today is the practical music department's practical exam. the day wonbin has been waiting for to come

for the past two weeks, wonbin has been composing, producing a song cover with his partner chaewon, who he had grown close with in such a short amount of time

then again, spending time together in a close quarters can do wonders to a relationship

wonbin's eyes scan through the not so empty auditorium. their practical exam also counts as a school event to show support for the students who are enrolled in the performance department so students are welcome to come and watch

"bin? you okay?" wonbin hears chaewon ask from behind. he scrunches his nose when he sees no familiar faces among the crowds. he then turns to chaewon and smiles at her

"yep. totally fine" wonbin smiles lazily

"are you expecting someone out there today?" chaewon quips, moving closer to the curtain to see the crowd herself

wonbin pauses for a second. was he expecting someone?

yes.

"no" wonbin shrugs. he ignores the weird feeling brewing in his stomach when he realizes that you won't come watch his performance

wait a minute, did he even tell you to come?

on the other side of the stage, sion and seunghan were making ruckus. mostly seunghan who was getting slight stage fright

"i think i'm gonna die out there" seunghan dramatically falls limp on sion who was busy setting up his bass guitar and fixing his music notes

"dude! just do it how we practiced yesterday" sion groans, pushing seunghan off of him.

"i'm nervous.. what if we get booed on" seunghan cries out. sion rolls his eyes in response, leaving seunghan alone to take a peek at the audience.

sion's eyes dart towards the seat he had reserved specifically for you. he had texted you earlier a picture of your seat and you simply replied that you can't wait much longer to watch them perform

"who are you looking for at this important time!" seunghan complains, resting his chin on top of sion's head as he also checks the audience

"y/n" sion simply replies

"WHAT?! YOU INVITED Y/N?!"

all students backstage (including wonbin) suddenly looked towards sion and seunghan's direction after his dumbass decided to scream at the top of his lungs.

wonbin's ears perk up at the mention of your name. he snaps his head towards seunghan's direction almost immediately

you were coming all along?

wonbin doesn't understand what he was feeling. was he suddenly excited? was he nervous? did he somehow get stage fright the second seunghan mentioned that you were going to attend the performance?

"wonbin!" chaewon claps her hands in front of his face. seems like he was in a trance

he looks at chaewon with his eyebrows raised, mouthing 'what?'

"the show is about to begin!" she exclaims, grabbing his hand and dragging him to their waiting room to patiently wait for their turn

wonbin couldn't sit still knowing the fact that you were coming. after recent events, he's not sure if he wants to even look at you in the eye right now

he recalls your last text message to him that he had left on read. yeah, dick move on his part but he couldn't stand to see that you were right

friends don't kiss. friends don't make out. friends do not act like they're in a relationship

and yet, that’s the way you two have been for the past few months

unconsciously, wonbin looks through your old text messages. back when things weren't that complicated. for some reason, that puts him to ease. reading your sweet words that was for him and him alone

chaewon couldn't help but notice the change of demeanour. just a few moments ago, wonbin was all calm and collected but all of a sudden, he wasn't

like he was expecting someone

but she doesn't pry much. opting to leave him alone. which in retrospect, is what he needed at the moment

"next performance is kim chaewon and park wonbin. kim chaewon and park wonbin" a student producer walks in their waiting room to notify them about their cue

wonbin and chaewon both stand up from the couch. they exchange looks before wonbin reaches over for her hand, gripping them tightly as his own way of saying good luck

without another word, they walk out of their waiting room hand in hand as they head towards the stage.

seunghan, who was watching all their classmates on the side couldn't help but notice the two walk in hand in hand. he covers his mouth to prevent himself from gasping out loud seeing the sight before him.

he was already irritated with wonbin after finding out what happened between the two of you and now he sees this? maybe wonbin needs to hear what he has in his mind because this was definitely not it

and of course, like it was fate, you just had to walk in

"boo!" you scare seunghan, grabbing his shoulders. you are yet to see wonbin and chaewon who were literally meters away from the two of you

and then you do.

the sight before you just broke your heart into pieces. your eyes widened as you make eye contact with wonbin. in an instant, he shrugs off chaewon, wiping his hands on the fabric of his pants but it was no use. you already saw it

you divert your attention back to seunghan, who was watching you the entire time

"good luck on the show, hanie!" you smile, patting his head before you motion that you'd be sitting with the audience

wonbin wanted to run after you. he wants to explain that it isn't what you think it is but he doesn't. he stands still, waiting for their names to be called up to the stage

instead, he stares at seunghan who was shaking his head before walking away

wonbin swallows hard, maybe he really did fuck up

you harshly wipe your tears on the way to your seat that sion had reserved for you. you told yourself you wouldn't care but seeing it up close and personal hits different

it was a brutal slap in the face by reality

when you finally get to your seat, it was wonbin's turn to perform

"next performers are kim chaewon and park wonbin" the host says onto the mic

wonbin and chaewon emerge to the stage. wonbin was carrying his signature sticker-filled guitar while chaewon was bringing the microphones

they take their seats on their own little set before they start singing

"the song we are going to sing is our own rendition of 'until i found you' by stephen sanchez" chaewon says into the mic

the crowd coos at her. you took it upon yourself to not roll your eyes because that was rude. she had nothing to do with your current situation so you couldn't put all the blame on her

they exchange looks before wonbin starts strumming on his guitar, promptly starting their performance

you start to think that coming here was a mistake but you remind yourself that you didn't come here for wonbin but for sion

throughout the song, you busied yourself with your phone. in your ears, it sounded like they were singing it to each other with the way they take turns on singing some parts

your mind drifts off to the night you and wonbin shared your first kiss. it was almost exactly like this very moment except you weren't singing with him but he was singing at you. your heart aches at the memory. what once was a beautiful memory is now ruined

i said, "I would never fall unless it's you I fall into" i was lost within the darkness, but then I found her

you unconsciously looked up at the lyric and ultimately meeting wonbin's eyes. it was like he was singing that line to you directly but you knew better. the way chaewon was looking at him right now tells a different story

you shake your head lightly, not really expecting him to notice but unfortunately he does

wonbin almost forgets the chords he practiced for two whole weeks seeing your reaction to be like that but lucky for him, the song was already ending

and before he knows it, the crowd was already giving them their round of applause

"thank you guys for watching!" chaewon exclaims, waving to the crowd. the crowd screams at the action causing chaewon to blush. she turns to wonbin and smiles widely at him to which he promptly returns the smile

they link arms once more before they bow together in front of the audience and with that, they scurry off to the backstage

turns out it was seunghan and sion's turn after them so wonbin and chaewon bumped into the two

"good luck up there!" chaewon smiles at sion and seunghan who both politely smile back at their classmate

wonbin pats sion's back as his own way of saying good luck while he just stares at seunghan. seunghan purses his lips shut as he ushers sion up to the stage by pushing him

"calm your dick, seunghan! you're making me more nervous than i should!" sion grumbles, walking up to the stage the moment he hears their names being called by the host

"up next is oh sion and hong seunghan!"

wonbin decides to stay backstage, just next to the stage where he has a good view at your seat. he watches the way you have visibly lit up when sion and seunghan came up to the stage in contrast with him on stage earlier. you did not spare a single glance during his performance with chaewon

he gets it really after what's been going on between the two of you but for some unknown reason, it stings

wonbin feels someone grab onto his shoulder, it was chaewon

"i'll be with my girls after this. you'll be okay on your own?" she asks politely, checking her phone for the time

wonbin nods, ushering her away playfully

"yeah. i'll call you later" he says, bidding goodbye to the bob haired girl who giggles before walking away, "bye chae"

wonbin turns his attention back to you who's now filming the performance on stage. he couldn't help but frown. why was this bothering a lot more than it should

he made it loud and clear that you two were simply friends but what the fuck?

the performance of sion and seunghan end with again, a round of applause from the audience but wonbin can hear your voice loud and clear

"go kungkungsi! go hanie!"

kungkungsi... is that your nickname to sion now? you two are on nickname basis from just one date?, wonbin thought to himself bitterly. he pushes himself off the wall to walk away when sion and seunghan finally came back down from the stage

"congrats guys" wonbin smiles weakly at the two boys, careful not to draw any attention from sion in case he was clueless about the situation

seunghan simply nods while sion shows him a thumbs up, clearly tired too from his performance as he did play bass

wonbin turns around to walk away to head back to his waiting room to grab his things when he suddenly sees you. you were smiling so widely and waving like crazy

wonbin suddenly thinks a miracle had just occurred. were you not mad at him anymore that you were smiling and waving at him? so much that he slowly opened his arms only for you to walk past him directly and hugged sion and seunghan instead

okay. ouch

wonbin slowly turns his head but regrets it almost immediately when the sight before him was you hugging sion. you pull away from him to hand him something. wonbin can't really tell what it was but it kinda looked like ice cream

he watches the way sion bursts out laughing at your gift, like its some inside joke between the two of you cause what was so funny with mint chocolate ice cream of all things?

his thoughts however are disrupted when he hears chaewon calling his name again

"wonbin-ah!" chaewon calls from the other side of the backstage. he winces when he was caught up in this situation again where you are present. "the girls want you to join us. come on!" she yells out, waving her hand over

he looks at you instinctively, checking your reaction but to his surprise (and hurt), you had no reaction as you were too busy fooling around with sion and seunghan to even notice

with that, wonbin heaves a heavy sigh before he walks over to chaewon

before they leave backstage, he takes one more look at you

for the first time, you aren't looking back at him

and that hurt him. a lot more than it should.

You need to keep your cool in a moment like this, keep a steady head. When you find it hard to do so, it's never a bad idea for a friend to help.

Astro & Reader.

You couldn't help it. Every battered breath came out stuttered, your head pushed hard against your knees. Can't do this anymore, you just can't. You'd try and hold back your whimpers in fear of garnering attention from the fucked up "twisteds" that were no doubt taking a bite outta your friends right now, but you just couldn't keep your cries down.

This was unbearable. The absolute worst. Here you were, just trying to help the toons out, joining one of their runs, and suddenly it went from 8 to 3. Five people downed on one floor. All cuz of what looked to be a fucked up imitation of Pebble.

First you heard the screams. You'd jumped, hands clenching around the machine you were extracting ichor from. Missed a skillcheck, couldn't keep your hands from trembling and messing it all up. Then, when the sound of thundering footsteps came racing towards you, you ran out from a corner and immediately smacked into Glisten.

Whatever was chasing you had made the split second decision to lean down, and take a bite outta him right in front of you. The look in his eyes, the weird gurgle he'd made from between its jaws, you couldn't keep yourself from emptying your stomach right then and there. Thankfully, your survival instinct was still intact, and you'd leapt towards another room.

4 out of 8 machines done, with incredibly dwindling numbers. It didn't take a mathematician to know you're all fucked. So here you are, losing your mind about it while huddled behind some crates. Your muffled whimpers had quickly evolved into full body sobs, all will to persevere overshadowed by watching a friend take the brunt of your panic-stricken mistakes.

Holy shit, you should've just stayed cooped up in the lobby. With Glisten's extraction speed, there might have been a good chance you'd all have been able to make it out of here. You missed Flutter. She was here for a moment, and then vanished as if something had plucked her out of existence. You prayed it wasn't painful. Prayed it wasn't anything like what you'd just witnessed.

It's getting worse now, your fearful cries. You wouldn't be able to stop the noise from building, even if you'd covered your mouth with more than your hands. You can faintly tune in to those awful footsteps, and they're approaching steadily.

You're not sure if you give up. You can't bring yourself to stop crying, but maybe when the vile thing approaches you'll try and struggle, kick off with your feet and make a break for it.

When something touches your shoulder, you almost squeal. A hand clasps around your mouth and pulls you into a body that's oddly cold. You flail, but ultimately jerk to a stop when three more appendages wrap around you to still your movement.

What? It's offputting enough to make you still, whimpers catching in your throat as you throw your head back, trying to see what exactly has you trapped.

Oh.

When you meet his eyes, you expect to see fright. The same dread that has haunted each of you before you'd even set foot in the elevator.

Instead, you see that he's calm. Unfettered. Almost serene in the way that he looks at you. As if he's relieved- that it wasn't you that had been splattered against the ground.

It makes you freeze, to see such an expression at a time like this. Confusion scrunches your brows, your hands reaching up to layer his own.

"Astro?" You mouth against his hand. He blinks for a moment, a nod coming in response.

"You need to be quiet." He whispers, drawing closer. One of his hands pulls his blanket around you, almost as if attempting to hide you from sight. You're startled by the soft hum that rumbles through him, and even moreso shocked by the lull that encompasses your body. You sag, breathing taking a sharp dive before oddly evening out.

You knew he had the ability to put others to sleep. You'd also known he could manipulate dreams, since he'd offered multiple times to help you with yours. However, you had no idea he could soothe you to this degree. Not while awake, at least.

Nobody could blame you for the way you sunk into the body behind you, slouching and almost curling up. With the sudden relaxation you felt, all the adrenaline that had built up was released. You felt more exhausted than ever. It was obvious, to you, that this was where you crashed.

Not a good time to do it, that's for sure. But hey, if you wanted someone to blame for that, Astro is indeed right there.

"Better?" He sighs out, hand moving away from your mouth. You wondered if your breath was disturbing to someone who ran so cold. You couldn't imagine someone with cold breath breathing all over you. Eugh.

He seems to notice you've drifted a bit, no longer aware of the situation at hand. You feel one of his hands squeeze your shoulder, and his humming comes to a stop. Dazed, you peer back at him, realizing he'd wanted a response.

"Yeah. Way better. Thank you." It's stilted, and you feel the urge to yawn. Astro stares at you for a moment more, before looking to the side of the crates. You want to follow his gaze, but one of his hands covers your eyes.

You almost mumble out a question, but he shushes you. You're in too much of a daze to argue so you simply lean back and rest for a moment. It takes a few minutes, where your heart pounds in your ears with an eerie rhythm. Thump, thump, thump.

It's an odd beat, but you try not to mind it. Just relax.

It passes, and suddenly Astro is scooting to your side. You open your eyes again, and see him lean forward to almost methodically scan your body. "We'll have to run for it." He takes a hand in his, (you'd never seen him use his actual arms nor hands for anything), and closes his eyes.

A bright, ethereal light dances across the floor around you- and you feel refreshed. The heavy weight of exhaustion drains from your body, and you almost jump up from the hectic energy of it all. You do lean over though, feeling as if he'd dumped cold water all over you.

"Astro?" You warble, the weight of your situation tightening your throat.

"You'll be okay." He shushes you, offering one of his rare smiles. He pauses, peering over the crates and listening. "They're down the other hallway. Run to the left, go straight, I'll be right on your heels the whole time."

You nod. The direction feels relieving, imperative to your survival. You'll get out of this, you'll be okay.

You've both got this. You can't bring yourself to smile at him, not with all that you've seen this last floor, but you're extremely grateful you'll be making this last push with him at your side.

You hear the almost imperceptible sound of a machine go off, followed by two more almost in unison. They must have primed them. That seems to be what Astro had been waiting for, since he ushers you up and forward.

"Let's go."

Heyyyyy it's your least favorite 'posts-stories-way-too-fast' author, A!^^ 7th one! This is a request for "kyupidu"! Depicted as kids in this, due to innocence, stubbornness, lots of curiosity, and playfulness.

“Hey! Get back here!”

Your giggles blended into the other sounds around you as you chased your friend(You decide) through the maze of rooms.

But as soon as they turned a corner, they were gone. Huffing, you slowed to an eventual halt to catch your breath, until you noticed something moving farther away from you, in the darkness off to the side. You could barely see it…or them, due to the shadows that covered them.

What was that saying your parents always said? Uhhhhh…curiosity saved the cat, right? Yeah! So you should investigate this totally not weird, and suspicious, thing in the corner!

Crouching down, you leant forward to fall on your hands and knees, and crawled forward. You heard a quiet gasp, and the thing moved away again. It was a…blob? Oh…that looks more like a blanket. Why do they have a blanket covering them?

“Hello?”

…

No response.

“Hey, you okay?”

…

Again, no response.

…

“Fine, then I’m gonna sit here until you talk.”

You pulled your knees up to your chest and leaned your head on them, closing your eyes. It wasn’t much longer until they gave up. You didn’t look like you were going anywhere anytime soon.

“My name…is Astro. Please leave...”

You perked your head up again to stare at “Astro”.

“What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be playing with your friends?

You heard a sigh coming from the darkness. You had completely ignored his request…

“I…I don’t have friends.”

You cocked your head to the side at this. No friends? You’ve never heard of anyone who hasn’t had friends!

“Then why don’t you make some?”

More silence.

He was obviously hesitant about telling you anything else, but you still pushed on, determined to learn more about your companion.

“Come on, let’s go help you make fr-mmph!”

You stopped abruptly as he threw off the blanket and covered your mouth.

“NO! I-I mean no! Don’t- don’t do that!”

Of course your little dumb kid brain couldn’t understand, and so your response was asking a bunch more questions.

“Why? Are you sick? Are you hurt? I can go call the nurse! Are you upset? Are-”

“Just…they don’t…like me. I’m not meant to be friends with them.”

“Oh. Well, can I be your friend?”

“...I don’t think you would like me.”

“No way! You seem like a really cool person, just shy!”

He was silent.

Astro observations pt.18

~For some weird reason, Geminis cannot live without their Airpods. They love it sm!!! ~Saturn aspects to ascendant (Capricorn, Aqua asc too) Bro you guys wear anything, and can look classy and decent in that. fr fr!! While the part of Aqua ruled by Uranus aspect the asc, what you wear is trend the next day lol. ~Aspects which can hide their insecurities and hurt flawlessly: -Neptune aspects to asc -Pisces placements (esp asc and sun) -Leo placements (esp asc and moon) -Capricorn (smr) -Scorpio risings and moon (c'mon they had to be on the list) ~Not a slander, but the most dangerous sign (esp of all the cardinals) when angry is a Cancer. You won't even know what hit you if they decide to take revenge. Not becoz they're a water sign, but Cancers tend to develop grudges as good as a Scorpio but a Cancer's facade will fool you big time. ~ Sun in 2H is actually a foot in mouth. But these guys can make excellent journalists. Or any profession which requires oration and mass communication. (You guys are so chirpy🤣❤) ~I have noticed this thing in many charts, when you look at the house where mercury is in, in both your natal and D9, if it is isolated with Sun(meaning there are no other planets in that house except for Mercury or just Sun and mercury), there is good chance that you'd move to a place far from your family, or a place totally foreign to you. The negative thing is, it can potentially be 'isolation'. ~ Saturn Conjunction with Mars (either sign or houses) ARE VERYYY DANGEROUS. And I mean it (with a trigger warning ⚠️ of being violent) They have been around people who are physically abusive and they themselves are violent. (Esp when they get angry)

Astro observation . . . TWO!!

Whenever I see someone has a prominent Scorpio or Capricorn placement I always notice and see how sweet and overlay considerate they are. These people I’ve noticed are very helpful and there for people, sometimes they don’t think about themselves that much and contain themselves too much. They also are like nonchalantly funny? It’s not hard for them to make me laugh I’ve noticed.

But yeah strong Capricorn and Scorpio placements remind me of the giving tree idkkk

Like also Capricorn’s and Cancers be goofy as shit im crine😭

WHEW. This is from my experience but when I have seen a fair amount of Virgo or Cancer influences in somebody chart THEY ALWAYS GET ON MY NERVES LIKE GIRL DON'T DO ME LEAVE ME ALONE😭 I swear I have always had little moments with them- they can be quite annoying but guess what. I often spend so much time with them and we are right back on track maybe two seconds later it’s so funny. We switch up so much it funny. They are kind of silly whimsical beings at times I will not lie. Like it would not be wild to catch them froliciing in the fields randomly- its kind of expected of them in my own opinion. Appearance

Webby is an insect with a lavender head and arms. She also has a pair of “mandibles” on the sides of her mouth as well as antennae. She has purple eyeshadow and eyelashes on each eye. She wears a black long sleeved sweater with a pink ladybug on it, a black skirt with a pink crosshatch pattern, and socks with black and purple stripes.

She has six arms, similar to Astro, but unlike Astro, Webby can retract her extra arms and bring them out whenever she wants. 

Personality

Webby is a passionate Toon, especially when it comes to bugs and insects. She is headstrong, strong-willed and quite protective of her friends (as seen in her dialogue when activating “Infestation”)

She is aware that she often gets weird (even sometimes frightened) looks from others, but doesn’t seem to mind them too much. Despite being headstrong, she’s usually laid-back and mild-mannered. But she doesn’t like it when people judge others (or bugs) for their appearance, interests, or behavior. 

She does tend to display a bit of a “creepy” side to her, sometimes she does it to scare folks (in a cheeky/mischievous way), other times it’s unintentional.

Twisted Webby is a large, roaming Twisted that wanders the halls aimlessly. Whenever Twisted Webby spawns, a couple of spider webs will spawn in random locations on the floor. The amount of webs depends on how big the floor is (3 webs on smaller floors like the Greenhouse, 5 webs on larger floors such as the Warehouse and Astro’s Floor.) Stepping into these spider webs will cause you to get stuck in it. In order to get out of the web, you must repeatedly and quickly press the spacebar to fill up the bar that appears once the web is activated.

A/N: finally, a chapter worth posting. This one is so much better than the last two or three i've posted. Sorry guys, I've totally lost track of time, its been two weeks since the last chapter ive posted... this is a longer one so hopefully it will suffice. Reader pov:

You and your father have silently agreed to just let go of what happened during the commute to the grocery store. The two of you have not talked about the topic since, and you were grateful for it. You headed for the doors to get outside the base, as you had decided earlier that a morning run should do the trick for your sluggish start to the day. It seems you had woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Barely making conversation at breakfast, feeling irritated and put off by everything. Even the sound of Gaz breathing when you sat next to him in the mess hall made you want to choke him out.

You breathed in deeply, savoring the crispy winter air as it's freezing tendrils circled your lungs. You sighed and were about to get moving when you heard a gruff noise behind you.

It was Ghost, clearing his throat.

You turned towards him, a quizzical look crossing your features.

"I've tracked you across the whole bloody base," he said, in a gravely, morning voice.

"And?" You said, annoyed. You didn't feel like talking to anyone not even your mysterious crush.

"And, a good soldier should know to watch their damn six."

"Yeah, in the field," you roll your eyes.

"Someone's pissy this morning, I thought we were on good terms now?" He chuckled

"I just... sorry- you didn't do anything wrong-" he cut you off.

"I know," he smirked.

"... just bad nights sleep I guess," you glared, finishing your sentence.

"Where are you headed?" his voice softened slightly, but his gaze still remained rigid and judgy.

"Out for a run."

"You don't mind if I join do you?"

You raised and eyebrow at his suggestion

"What? i'm not supposed to be friendly with my teammates ever?"

"I-I...no...I don't mind," you said skeptically.

The two of you took off at a quick pace, you were surprised that the lieutenant could keep up despite the skull balaclava covering his nose and mouth, as well as his large, toned build.

"You run often?" you ask.

"Mmm... when I was a kid I got in trouble a lot. I had to make a quick getaway sometimes."

"Who was chasing you... the law?"

"Eh, sometimes," he said, nonchalantly.

"Well, what kind of trouble?" you asked, not knowing whether to be concerned or intrigued.

"Dumb, teenage shit. You know, smashing windows... drinking... smoking, anything to get me out of the house really. I matured eventually."

"And now your in the military, the irony," you paused. "You know, I really wouldn't have guessed that you were so... unruly as a kid, Mister 'im so strict and tough," you laughed.

He gave a chuckle in response.

"Mhm, my teenage years were pretty lawless... probably can't say the same for you, Price's kid," he smirked.

"Ah you got me there... I did get into a little trouble though."

"Really...?"

"I dabbled with boys mostly..."

This made Simon's heart rate quicken, the thought of you with other guys, but then he reminded himself that you were a teenager at the time.

"Boys? I'm sure the captain wasn't very fond of that"

"Oh hell no... he always chased 'em away. I never could keep a boyfriend for very long. No matter how secretive I was he always found out."

Noted Ghost thought to himself.

Ghost laughs, "Yup, sounds like ol' cap."

The two of you fall into a comfortable silence for a few minutes as Ghost thinks about your love life.

"You...you don't happen to have any of those men in your life now... do you?" he asks quietly.

"I uhm....uh...well... no," You respond, a bit flustered.

"Good, otherwise i'd have to tell cap" He added, voice stronger and more confident while trying to play the question off as a joke.

You two were almost back to the base now, as you finished at the doors Ghost spoke up again as he swung the door open for you.

"It's about time for our daily training now, good timing."

You nodded as you stepped through the door into the pleasantly warm building. You walked down to the training facilities with him.

"Lets do some lifting," Ghost suggested.

You groaned in protest, dragging your feet as your lieutenant led you into the gym. You went through a few sets, bench press, curls, a few ab exercises, and finally some squats. By the time you were ready to start squatting, your body was exhausted, especially your legs considering you ran beforehand. Ghost looked at you with a slight bit of sympathy.

"Lets just do two sets of eight for this one alright Y/N?"

"Thank you, G-Ghost," you sputtered as you struggled to keep the bar level as you got into your first squat.

You wobbled, your legs quivered as you raised yourself back up into a standing postion.

One

You shook even more on the way down the second time, Ghost noticed this and left the wall he was leaning up against. He stood behind you with his hands open, ready to steady the bar if needed.

Two

By the third rep, the bar was so far away from being level on your shoulders your whole body tipped to the right. Luckily, Ghost caught you and lifted the bar off your shoulders before you could fall. He put the bar back on the rack and took a few pounds off of it while you sat down for a moment.

"If you're not okay enough to finish we can be done here," Ghost told you. His words were sympathetic but his voice was void of emotion, it was hard to gauge weather he was disappointed in your failure to finish the set or if he was concerned for you.

Ghost pov:

Goddamnit, she totally felt that.

I stood in front of Y/N while she sat down for a moment to catch her breath. I had to get the bar off of her before she hurt herself, but in the process I had pressed myself against her by accident. Which in return gave me a little problem... down there. Forever grateful to my mask for saving my ass once again, I tried to exert calmness towards Y/N while she rested. I desperately hoped that she would be done now that she was almost crushed by the weight.

"No, I'd like to finish out the set at least," she responded to my question.

"You sure? no shame in calling it quits to avoid injury," I responded in a warmer tone than before.

"Yeah, I've got it," she reassured me, more strength in her voice now.

Again, I positioned myself behind her to spot her. Only this time, a half step further back, not forgetting about my hard on. I'm not going to lie, It was tough to just stand there silently while she got her reps in. All I wanted to do was praise her, to tell her what a good job she was doing. I wanted to see her smile when I told her she did something right, I just wanted to make her happy.

"Good work," I managed to say when she got all eight reps in.

She told me goodbye and turned to leave. I watched her walk away, she took a few steps before I couldn't help myself.

"Wait!"

She turned around.

"I enjoyed running with you this morning... really- it was nice. Thank you for letting me go with you."

Her face broke into a genuine smile.

"Thank you for coming with me, it was nice to see you more informal... you know, outside of all the work stuff."

When she walked off again, I couldn't help but get all giddy and boyish. I felt like a teenager swooning over his crush at school.

Talia

With Talia, both me and Astro had different views on how she could end with a cat. So let's start with Astro's version.

They said that Damian could go with the pretense that he doesn't know how to take care of the cat (lie) or simply couldn't keep it with him, anyway Talia ends with a cat under pretense. Despite the League beliefs, Damian knows that Talia would take good care of the cat, and so mentions that the cat was mistreated by humans and Talia goes "Give it to me my son, I will take care of her".

Talia would go absolutely crazy with spoiling her princess, which she calls Arwa in honor of a Islamic queen. Arwa would have her own servants and everything, she really starts living as a queen. The 3 years old, brown-ish nebelung also has a ripped ear, consequences of her past, but Talia doesn't see it as a flaw. For Talia is proof of her resilience and warrior spirit.

For me tho, it goes a bit different. Damian wants to give her a cat, he really wants, but he knows how pets are seen in the League. A weakness. And Damian knows what happens when weakness is shown. So, for now, Damian sends her pictures of Arwa without any context.

Talia is confused, but happy nonetheless that Damian is reaching out. Even if is through cat photos. After a few photos and noticing that is always the same cat, Talia asks about it and Damian responds, "Is yours."

Damian may have not been living with her for a long time, but he's still her son. Talia doesn't know the exact reason, but she knows what it implies.

"May I know her?"

"TT. Fine."

Talia still falls in love with Arwa, and she still becomes the spoiled queen Arwa was destined to be. After that, almost everyday Damian receives a photo of Arwa.

Barbara

Barbie is next cause everyone loves Barbara Gordon.

This goes actually diferent. Babs has seen the cat in her neighborhood before. Always in the same alley and running around, with food in his mouth that definitely is stolen, she even has seen the cat sleeping in that broken stairs that no one uses in her building. So, she is quite familiar with the orange tabby that wanders here and there.

But after four days of not seeing him, Babs finally calls Robin to help her. She know is a personal matter but also knows that Damian is her best option to at least make sure the cat is fine. Damian finds him hurt, probably by a dog attack, and is quick to take him to the vet.

A month later, when Babs arrives at her apartment Damian is waiting for her with all the necessities a cat may need. One look at the purring tabby on her couch and Babs finally understands why everyone else accepts the cats.

Babs decides to call the 2 years-old Jesse, honoring Jesse James (a famous robber way back in history). Jesse, as any other orange cat, is a whirlwind of energy. He specially likes stepping into her laptop everytime Barbara is working, she gently lifts him and puts him on the floor but he doesn't care, Jesse just tries again. That's it until Babs pulls out a old rusty laptop that she no longer uses and opens it when she is working. Jesse is so happy to have his own laptop.

Once, she decides to take Jesse with her at the library, partly worried but she can't let him in the apartment for whatever reason. Surprisingly enough, Jesses always stays calm and friendly, letting kids pet him. She finds him sleeping on shelves or close to the windows always under the sunlight. She starts taking him to work with her and you bet she even made him a credential.

Jesse's habits die hard tho. He still brings a lot of weird shit to Babs as gifts. Dead small animals, trinkets and random stuff she doesn't know what to do with. One day he brings a whole ass wallet.

Tim

No one is more surprised than Tim. Not only he receives a cat, but as a birthday gift too? Wow, he definitely didn't cried.

The cat in question is a 2 years old, siamese oriental shorthair. Really thin and lanky. The cat has this air of elegance at every step.

At first he wants to name him Ghost or something like that, but Kon (joking) says that that's no name for the heir of the Drakes. Tim takes it too seriously and he names the cat a super rich-kind name.

He ends with Sir Konrad The Third Archduke of the Couch.

This name has so many jokes on it. Firts is Konrad, at the beginning it was with C (Conrad) but Astro pointed out that it could also be pronounced with a K, as a reference to Kon, that way it can also be read as Kon-rad (he was so happy about it, saying that Konrad was also his son). The Third stands cause Tim is the third Robin. And Archduke of the Couch just because Konrad is a heavy sleeper that barely leaves the couch.

Bringing back the thought of Konrad being a heavy sleeper that love warm places to sleep, so picture this with me fam. Tim is working on the couch, focused on a case, and probably hasn't seen his bed since two days ago, suddenly he notice that he needs something that is upstairs or in another room, the problem is that the cat is sleeping in his lap, and he looks so comfy, so if Tim moves he would probably wake him up and now he is trapped on the couch.

Ten minutes later he is sleeping in the couch with a cat on his lap. This repeats a lot, so Konrad is actually helping Tim with his sleep schedule. Bonus points for all the pics that the batfam have of Tim and Konrad sleeping together.

When Steph gets her cat, eventually, Korand and Steph's cat has the worst relationship ever. They literally can't stand eachother.

Anime 2024

I barely played any video games in 2024, but I did end up watching quite a bit of anime, both old and new. I did specifically make a push to watch a lot of current anime in 2024, and it was a lot of fun to see what all was coming out that I might not normally check out. I'm going to give my top 3 series that I watched in their entirety, and then cover shows that I only got partway through.

Top New Anime of 2024:

3. Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian The art style is unique and exceptional. I found the characters in this very charming, and that really carried this show for me. I did also find the general story of it engaging. I'm looking forward to more of this show.

2. Gushing Over Magical Girls Hear me out. Yes, it is incredibly lewd and horny, but it also handles its themes in a very genuine manner. It covers a wide array of fetishes and clearly cares about giving them proper representation. The characters are a ton of fun, and the story is really about a love for the magical girl genre and being true to who you are. It is far better than it had to be and I am looking forward to season 2 (though I have already read all of the manga up to current so I know what is coming).

1. Whisper Me a Love Song Hands down my show of the year. It combines my two favorite things in anime, girl bands and yuri. I watched this show with my wife, and we really connected and related to the characters. It is sweet and wholesome and just makes me happy. Plus, the music is great! It is a shame that the show had production issues, which stopped the last two episodes from being aired for months. Because of that, my wife and I both read the entire manga because we needed to know how the season was supposed to end. And honestly? The manga is even more amazing! I am glad we watched the show first though because actually hearing the songs really makes those scenes hit on a whole different level. The final two episodes did finally release just a few days ago, and I'm so glad they did, because it was really special to see those final moments animated.

Also watched all of: Days With My Stepsister - amazing characters, didn't like where the plot ended up. An Archdemon's Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride - Actually a lot of fun, if a bit simple.

Top Anime of 2024 That I Started and Want to Finish: Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines - I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes, it seems like a neat premise. Jellyfish Can't Swim in The Night - The first episode is beautiful and the themes of it really spoke to me. Pseudo Harem - Seems like a really cute concept that was done well in the first episode. VTuber Legend - As someone who watches vtubers I've gotta watch more of this, it felt very genuine.

Other Anime of 2024 I Checked Out: Dan Da Dan - First episode left a bad taste in my mouth. Astro Note - Didn't connect with the characters or vibes. My Deer Friend Nokotan - Seems fun, might continue. Ranma 1/2 - Seems like a faithful adaptation, might watch more. Shoushimin: How to Become Ordinary - I am very intrigued by this, will probably continue. 2.5 Dimensional Seduction - Seemed fine. Kaijuu No. 8 - I hate the OP/ED but the series seems interesting. Viral Hit - Interesting premise, maybe? Wind Breaker - Action was very good, do want to continue this at some point. The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio - Very interesting first episode, strong characters. Train to the End of the World - Weird. A Condition Called Love - Didn't grab me. Bartender: Glass of God - Has potential, I want to watch this with Phoebe. A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics - The plot seemed interesting, may return to this. Gods' Games We Play - Kinda whatever.

Top Non-2024 Anime I Watched in 2024: Higurashi: When They Cry - LOVED this one, it's one of my wife's all time favorites and it was very special to get to experience it with her. Bocchi the Rock - Absolutely amazing in every way. Apothecary Diaries - Wonderful characters, really looking forward to the new season coming out.

wonbin was currently over at your place (like usual) to start composing his duet song for their practical exam next week. not even ten minutes upon his arrival, he already made his way to your bed to "rest his eyes" as he said earlier. he even told you to wake him up in exactly five minutes and so you did

"it's been 5 minutes, bin. wake up" you poke his shoulder as you watch him sleep in your bed. he looks so calm and at peace in times like this

not that you've told a single soul but you two have been sleeping in the same bed for a while now. things really did change after that night during giselle's birthday celebration because wonbin would just end up crashing at your place after your usual nightly movie marathons and convenience store runs

strangely enough, you didn't question it. maybe it's because you've grown so comfortable with wonbin that this almost feels natural for you two to do

it's safe to say it's like you two have been living together secretly

"five more minutes.." wonbin mutters, wrapping himself with your blanket

"you told me that 5 minutes ago" you laughed, now resorting into shaking his shoulder so he could fully wake up

wonbin stays still despite your never ending nudging. right when you were about to kick him as your last measure, wonbin suddenly opens the blanket and drags you under the covers with him

he wraps his arms around your frame as he rests his head onto your chest

"there. much better" he mumbles, sighing in content

you let out a loud laugh before your hands immediately find their way towards his hair, stroking them as you look up at your ceiling

what a weird friendship you two have

"you're going to fail your exams if you keep this up" you joke, gently running your hands through his hair that smelled like mint

wonbin scoffs and moves his head a little that you can feel his breath fan your neck

"that can wait" he says, lips slightly brushing against your neck

you let out a hum. whatever, it's not your project nor responsibility anyway. so instead of pushing him to start working, you just lay there with him in your arms

this is what usually happens when he stays over. quiet moments that it's so peaceful and so mundane that it feels like everything falls into place with him by your side. you can't explain it but it just makes so much sense

a moment of silence passes by that it makes your eyelids feel heavy when you suddenly feel a pair of lips leave a trail of light kisses against your jawline til they gradually make their way up to your cheek. each kiss making your heart pound louder against your chest

your eyes snap open as your breath hitches

"wonbin.." you whispered when his lips hovered near the edge of your mouth. you meet his eyes, his gaze soft yet strong at the same time that it sent goosebumps all over your skin

the next thing you know, you were leaning in as well and so your lips meets his

this was way different from your first kiss with him weeks ago. this time you two didn't hesitate. it wasn't all because you two were caught up in the moment that you felt like you just had to kiss

because in this moment, you don't want this to ever stop

the kiss gradually went from soft and intimate into something you can't put into words. wonbin had shifted his positon once more. he was hovering above you while your arms are over his neck. with each kiss you take, the more you pull him closer til he was practically lying on top of you

your hands find their way to his hair again, gently tugging them when wonbin deepened the kiss that you accidentally let out a groan in his mouth

wonbin pulls away and moves his lips to your neck again. you let out a small whine when his lips find that sweet spot just below the shell of your ear. you can feel his lips curl into a smirk with what you just did and that just fueled his sudden adrenaline

you cup his cheeks to pull him back to your lips. this time your kisses were feverish, clearly hungry for more. wonbin then begins to trap you in between him, a knee placed in between your legs

things are getting heated in your apartment that the next thing you know was your clothes are slowly thrown onto the floor

you push wonbin off yourself a little to catch your breath, he sits up and cocks his head to the side. is something wrong?

these i thought of when i was in dw rp mode looking at twisted animations on a call HSHSHDH

so first of all, I noticed that some twisteds are smiling and others are frowning. i thought it was really weird so i went through all of them (minus the ones without a mouth/visible mouth and twisted pebs and coal)

oh and i noticed that most of the twisteds frowning are also crying ichor- which kinda shows that they know what they're doing but don't want to do it

toons that are frowning also seem to not be AS transformed as compared to the ones smiling imo. The mains seem to be the most transformed (minus astro)

rudie is a bit weird imo, same as looey. though rudie peeks my curiosity a bit more.

rudie's attack face has him smiling, though his default face is frowning. i think rudie is halfway taken over by the ichor, or mostly taken over by it? his lower half is almost completely ichor, and his horns are elongated and also completely made out of ichor.

Looey has sort of an 'unsure' attacking face. Like as if he's trying to debate if what he's doing is right or wrong

another thing I noticed is that dandy is the one who most likely displays the "true form" of the ichor (because he is behind the ichor operation)

A lot of twisteds who seem to be like- extremely far into their transformation have either claws or hooves. And Dandy has both. (Not counting rudie because he's a reindeer)

ANOTHER THING I NOTICED. Mostly with Boxte, Gigi, and Shelly, is their attack / moving animations. All three of them aren't really using their eyes, or like their arms. Gigi and Shelly are both looking at the ground while moving around, so they don't really know where they're going exactly.

Gigi and Boxten both have at least one limb coming from their 'lids', and those seem to really only be the most sentient part of them.

Minhyuk had texted you that there was a small break for him in the shooting of their new music video for ‘ONE’ and asked if your daughter, Yujin, wanted to stop by to look at the sets. You said you would be there, of course, since your daughter had been missing her father since this morning anyway. 

You arrived at the filming location and greeted the staff, holding your daughter’s small hand and making sure she was well-behaved. You were always a bit scared that she might throw a tantrum and interrupt filming so you never took the risk of visiting the set when Minhyuk was needed.

You spotted your husband from across the room and walked over to him. He seemed to hear your footsteps as he broke the conversation he was having with Eunwoo and turned around. As soon as he saw his daughter, the biggest grin broke out on his face. He picked up the cute two-year-old, cooing at the small pigtails that you had put in her hair that morning.

It seemed like Yujin was also interested in hair at that moment. Her eyes were wide looking at her fathers hair, specifically the delicate silvery chains that were laced in amongst his black locks. She stared at them in awe, not focusing on anything else, and eventually tried to reach out to grab them.

Minhyuk chuckled once he realised why she was so focused and fascinated. He carefully tried to separate one of the strands of jewellery so she could look at it closer, but that was a hard task to complete while also holding her in his arms. You eventually stepped in to help, carefully piecing away one of them from the others and holding it closer so your daughter could touch it. 

“Thanks, baby.” Minhyuk murmured with a goofy smile as he still looked at his daughter. She reached out to touch the chain and high-pitched giggles left her mouth when she did, creating a domino effect. Soon almost the whole set was laughing from her contagious moment of delight. 

Unfortunately, the break was called to an end quickly, and it was time for you to leave again. Minhyuk kissed his daughter’s cheek and then her forehead, making her giggle more. She returned the favour, kissing his cheek in the most adorable way, making him pout. 

“You're gonna be a good girl for mommy, right, princess?” He whispered, sparkling eyes mirroring Yujin’s. She nodded and hugged him as a final goodbye. “I love you.” He told her, eyes closing as he held the back of her head with one of his hands.

“I love you too, daddy.” She smiled.

Once he set her down, he turned to you, pressing a quick kiss to your lips before you both had to wave goodbye to him and the other members as they resumed their filming. When Minhyuk came back home late at night, he insisted that the little visit had made the filming go smoother.
