I found a shiny Bagon! Unfortunately I spent so long trying to save it walked off the cliff and despawned before I could get it. I tried closing and reopening and it was gone. I think I prefer my original approach of saving after catching shinies rather than before (I still save after because not saving after would be a stupid idea)

You know what? This is payback for me saying I wasn’t interested in the shiny-hunting side of this event in my previous post. Unfortunately I am still very happy to claim a shiny if I see one

Anything you want, about any of the characters shown or teased so far, or even about characters/pokemon who haven’t even been mentioned yet. Ask about new arrivals, arcs that’ll happen, romance, death, whatever you’d like! Even ask multiple, if you’d like!

I will answer each and every question I receive, but with one stipulation: All answers will be vague. Details won’t be given, unless I want to share them. This entire event will last for a few days, until July 25th.

Alabaster was born November 20th 1919. he's 104 in 2024!

(VERY old, but mons can have long lifespans, they're not gonna die though- no one will but me and maybe those that share my birthday- cuz' I can't update from the grave ha ha!

Azura and Inari were born December-25-1952, they're 71 in human years.

HIIII YES I LOVE POKEMON I LOVE POKEMON SO MUCH trust me the thought of drawing itfs' pokemon teams has crossed my mind Many times but the whole teambuilding part always felt a little daunting,,,there are over 1000 of these guys atp,,,,

tht being said thank u for this ask it came at the perfect time to motivate me to actually brainstorm n sketch teams for them!! the sketches r at the indecipherable stage so here r lists of the teams I came up with fr each of them:

I like the eeveelution angle and the idea of them having matching ones but i personally just,,. don't see yuuji as having espeon :'> if he were to have an eevee imo it's between base eevee, jolteon, or maybe flareon. but giving yuuji one of those options meant i then ran into the problem where megumi matching him would require giving him a vaporeon which didn't sit right with me either bc ur right he's SUCH an umbreon bitch. ended up giving neither of them eevees here but i do support the sun/moon vision

anyway this is what i'm working on fr the next however many days probably smile :)

Part 2 of my take on Batfam x Pokemon

In this part, I’m including Steph and Cass. I know I said i was also gonna do Damian and duke, but i haven't had inspiration yet 😭😭

Stephanie: She’s always overlooked for the guys when it comes to Robin. I know she wasn’t Robin for long, but I’d still like to reference it at least somewhat

Taillow/Swellow | “Tolson” - Steph finds Taillow when she was a few years old. She brought him inside and insisted that they keep him. Despite Arthur saying no, no matter how hard they try, the taillow kept coming back, and so they literally had zero choice but to keep him!

Ralts/Gardevior | “Misty” - She finds a little ralts wandering around Gotham toward her first few years as Spoiler. She played with her for a little while, and the ralts continued to follow Steph around Gotham before saving her from an attacking an attacking houndoom and then leading her to a shiny Umbreon, who just so happened to belong to the third robin

Feebass/Milotic | “Little Guy” - toward the latter of her time as spoiler, she finds a little guy (feebass) just swimming around in the muck of gotham. she felt bad for the “little guy” and took him in. turns out, little guy eventually becomes big guy- a Milotic!

Fennekin/Delphox | “Katniss” - the first pokemon she finds as Robin (which matches her with the other robins, and she would be lying if she said it didn’t feel like fate)

Jolteon | “Sparky” - She’s given Jolteon by Bruce when she comes back from the “dead” (Note that the others have all started as eevees before evolving into the pokemon they are now, whereas Steph’s jolteon never grew up with her. this can either be read as her being accepted into the batfam without truly NEEDING to be Robin, her never really being part of the batfam in the first place, or bruce wanting to erase her time as “Robin” and acknowledgethat she was so much more than his sidekick. it’s all up to the reader to decide how much angst they want to indulge in :3)

Cass: Being raised as a weapon, she probably relates more to pokemon than she does humans, seeing as they don’t rely solely on words to communicate, but with body language and such too. this probably lends to her having a closer bond with her pokemon, and the bats/citizens of gotham coming up to her and asking why their pokemon are acting up/if their pokemon love them and whatnot. she’ll work closely with Damian to bust pokemon trafficking rings and others of the such :3 I'm also unsure what exactly she'd name her pokemon, but she'd probably have help from tim and steph later on

Riolu/Lucario | “Reed” - her first pokemon was a riolu given to her to use. they are completely and wholly dedicated to each other in the beginning, since both were hesitant to take another creature's life. Riolu evolves into Lucario to help Cass escape, and helped bring Cass onto Bruce's radar

Trapinch/Flygon | "Falen" - Cass finds a trapich buried in the sand while in the middle east, and decides to keep it. It stays, and eventually evolves into flygon, who sticks loyally by her side

Eevee/Vaporeon | “Eve” - Tim gives Cass an eevee as a gift within her first years with the Batfam while the others were still wary of her. Cass loves the eevee SO much, but she accidentally runs into a water stone that dick had left out, and evolved into a vaporeon rather than a sylveon

Rockruff/Lycanroc | “Sedis” - Jason is the one who gives her a rockruff as a peace offering, or maybe a bride to look past his killing of vile criminals? Either way, she keeps the little guy, and she lets tim name the pokemon, and he chooses Sedis to match with Iggy (Sedimentary and Igneous rocks)

Cosmog/Solgaleo | “Lumens” - I think Cass deserves to be the only one with a box legendary :3 she probably picks up a cosmog after settling in with the batfam, and when she shows him off, everyone is like 😃 Tim is really intrigued, and damian is jealous that HE didn't get to have a sparkly space cloud, and he'd be even MORE jealous when he finds out that Cass gets to have a sparkly space LION (Lord knows he 100% wants a lion)

Ok so here's some pics my partner took of my veevees plus her sylveon Stardust.

Rainer my vaporeon likes being near me and is usually with either Sparky my jolteon or Pyro my Flareon. Linnea my leafeon likes following what the others are doing. Nymphia is friends with my partners Sylveon and they like napping together. Most of my veevees like hanging out with my partner and their veevees. They're the best.

Lava_Beee (pretty well-known artist who draw she-ra fanart from time to time) is asking on twitter what would Adora and Catra main pokemon be. You're pretty knowledgeable when it comes to pokemon i believe, so what's your take?

hi i love lava_bee's art but here's the thing. i can't fucking answer this question. i can't. there are too many pokemon. and i don't mean this in a "i dont have every single pokemon + most of their shinies and types memorized" kind of way, because I do, i mean it is impossible for me to pick my favorite pokemon, which makes it very hard to have a "main", and even harder to ascribe a main to a character and feel.... idk, confident about it. i could give you 30 different answers and none of them would feel more correct. i've never seen a fan-team for them and went "oh yes this is the Correct answer" it's just an answer. its a little easier if you give me a specific gen and i can either 1) only use pokemon from that gen (so for gen 2 it had to be pokemon 152-251) or 2) only use pokemon from that game's regional pokedex (which includes all pokemon added to that gen and some from previous) as if we're saying okay if adora and catra were kalos trainers what would their team be, but even then, i think i would have a pool of like 20 pokemon i could call their team.

context also matters. are they casual trainers? are they gym leaders and confined by type? are they part of the evil team? are they really competitive and trying to get all the badges, and thus have balanced teams in mind? oh god are stats real in-universe? actually i refuse to acknowledge stats that makes this question a billion times harder, but typing is relevant.

anyway i think if adora was a dedicated trainer she'd care a lot about team balance but get too attached to some favorites and use them more than is logical, and if she isn't a competitive trainer than she's literally out here using her starter, the first three pokemon she befriended, and a fifth+sixth pokemon she saved spots for because she always found them really cool and had to work really hard to get

if catra is a dedicated trainer she'd be ruthless in cultivating a "perfect" team but she would end up falling for her in-universe melog equivalent and become a total softie for it even though it doesnt fit with the team so she only battles with them casually and drills her competitive team but then adora manages to talk her into a change of heart ("its not all about winning, its about the battle and the bond with your team too!") and she ends up putting melog on her final team against the champion/elite four/adora. if she's not a dedicated trainer she would outwardly refuse to learn about "good" pokemon and just pick based purely on vibes and completely ignore adora whining at her about type balance. and then she would be really good at playing around type, revealing she actually knows a lot more than she's pretending to care
