaction in Haley and Emily's sisterly disputes
Always has the perfect present prepared for someone's birthday. Except Lewis. She hates that she has to befriend Lewis
Lowkey judgemental of Marnie for sticking with him
Maxes out crafting first and uses everything she makes
Thinks that Robin should be mayor instead
Muriel
He loves Linus. He wants to live in a tent like Linus too
Does not like the mines at all. Too much animal killing
Avoids Shane at first because he clearly wants to be left alone, ends up befriending him for the blue chickens, is grateful he did once Shane gets his act together
Marries Penny to get her out of the trailer and because her interactions stress him out the least
Terrified of Emily, Alex, and Haley, doesn't go near that house
Hates Joja Co with a passion. It's what got him to complete the Community Center, because he wanted to see Morris's empire crumble at his feet. And to make the Junimos happy
Avoids all community events as much as he can
Loves fishing, foraging, and crafting. The first villagers he got ten hearts with were the Wizard and Willy
Fiercely protective of Leo, adores the parrots, tolerates Mr Qi
Prefers to play with MC and Asra, especially because he really wants the Golden Chicken from achieving perfection but he doesn't like talking to the villagers or going in the mines
Half of his farm is chicken coops
Portia
She starting playing it for the fun of a "build a new life" game and kept playing it for the mines and the villager drama
She's got the entire Friendship and Gifts page on the Stardew Valley Wiki memorized
Thinks the wizard is awesome because he teaches her magic
Has so many opinions on who should be with who that it makes it hard for her to settle down with someone. She ended up with Abigail for the swordfights and adventure
Hardcore ships Gus with Willy, waxes poetic about their shared scenes with the crab invasion and giant omelet
Wants Marnie and Marlon to date so badly, she writes tons of fanfiction about Lewis being brutally dumped and the two of them getting together and adopting Leo
Has a personal grudge against Sebastian because people keep rooting for him over his little sister and no she's not projecting at all
She'll reach perfection eventually because she's that good at managing her tasks, but it's not her main objective
Attends every single community event and comes up with so many headcanons about why this villager always stands there and what's going on with that dialogue
Lucio
Accidentally went the Joja route at first and got ticked off when it meant he was the "bad guy" just because he has FOMO
He's all about the adventuring, his farm is mostly wild
Gets annoyed by Marlon's cautious advice, thinks the wizard is cool for giving him magic but wishes he could do more with it
Married Haley and subsequently lost all his hearts with her because he was too busy getting out the door each morning
Couldn't be bothered with the Community Center until he reached the bottom of the mines and heard that there were more levels elsewhere
Divorces Haley to marry Sandy, throws a fit when he finds out she isn't marriageable. Marries Elliot instead because he wrote a book for him
Hates fishing with a passion, especially the legendary fish
Really starts getting into the game once Calico Desert and Ginger Island are open
Obsessed with raising slimes
Doesn't meet Krobus for a long time because he couldn't be bothered with artifacts, brings him diamonds every week once he does
Also wants to be friends with Kent but can't remember his likes
Desperately craves Mr Qi's approval

rambling about language, rats and dreams..?
Recently, for the first time in two years, I had to speak Russian. I had to remember how to speak Russian, or rather how to write in Russian. The things I do for love for my rats...
explanation for those who doesn't know me too well: I was born and raised in the eastern Ukraine (the so-called Donbas), in a Russian-speaking environment. Studied in the "Russian" school, which means that all subjects, except for Ukrainian language and literature, are taught in Russian. Everyone around me spoke Russian. People there can understand and speak Ukrainian, obviously, as everyone in Ukraine does. But it's not used in everyday life, due to the years of russification.
Then, as soon as we moved from Russian-occupied Donetsk, a few months before the invasion, we (my husband and I) completely switched to Ukrainian. We didn't want to have anything in common with those people. (and after the invasion, many Ukrainians also made this choice)
Anyway, one of my rats, Krobus, has a disease unknown to mankind. In all the years of keeping rats, I have never been in such a situation. Something makes it difficult for him to breathe through his nose, yet it is not a respiratory infection. His lungs are fine, he doesn't sneeze too much, doesn't have a runny nose etc. No antibiotics, nebulizer inhalations and even corticosteroids have any effect whatsoever. Vets specializing in rodents don't know what to do. Most likely, it's some kind of growths in the nasal passages.
After a lot of trial and error, incompetent and idiotic advices, I decided to contact our old and trusted vet in Donetsk. But I didn't want to explain to her why I switched languages, I didn't want to have any political discussions, especially with Krobus' health being at stake. So I had to write all the messages to her in Russian. And it was HARD. I don't mean like morally hard. No, plainly hard. I kept mixing up prepositions, word endings, etc., and generally had a tough time finding the right words.
You don't understand how huge this is. I don't know how to explain… Russian wasn't just a simple tool for me. I used to write poems and prose, long letters and essays. My favorite author was Russian. (Nabokov, probably the least Russian Russian but still). In my school years I was that one annoying girl whom the Russian teacher used as an example for others or selected for language competitions to represent the school/town. I know you can't tell that from my shitty English, because the teaching of English in Ukraine and Russia is generally at a terrible level, to the point that English teachers often barely speak English themselves.
Losing it, a giant part of my identity, one of my very few skills…it should feel terrible. But it's fucking amazing! Trying to speak Russian and sounding weird? Wonderful! Trying to write in Russian and forgetting the correct spelling? Fantastic!
In the modern world, learning new languages is a very common practice. But trying to forget a certain language? Now that's a somewhat unique experience that is now shared by so many Ukrainians. Not all of us give up the Russian language for moral or ethical reasons, although many do. And not only in order to correct injustice and the consequences of years of colonization. For some of us, the Russian language is simply a trigger for our trauma. It's a reminder of the pain Russia is subjecting us to. When Russian missiles fly over our heads, at least in they can't penetrate our minds. Eh, it wasn't supposed to sound this pretentious. Ew.
This whole language-switching thing confused my brain a little bit and now I dream mostly in English. So that's a fun side-effect? I don't know why not in Ukrainian though.
In case you're wondering, no medication is helping Krobus still. He feels and acts fine, it's not getting significantly worse for many months, but nothing makes him better. We'll keep trying.

My Stardew Valley project: Lots Layout plan in TS4
(This is not/will not be a save or a download as I use way too much CC for that, just a personal project and plan of lots I found suitable; I don't know how long this will take me or if I'll ever complete it but having a plan helps me so much to not get stuck later)
I'm sharing this in case it is handy to anyone wanting to do a Stardew Valley save in The sims 4 from scratch (lots off gallery are limiting with their sizes and needing specific lots, so I'm starting from zero unless a lot fits) without ugly set dressings or stupid backgrounds that don't make sense, and trying to group together the lots properly like they are laid out in the game so you can see them in the distance, or at least put them on an isolated lot with a clear surroundings if they have to be separated. It isn't perfect and is subjective and pack dependant but I spent a while today just laying out in my blank save (I use the srslysims blank save for this) where I wanna build what and who lives in each lot, so I'm sharing it in case it saves someone time or is useful Some lots are for a few sims living together to do two or more builds on one lot. This could possibly work with For Rent, but I don't dare try it lol. Others are just living alone. Others are just community. The main worlds I'm using are:
- Henford on Bagley:
The finwich area for the main Pelican town area ➡ 1= 1 Willow Lane (Sam Vincent Kent Jodi) + 2 Willow Lane (Hayley and Emily) these are here because of the river and the bridge leading "down to the beach" just everything is perfect for me. 2= Mayor's Manor, 1 River Road (Alex, George, Evelyn), 2 River Road (Pam and Penny trailer) this one is a little cramped and will have to be one next to the other but it can work. That way all these people live in the village centre. 3= Stardrop Saloon, maybe a little square if it fits, but probably not. 4= Harvey's clinic, Pierre's store. 5= Blacksmith and Library (+the little ice cream stand or market stall) 6= Joja Mart and/or Cinema (I'm doing both) 7= Bookseller with cute hot air balloon (this is random I wanted to do it, but it is usually just an empty area) 8= The farm 9= 24 Mountain road (Maru Seb Robin and Demetrius) 10= Quarry (set as generic) 11= Linus's tent 12= Adventurer's Guild and Mines (marlon gil and dwarf)
Willow Creek (Community Center)
It is on the big lot in willow creek, no surroundings or buildings, so It was perfect, and gives enough space to build the community center plus the childrens park and the natural area around it and it's by a river.
- Moonwood Mill as Cindersap Forest
I know it's a bit grungy and has industrial deco but I don't mind these buildings as they fit with the nature imo. It had the perfect amount of lots for what I needed, plus a river. 1= Wizards Tower 2= Travelling Merchant 3= Marnie's Ranch + Leah's Cottage 4= Krobus/Sewer (this is the main reason I chose this world and I know there isn't a beach but the sewer pipe with trash aesthetic and the large lot in the forest was enough for me) 5= Mouse Hat shop /Abandoned house
Granite Falls for Secret Forest:
I'm doing this one (using Zerbu's all worlds are residential) in Granite Falls in the National Park lot, I just liked how big it is, how tall the surrounding trees are, and that it has a little waterfall area.
Glimmerbrook as the rest of "Mountains" area (Railroad and Spa). I choose that lot of the railroad cause i can add a tunnel for the train with tool and it looks like its coming out the cliff
Sulani
Sulani as the Docks (with Elliots shack and Willy's shop) the build i've placed is from the gallery and is a water lot with the Night market (I really liked this and didn't want it separately) so I had to place it here. I do not actually like Sulani for this though, it is far too tropical and its on an island but I am forgiving it for the sake of having the beach lot. I wish Brindleton Bay had a beach lot near the docks would have been much better. You could change this and put it anywhere if you build your own beach as a pool but I hate doing that... In Sulani I'll also build all the Ginger Island stuff, but I still haven't played through that properly so I can't say what is going where yet.
Forgotten Hollow (witch's swamp/hut)
Forgotten Hollow as the witch's swamp /witch's hut area (again this is random but I wanna include it and make the witch for fun)
Oasis Springs as The Calico Desert
This large lot is perfect. It has a road, not too much going on around it except rocks and desert, and I'm gonna put everything here (Sandy's shop, Mr Qi's casino, and the desert trader outside). I will not be building the bus stop anywhere cause it is unnecessary. I forgot to mention but also the skull cavern might fit here or I'll do it on some other lot maybe OTHER INFO
Mods I'm gonna use to help the lots work as intended: I'm gonna play with littlemssams live in business mod to achieve the character being able to live on what should be a community lot and for it to still be functional, as well as chingyu's welcoming lot trait to avoid sims not being able to do what they want on these lots without being "innappropriate". For each of the lots and worlds I selected I spent time entering each and deciding which areas most closely resembled the areas from the game. For example if it had a lake or river nearby, or if the lot was big enough to build each thing. This could change but I think I'm happy with it. I might have to change some of this or make tiny builds to fit the multi build lots. Every single thing is super unfinished and empty, this is just my layout plan.
Conclusion: I hope this helps someone or if not and you even read this far that you like my idea :) If I forgot something or someone or said a name wrong, sorry, though I haven't fully finished the game yet. Basically I tend to get super overwhelmed and annoyed if there are stupid buildings or things that don't match, and am unable to just randomly plop any build anywhere like many players do due to obsessing over it not looking right around the build...maybe I'm a perfectionist or wish it was a blank world, but this is my next best thing. At least this was easier than my Cyberpunk save with way more foresty/countrysidish options 😅

Silly thoughts №??? (I forgot): The Witch and golden egg
Ok, thinking about Stardew Valley lore lately, I now have a question swirling around that I'd like to discuss - golden eggs, and more specifically - why the hell does the witch bring them to us in the coop?
As far as we remember, we can only get golden eggs after achieving Perfection, the easiest way is to buy them from Marnie or Mr. Qi. However, there is also a chance that in one of the random events on the farm, a Witch might fly in and leave us one egg instead of a void egg if there is room in the coop (in all my 2000+ hours of play, I never saw this event). Okay from a game mechanics perspective, but from lore's perspective I found it... well, illogical?
The Witch is the Wizard's ex-wife who, as we recall, turned green with anger after Rasmodius "made a mistake" (*cough* Caroline *cough*) and decided to take out her anger by cursing everything and riding a broomstick over the heads of the residents of the Valley. She wasn't too fond of people in general even then, but she's definitely going to grind her teeth at us, Farmer, for stealing Wizard's magic ink from her hutch.
And that's what she's been doing - direct harm she can't do, due to her ex-husband's magic barrier, but I always like to think she has the ability to leave us "surprises" in the form of cursed black eggs, avenging the theft in this way. Yeah, I know the event may have been before Farmer returned the Wizard's ink, but let's pretend that still, our first egg we bought from Krobus. Not to raise a void chicken, but just to make disgusting mayonnaise and give it to the Goblin.
So the Witch decided: "instead of regular chickens, Farmer should have a whole bunch of cursed one producing eggs that can't be used to make anything edible for humans" (at least after the 1.6 update, void eggs are now energy-draining, like mayo). Except for the strange bun, but I generally think that should also be as edible as a red mushroom or other nasty stuff.
So why, after Perfection, did the Witch start leaving golden eggs, which are basically a blessing rather than a curse. The answer - I have no idea (wow, great post).
There wasn't a single event in the game where Farmer "atoned" for trespassing on the Witch's private property and stealing (albeit not her) stuff, so it's unlikely she just forgave them for the past. The only theory I can still relate to (though it's full of holes, too) is that the Witch has decided to reward us for our not-so-good deeds in the Valley, apparently delighted with our dastardly intentions enough to forget about old grudges. Namely, for the deeds we do with the help of her altars. You know, erasing the memories of our exes, turning children into doves - the usual shenanigans of a chaotic farmer. On the other hand, it makes no sense for her to reward Farmer, she could just silently watch them ruin everyone's life without giving any golden egg.
Honestly, I have no theories at all as to why the witch leaves us the golden egg, and the topic itself is so, so interesting. So if anyone has any thoughts on it - feel free to share it!
