2023 Updates!

Hi, friends!

I've spent the entire Mars + Mercury Rx re-doing my website, honing in on what I want to write about, what I want to say, what art I want to create, and how to move forward. I took Late Nov until Mid-January deciding how I want to show up in the world since 2020 completely destroyed my career AND my performing gigs. I have realized that I have an entirely clean slate, and I should make the best of it!

Not only am I in school, but I am a performer, and have a Patreon where I get to express myself, and share my favorite retro or retro-sounding movies, artists, music, and games with everyone. It is a collab with my partner, The Astral Stereo Project. Together we are Starship Lounge Productions [ formerly Van Astral Production ]. We have a lot planned for this year, so if you're into that, give us a follow!

I am also a singer and lyricist for a band called Gemini Paladin. We just released our first E.P. called " A Stellar Occultation ", and you can check it out on bandcamp, and support us if you'd like!

As for the website, The Mad Sorceress Grimoires, I listened to trusted friends talk about my strengths as a writer and artist, and re-did the appearance of my blog, as well as edit all of the blog posts. You can check out my posts here, like my post about working with the energy of Mars in a Sagittarian 8th House [ my natal placement! ]. I figured since Mars is direct in the opposite sign of Sag [ Gemini ], it's a good time to hype the post up again.

Anyway, I am SO amped up for this year. I feel like I have been planning stuff since LAST year, and I am finally able to tackle these projects.

Hello!

Gosh how long has it been since I've written anything? A sudden urge has overcome me to write and to write more frequently. Right now some things going on well yesterday we had a

Moon conjunct Saturn - Aquarius 6 Degrees

which would bring in some issues with responsibility. i know i had a long list of things to do yesterday and ended up doing anything because i wanted to do nothing! so emotions were definitely getting in the way but also propelling us because hey yesterday i did nothing but brainstormed about my blog and today i'm doing something!

Right now there's

Sun sextile Pluto - Scorpio sextile Capricorn 4 degrees

so there's some small changes coming about but will truly serve you in the long run. you're feeling good about who you are today and there's a little extra boost of energy!!

Sun conjunct Mars - Scorpio

this will REALLY bring in some extra energies! If there's something you've been meaning to do career or school-wise, get it done! This is a great energy to just take some fricking action and walk the talk. No more "I'm planning on" "Soon" or "I'm about to" it's more like -> "I'm currently" "Right now" "As we speak". Which is such a lovely energy! Just like watch out for some anger issues, blow some steam off in whatever way comes to mind 👀

pay close attention to the area where Virgo rules. this is the area of life where you are wanting more... waiting for more... and searching for more. you are craving abundance and you want it all. Although important to note that this is a currently debilitated transit so there are difficulties approaching it. we are being prompted to redefine our ideas of love and list of things we truly need and want. Almost more like we are re-categorizing. Just keep remembering that you are worthy of love and you deserve it. the virgo will try to tell you that...

Moon in Sagittarius in the 4th House, Ascendant in Virgo. 

Individuals with this aspect can have emotional instability who are easily influenced by others. Self expression is difficult for these natives and putting it into action is never easy and they are pretty elusive and reserved. The emotional self and out self do not coexist harmoniously. I think for most of my life I never really understood my emotions or the emotions of others, setting y expectations of people too high (Virgo) and then getting confused as to why the other person could not meet them. It was let down after let down. I also found myself in lots of toxic relationships, vulnerability was never something I handled well. I have always had a problem with needing to help people who are broken, my personality just wants to nurture and protect people. Because of this aspect of my personality it makes me a magnet for negative, toxic people, and until recently I welcomed them all with open arms letting them wreck havoc on my life, and when I say wreck havoc I mean they really fucked my life up. All in all it is my fault for letting my guard down and letting them. 

I act according to how you act, I pick up on vibes and body languages really quickly and I act accordingly. But I don’t act directly, its subtle and if you are empathic you will pick up on my moodiness immediately, but if you are not, my moods can be very confusing for another to decipher. I have this issue where I desire emotional contact with society and people in general but I don’t at the same time, I want security and constant reassurance but in order to do that I have to put myself out there as well and that’s not an easy thing for me to do. I am not an outwardly loving person, I show people I care by following through on my word, listening to them when they talk (just to be clear it is insanely hard for me to listen 100% when someone is talking to me), I also show it through food, if I cook for you, trust me, I care. I have no idea how to connect with people face to face, there’s always an awkwardness and pauses in conversations with new people make me want to die so I avoid meeting new people and much as i can but I hate that I am like that because I want to be able to just connect with people so bad. I have an argument going on in my head, “do they like me”? “how do they feel about me”? I may look and act like I don’t care what people think about me but deep down inside I do. I am very sensitive inside and most people would never know that because I don’t want them to see how vulnerable I really am.

How do you delineate Jupiter on AC both in Leo 3° 33'?

Jupiter is an amplifier, a magnifier of dramatic proportions, it is the expander; where Mercury (it’s opposite) takes us into the microscopic, Jupiter takes us out into the macro. In other words, think BIG.

As for how this translates to the ascendant: when Jupiter conjuncts the ascendant, regardless of the sign, it’s going to give a little bit of that expansive touch. It’s going to exaggerate certain features, and in your case, perhaps Leo rising features. Maybe it means you have a special fixation on your hair, eyes, forehead, chest (my Jupiter squares my Leo rising, I have incredibly thick hair and huge eyes, typical Leo rising features made highly exaggerated). Maybe it means that you’re especially drawn to ingenuity or being in managerial positions (even if it means being your own boss, not being a follower). It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re loud or boisterous or outgoing (if you are, nothing wrong with that, you’d fit the bill), or a total drama Queen-stereotypical Leo rising with a perpetual crown on your head. It means that you should focus on Leo themes as you navigate this life which are typically centered around creativity, being loved and giving love, and honoring your inner child. Your Jupiter sitting exact on that AC only reinforces that. I bet Aquarius and Sagittarius people will help you out well with that.

Jupiter could also be in your 12th or 1st house (unless it is exactly conjunct which is pretty miraculous). If it’s the first, you’ll have some Sagittarius features. If it’s the twelfth, you’ll probably have some unresolved lessons related to Jupiter “themes,” (focusing on the big picture, being independent, philosophy vs. education, etc etc). I would look to see what aspects Jupiter makes to your other planets because it seems it wants to be the co-chart rulers with the Sun and is very integral to the layout of your natal chart!
