I'm curious to what inspired or attracted to Frans; your art when you portray them is filled with a sense of comfort and bitter longing, it makes me curious is all. Sorry if this is a bother.

Uff where do I start? xD Let's see~ It all started after being in depression for two years due to issues that left me with no desire to draw anymore. At that time, I went through a really terrifying relationship and what comforted me were the comics Shayromi was making. I hadn't played Undertale (at the time, frans was all over the art places I could find, and I loved how a teaser and a sweetheart were so compatible, creating such a loving and sweet relationship, starting with the implications made in the pacifist route, sans' depression covered by his smiling mask and how frisk is the light he needed to get through it, is just adorable (imagine my disappointment, I thought they were canon, also Elys and Arno) Well, I didn't realise when I was already making comics, fanarts, doodles and fanfiction about them, (and a wife? ), but it gave me back my desire to draw and it's been like that ever since~ in fact it makes me angry that I can't find enough time to draw them more often :C

What kind of brushes would you recommend to use when trying to mimic isat's artstyle?

I'd love to answer this one, cause it actually took me a while to get it down!!

The program I use (Medi Bang Paint Pro) is pretty limited in terms of brush functions. If you use something like Clip Studio, I'm sure you can find a brush that suits your needs.

However, through trial and error, I ended up making my own.

The main key is anti-aliasing.

QUICK NOTES I DIDN'T DRAW:

1. NO PEN PRESSURE SENSITIVITY, TURN THAT SHIT OFF, The ISAT artstyle majorly uses round flat brushes (and maybe changes the size for detail accordingly.) 2. The sprites in game experience some corruption (if it's from program corruption or intentional choice on the dev's part is up for debate) 3. There in minor inconsistencies in the style and shapes. You're not gonna get Isa's face shape right, Sif's eye is probably gonna look off, Odile's hair is gonna be too poofy- that's okay. And even if your brush of colors aren't perfect that's okay. 4. The main important thing for ISAT's artstyle is the vibes, and there is no formula to that. Just try to find your own place within those vibes. My last comic, I actually halfway through just stopped trying to imitate the artstyle, as much as I was just trying to express myself within that style's minor guidelines. 5. I also HEAVILY RECOMMEND looking at Tawny's guide on expressions, it's super helpful for GETTING those said vibes

It's not the next part of the Rolan comic- I'm a fool who thought having fourteen characters in a single page was a reasonable amount and definitely not something that should stop me from putting another ten on the following page and ough- but it is about Ember and Rolan, just at an earlier point in time (cough-Last Light Inn-cough)

Ninja sharks

1) Did Draxum mutate sharks because he liked their "killer instincts"

2) is splinter covered in bite scars from raising baby sharks?

3) since they are more aquatic in nature they probably risk drying out, did a worried new parent splinter keep them in water all the time?

4) is splinter still a rat? Or is he a different animal?

1) Um yes of course ^^ I think he saw something from shark week and was just like enamored with their, as you stated, killer instincts and just snatched some sharkies (I think it would be really funny if he kept them and they were just them)

2) oh yeah and they don’t go away bc the boys remain bitey just bc bitey but they are much less aggressive with it and Splints has gotten kinda used to it, sort of like affectionate biting

3) yesssssss yes he did, while it probably wasn’t completely necessary the extent he went to, the babies didn’t mind and had a bunch of fun with it. They did it less and less as they got bigger bc they didn’t need it as much as when they were little, but they definitely have swim days very often.

4) technically there wouldn’t really be a reason for him to be a different animal… but I think that would make it more fun so now he’s a toad!

Aww sharkie I’m sorry about that. It’s that time of year, unfortunately. I think I’ve done feral with a depressive episode before (at least in part) so we’ll do Good Girl this time.

Price knows almost instantly that something’s up. You’ve been moving a little slow recently, a little listless. He has to remind you to do your chores, but it’s not like you’re being fussy or reluctant. You just… seem to be struggling with getting up the energy to do anything.

You eat when he tells you to, but you haven’t been finishing your plates. You’ve been leaning into him extra hard during snuggle times. Sleeping most of the day and seem to struggle to sleep at night. And you haven’t been interested in doing more than watching tv or playing games on your (heavily modified) phone.

It’s getting into the winter months, even going outside for some sunshine is getting difficult, especially with his schedule.

He decides to decorate the house early for the holiday. And that the guest room needs a makeover. And oh, you know what, it’s time for vitamin d supplements and this interesting new lamp he just bought that happens to mimic sunlight. It’s for the plants, he assures when you squint at him, but he scoots you suspiciously close to it during your new mandatory hour of outside/porch time.

And, slowly, you start to feel a bit like your old self.

Blogtember Day 18: Scrapped Idea

Skipping Day 17 mostly because I've done enough Stop the Presses for Blogtember so far.

Anyways, originally Taima was suppose to have a friend who got her into sewing. Their name was Morgan and they were just a lil Mimikyu!

This was mostly Sharkie's idea and I did enjoy the idea of having a Mimikyu OC, but this was scrapped because I'm terrible at writing things. There was a small hint to them before in this post!

Does Ember actually love Astarion or is he just a best friend? I was just curious! Haha

Oh, the answer is a big both! They're best friends, partners, soul mates, each other's Person. If they were shelter cats they'd be pair bonded and have to be adopted together. Whether they are or aren't romantically involved doesn't matter, they're each other's ride or die regardless.

But to be more specific, Astarion is Ember's 'canon' relationship, with Rolan being something of an AU that I just happened to end up doing a comic about first.

I'm not someone who likes to make multiple OCs to pair up with different characters, cause not only do I get too attached to one, I just overall find it a lot more fun to take a single character like Ember and play around with what would happen if she were to end up with someone different. See what changes or stays the same depending on the partner she ends up with.

But no matter what, she and Astarion end up a duo to at least some degree, even if it's just as partners in crime.
