Yuno Nightshade, member of the Paradox faction and protector of the slums of Ninjago City.

From the rise of the Darkitect to the return of the Chaotic Faith, Yuno's witnessed many of the struggles faced by the Nexus Force. It was after this when she swore to avenge her fallen friend and protect his hometown of Ninjago City.

Finding friendship with certain figures of the city, and even love in the form of Rin Valentine, Yuno would end up witnessing the universe's next crisis, the Merge.

And where there's a crisis, the Nexus Force will answer the call once again.

When the Merge came to be, Dr. Albert Overbuild and the Nexus Force made it their immediate mission to help any and all of those who were affected by it, establishing refugee camps and providing with care, food, and any treatment needed at the Crossroads near Ninjago City.

It was no shock that many of the misplaced would wish to join their efforts too...

But just as it brought people from all over, it brought its own threats too. Creatures, monsters, and corporations who would exploit the victims of this new crisis.

The Nexus Force is spread thin across the universe in the efforts to work around the Merge, and with the Ninja who protect Ninjago gone, Dr. Overbuild needed new heroes to step up, much like he and the rest of the Force once did during the Rise of the Darkitect.

Heroes who no matter what they endured, or what they might've lost, are still willing to fight for this new world they can call home. True members of the Nexus Force.

Led by Albert himself, thus are the Protectors of the Crossroads born.

Hiya Lie is an Engineer of the Assembly, and Dr. Albert Overbuild's new protégé.

The prodigy of Shintaro, despite having the drive and skill to make her kingdom better, was always dismissed by Vangelis' guard. And when Queen Vania took over, she'd be too occupied fixing the damages done by its former tyrant.

But after the Merge led to Hiya meeting Dr. Overbuild, he saw the dreams of creation in her eyes, an eagerness he so distinctly remembers from his own youth.

Perhaps she too will amount to greatness...

Gehna is a saboteur of the Venture League and Kaus Vesta's inseparable partner.

Close friends back at Mars even far before the coming of the Merge, Gehna and Kaus joined together in any and all projects the other would come to think of. It was no surprise the two would continue to remain close even after the Merge landed them on the outskirts of Astor City.

And much like in the past, Gehna joined Kaus in the mission to bring down the corporations that'd seek to exploit the victims of the Merge. And if he would join the Nexus Force, so would she.

Kaus Vesta is an Inventor of the Assembly and a fighter of freedom.

The Martian pilot was among those who were misplaced by the Merge alongside his partner Gehna, but upon having spent some time in the world of the Merged Lands, he would find his new enemy.

Corporations of the world seek to take advantage of the Merge's chaos, and Kaus and Gehna would choose to oppose them.

It was on the day Dr. Overbuild and his Protectors of the Crossroads discovered the corporations' involvement in the disappearance of several victims of the Merge, when the beginning of a powerful alliance with Kaus could be made.

Sir Jacques Darian is a lost vampire of the Monster Realm and knight of the Sentinels.

Once upon a time, Jacques was an honor-bound member of a company of knights in centuries past, but their end came when they were trapped in the Monster Realm. Impressed by his skill, the Lord Vampyre spared Jacques and turned him into one of his own, fated to be a loyal servant forever.

But the day Rodney Rathbone and the Monster Fighters brought his tyranny to an end, Jacques was finally free... It wouldn't be until decades later, however, when the Merge came to be.

The age of Kings and Queens may be over, but not that of heroes. And in times of crisis, the Nexus Force could always use more of them.

Rohs'sa is a former Buggoid assassin now turned sniper of the Sentinels.

In the past, Lhuk'an of the Venture League heard the stories of the terrible Predator of Kitis and her targets within the arachnid tribes, the most fearsome of them all. Following the Merge, however, rumors of the orange-winged sharpshooter resurfaced.

After a search with Dr. Overbuild and Lhuk'an, it was to their surprise that they didn't find a fearsome assassin, but a caring protector of a small refuge of Merge survivors.

Heroism fit for the Nexus Force.

Xeno Blueblade is a Samurai of the Sentinels.

The huntsman Xeno is a master archer, wielding a special Imaginite-powered Sentinel longbow. But the greatest tools in his arsenal are the various arrows crafted out of several types of elemental Imaginite.

Ranging from fire, lightning or ice, Xeno is prepared for any sort of situation in the hunt for the Maelstrom Horde.

Meiko Komori is a Bat Formling of the Never-Realm and member of the Paradox.

The young Meiko was raised in a very loving and charitable family, following on her grandmother's footsteps from whom she also inherited her name.

But the opportunity to help others wouldn't truly come until she was wounded following the chaos of the Merge. Treated by the kind Dr. Annete Liang, Meiko was more than inspired by the Nexus Force's efforts to selflessly help this new world be a better place, a new home for the misplaced. This is where she truly belonged, a path to help everyone.

Grandma Meiko would be proud.

Within the mute demon of the roads and her terrifying reputation, there is a bond stronger than any that's ever been in the Merged Lands.

Wane Corvus, private investigator of the Crossroads and member of the Sentinels.

One of the Skulkin from the Underworld misplaced after the Merge, Corvus has made a great name of himself. People of the Crossroads who have lost someone have all met him, and through great skill in surveillance and the gathering of information, Corvus is known as one of the best there is. All skills that are invaluable to the Nexus Force.

But there is one person who still eludes him. One who's origin, story, and very name are a mystery to him. That is Wane Corvus himself.

Youko is a Daredevil of the Venture League, and a rogue member of the Oni who crusaded against the Realms.

Youko and her twin brother, Yudai, were inseparable, their souls intertwined by the magic of their own Resonance. But it was the day they failed their Omega when this one killed Yudai after Youko's failure to conquer.

But Yudai's soul lived on in his sister's own, and together they abandoned their life. Assuming the form of a human, Youko lived to wander the world even after the Merge.

That is when Captain Hael Storm heard of the so-called Silent Demon biker...

The post-Merge world is one of chaos and mysteries the Nexus Force must uncover in their mission to protect the universe.

And in the search for her mother, Theta will need them as much as they need her.

Khazri Jinn is a Summoner of the Assembly faction and the Elemental Master of Souls.

The power to control the very essence of a being is an incredibly strong element, so much that many of Ninjago's enemies would seek to have this power for themselves. Khazri would have no choice but to remain in hiding.

Following the Merge, however, they had no choice but to use their powers to fight back a horde of attacking creatures of the Monster Realm. Little did they know, Nexus Force member Yuno Nightshade was in the scene to witness this.

Perhaps the Nexus Force could bring Khazri not only safety, but a way to finally fight for good.

Theta Lennox is an specialized Nindroid hacker of the Paradox faction.

Adopted by an engineer after being discarded years ago, Theta came to be incredibly skilled with computers. But life went downhill when Theta's new mom was lost to the Merge.

Hacking her way into various resources to find her, it was the Nexus Force stationed at the crossroads that noticed her intrusion.

But they would not punish her, instead they offered her a place besides them. She accepted.
