It is R U Ok? Day today in #Australia. So naturally I ask anyone who finds this post, worldwide, R U Ok? But how hard is it to actually say no I am not ok. Or even know how to answer someone if you are lucky to have someone or many people ask. I myself am well practiced in changing the subject. But why? Sometimes I unload my mind or to talk or share in the hope I’m listened to, yet I can’t or don’t want to burden people. Then at the same time willing to listen to those who need it, in the hope they don’t feel depressed or have anxiety wash over them even if only for 10 minutes, or feel like I do more often than not. Quandary isn’t it? So reach out if you can if you need to be heard, or talk things through or just be in silent presence of someone you trust. And those who ask #ruok not just on #ruokday sometimes it may not be what you say it could just be the shoulder for someone to ‘cry’ on, watching a movie or the world go by without much being said. One in every three households in the United States has a gun stored somewhere inside. The Brooklynn Mae Mohler Foundation is committed to ending senseless child deaths through education of responsible gun ownership and empowering parents to ask about guns where their children visit. How many close friends does a child have? One in three households has a firearm. If one of those households has a gun, is it secure? What about family members? Do they visit cousins or other relatives that may have unsecured guns? Secure storage is vital to the safety of children and is the responsibility of the gun owner. The life of one innocent child is not worth challenging the odds of possibility. There are many ways to secure a firearm, that still allow for fast access, and there is no excuse to place easy access above child safety. Sometimes you have to keep your mouth shut for the sake of someone else’s happiness. I've only ever experienced audiobook once and that's enough!😐 The voice was awful and I even heard it in my dreams 😣. And while I love e-books for easier reading while on the move, when I'm still, nothing beats a physical book because unlike an e-book I'm not that easily distracted.
