I WILL SAY!!! While Sally DOES have a lot of classic tragedy inspiration in her story, she's not an example of the Cassandra Metaphor! She was not shouting for help unheard or unheeded and warning of prophecy! That's not Sally's role and putting that role onto her would imply a lack of power in her circumstances! Sally DID have power, but not the amount of power to change the entire 18th century view on mental health, the mentally ill and the insane asylum/hospital industry of the time. Sally wasn't warning of a prophecy, she WAS the prophecy.

Doe, whereas, is a PERFECT example of the Cassandra Metaphor because her ENTIRE story from beginning to end involves her screaming for help, both literally and metaphorically but going unheard due to the 'curses' in place that made her predictions and assessment of reality seem 'skewed' or 'attention seeking' to the outside world because the entire basis of the culture she lived in made it to where people in her situation and circumstances would NEVER be believed! But Doe was right, Doe was always right. Screaming the prophecy and tragedy of her young life every day when it began to when it ended and for nothing. At least she can T-bag killers in the afterlife though!

"Don't sing my praises just yet Naruto." He did try to fix it, to the best of his abilities, but he didn't have glue on him and it looked like it would need it. The leg went back into place but it didn't stay and it risked that chance of it falling off again.

But Naruto looked so hopeful, that Iruka didn't want to break his little heart.

"I can't fix it all the way without taking it home with me." He explained, gently. "So why don't we go pick out a friend for it at the store that you can play with in the meantime, hm?"

He bounces on the balls of his feet as he eagerly watches Iruka fiddle with the broken toy, trying to fix it. It was super cute and it had looked so lonely laying in the grass with its little leg laying beside it too far away.

"You're the best, Iruka-sensei!!"

He really hoped Iruka could fix it so he could take it home with him and then maybe he wouldn't be so lonely anymore. He'd have a friend to share his meals with and something to wake up to in the morning besides an empty apartment.

For Seb, what would he say his greatest flaw is? And what would other people say his greatest flaw is? Who is most right?

hehe this is a wonderful question bc i have been going back and forth on this for a hot minute. don't mind the actual essay i just wrote about this.

tldr; he's incredibly controlling, and while sebastian himself doesn't see this as a flaw, everybody else in his life certainly does, but the degree to which it negatively affects his relationships varies greatly.

i feel that my characterisation for seb isn't quite as nailed down as it is for the other two, and that's largely because he has grown so far from his initial inspiration a gay less problematic properly kink-aware christian grey that i don't quite know what to do with him now that he's trans and autistic and occasionally shy and WOW that is not where i started

so that being said. i think objectively speaking his greatest flaw is his very intense need for control. he was a foster kid, and a trans, autistic one at that, with addiction problems from an early age and a whole lot of anger at the world, and back then he had no control over anything in his life. then he got older, richer, and gained a whole lot of control over every area of his life and more, and he struggles to let go of that control for even a second. everything he does, he does in an environment where he maintains the most control possible, and he refuses to do anything outside of that. he uses his money to achieve this. it causes a lot of problems, both for himself and his marriage.

i don't necessarily think he recognises his control issues for the problem that it is, though. being in control feels good and safe to him. he sees himself as a protector and a provider, someone who cares for other people and keeps them safe. anything he does in the name of that is justified. i don't think he sees it as a flaw. sebastian would probably consider his biggest flaw his inability to let go, which is closely related to his control issues but not quite the same thing.

conversely, i think those around him absolutely recognise his control issues as the flaw that it is. his husband certainly struggles with it, because he has no desire to be controlled or protected, and their marriage mostly thrives on the provider part of that. caspar, on the other hand, thrives on sebastian's control issues. they make him feel safe and protected and while he enjoys mocking sebastian for how obsessive he can be, he largely doesn't mind it. he would still say it's a problem, but more for how it affects sebastian himself and the parts of life it stops him from enjoying, rather than how it affects their relationship.

sebastian's character arc throughout the casparverse should really be centered around his control issues, but it's definitely not something he will every truly overcome. he can be controlling and obsessive and relentless to an occasionally problematic degree, and that is definitely his greatest flaw.

I will say, on the record: I am the number one stan of Walter Dornez getting a strange and elusive femme fatale — but specifically one that's going to give him a run for his money.

The C in Dornez stands for both Cunt and Crap-Talking, and Walter does not deserve a woman that can turn the other cheek and allow his ego to have the last word.

Would he want one? Probably, but this is what he needs, not what he wants. Walter is not a man who I believe could ever be entirely humbled. Even on his deathbed, this man was anywhere but willing to admit that he was not all that.

But Walter, in his own way, can be settled. He won't ever be fully less than anything, but he can have an equal, in skill or.... personality. Trying to demonstrate your skill to put Walter in his place is a losing battle. Out-cunting him and returning his barbs, though? Doable and encouragable - he deserves disgust turning to infatuation.

Walter deserves the losing battle of trying to hold back quiet snickering when the femme fatale's wit gets to him. Walter deserves to feel small around emotions that have him puffing up with indignation like he's been told he'd be bedbound for a week. Walter deserves a femme fatale that will challenge him!

The blue light disappears as fast as it appears, and Michelangelo is only able to register just in time to catch the tiniest turtle. Michelangelo looks up as he recovers form the scare, blinking at the newly deposited children. The purple one skitters off into a corner of the room, staring at him with wary eyes. Best not to approach that one.

With a free hand, he types into the server to ask if anybody had lost four children. For evidence, he takes a photo of the one in his palm with the laptop's camera. He only gets messages upon messages of shock and confusion in return—most of them accusations towards neon!Donnie. So no one in the server is responsible.

Light scratching on his leg alerts him to the biggest of the new babes, looking and gesturing at his palm. The smallest one mews back, reaching out towards the spiky one. Michelangelo gives him the baby, to which he brings to the last one and the three huddle in a pile. So this was a thing that was happening. He's already taking care of four baby turtles. What's four more?

He should introduce them to the others as soon as possible.

getting obsessed with the thought of kidou's interaction with haruna's parents. like the first time they met (after haruna told them about the reason why he wasnt contacting her and clearing his name to them), they both greeted him with a hug and told him that he's family too and he can hang out there whenever he wants. he choked at the unconditional love and attention that he never had from an adult outside of hakamada whom also likes jokingly keeping him at his toes (just to keep him from being understimulated mostly)

and then when given the news that the otonashi family would be having a baby boy (adopted also) and kidou being told by haruna's parents yes of course you're his big brother also. he just about breaks down in tears. he has more family than he has ever imagined in having before :')
