I'm still here! :D

Right I haven't blogged much just been busy and burnt out! I wanna do this blog to show what it's like in my life and unfortunately the times when I have my burnt out days(even weeks!) I end up shutting down and not wanting to have much interaction, but basically been doing a load of gigs! Camping! Seeing a lot of people which for me I find very overwhelming! I push my limits because I'm stubborn and if I get knocked down I will get back up and take the punches but then I end up burning out. Luckily the people I count as family and family they understand when I feel like I've push my limits. Again all of this is a learning curve for me I still have bad habits for coping and of course unlearning them and finding new strategies for day to day stress! Haha

About me!

What can I say about myself? Well, first of all, I am technically retarded. I know a lot of people don’t like that term and rightly so, but it’s something that I can now joke about myself. I was diagnosed with Asperger’s when I was five and since then, for the past sixteen years, life has been somewhat confusing to me. I’m as subtle as a brick with all the social skills of one as well and I have the feeling that I also have anxiety. I sound such a fun person right about now! But in all seriousness, it’s not something that I can’t live with. I’ve pretty much accepted the fact that I’m always going to be different so I just embrace it rather than try and assimilate. Oh, I do try, believe me, but nine times out of ten, it’s easier to do my own thing

than it is to make others happy. 

I also happen to be shorter than average, with me peaking at the ultimate height of 5′2 which puts me in the hobbit category. This not only makes me look cute, but it means that I physically cannot be the bigger person when it comes to arguments and falling outs. 

Okay, why have I set up this blog and what is it for? In a nutshell, it’s about me and my travels/adventures. You see, I live in the middle of nowhere in a county called Lincolnshire. Lincolnshire is famous for its crops and as a result, the land is very flat. Very flat and very boring. The nearest village and therefore the nearest bus route is three miles away. See where I’m getting at here? You can drive, walk, rely on a neighbour, rely on parents or get the connecting bus. All of which aren’t without their problems. I can’t drive, I hate walking and can’t at the minute thanks to a rugby injury(don’t piss around with rugby balls, kids!), not allowed to rely on neighbours all the time, same goes with parents and the connecting bus is hit and miss and even then, you have to pay. In short, country life sucks. 

So, when presented with the opportunity earlier this year to work in America, I said why not? Can’t be any worse than staying at home all summer! So, with fifty six hours and twenty minutes until the first flight of the day, I am starting this blog! Tomorrow is packing day, then from Wednesday morning until Friday morning, it’s pretty much travelling, eating, or sleeping. Then, come next week, I’ll be working as a telephones operator at a ranch resort in the beautiful state of Wyoming!
