Treecko's introduction in the Eldritch Ash au is kind of funny because technically Ash can heal the tree but his healing powers have side-effects so he has to show Treecko and his family some pictures of Charizard's progression from when they first met so they're aware that if he brings their tree back it'll end up really creepy looking and probably have some weird supernatural properties and potentially might just end up as a giant Trevenant.

Turns out they're into that shit.

My favorite pokemon is actually Treecko and it's evolutions!

I watched Ash's Treecko put a twig in its mouth one (1) time and I thought it was the coolest Pokemon around

something i dont get is when people go “oh they misled us about ash going to paldea because team rocket went there in the shorts!!!” like idk that always rang to me as gen 9 promotion to tide people over while they were finishing up gen 8

Raikou just sprawled out on Alola’s sandy beaches. Torracat sprawled out either next to or on top of the legendary cat. As long as Ash and Pikachu stay within the electrics line of sight then the big cat Pokémon see’s no need to move.

Articuno and Suicune chilling at May’s house or either in some clearing nearby while Ash helps May with some contest routines and Max with his Treecko. Their straight gossiping about everything and anything and only Ash and the other Pokémon seem to understand what their mumbles and grumbles mean and Ash brushes it all off whenever May or Max ask for translation.

Cresselia finding themself in Ash’s backyard in Kanto. The boy too tired but he still can’t fall asleep, unlike his mother all tucked up in her bed and Pikachu who’s laying on the other back patio chair. They make sure to bless the two with sweet dreams while keeping silent companionship with Ash until the sun rises.

The -rus triplets (thundurus, tornadus and landorus) making sure Ash and the OG crew are able to find shelter during a sudden horrific lightning and rainstorm. Popping out of no where and are quite docile for Ash’s pass interactions with them, but he’ll take it if it means his friends are safe.

Yveltal and Xerneas both somehow in Sinnoh, watching Ash and the others from a distance as they all have a giant snowball war. Yveltal somewhat offering coverage to Xerneas and some smaller Pokémon from the light snow. Grumbling about how big the large deer pokemons antlers are before Xerneas tells them to shut up and rest their wing on said horns. Their not as prickly as they look.

Anyway so I've been thinking about this all day here have what little pokemon friends II characters would have. (not teams cause if I had to choose 6 I'd die)

I only got the 2 polycules and the brothers done so far lol.

Tissues: Cubchoo and Komala. Sleepy babies. Enough said.

Trophy: Scraggy/Scrafty and Cutiefly. Idk I feel like Scraggy or Scrafty would be a good work out vibing buddy and Cutiefly would act as like a little drone for sky photos. Most people in the hotel don't even know Cutiefly is Trophy's they just see her flying around the hotel sometimes and assume it's one of the girl's. (Also Cutiefly would sleep in his cup because yes.)

Cheesy: Alolan Rattata and Lechonk. Alolan Rattata because Cheesy is the type of bitch to name it "Luigi" and Lechonk because that name is funny as hell and Cheesy thinks so too.

Knife: Pancham and Purrserker. Pancham because they have the same vibe and Purrserker because lmao little knife cat man.

Pickel: Treecko and Charjabug. Cause if anyone is gonna have a starter Pokemon it's gonna be the resident video game nerd Pickle. And Charjabug because I think Pickle would think it's cute and Charjabug acts as his personal charger for his phone + switch.

Microphone: Chatot and Liepard. Chatot because colorful song bird that mimics people and Liepard cause Mic would be the type of bitch to keep a large semi feral cat around the house if given the chance and you cannot convince me otherwise. (Liepard and Purrserker cuddle a lot because they're both big ol cats lol)

Mephone4: Minun and Rotom. Minun because I feel like all of the Meeple devices should have Pikachu clones and Mephone would be twinning with 4S and Rotom because if anyone is gonna have a pokemon that can become a fridge and an oven it's gonna be Mephone c'mon.

Mephone4S: Plusle, Sylveon, and Krookodile. I picked three because I physically couldn't narrow it down. Plusle to match with Mephone because they're the brothers fr. Sylveon because he definitely nicknamed her "Kitty" after "Hello Kitty" and Krookodile because.... literally look at it. Krookodile is just 4S as a pokemon. The fact Ash's Krookodile in the anime wears sunglasses doesn't help.

ANYWAY I have no idea if anyone cares about this at all. Probably not but I thought it was cute lol. 12 year old me would be so happy. Good for her BSBDBD. I'm also definitely drawing these later but it's 2am so that's happening tomorrow l.

Pokemon anime request! Ash’s companions (other than Alola) reacting to his championship win in the Alola league

Misty: Knew from the time at the Orange League that he’d make it, if anything he already did back then. But league being official was just the last step. Still wished he used many of his water type Pokemon.

Brock: He called it the minute Ash forfeit his first gym battle ever. This kid was going to go far. Now if he could just get Kukui and others to help get him some therapy.

Tracy: He was literally drawing Ash’s final league battle from frame to frame. Goes on to make the Pokémon anime series with input from Ash and his other friends across the regions.

May: Knew he’d make it someday, after all, he beat the Battle Frontier. Hopefully he waited to have a big feast until her plane hit Alola.

Max: He finally been able to start his journey. He had just won his first gym badge when the league began. He quickly rushed home to watch the rest with his family. His Treecko and Ralts cheering with him as Ash won it. Of course, he always has a small part of him, guilty for how he treated Ash when they first meet. Boy, if he could go back in time and tell his past self this.

Dawn: Always knew he was going to win someday. She knew Piplup was all for it, plus not having to worry about his Gible’s draco meteor. Just wished she’d had been able to see it in person. But she clearly made that up once he went for the masters tournament!

Iris: Despite their quibbles, she always knew Ash would exceed in Pokémon battling. Now she wished he had more dragon types, let alone used the ones he had besides an ultra beast. But she’s proud either way.

Cilan: He knew it like the back of his hand, like the lines of a cookbook, the station to a train. Yeah he’s basically part of the Ash fanclub and for sure is the co-founder that totally bet Ash would become the best one day.

N: He knew the moment he laid eyes on Ash, that he’d do great things. He’s one of the reasons he can tolerate Pokemon battles, even see the enjoyment and thrill in some cases, but mostly through Ash’s battles. He could defiantly feel Ashs Pokémon’s cheers from all over the region, and perhaps a certain legendary bird or more.

Clemont: He’s a gym leader after all, he could tell from each battle he did whether someone could go far if given the push. Ash was one of those, despite the fact he knew since he first battled him when they first meet.

Serena: Knew he had it in him, and hoped he’d be happy. Also he rejected her and their good friends to this day.

Bonnie: Cheered the loudest, now even more psyched to go on her own journey. Perhaps battle Ash and his mons along the way.

Basing this on if the Alola series was only a couple months since Kalos (since it started as a summer trip) and lasted about a year after, hence why Max is old enough to go on a journey, but Bonnie isn’t.

Bonus! Rivals (and by rivals I mean actual rivals. Not looking at you Cameron and others I forget. Sorry Gladion and others I know but this is excluding Alola.)

Gary: While he wish he could kick his 10 year old’s butt, but he knows Ash won’t have gone as far without his help. So he better mention him in his acceptation speech. But for real, he’s so proud of Ashy Boy.

Paul: Ever since he heard of Ash beating the Battle Frontier, he knew he was going to become a champion. Not that he’d admit it. No, but he’d totally admit he had the better rival battle out of all of Ash’s rivals.

Barry: Now Ash owes him 10 million more, for he knew Ash would become champion. He just wished he’d battle him for that.

Trip: Ever since he loss to Ash in the Unova league, he’s gone through a big change. Ash showed him what the perfect trainer is, caring for Pokémon and people alike. So yeah, he’s less of a jerk.

Alain: While he wished he got a rematch before Ash made it, he’s glad he did. No matter how much of a odd presence keeps saying Ash was the Kalos champ despite the outcome.

Sawyer: He’s Ash’s number one fan. Of course he was going to become champion. Of course, he wished to battle him again before he done so.

more headcanons..

someone on ao3 requested I write headcanons about how the hoenn/unova teams would react to Snivy and Sceptile being together.. so I wrote some..

uh, quick disclaimer, palpitoad and boldore were kind of hard to write for without getting tooo headcanon-y cause neither of them really get a chance to display their personalities.. subsequently, there was only so much I could put down.. and it’s a shame, really, cause in both their debut episodes in best wishes they did have some personality and then we didn’t really see a lot of them after that. (did u guys know palpitoad has only appeared in 15 episodes out of the entire anime???)

Pikachu wishes he was at the lab with his friends a little more frequently so he’d be less out of the loop— but admittedly, while he traveled alongside Snivy, he couldn’t help but notice how similar she was to his old pal Sceptile. Inwardly he’d hoped that they’d at least get to know each other while he and Ash traveled in Kalos— he suspected they’d really get along!— and when he returned, he was ecstatic to find that they had fallen in love. 

Pikachu also gives Sceptile a bit of romance advice from time to time on his returns from his travels with Ash, given that he’s had his own set of experiences with the ladies.

But Pikachu’s not the only one giving Sceptile advice��

Aside from Pikachu, Swellow’s known Sceptile the longest— so he’s among the first to congratulate him on finding himself a partner. He had always had his suspicions about Sceptile and Snivy, but he never really bothered to approach Sceptile about it because he figured romance was… a touchy subject, for the grass type. 

Regardless, Swellow’s really proud of Sceptile, for sure— and he’s also Sceptile’s go-to for romantic advice, as well. 

Swellow’s sudden affinity for romance has got absolutely nothing to do with his connection to Staraptor and Unfezant, by the way. Nothing at all!

Torkoal is just so moved by Sceptile’s tumultuous romantic journey that when he’s first made aware of the news that Sceptile’s found a partner who makes him happy, he can’t do much more than cry, he’s so pleased.

Every time Torkoal happens to see Snivy and Sceptile doing something together, he gets all sentimental and teary-eyed, and although it’s unintentional, it embarrasses poor Sceptile to no end when Torkoal stops them to reminisce about when Sceptile was just a Treecko… 

Corphish is actually a little envious of Sceptile for getting a girlfriend before him— okay, a lot envious. But, somehow, Sceptile’s actually served to inspire Corphish to better himself so that maybe he’ll have a shot with the ladies, too. Nonetheless, he’s supportive and does enjoy making jokes about the pair at Sceptile’s expense.

Glalie is a lot like Corphish in this regard— both of them take great pleasure in embarrassing Sceptile in front of Snivy. Sceptile is not a fan. Glalie and Corphish together are a bit like the nosy (but well-meaning.. ish) in-laws.

Krookodile and Snivy aren’t exactly friends (not that they don’t like each other, they just don’t speak too often) but they do possess a mutual respect for one another. Krookodile also has a lot of respect for Sceptile, recognizing his strength. Sceptile and Snivy, paired together? Well, that makes plenty of sense to him. Every so often he’ll stop to ask Snivy about him. 

Donphan’s not entirely certain what Sceptile and Snivy being together really means, but they’re super happy for Sceptile nonetheless. 

Scraggy, like Donphan, doesn’t really have a good grasp on what it means to be in a romantic relationship, but, for the most part, he’s just happy Snivy’s happy. She’s a little more fun to be around now that she’s got Sceptile, so he’s A-OK in Scraggy’s book since he makes her so happy.

Oshawott, like Corphish, is a little envious that Snivy’s in a relationship.. but he likes to take advantage of that fact more than anything else. Snivy being occupied with Sceptile means one less Pokémon preventing him from making mischief. He also enjoys telling Sceptile little stories about Snivy with the intention of embarrassing her— but Sceptile just thinks the anecdotes are cute. If Sceptile wasn’t so fond of hearing the tales, though, Snivy would be quick to send Oshawott into orbit with a Leaf Storm. 

Pignite’s aware Sceptile makes Snivy happy. He’s pleased she’s found someone, but every so often he and Sceptile’ll butt heads. He can’t help but be just a little bit wary of him. Pignite’s a little unnerved by this new, slightly-cheerier Snivy, so he’s naturally a little curious about Sceptile. What is it about him that makes Snivy swoon so much? Sceptile and Pignite aren’t enemies, per se.. but they’re not really friends, either. They’ll coexist when Snivy’s nearby, but they tend to avoid each other when she’s not. He’s not ready to admit it to himself, but.. Pignite doesn’t trust Sceptile. Not with his best friend’s heart.

Unfezant’s proud of Snivy for “wrangling herself a man”, considering she’s got two boy-toys of her own (looking at you, Staraptor and Swellow). She and Snivy’ll sometimes get together and have “girl talks” about their partners— though really they’re more boasting sessions than anything else. 

Leavanny’s a big fan of the new development! He makes lots of matching outfits for the couple and enjoys indulging in gossip surrounding the pair. 

Charizard, much like Krookodile, holds a lot of respect for both Pokémon. Sceptile and Snivy getting together wasn’t all that surprising to him— but he does like to make a show of patting Sceptile on the back and going “Well if it ain’t the lab’s resident stud!”

Boldore doesn’t really get it, but Sceptile seems cool enough. 

Palpitoad’s mostly just interested in battling Sceptile more than anything else. But he thinks Sceptile’s pretty cool.
