Dasa 🔟 : Inhale, lift both of the legs up and balance breath five times . Ekadasa 1️⃣1️⃣: Lift up with crossed legs . Dvadasa 1️⃣2️⃣: exhale, Jump back to chaturanga dandasana . Trayoddasa 1️⃣3️⃣: Inhale: Upward facing dog . Caturdasa 1️⃣4️⃣: Exhale, Downward facing dog . Benefits: Stretches the insides and backs of the legs. Strengthens the spine. Calms the brain. . SUPTA KONASANA Dristi: tip of the nose 16 Vinyasas . Sapta 7️⃣: Inhale, jump through to a seated position and lie down exhale . Astau 8️⃣: Inhale, Take both legs back over the head spread the legs and catch the big toes. Breath Five times. . Nava 9️⃣: Inhale, Roll up while holding the big toes exhale. Continue rolling until the legs come to the floor hand touch the chin on the floor . Dasa 🔟: inhale, lift the head up, Exhale . Ekadasa 1️⃣1️⃣: Inhale, lift up with crossed legs . Dvadasa 1️⃣2️⃣: Exhale, jump back to chaturanga dandasana . Trayodasa 1️⃣3️⃣: Inhale, upward facing dog . Caturdasa 1️⃣4️⃣: Exhale, downward facing dog . Benefits: Improves digestion. The Bhujapidasana sequence is dear to be, in fact, it was the very first transition I learned, and it gave me the confidence to know I could do it ❤️ and that awkwardness is cool 😎 . Bhujapidasana Dristi tip of the nose 15 Vinyasas . Sapta 7⃣ : Inhale, Jump and wrap the legs around the arms, lock the feet, In front of you with the right on top of left. . Astau 8⃣ : Exhale, place the head or chin on the floor. Breath five times. . Nava 9⃣ : Inhale, lift the head or chin up of the floor, exhale. . Desa 🔟 : Inhale, In one smooth movement extend your legs, press the palms of your hand on the floor, lift up your cute but, strong core, gaze between your hands, and take your legs, simultaneously, into Bakasana. Knees in the armpit and heels together. It might be a challenging movement at first but, with patience and consistency, you will get there. Don’t stress about it. . In today's episode I summarized briefly the standing asanas sequence. . Now, a bit of history 📚 . Ashtanga Vinyasa sequences as a story of thousands of years, and we really don't when, or where was created. Probably, the first practitioners were Vamana Rishi, and Patanjali. But, there is a little blur about that. . However, it was Guruji Sri Tirumali Krishnamacharya who brought the series to Mysore, in the early 1920's. . Krishnamacharya was exploring the Himalayas mountain when accidentally met Rama Mohan Brahmachari, who became his teacher. . In fact, the Ashtanga Vinyasa series was practiced by the Himalayans Monks to light up the inner fire, and keep them warm during winter time. . During an excursion on the Himalayas, T. Krishnamachary saw a man practising asanas semi dressed outside a cave. He was enchanted by those moves. So, he tried to approach the man. But, the eremite didn't want company, and went inside his cave. . The morning after the man exited the cave and saw again T. Krishnamacharya. So, he asked "why are you still here? “ T. K. " I want to learn those moves" and the yogi replied "No" The morning after: "I want to learn" "NO" etc.. . However, T. Krishnamacharya didn't give up, and after seven days of annoying persistence, the eremite accepted to teach to him. The cave man was Rama Mohan Brahmachari. . The training went on for seven years and half. . Rama Mohan Brahmachari during winter time was teaching, and practicing the Ashtanga Vinyasa sequence, and during the summer a different Vinyasa, where the poses were held for 3 minutes. .
