(and that he still had on his mind the promise to keep luffy in check as their captain who needed to earn their crew's trust and respect, like in water 7/enies lobby, but seeing how much more serious was luffy handling this, it definitely made it easier for zoro to lend him all his strength and power as his swordsman and first mate. that they could fully depend to have each other's backs.)

and then back to silly banter together, because that's just them <33

also even the part before that was so good!

when hody started telling them how he wants to become the 'true pirate king', it showed how all these intently listened, that hody had finally luffy's full attention when he got to this point.

until then luffy was in the fight mostly because jimbei asked him and to protect princess shirahoshi, but ohh those words! haha, he shouldn't have said that!

so this was great to see luffy unleashing his haki like that!

(also nice note about using the surpreme king haki, from oda in the sbs corner of chapter 642

i wonder how luffy trained that or if he can do that subconsciously.)

+ then in next chapter, some zoro's cool attacks and lines, because he can't let luffy have all the spotlight!

This sounds like somewhat of a stretch, however just humor me for a bit. (Credit to @hollowgears for helping brainstorm this and helping me get some of the sources. And my two mythology friends for fact checking this. And one piece reddit and tiktokers for the blackbeard cerberus theory.)

The ancient weapons are Luffy (Uranus), Blackbeard (Pluton not exactly but I'll dwelve into that), and Shirahoshi (Poseidon)

The ancient weapons were named after three Greco-Roman gods. Pluto - the underworld, Uranus - the sky, and Poseidon - the sea. Now, it's already established that Shirahoshi is Poseidon, the mermaid princess who can summon sea kings.

And all we know about Pluton, is that it's a ship under the sea in Wano. Now, if Pluton is a ship, then how the hell can Blackbeard also be Pluton? Well it's simple, who else to use the ship named after the ruler of the underworld, then the gatekeeper of hell himself, Cerberus.

There have been a lot of theories and evidence about Blackbeard having three personalities, and having the zoan fruit of Cerberus, and that's why he can have three devil fruits. However this theory is pointless when he himself states he's been hunting for a third devil fruit. However, if he was simply born that way like Shirahoshi, it could explain why he has those abilities without being a devil fruit user.

For context, Cerberus is a three-headed dog the gatekeeper of hell in Greek mythology. The Blackbeard Cerberus theory states that Blackbeard ate the Cerberus mythical zoan. Marco states in Marineford that Blackbeard has an abnormal body, as well as the three skulls on his jolly roger compared to most jolly rogers of the series, which only have one. There's also Blackbeard's three pronged weapon, the one that gave Shanks his scar that resembles a claw.

Now for the theory behind that theory, the Blackbeard with three personalities theory. Blackbeard in his introduction in Skypeia, Luffy and Zoro calls Blackbeard "they" when Nami says uses he pronouns on him. Now either Blackbeard is non-binary or is multiple people in one body (the latter being more likely let's be honest). Blackbeard has been depicted with varying personalities, sometimes he's cowardly, sometimes he's extremely intelligent (an aspect most likely taken from his real life inspiration), and optimistic and brave. He switches between these aspects from appearance, and whilst character's are capable of having multiple personality traits, the variation of these traits inspires this theory. There is also the fact that is stated that he never sleeps, he could switch between personalities while the others ones sleep, so he never has a need to.

Another aspect to the Cerberus theory, more of a stretch, when asked about the flower Blackbeard is represented by, Oda says Spider Lilies. Spider Lilies can be viewed as omens of death, and Blackbeard himself has caused two of the major character deaths in the series (Ace and Whitebeard). Death? Underworld? You get the connection.

How Blackbeard has a connection with Pluton other than vague mythology? Trust me bro.

Now for Luffy, Uranus is the god of the sky in mythology. You can probably see where I'm going with this. Luffy has the hito-hito no mi: model Nika. A mythical zoan fruit of the sun god Nika. The sun god Nika is a god that's been worshipped in the one piece world for centuries (Uranus in mythology being a primordial god, one of the first and the father of the titans), and there's an obvious connection between the sun and the sky. The sky itself is often used to symbolize freedom in media, as well as animals associated with it, along with wind.

Now, why exactly does the world government want to hide the Nika fruit so badly? Of course, Nika represents freedom. A user of the Nika fruit could hinder their plans, even possibly destroy them. That's what's implied. Could this fruit be an Ancient weapon as well, one that imu knew they could never control?

We know almost nothing about Uranus other then the fact that well.. it's a weapon. And it exists. It's strange how we've learnt about almost every weapon, and it could just be a coincidence but only now are we learning about the true nature of Luffy's fruit. Now, Luffy's fruit being the weapon contrasts Shirahoshi and Blackbeard in this theory, both being born with their connection/being the weapon. But with mythical zoan devil fruits having their own free wills, would the god of freedom not be able to choose it's own user? Someone born with the exact same ideals that it has? Maybe luffy was born to wield the fruit, or maybe it just saw him and chose him.

Now why the would I come up with this anyway? (or well, Hollow did come up with this originally I just happen to be adding more evidence)

In the Levely arc, Imu's throne room has four bounty posters. Vivi, Blackbeard, Shirahoshi, and Luffy. One could argue that it's because all four pose a danger to the government. Vivi as the descendant of the first known member of the D clan, who had something to do with the poneglyphs, Shirahoshi being an Ancient weapon, Luffy being Nika who we established the world government really did not want to exist, and Blackbeard, who's into history, kinda dangerous, and probably has some sort of connection to Rocks D Xebec (His ship name being the saber of Xebec.)

However, Shira's, Blackbeard's, and Luffy's bounty posters are all slashed by the same knife. And one eye has been cut from each.

That could be a coincidence, but as we know, Oda loves foreshadowing. This panel implies a connection between the three with Imu's hatred of them. Now, for Vivi, her ancestor if she had written or at least was able to read them, knew of the locations of the weapons. So that's her connection with them.

There are various holes, like the fact that Blackbeard has no established connection with Pluton. But hey, it's just a theory.

TDLR: Blackbeard is cerberus the gatekeeper of hell and thus was born to use the ship Pluton, named after the king of the underworld. Luffy/Nika is uranus, and the fruit either chose luffy because he seemed to match nika's personality, or he was born to use the fruit. Imu has the bounty posters of Shira, Blackbeard, and Luffy and has a knife in each.

Ooooh good question!!

Before I answer that, I just want to quickly go over why I think it's important that all the strawhats are introduced as outcasts in some fashion.

Firstly, pirates are criminals. Their very existence is seen as an affront to the current order of the world, the laws of the World Government. And Luffy in particular lives by a free-spirited moral code. Hence, each of the strawhats being introduced as social outcasts or socially unconventional shows their affinity to Luffy and to living as a pirate.

Secondly, pirates, or specifically the strawhats, are dreamers. And for many of the Strawhats, their ambitious dream is a part of the reason why they're not fit for their hometown, why they have to leave and sail for the horizon (I actually think a great example of this is when the Cocoyashi Villagers are preparing to fight Arlong and Nojiko tells Nami to leave the island "because she has a dream").

Vivi, in my opinion, does not tick Box 1 and that is why she doesn't join after Alabasta. She is of course exceptionally brave in ways that set her apart from other Princesses, but she is not perceived as a social outcast or even socially unconventional in Alabasta at all. The people love her and in all her flashbacks we never see any signs of her feeling the desire to leave Alabasta or to not be the Princess of Alabasta. Her dream is for Alabasta to flourish, to see her people prosper. And that's why she doesn't leave. Because, as she says, "there's no denying how much I love this country".

Vivi is also the first of what I personally call "Luffy's Royal Fan Club" i.e. the Princesses and Princes who befriend Luffy as he helps save their country. When you look at Shirahoshi, Rebecca, and Momonosuke, they also tick one or two boxes, but, like Vivi, they're all too attached to their home countries to leave.

Omg!!! I am SO glad somebody asked me this!!!! It actually started as a joke with my fiancé because I kept talking about Luffy having a fanclub. The members being quite obviously Boa, Sabo, Koby, Bartolomeo and, (he goes there as top secret and makes everybody swear on their lives they won't tell anybody about this) Law. Shirahoshi is there too sometimes, she's busy princessing. Rebecca joins them too. This actually was made because I kept saying Sabo and Law would hate each other's guts (in a One-sided Lawlu sense, btw. I was in a Lawlu mood that day) and they'd have the biggest sexual tension in the world (Sabolaw my beloved too). Like I am not joking, these are real messages I sent to my partner:

The thing is, I think they'd get along. The fact that Boa is down bad for Luffy would kind of weird out Sabo because "what the hell is wrong with this girl?" but they'd see eye to eye. Boa doesn't trust men easily, but Sabo being Luffy's brother and a revolutionary would honestly make her a bit softer for him. My happiness when I saw them on screen together for like two seconds watching Stamepede??? That movie really is a whole fanfic. Anyway- Both of their lives were ruined by Nobles/Celestial Dragons. Sabo literally fights against slavery. His girlfriend (Koala is his girlfriend and this is a canon fact to me even if it isn't canon because, lmao, have you seen them interact) was a slave. Like- Sabo and Boa both have strong personalities and fight for their ideals no matter what??? And they both have a weak spot and it's Luffy??? I think they'd be perfect as besties, honestly. Add Sabo to the list of 3 men Boa trusts. "Not all men" exactly, because Rayleigh, Luffy, and Sabo would never. I just think their personalities match a lot, in every way. Last chapter I talked about while it was entertaining, we didn't get much development that we didn't know, but this one paid much of the setup off.

Bonney and Sabo's buddy adventure probably could've used some more time, they did just kinda run into each other and escape the palace, but there is the irony that she meets the polite but slightly unhinged brother before meeting the no filter completely unhinged brother - and that's also before meeting the stoic very unhinged first mate. I wonder what of note she intended to mention to Luffy but it also opens the door to the Revolutionaries showing up in Egghead.

I mean I still miss my boy, my merry band of merry crew, but my missing Bonney hours were satisfied a little, still waiting on the Let Tashigi do something hours, also Carrot4Nakama because the colour spread has reawakened it (yes I know it's likely not gonna happen but she deserved better than what she got at the end). Major satisfaction of seeing Charloss get accordion'd, we need the meme of the round table of characters folding Celestial Dragons. But yeah I get the feeling that this is the major incident the Grand Fleet caused that shook the world, no doubt Morgans will use creative license too. Fukaboshi should've gotten a hit in though he deserves a treat and the Fish-Man royal family deserve something other than more trauma.

We're still waiting on some info, but we got answers on Bonney, Shirahoshi and Kuma, while also offering us more.

I don't think Sabo intended to reach the Empty Throne to see what he's about to see, if anything I think he was after this 'Phantom Room'. But still, Oda's gotten bold with Imu directly approaching Cobra and sitting on the throne.

I've convinced myself that Imu is Lili, perhaps there is more to the story too like maybe Lili had a godlike Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit like Nika that took over her mind, but I am eager to hear how this develops, more word on the Dynasty, the Void Century, the 20 Families, I am ready to consume it all.

A little drabble for the Godzilla and One Piece crossover,based around the Reverie ask.

Shirahoshi knew that her training should've helped to mask her emotions but right now she couldn't help but let curiosity show as she followed her father meeting the various of nobility of the the world. Right now she was talking to a blue haired princess of the desert island of Alabasta who ran into Luffy when he just entered the grand line.

"So he tried to fight a Logia even before he knew what Haki was?" The giant mermaid princess questioned her new friend, as the blue haired princess just chuckled as Shirahoshi looked so shocked.

"Yes, it was a difficult fight, but Luffy kept on trying." The blue haired princess answered as the mermaid digested the information.

"It seems so strange, he showed a close mastery of Haki when he was fighting against Hody Jones and his crew." Shirahoshi spoke but she couldn't help but admire how even back then Luffy was such a brave soul, making her heart flutter even more.

"So how exactly did you and Luffy meet?" The blue haired princess questioned as Shirahoshi quickly blushed brighter than the scales on her tail as she began to recall their first meeting.

"Well, it started--" Shirahoshi began to tell her tale until she felt someone or something try to grab at her tail, with her new instincts she immediately whipped her tail as fast and as strong as she could. A crackling boom could be heard as the culprit that grabbed her tail turned out to be a dark haired man wearing a white suit, who now seemed embedded into a wall.

"You dare to hamper the order of Celestial Dragon?!?" A rather pale, overweight and frankly unattractive man yelled wearing a large white cloak with a golden rim collar shouted. He looked rather angry at Shirahoshi but for what reason she couldn't know, all she did was defend herself from what her mentors called a 'creep'.

"I knew you Celestial 'Dragons' were stupid but to act like that is suicidal." A deep gruff and powerful voice rumbled as the various rulers of various islands felt the earth shake, as a man that could rival a giant in size with olive skin covered in both tattoos and scars stomped out from the shadows his eyes the color of a burning fire looked down at the Celestial Dragon who actually flinched at the glare.

"Princess Shirahoshi is under my protection, any further attempts on her will be considered an aggressive act leading to war. I'm sure your only five elders wouldn't be too happy with that." The massive man growled out as many could see his back and tattoos begin to glow a bright and brilliant blue.

That dumb Celestial Dragon better start running cause they just pissed off Godzilla. Absolutely have no hope to escape if Mothra shows up so best flee now.

Ah, I can’t find the post. But yes! When I made the headcanons for the crybaby s/o I had princess shirahoshi (NOT IN HEIGHT BUT PERSONALITY) and I believe someone made the connection. It is however a cool idea to have a princess Shirahoshi! Reader x Hercules because the size difference while also being ..sensitive lol 😆 (as I am)

♥️when Hercules introduces his s/o to the family he did tell them his s/o would be tall, but they weren’t expecting a giant. (Zeus thinks it cute and Hermes definitely make a comment saying “They are a little tall.” )

♥️But listen! Whenever the Greek pantheon decides to party they always love to see them because of the size difference (Poseidon is neutral). Plus I think they like how pure the love between the two are.

Her whole life, Praline knew her only merit to her mother was her merman heritage—and thus, her ability to be married off to some fishman or merman. Not that Praline cared; no husband could be worse than her mother, could he? She didn’t really have higher expectations than that.

In her mind, the best case scenario was being married to some guy who was gone all the time, pirating or sleeping around or whatever, giving her some semblance of freedom for the first time in her life.

So, when the Sun Pirates joined Big Mom Pirates in an alliance, she celebrated. They were exactly what she wanted—and if she was to marry Jinbe? Good enough for her. From what she heard, he was a decent, honourable guy; she was sure they would be able to reach some sort of agreement.

But then…

Then, she actually met her husband-to-be.

And the rest was history.

“Praline? Are you there?”

“In the kitchen!” Praline called out to her husband, stirring the clam soup she was making as she hummed happily. She glanced over her shoulder when she heard the door open, smiling at the sight of Aladdin, visibly exhausted, stumbling in. “Shashasha, welcome home.”

Aladdin sighed, swimming over to her to hug her from behind, pressing a small kiss to the nape of her neck. “Glad to be home,” he muttered into her skin, making Praline giggle.

“Looks like someone had a rough day.”

“Don’t even ask,” Aladdin groaned. “On my way to see King Neptune, princess Shirahoshi caught me and I had to tell her all about our ‘adventures’ and about Luffy and his crew—whom, as you know, we didn’t even talk to. When I finally got to the King, I had to explain everything that happened with your mother and Luffy and Jinbe. Then I found out what a fucking mess the Reverie was. When I tell you it sounds worse than Pudding’s wedding…”

Praline laughed, spinning around in Aladdin’s arms to hug him, pressing her cheek against her husband’s. “Shashasha! Dinner will be ready soon, you can go relax for now. But then you have to tell me all about the fancy noble drama.”

Aladdin groaned, his head dropping to bury in the crook of Praline’s neck. “Can I just stay here…?”

“Baby,” Praline teased as she stroked Aladdin’s back.

She never wanted to prepare dinner any other way.

Vivi wiped at her face as he answered her, knowing she was honestly asking the impossible. The Dragons were impossible to deny, it was their world and everyone just lived there as far as the world nobles were considered. It was still a strange comfort that he didn't try to wheedle his way to come with her by promising the world.

"Shirahoshi is sixteen. This is her first time being out of her home. What he did was evil." She had comforted the princess as best she could, but obviously the violence of the day would leave a mark on her for a while. Sighing she shook her head, knowing that this was a pointless argument. Instead she needed to focus on his offer, when she returned home she would have no protection.

She couldn't depend on Luffy coming back.

"...You can escort me home. I'll decide on our way if you can stay after that."

Lucci couldn't give her the answer she likely wanted, but he could give her something that might at least satisfy her. "Princess Shirahoshi's situation is different to yours. You're of a founding family of the World Government even if your family chose not to ascend." He explained with a sigh. "There is no place that is safe from that. A World Noble goes wherever they please. Especially for countries that are a part of the World Government." He informed her that it was something that not even her father could prevent if he was still alive. Indeed, no one was safe in such cases, though it was rare that they wanted to go to places like Alabasta.

"What I can do is protect you from everything else." He reassured. It wasn't what she wanted him to say for sure, but he was telling her the truth, at least. Others would just lie to her and make promises they couldn't keep, at least, most others. His mind went back to Enies Lobby and his fight with Strawhat. He would likely face off against a Celestial Dragon for her if she was his friend.

"... I would do what I can." He said at last. A part of him wondered what it felt like to fight against all odds as the Strawhats had. To be so... free? Foolishness. But looking at the tear streaked face of the princess before him, he felt like being a little reckless and foolish.
