I think being able to separate clothing from gender is an important part of being able to present how you want to present.

Of course, there is a lot of cultural pressure around certain pieces of clothing being associated with certain gender presentations. However, I find that clothing is not the main thing that helps me with androgyneity. For me, that would be shapewear in the form of hip pads, butt pads (these are basically boxer shorts with inserts for specifically shaped pads), and breast forms.

Here is how I present most days I go out compared with a more masc look:

The main differences between these are the makeup and the shapewear for the femme look. Otherwise, the cargo pants are the same, and the vneck t-shirts are the same brand.

I need a whole fic where the Cerritos is mistaken for the Enterprise by some type of alien with very high intelligence but very poor visual recognition, for whatever reason.

And Freeman either can't or is too scared to convince them that they're not the Enterprise, so she starts desperately assigning everyone to various roles. Boimler gets assigned as Data, and since he and Mariner are the only people on the ship who play string instruments, the captain orders them to put together some sort of "symphony" because the aliens have heard that that's a thing on the Enterprise.

And it's just Mariner and Boimler frustratedly trying to figure out how to combine her electric guitar skills and his traditional violin skills into something suitably "symphonic" (i.e. thematically trying to combine her more lax/modern way of doing things with his more strict/traditional way).

Saw a video on Instagram of an American girl complaining about the other European teammates in the online game she was playing telling her to be quiet and shut up and honestly I was going to side with her because I know that a lot of the time women are mestreated and looked down on online games that are prevalently male spaces with toxic ass dudes, but at some point the German dude just says 'she's been talking non stop about random shit the whole game and I just want to play and relax, why do americans talk so much' and HELP LMAFAOAJSNSKD why is this so real.
