@the-world-of-naiyara​ oh i think he looks nothing like his original design in terms of like. approachability. and the game going streamlined anime style/mobage style actually kind of irks me no matter how much “easier” it is to do it. i mean i dont rly like much of what SE has done business practice wise anyway so this is just another reason not to play.

PRINCE WRATH MAYBE THE REAL DEVIL: THEORY

Alright, I was intrigued when I saw a lot of theories about Prince Wrath's true name and if he is indeed the real Devil. So I reread Kingdom of the Wicked for the first time bc I'm freaking excited for the release of book 2. And here's what I've gathered/noticed:

I'm just going to break down what I've gathered in KOTW.

In Chapter 10 of the Kingdom of the Wicked, Emilia asked Wrath when she summoned him:

"What, exactly, should I call you? Oh, Feared and Mighty Seven? General Commander of Hell? Or Prince Wrath?"

And this was Wrath's answer:

"One day you'll call me Death. For now, Wrath will do."

In Chapter 11 this is how Emilia described Wrath:

"...He was death and rage and fire and anyone stupid enough to forget that would be consumed by his inferno."

I've never really paid attention or give meaning to it at first because he's Wrath, a General Commander of Hell and like God of War. And what made me more curious was when Emilia mentioned his 'inferno'. Emilia encountered Envy, Greed and Lust but she never mentioned anything like inferno in describing them.

Then when I arrived in Chapter 37 this is what I've noticed when Emilia saw Claudia in hysteric after her scrying outside the monastery; (The pink texts are Claudia's lines)

"What change did you see?" Emilia asked Claudia.

"Angelus mortis. He's coming and going, and is a cunning thief who stole the stars and drank them dry. He will take you. You're already gone. In the end, you choose. But he's also chosen. I'll mourn. I am mourning. Like leaves on the wind."

"The angel of death claimed you. Changed you. You are here, but not there, there is where you will be, your life is ended. Same but different. For eternity."

"...He's coming. No, no, no. He's here, no longer there, but here. He walks among us, hidden in shadow. Like death." Claudia continued.

"...He is the chosen. He is death. He shouldn't be able to leave-those are the rules. But rules are made for breaking. Like bones. He loves to break bones. I think it's the marrow he's after."

"....and now we'll all burn because he's here and mad, and the gates... the gates... she said to protect the gates. But he's not chained to them anymore, is he?

"He said he's not ready, and he will not move. Time is slipping like water through his hands. But still he waits. He waits and waits. He wants her to choose. He knows she will. Soon. ..."

In Claudia's visions she described the Devil as Death. Emilia described Wrath as Death and Wrath called himself Death. Claudia said that the Devil is free from his chains and could roam around the human world. If Pride truly was the Devil then why is he not in the human world like the rest of his brothers? Yes, we've seen Pride in the end but even then he did not take his true form but rather took Antonio's.

And who among the Princes of Hell loves to break bones and death and could walk freely around the mundane world? Prince Wrath. And who among the princes was the one collecting souls? Is it not Prince Wrath? Tell me if his not because in the end, Emilia found out that Wrath's agenda was finding another soul for his freedom. The

witches are called as Stella Strega in translation Star Witch. Claudia said, "He's a cunning thief who stole the stars and drank them dry".

Wrath was also eager to know who kills all the brides for 'Pride'. He's mad and hungry for vengeance and death. Also, we know that Wrath doesn't just take the witches that was chosen as bride, he gives them a day to make up their mind and choose.

Here's more, when Wrath saved Emilia's life after the Viperidae in Chapter 21:

"...He tilted my head back, parted my lips and poured nectar down my throat. I tried thrashing against the cloying taste of it, so sweet and thick that I almost choked, but I'd long since lost the ability to move on my own."

Emilia described the taste of whatever Wrath gave her as sweet and thick that she almost choked. In Chapter 38, Claudia said something similar about poison:

"...The poison was sweet, I still taste it. Lingering. Stick, stick, sticking in my throat, choking."

I can guarantee that the reason it was sticky in her throat was because it was thick that she was choking.

I thought about the poison Claudia was talking about, in the Garden of Eden, the apple that both Eve and Adam ate was not poisonous so I don't think it's related to that sin in the bible. However, the only thing that could have had a poison would be a serpents. And who has a serpent as their symbol? Prince Wrath.

Remember what Claudia said to Emilia?

"The angel of death claimed you."

Now, in Chapter 41 Nonna said this to Emilia:

"...You've been Marked by a prince of the underworld in a different way."

".... She must have used some spell because suddenly a tiny, shimmering S gleamed back at me. I squinted. Or was that a snake? .... It was the place Wrath's tongue moved across me the night I'd almost died in the Viperidae attack. "

Why would Claudia say to Emilia that an angel of death has claimed her? Emilia has been Marked by Wrath, only by him.

And I wonder why Wrath wasn't making a move to get the Horns from Emilia. My theory is because maybe he's the Devil and he wants Emilia to be his bride that's why he doesn't bother taking it away from her regardless of the 'protection bond' between them. Also Wraths insistence with the blood trade to Emilia. He knows from the start what she'd done, the accidental engagement. I'm pretty sure it's not just because of making her part of his House or requirement of the protection spell. There's something more behind his insistence on the blood trade.

Or there's also a possibility that Pride was the one who was cursed to remain in the underworld because he was the one who stole La Prima's firstborn's soul and thus called the Devil or was mistaken as the Devil. That would explain why Pride could not come to the human world himself. Pride might have been the cursed one but Wrath is the true Devil. There's a theory I read that Pride and Wrath might have an equal power. I mean in the bonus chapter from Wrath's POV, there's a scene in the end where Wrath released a little bit of his power that made the ceiling rumbled.

"We stood there, gazes locked in silent battle, each of us unwilling to look away first. I allowed a bit of the magic I'd been tamping down to break free. It was only a fraction of the power churning through my veins, but the ceiling rumbled. His focus jerked away as dust floated like the ashes of my enemies."

"He'd forgotten who he was speaking to."

"... I could no longer tell if the inferno responded to his wrath or mine."

"I'll keep that in mind, Highness" Wrath said to Pride

This time, I didn't pretend to bow.

These moments really made me think about Wrath being the true Devil. I mean, he released a bit of his power then the ceiling began to rumble. Pride was the first one to break their staring contest because of the rumbling of the ceiling. And the line, "He'd forgotten who he was talking to." I'm certain its not just because he's the Prince of wrath and like a god of War. And lastly, why would the inferno respond to Wrath? This made me think of that time Emilia mentioned his inferno. If Pride could also summon or kind-of command these inferno then that would prove that he and Wrath are equal when it comes to power.

It never occurred to me that Wrath could be the Devil the first time I read the book. I was curious of him yes, I know there's something more to him but never the Devil. However, it changed after reading some theories that it made me think of these little clues pointing on who really is the Devil. I mean, I honestly think Claudia dropped a lot of clues from that scene. It was a foreshadowing of what will happen to Emilia at the end of the book also plenty of clues.

Of course we don't know yet who Pride is and his character so it'll probably be confusing once book 2 is released. But I really think Wrath is the Devil. (If not I think my heart would be broken.)

Seeing the post of @astreia-oniria @amrrygae and @vanillaamoursucrethings I feel like to say some final words as goodbye for my dear characters,that has been with me throught all those years with me.My most deep gratitude:

-Gratitude towards Nathaniel,love of my otome life. MY LOVE! No other LI on a otome catch my attention as he did. He has been always so lonely. He suffers from the memory of his painful childhood. He loves Candy more than anything, but he is unable to shows his affection as he'd like towards her.The relationship to his father and how his show still influence his life was so bittersweet to watch, it made my eyes misty.Strong,witty,passionate,he was fascinating. All in all, I must say that I hope now he and Candy can be happy together after overcome every obstacles.

-Gratitute towards Candy, I love her, she’s the first ever otome heroine that I’ve grown attached to and I will defend her to the ends of the earth.Granted, she can be a bit naive at times but one thing’s for sure is that she selflesh, caring and human at the same time. I also loved her humility and her being giving to people that she loves.life project to fulfill. I liked the fact she always has a life project to fulfill. Her passion for her job and her friends is the driving force of her character I still find her adorable to this day

-Gratitude towards Castiel,sweet tomato boy,fascinating mix of sass, humor and a manager of sorts,trying to keep order and comfort for the ones he loved.He is earnest and reserved, and always does the right thing. But by the side of he becomes more open and easy-going towards everyone.His development was one of the best I'd ever seen.

-Gratitude towards Rayan,he is so easy-going, so poetic, so pleasant, so gentleman and caring with everybody. He can make anyone feel at ease. He seems so confident and perfect but I liked how we could see into his thoughts and come to realise that he had his own insecurities and anxieties.Easily i can say he is one the most pure souls on the game.

-Gratitude towards Priya,so sure of herself.She wasn’t never afraid to take the bull by the horns so to speak, and make her own way,i always admire that part of her personality and her guts of steel.

-Gratitude towards Hyun,one of the funniest and most adorable character on the game,some of his clumsiness makes me laugh so much.

Thanks to our friends as Yael,Chani,Alexy,Rosa,Nina, Morga,Gabin,Kim and Violet for the friendship showed.

And mostly,gratitude to @chinomiko for creating such amazing games that turn to be into such important thing for so much people around the world.

Because this has been haunting me ever since I finished 'Kingdom of the Wicked', do you have any guesses on Wrath's real name?

(What if it actually is Samael? That might be hilarious, actually... Emilia just being like 😶)

Anyway I was reading a bit into the myth of the seven deadly sins (as one does) and apparently one of the aliases for the prince of Wrath is Samael...or do you think Kerri will come up with her own name?

Am I reading too much into this? Probably. Will I be completely wrong and be a clown? Most likely. Yet here we are...

Okay so @astreia-oniria wrote this post which hypothesizes that Wrath's name is Samael, and @sirendeepity also guessed at it in her live-react post.

I think it is totally possible that Wrath's name is Samael. I also think it is possible that Wrath is not who we think he is. He could be the Devil. (UPDATE: he does say he's wrath, but I still think there may be some omissions of fact happening).

I honestly don't know anything about Christianity and the lore around the angels/princes of hell/deadly sins because I wasn't raised with any of this stuff. (Seriously, I would get bad grades in english lit because I couldn't recognize biblical metaphors) So my guess is as good as anyone's.

I don't know Kerri's writing well enough to know if she is going to rely on lore and stories or make things up. KOTW is the only book I've read by her. I just hope she doesn't pick anything too cliche (Satan or Lucifer would be boring).

Is it weird if I say I hope she chooses a sexy name? I want her to choose a sexy name

Since it’s been *guilty cough* a while since I’ve posted, I decided to do a recap as a refresher for people. This covers Parts I-VI. If you don’t need the refresher, skip to Part VII

Like a Lonely House: A Nessian Story Of Betrayal and Redemption

Synopsis: Fifty years after the Hybernian War, Prythian is finally at peace. For Cassian and Nesta, anamosity has turned to something more amorous, and they stand on a precipice of something that scares and excites them both. However, it only takes one night of weakness on Cassian’s part to change everything, and with a young Illyrian prince gaining power in the North, Nesta agrees to an marriage alliance, both to protect her family and get her as far away from Cassian as possible. As things unravel between them, Cassian begins to suspect there is something more deliberate seeking to keep them apart, and he struggles to uncover the truth and win Nesta back before it’s too late.

RECAP: The Story Thus Far...

After fifty years a long looks and mutual pining, Cassian and Nesta’s connection comes to a head on Starfall, where they consummate their relationship by finally sleeping together. The mating bond snaps into place sometime during their coupling, though neither verbally acknowledges it. Nesta leaves for Neva on a diplomatic mission the next day, with Cassian begging her to come see him the moment she returns, likely so they can finally discuss the bond they now both know is real.

The morning Nesta is due to return home, Cassian wakes in an unfamiliar part of Velaris with a female he doesn’t know. Though he remembers nothing from the night before, they are both naked, and it’s clear they’ve slept together. Cassian, dismayed that he’s unwittingly betrayed Nesta in a drunken romp, leaves the female and flies back to his own apartment.

Nesta has been there waiting for him, and when scents what he’s done she’s furious. The two argue as Cassian insists he doesn’t know how this happened and Nesta taunts him, asking whether he really believed someone like her would actually want a low-born bastard such as himself.

Sick with grief, Nesta runs off, and when Cassian can’t find her, he goes to Elain and Azriel to ask his friend for help. Azriel is already awake when Cassian arrives, the shadows continually warning him something in Velaris is amiss. When Cassian arrives, Azriel tries to get his friend to tell him what’s wrong. When Cassian sees Elain, the shield he’s been holding around him collapses, and Azriel and Elain both scent the other female on Cassian and know what he’s done.

Furious at him for betraying her sister, Elain slaps Cassian before going to find Nesta, insisting she knows where to find her. She arrives as a seedy tavern to discover Nesta is indeed there and is stinking drunk. She’s sitting in the lap of a high fae male who she clearly seems intent on sleeping with, despite her state. Elain kicks the males out and tries to comfort Nesta, who sobs in her drunken state about her broken relationship with Cassian.

Several days later, Rhys announces that Azriel has been invited to a meeting in the Northern Illyrian province of Macar, whose prince Adan Demir has previously refused to open his borders or meet with Rhysand. Cassian begs to go instead, desperate to get away from the situation with Nesta, but Rhys informs him that Adan specifically invited Azriel, likely because Az’s father was a high-ranking Macaran Lord.

When Azriel arrives in Macar, he meets the young Şehzade Adan, who is already so powerful that he requires nine syphons, two more than Cassian and Azriel. Azriel is surprised to find Adan warm and open-minded, noting that the prince and his liberal polices are a marked departure from the Macar he remembers. Adan reveals that he wishes to make a more formal alliance with Rhysand, and proposes a political marriage between himself and Nesta. Worried how it will hurt Cassian, Azriel nevertheless agrees to pass the message along to Nesta.

Back in Velaris, the inner circle expresses concern over Nesta’s reaction to the match. However, she surprises them by agreeing to meet with Adan, likely to punish Cassian. However, Nesta always privately contemplates the lingering guilt she feels for allowing Feyre to go into the forest alone when she was still a human child, and vows to do what she can to make sure there is peace in the Night Court for her sisters’ sake.

The day Nesta is due to leave for Macar, Cassian comes to the house to give Nesta a gift for her journey. Though she initially refuses it, she eventually relents and accept the small knife, called a јатаган, which Illyrian women often wear for special occasions. It is later revealed that the јатаган was Cassian’s mother’s, and that he’d kept in the hopes Nesta would someday where it at their wedding.

Once in Illyria, Nesta meets Adan finds herself briefly attracted to him, especially as he makes her sensual promises and touches her. However, when they kiss Nesta notes how wrong it feels to be intimate with anyone but Cassian. Scenting her discomfort, Adan relents and promises her they will get to know each other first. However, Nesta despairs at the idea of letting Adan bed her when they are married.

While Nesta is away, Cassian broods, castigating himself for what he’d done to Nesta while Mor tries to comfort him. When she points out how hard it must be to see Adan courting her so soon after their affair has ended, Cassian begins to put the pieces together, wondering aloud if the Macarans didn’t have something to do with his betrayal. He vows, with Mor’s help, to prove he’s been framed and win Nesta back before it’s too late.

Back in Illyria, Rhys tells Nesta that he understands the position that she’d be putting herself in if she marries Adan and she needn’t do it if she doesn’t want, but she tells him she failed her sisters once when they were starving and she didn’t try and feed them, she won’t make the mistake of failing to act again.

The next morning, Nesta and Adan formalize the betrothal agreement. Nesta refused to speak to anyone about how she’s feeling when they return the Velaris, shutting herself in the library instead to brood.

Cassian, who’d spent the intervening time trying to corroborate his suspicion he’d been used, senses Rhys and the others have returned and rushes to the House of Wind. Feyre warns him not to bother Nesta but he ignores her, going to the library instead. At first Nesta sends him away, but then she asks if he will stay. They remain in silence as Nesta cries over her engagement. Only when she falls asleep does Cassian carry her to bed.

Cassian then begs Azriel to enlist Elain’s help, and after she grudgingly agrees to share Cassian’s suspicions with Nesta, Cassian flies to Illyria to continue hunting for proof.

The night before the Macarans are due to arrive at the Hewn City to formalize the betrothal, Cassian still isn’t back, and Nesta and the others welcome the  High Lords for a dinner party before the Illyrians come. Both Tamlin and Eris antagonize Nesta about her relationship with Cassian, and she storms off. When Cassian arrives about at the palace and hears what she’s endured, he goes to her door to confess what he suspects and to tell her he loves her. Though she doesn’t respond, he is sure she heard him.

The morning the Macarans arrival Nesta is still contemplating what Cassian told her the night before, though she acknowledges it doesn’t have any bearing on her decision. When Adan arrives in a great show of pomp and circumstance, Nesta uses her power to show him she is not intimidated by him.

Cassian does his best to remain calm as the Macarans arrive, though his composure is nearly shattered when he spots a familiar face in the crowd: the mysterious female in whose bed the entire nightmare began.

Not only is she in the Hewn City after all these weeks, but she’s traveling in the Macaran retinue...

Sorry if my words came off as saying you were asking for people to come back. That wasn’t what I meant. You’re all good. I think your positivity is definitely in the right place, and comes from the heart.

I personally was bullied from like four all the way well into my early twenties. I’ve seen it all. But my point is, when is enough enough. Why do we constantly have to berate people for hoping for some sort of resolution? Why do people constantly have to attack each other? You are the curator of your own experiences and if you don't like something, unfollow. Like don’t keep going after a person for having an opinion different to your own.

This goes for honestly everything, but MCL has been incredibly volatile for a while now, and it’s scaring off a lot of good content creators, of varying forms, from wanting to do anything for themselves or fans.

New Fic Announcement

I Do Bad Things with You - Elriel

Eeek! I’m so excited to be sharing this. I’ve had this prompt sitting on my Pinterest board for years and I cannot believe that I finally got around to it. When I originally saw this prompt, I immediately thought Elriel. So, I’ve been working on parts for it over the last two weeks. I’m currently on chapter 3. I’m hoping to have the first part up next weekend. 🤞 Not sure how many parts this will be yet. I’m hoping to do weekly updates with it, but no promises. 😘 Just a forewarning, this is going to be a very dark AU. There will be violence, sexual assault, probably smut, and every other warning you could possibly think of. I will try to remember to post trigger warnings on the updates, but I forget things easily. I just wanted to warn you ahead of time. For a little tease, I’ve posted the prompt that inspired this fic below. Enjoy!

I finished Cursed 😭😭 RIP me I bet it’s going to take at least 2 years before the next season is released (if it gets renewed but I think it will).

I figured out who the Weeping Monk was, now I am afraid they are going to make the Red Sparrow pirate captain Guenevere, which on one side I would like, but on the other I worry about the love triangle. I already caught vibes from Arthur, but honestly the sex scene with Nimue was so lacklustre, I just want my ship to sail.

I hate Iris soooo much, I hope we get to see her dying slowly and painfully. I’m not exactly sure who or what Morgana is now, but I’m looking forward to see her become a big bad bwitch (hopefully not too evil). 

Squirrel is Percival, so cute, I knew he was destined to be a knight. Gawain is currently sleeping/being resuscitated and Lancelot already started his redemption arc (I hope his hair grow back).

Nimue is on track to become the lady of the lake she is destined to be lmao.
