from the siren!AU aka Curiositas. for context: Lando and Oscar just met, and are out at sea™

For a moment Lando panics, realising he never told Oscar to bring any food for himself, he doesn’t even know what humans eat and oh fuck is Oscar is going to starve because of him-

“Uhm,” Oscar interrupts Lando’s spiralling thoughts “so I brought... definitely not enough canned food and a portable cooker.” Lando’s heart rate sinks back to normal. He notes how Oscar was somehow conscious enough to take preparation steps for their journey even through the haze of Lando’s spell, which is a bit strange but Lando doesn’t really know how the spell works so he files it away as convenient instead of concerning.

“I assume you can hunt for some fish, but I'll have to ask you to catch some for me when I run out if that's alright by you.”

There’s only one small problem with that, Lando stays silent for a second before replying.

“I don't like fish.”

Not only did Lando forget to make sure this guy he’s practically kidnapping wouldn’t starve to death, he’s about to give him another reason to loathe Lando. The first human he’s ever talked to will hate him just like his colony, because he’s weird and useless and-

“Whaddya mean you don't like fish? Isn't that like, what you eat? Or is that cannibalism-”

Well Lando has never heard of can-a-ball-is-him or whatever it is Oscar just said but that sounds vaguely insulting, and he can admit he’s a bit strange but he’s not about to let himself be insulted like that by someone he’s barely just met. What does Oscar know about sirens anyway?

He cuts Oscar off. “Just don't like it, okay?” His voice comes out a lot higher than he intended it to, pitch betraying the hurt behind the words, but there’s still a chance to course correct. “I'll get some.. birds or whatever.”

actually internally screaming about the potential mindfuck of future past! lando's very first impression of oscar being THAT. like the absolute emotional rollercoaster of losing your virginity to someone before?? actually fr meeting them irl???? and then having to look him dead in the eye and Be Normal when they tell you he's gonna be your TEAMMATE. oh my god (for the record I'm not even done reading the fic but. head full many thoughts. if you addressed that later than where I am then great minds think alike, if you haven't then this is your clue to start thinking 💖)

What’s even funnier is that not only was lando’s first impression of Oscar getting fucked six ways to Sunday, he technically had no idea who Oscar even was. Like, older lando never mentioned his last name, that he’s his boyfriend, that he’s his teammate. Hell, he never even said that Oscar’s another f1 driver — younger lando could probably deduce that much, but he was B L I N D about everything Oscar is. Insane.

I’ve spent so much time now thinking of all the reactions lando could have when he gets dropped back in 2019:

Does he go scour motorsports for anyone named Oscar? Is he terrified that looking for him with break the space time continuum?

Once he sees that Oscar’s gonna be an alpine reserve driver, does he try to talk to him?????? Is he so panicked about the fact that he knows Oscar carnally but not literally that he hides for the entire season?? Who! Makes! The first! Move!

WHAT IS HE THINKING WHEN HE SAYS “HE’S TALL HUH?” ON THAT FIRST MCLAREN PHOTOSHOOT. IS IT BECAUSE HE KNOWS OSCARS GONNA GET SO MUCH BROADER????????

How many times did lando jack off in his driver room in hopes Oscar would hear before they actually got together,,,,,

how would 1999 killua and 2011 killua react to each other considering how much different they are to each other

Okay so first of all, they are so different it's funny. Like, super funny.

2011 Killua would be freaked out that his 99 self is hanging onto Gon, in like public displays of affection type ways. Slinging his arm across Gon, dragging him around and stuff. 11 Killua would find that SO EMBARRASSING and think his 99 self is embarrassing and just weird.

And vice versa!!! 99 Killua would find his 11 self to be a drag lol. I mean 99 Killua tried to get Gon to watch porn with him. PORN. 2011 Killua would NEVER. He is also way more fashionable than his 2011 counterpart, so he might think he is even more lame.

I Think they would disagree with their character designs and characteristics.
