I’m getting on board with this hawkash shit but. I have some very big differences in how I think they’d function.

Like, I think ashfur would be more so in control of things than hawkfrost, I feel like he’s more of a control freak. The moment he loses control with squirrel he decides “well now your family has to die, sorry fam” I don’t think it’d be different with hawkfrost. Hawkfrost himself I think is presenting himself as an independent individual, but he’s not, he relies largely on Tigerstars influence, while he’s still a manipulative little bastard I think he needs someone to inspire him most of the time. Also - I think I need to note that ashfur manipulated shadowsight extremely early on and also StarClan??? I don’t think that’s a thing he just picked up after he died, I think consistently he’s been a manipulator and good at mind games, I think he’d be able to get into Hawkfrost’s head.

Also just don’t think they’d be great together, ashfurs behaviors wouldn’t go away just because of hawkfrost, and I don’t think hawkfrost as a character would like being chained down by him, he’d likely escalate things. They’re messy, and I enjoy explorations of messier relationships in a realistic way, so maybe I don’t exactly ship them (ew ashfur being happy), but they are an interesting concept writing wise.

Also to note, I hate ashfur with a burning passion and how I envision him is very different to how I think other people see him. I’ve always looked at him more realistically though via my own personal experiences under similar disturbing situations, he just, he makes me feel a weird mix of hatred and like. Anxiety? Anyways, Hawkfrost deserves a better boyfriend/hj

despite being The Ashfur Freak ™️, i do not like any of the other incel cats in warriors. especially bumblestripe idk why. maybe it's just because i find him incredibly boring or because i know my dovewing loving followers would eat me alive (joke), but he has just never appealed to me. i also hate crowfeather. finleap is only interesting from a very specific viewpoint and 95% of people dont portray him that way so i typically do not like him.

i guess like. if i'm gonna like a loser guy he HAS to be completely irredeemable, if he's just generally annoying and shitty then i lose interest.

I'm still working on details; but my thought is that it was an honor siring situation. He was going to raise his kittens alone and claim Queen's Rights, but then he died in that fight with the impostor. He only told his close family about it.

So after the dust had settled, Heart and Dove contacted the honor dam/surrogate and asked what her plans with the kittens were, now that Strikestone was dead. That's how they ended up with Birch and Rowan.

Whoever they are, I think Strike was buddies with them, so I'm considering that maybe it was a litter of 3 and they kept one. But it's also possible that they established from the get-go that they did not want to raise kits, and so there were only 2 which Heart and Dove now have.

This means that they are considered Heartstar's kittens by all social means, but biologically, they are her grand-nespring.

stinky man whom i really like.

he's a good villain! he's scummy and pathetic but his obsession, while a tired trope, makes him one of the few interesting antagonists we have that aren't entirely driven by ambition. He's clingy and obsessive and a total creep and initially, the narrative is good at sticking to that! OotS was such a huge disappointment in the reveal that he went to StarClan but maaaannn ty TBC for immediately rectifying that by showing that no he IS a piece of shit.

i'm sad that tbc didn't really question the structures entirely that allowed this to happen but maaaann as a villain ashfur is top tier for me. he's good! i like him! literally possessed a guy and made a really entertaining villain!
