Astronomer au for the ask game 🥺

i love the stars! - oda was a somewhat famous astronomer that taught dazai about it. he carries the memories of that with him a lot - armed detective agency? more like stargazing agency haha (they're a team of astronomers) - 15skk met eachother on the same rooftop (they both wanted to look at the stars) and they got intoa scuffle because no that's chuuya's personal stargazing spot no it's dazai's no it's - shibusawa is only called a collector because he sews constellations and planets onto some of his clothes - the hunting dogs are just a famous team of astronomers that have discovered some constellations and planets

Dazai keeping track of the different phases of the moon and he's the type to blow up Chuuya's phone when the next lunar eclipse comes with lots of photos of the night sky. Chuuya doesn't text back immediately because he was trying to sleep, but he sees the messages timestamped for almost two am, and he does marvel at the photos, but then asks what the hell Dazai is doing awake when he complained earlier in the day about having an exam to study for.

When Chuuya has downtime at work, as he's preparing free samples to put out on the counter, he invites Dazai to do a really quick coffee tasting with a pastry. Chuuya will tell Dazai with a serious face to really sip and let the coffee settle on his tongue and try to make out the aroma and flavors he's experiencing. Dazai nods, almost chugs his coffee instead, waits a few seconds, and says it just takes like black coffee to him and Chuuya almost facepalms. He's supposed to taste notes of hazelnut and cocoa.

Dazai's favorite part of the coffee tastings is definitely the pastry though.

Dazai having a special journal he paid extra to have customized and the little lock attached is in the shape of a star, and it's colored navy, purple, and black all swirly like galaxies and it's covered in stickers worn from him carrying it around with him every he goes, to class or not.

Planetarium dates. Dazai nerding out and pointing out to Chuuya every constellation whether he wants/cares to know or not. They find a standing telescope just outside on the top floor and use it to stargaze. Chuuya's so busy looking through the lens until he gets jumpscared when Dazai's eyes suddenly come into view because Dazai's on the other side of the telescope with his face against it. It's not funny (it is, Dazai looks like a bug under a microscope)

Dazai studying at the coffee shop Chuuya works at, and sometimes Chuuya is the one stealing glances at him and seeing Dazai's table in a state of total disarray, strewn with open notebooks, textbooks, his laptop, a half-finished mug of coffee and a pastry he put off to the side and forgot about. He's the embodiment of chaos even down to the things he orders. There is no "usual" with Dazai, whether it's to keep Chuuya on his toes or not. Dazai asks for the usual, and it's a trick question because there isn't something he orders enough that Chuuya can consider a usual, and Dazai just lightly chides him for not knowing him well enough by now after all the money he spends there.

Something about stargazing in the parks late at night with a blanket out on the ground for them to sit on in the middle of autumn as the temperature continues to fall hits different. Dazai absolutely can't stand the cold, and he's rocking back and forth cradling his thermos of hot coffee that Chuuya made for him, his breath coming out in tiny, white puffs and his teeth chattering as he keeps pointing to the stars above them. Chuuya's rolling his eyes and throwing blankets at Dazai every time he complains about it being too cold.

AHEM- before i type anything please know my brain is silly stupid and may forget a few things so if you've got any questions- *furiously points to my ask box*

anyways anyways!

About Y/n:

y/n is an astronomer living in an observatory they inherited from their grandfather in the outskirts of a small town. y/n wanted to become an astronaut but sadly due to the stroke they suffered they feel they can no longer become one >:'( y/n had suffered from a stroke and became partially paralyzed in their left side (hemiplegia) they can still move these limbs but with great difficulty.

with y/n spending more and more time alone their grandfather had gotten concerned and gifted them a companion animatronic (he got them custom sun and moon themed because he loves his grandchild very much) so they wouldn't get lonely (also sun and moon help y/n with shopping and other chores yknow)

y/n spends most of their time indoors studying and researching, this has led to poor selfcare as y/n will often sleep at their desk instead of their bed (sun and moon do not like this one bit)

About Sun and Moon:

In the beginning y/n didn't like sun or moon AT ALL, they felt it was unnecessary because "I don't need someone messing up my very important organisation! they'll just get in the way!" *cut to papers and pens scattered across the floor*

Sun and Moon are companion bots, though they also count as care bots. They don't really care about space or the world at first and only did what they we're built to do until they hear y/n rambling and muttering to themselves and get curious and ask what's up. *CUT TO SUN AND MOON GOING STARRY EYED LISTENING TO Y/N TALK ABOUT SPACE*

They've slowly made a bond and often share days and nights talking about all the possibilities of other planets, aliens, whats inside a black hole and what-not.

Sun and Moon charge through solar power and cable. sometimes they lie about their cable being faulty so y/n can come outside with them. "cmon y/n! we need to charge and our cable is brokenn you dont want us to lose power do youu :(" "YOU GO TO TOWN ON YOUR OWN WHY DO I NEED TO COME WITH YOU OUTSIDE???" and then y/n goes with them anyways lolol

extra notes:

-y/n does not die and is not dying in this au! -y/n was living in the observatory before they had their stroke so it's not built with the easiest ways to get up and down the levels (y/n mostly stays upstairs and only leaves for bathroom breaks)

A lot of ppl get confused bc they look so alike. England would think that he's yelling at his dearly detested rival, only to later realize that he'd been verbally assaulting the poor Knight. Hospitaller would so confused as to why 'Templar' was chatting up some girl and actually getting a positive response, when the Templar he knew was a lost cause when it came to flirting with anybody else but Gilbert (Templar doesn't even realize that he's flirting).
