Seeing a lot of comparisons between vaultghoul and reylo and:

But for me, that's bullshit.

I personally checked out of the star wars films when it was clear finnrey was being shelved in favor of reylo

Because finnrey had the chemistry, and I could feel that reylo was being forced. I could tell from the writing. I could tell from the acting. I could tell from the interviews.

Such is not the case with vaultghoul. Is it a slightly fucked up ship? Yeah, but we're all freaks here.

The chemistry is there. It was there from the jump. It's easily perceived in every scene, and none of it feels forced.

That doesn't mean vaultknight doesn't fit; their smiles are sunshine. Their heart-eyes are sweet as apple pie. I'm not mad about it, but the chemistry just doesn't quite seep through the screen as easily.

Instead, I found myself yelling "DO YOU NOT SEE THE WAY THEY'RE LOOKING AT YOU?" every time Max had a scene with Dane.

This is a ramble, but what I'm saying is: chemistry in media is a thing, and everyone perceives it differently. I didn't get reylo. And I don't see vaultghoul as a second-coming of that ship.

It's its own thing, in its own fucked up little way. And it's fun.

The fact that Taylor was working on the TTPD section of the tour for 8 or 9 months means she was ideating and creating while literally on tour already doing a 3.5 hour show night after night. As if that wasn’t enough she was also releasing re-recordings, planning album rollouts, directing videos and actively recording stuff. Most creative people would be hard pressed to juggle more than one of those things at a time and she’s doing them all at once not to mention we know for a fact her output isn’t slowing down anytime soon thanks to rep & debut tv + directing a feature film like!!! the size of the creative bandwidth in her brain needs to be studied.

How do I get started in drag?

I wish there was one simple answer I could give you, but it’s not a very one-size-fits-all process! This blog isn’t really for advice, but here’s some questions to consider for yourself and learn for your situation:

What do you want for your drag? Do you want to perform in shows, or would you prefer avenues of drag that don’t involve performing on a stage? Try makeup/makeup tutorials, try costuming, try dancing! Experiment and discover what you want for your art!

Is there a drag scene in your area? Go to the shows! Get to know the performers! If you want to do shows, ask them what you need to do to get into a local show!

Are there open shows in your local drag scene? Find them, and find out how to sign up! Open shows are shows that you don’t need to be ‘booked’ for/asked to perform in. They’re ways for performers to get more experience performing and they’re great for getting to know the local scene better. Who knows—maybe you’ll be booked for other shows after performing in some!

I came VERY late to the whole shebang, chuckling over the many tales of psychotic machiavellianism. Drowning in pools, marrying and murdering people to get their house, that one kid who surrounded their house with a hedge maze so their sim pissed themselves daily trying to run to work

Finally came to it in my thirties, and maybe I'm doing it wrong. I shun the mean socials, I (usually) care for their needs, I get invested even in my "throwaway" characters and want to see them succeed

But good god, the chaos happens whether I will or nil. It's fucking amazing.

sorry in advance if I'm insane for sending this but I just wanted to say that circa 2021 - 2022 and maybe last year too I used to be camped out in your inbox sending the equivalent to love letters to you whenever I could!!!!! I had a major crush on you but we live in opposite subcontinents lol so it was never gonna happen not to mention we're not even mutuals. at some point I started spending more time outside of my house and being less lonely so the crush started to dissipate since I'd spend less time online to see your posts, and you also started posting less, so without realizing I stopped sending them. I was the author of many asks you received and I haven't sent anything in probably over a year so I wanted to say I still think you're such a fascinating person and I aspire to be as cool as you one day. I hope to be half as smart as you at some point in my life. You're stunning also. And I hope people in your life will adore your presence as much as I did at one point, even if it was from a great distance <3 wherever your life goes from here I'll always be hoping you're happy

I may be biased but I don’t think you’re insane for recognizing an interesting fun person 🙂‍↕️ especially circa 2021-2022 genuinely was my peak in every sense of the word I was like a force of nature then. I guarantee you are way cooler than me and also very kind thank you 🤞🤞
