How you get the girl | DR3
― Pairing: Daniel Ricciardo x black!plus size!reader ― Warning: mentions of food and alcohol; Mclaren Danny and tooth-rotting fluff. (1.5k words) ― Summary: Yn is tired of going on dates only to realize that the guy she thought was great, was actually terrible. So that’s why when her friend tells her she knows someone who would match perfectly, Yn accepts the blind date. It’s gonna be her last attempt at love, and now Daniel only has one date to prove he’s worth it. (based on this request)

There are many ways in which one can fall in love. Yn didn't expect it to happen with her on the first date. To be fair, she didn’t expect it to happen to her at all. Being a plus-size black girl she learned to love herself, well aware that the way society portrays beauty wouldn’t always include her. Her shade, shape, and experiences. Which doesn’t mean she was not pretty. Quite the opposite, she knew she was stunning, and no validation was needed for that, yet you can miss it every once in a while. It rejoices your soul to hear how good you look and how smart you are.
But she left it on the second plan, focusing on her work and studies. Things were good, great even, however, her friends knew she deserved someone good. And as it happens, they knew exactly the pair for her.
Daniel was not looking for love either. He liked how things were going, and liked how he was able to focus in a different light this season, however, he missed it. Missed having someone to celebrate post-races with, to cuddle, and to hold him when he felt down. That’s why when Adam and Amina, two of his close friends from a tight group, proposed to set him up on a blind date he accepted. There wasn’t anything to lose, and he liked to follow his own bits of advice about enjoying being naive, enjoying the butterflies.
Even though it was a blind date, it was Danny who set up everything, with the help of his friends, of course. According to them, Yn would like a beach date. So that’s what he aimed for.
And it felt just right when she showed up wearing an orange summer set with a shy, yet bright smile on her face.
Yn didn’t know at the time, but she had just given a whole meaning to the orange color for him.
“You must be Amina’s friend, Daniel, right?” Yn asked, voice being carried by the wind and getting mixed with the sounds of waves crashing behind them.
Daniel nodded watching her curls bounce and her lips stretch in a small smile, “Yeah-Yeah, it’s me.”
“Yn,” they shook hands with a shy smile because even though Daniel was anything but shy, something about that date seemed new to him, like something he never experienced before.
“I hope you like the beach, and pizza. I wanted to go for something private and chill, Amina and Adam agreed, but still, I hope I got this right.”
She smiles, looks at the blanket on the sand, the pizza box, and the wine, then nods, “I love it. It’s exactly what I would go for had I been the one to choose the setting.”
“Really?” There’s a slight hint of disbelief mixed with amusement in his tone, and it makes Yn chuckle.
“Maaaaybe this would tie with a coffee shop date,” she confesses.
“We can do coffee shop for our second date,” Daniel is quick to shoot his shot and Yn arches her brow, she wants to smile again.
“What makes you think we’re having a second date?”
“I’m just manifesting, throwing it to the universe,” he jokes and she can’t help but laugh while they walk side by side to the blanket. “See? I made you laugh, my chances are getting higher, aren’t they?”
“It all depends on the pizza flavor, now.”
“Good thing I got one slice from each, then.”
“You kidding me?”
“No, and I got a whole one of your favorite flavor, well, according to Amina.”
Yn watches in disbelief and Danny sits by her side and sure enough, opens the two boxes of pizza showing her a pizza with different slices and a whole one of her favorite.
“Ok, and that’s how you get the girl. You might have landed a second date, Daniel.”
He smiles brightly and she can’t help but think that he now has a third one too.
“So, aside from having a great taste in pizza, what else should I know about you?” He asks while opening the wine bottle and Yn chews on a bit of food before starting to tell him about herself.
They go back and forth, there’s never the awkward silence, and they realize they have many things in common aside from the two friends that set them up. Yn has no idea he’s a driver and somehow it makes Daniel even more enamored by her. She seems to like him for who he is truly, and not because of a cool side of his that happens to make him famous and rich. It’s warm and fuzzy, and fun, and the symphony of waves crashing down and giggles envelop their afternoon until the sun starts to set and they decide to head home parting with a timid kiss in the corner of their lips.
It’s on the second date when she makes fun of his milk foam mustache and sips her own coffee mirroring his image that Daniel realizes he might be in love. Her dark skin is glowing, and the hair atop her head is like a halo, while she smiles at his camera with a funny face pointing at her mustache. Both unaware there are other people in the small coffee shop.
Daniel can only see Yn.
And Yn can only see Daniel.
At the end of that date, he takes her home and kisses her at her door. It’s soft and warm, and it feels right. It feels perfect. They fit together like two puzzle pieces. His heart racing under her hand, and her face stretching in a smile under his. He gets inside, and they talk and kiss a bit more before he has to leave.
It doesn’t take long for the third date to happen. Just two days, both counting the hours to see each other while frantically texting. It’s a drive-in theater, Yn’s idea. They watch a horror movie while Daniel gets scared by the jumps every time, making Yn laugh. They also share a popcorn pot, fingers shyly caressing the other whenever they touch by accident. When the movie ends and the credits are rolling around, the moon and the gleam from the big screen in front of them casting a distinctive glow on Yn, Daniel is sure he’s in love.
“Hey, so- I have this race next week, would you wanna go with me? I can fly you out on Saturday, or you can go with me and see how everything works from behind the scenes,” he suggests, fingers crossed in the dark praying for her to accept, praying for her not to think he’s being too fast. Maybe he was indeed, but this was all new to him too. He was fast on the track, he was never this fast outside it, never this fast to fall, to want someone, to seek someone, to show off someone. He wanted her by his side.
“Wouldn’t it be like making things official?” Yn asks genuinely curious and Daniel can tell by the way she bites her lips and one of her eyebrows goes up the slightest.
“Yeah, am I going too fast?”
“I mean, you’re a racing driver, I would say it’s your job to go fast, isn’t it?” She jokes and he laughs throwing his head on the headrest.
“Yes, but outside the track, I only wanna go fast like this for you.”
“That was so cheesy.”
“But did you like it?” He grins, and Yn rolls her eyes playfully before her body bends over the dash to capture his lips in a kiss.
“I loved it.”
And so a few days later Yn finds herself on a private plane meeting a bunch of different people and being introduced as his girlfriend, because sure enough, Daniel asked properly when he dropped her home that night. He got her a necklace and everything the next day. She learns that racing and the whole Formula 1 thing is more hectic than it seemed, but still, it’s fun. Amina and Adam watch the Sunday race with her, making fun of the way she can’t help but cheer loudly sometimes and bite her nails.
That was the Sunday Daniel got P1. The same Sunday he ran to her before the podium and kissed her lips in front of everyone, giving her his biggest smile and thanking her for being there, his lucky charm.
That was also the Sunday he said he loved her for the first time while they celebrated in private after the party. Laced in each other's love, gazing into the other’s eye, the certainty of the truth behind his statement.
Their friends were right, they were perfect for each other.

Moth to a flame
"She was drawn to him like a moth to a flame, unable to resist the allure of his presence."
As we pulled over in my mansion's driveway, I looked at him, our eyes telling a silent story to each other. The bond we shared, unspoken but deeply felt, was reflected in that quiet moment.
"Allow me to fetch the plates and whiskey. Let's sit in the garden and eat the pizza. It's so serene here," I suggested.
"I need to change first," he replied.
"Very well, go change. In the meantime, I'll make the arrangements," I responded with a smile.
I went inside and gathered plates, glasses, and a bottle of whiskey. I arranged them neatly on the garden table, ensuring everything was perfectly set for a peaceful evening.
I also changed into a sexy black silk slip dress with a long net shrug. My long, wavy hair cascaded down my back. After spritzing on my favorite perfume, I sat on the garden bench, waiting for him.
I poured whiskey into two glasses, holding one in my hand. The night was beautiful and so peaceful, the perfect setting for a quiet evening together.
I heard him approaching and turned my head, giving him a smile. My heart fluttered every time I saw him.
He was wearing a grey t-shirt and black jeans, with his usual gloves. The balaclava was replaced by his full skull mask, making my heart skip a beat at the sight.
His t-shirt revealed his rugged physique, the tattoo on his arm visible in the moonlight. The dog tags around his neck glinted on his broad chest. The moonlight falling on him made him look otherworldly.
He approached me and stood behind me, gently brushing my hair to one side of my shoulder. I felt the coldness of metal against my neck and looked down to see a small diamond locket.
The alphabet N and S were intricately mingled together on it. He locked the chain. The silent gesture spoke volumes, filling my heart with warmth and affection.
He gently put his finger under my chin, lifting it slightly to meet his gaze. Our eyes locked, and in that moment, I felt a rush of anticipation and a tingle of excitement coursing through me.
He made his way over, never losing eye contact, and sat beside me, draping one arm on the bench behind me. I watched him in silence, our eyes not leaving eachother.
He was manspreading, and my eyes darted towards his thick thighs and then down to his boots. This man was perfection. Gosh, I loved everything about him.
"It's so beautiful, Simon. Where did you get it?" I asked, admiring the intricate design of the locket.
"Got it when you were shopping for yourself. I hit a jewelry store," he replied, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.
I handed him the whiskey glass. He rolled his mask up to where the skull ended and chugged it in one gulp. He looked so hot while doing it. His rugged demeanor and the intensity in his eyes added to the allure, making my heart race with excitement.
I opened the pizza box and took out the slices, placing them on the plate, which I then handed to him along with a fork and knife. I started eating mine, savoring each bite of the delicious pizza.
We ate in silence. After I finished, I started drinking my whiskey, enjoying the warmth it brought on the cool evening.
He finished eating too and put his plate aside. I looked at him, and he looked at me. Our eyes held a silent conversation, speaking volumes without needing words. In that moment, everything felt perfect and right.
I filled him another glass of whiskey, and he sipped it slowly, his eyes never leaving me for a moment. I felt a flutter of butterflies in my stomach, his intense gaze sending shivers down my spine. The air crackled with anticipation as we both savored the moment, lost in each other's presence.
"Let's play a game," he said breaking the ice.
"Which game?" I asked, curious about his suggestion.
"Hide and seek," he replied.
"At this time?" I questioned, surprised by his choice.
"Yes. You know the nook and cranny of your home, so you hide. I will come and find you," he added with a mischievous grin.
"Okay," I said, agreeing to the challenge. The idea of hiding and him coming to find me sent shivers down my spine, but it was thrilling nonetheless.
"How will you find me, Simon? It's such a big place," I questioned.
"Trust me, I will. Bet?" he proposed.
"What's the catch?" I asked, sensing there was more to it.
"You will have to give me whatever I ask you," he said with a sly smile.
"Okay, fine. Deal," I agreed, feeling a mixture of excitement and apprehension. I stood up, ready to begin the game.

Plumbers log, 311016
I have an Experience that I feel needed to be talked about
It was Halloween. I wouldn't think anything of it normally.
I started the day like any other. I had woken up in my bed. Sleeping in as I only had one appointment
I had showered. I gotten dressed. And walked down the stairs to our kitchen.
Meggy was already up, as was Peach.
I remember we had my wife's favorite in the morning. A steak and tofu omelette. Personally I can't stand eggs or tofu. But I forced myself to eat the dish. I would just stop by Retties or Paisansos to get a Pizza de Salami later.
I talked with Peach and Meggy. Peach had a normal agenda for the day. An appearance at the E.A.C.H. center as well as some appearances at some gatherings.
Meggy was going to hang out in the castle. she did not really seem interested in trick-or-treating. Truthfully, it seems like she changes her mind every other year. I guess it has to do with her hiding her hair under her hat. But I try to be supportive anyway.
I finished my cappuccino and grabbed my toolbox.
I needed to stop by Wundeshwun. I ran through the obstacle course for old times sake. I swear. Changing the flag with your own never gets old.
Though once I re-replace the when that's supposed to be there. It becomes a little less fun.
I picked up a part I needed. Though as it was afternoon when I got the part. I decided to get lunch at Retties.
I only ate a small 10 inch Supreme Pizza. Of course I did leave some room for dessert with about six cannolis.
Unfortunately as I was about to enjoy my seventh. I got an alert from Castle town on my flip phone.
Mama mia.
It was Tatanga. I haven't fought him since 2006 when I was scouting and whether or not me and Peach wanted to have our wedding on the moon.
I rushed immediately to Castle town after stuffing the other three cannolis in my mouth and paying.
Tatanga was wrecking everything. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact he was an evil alien, I would have written a letter of recommendation to my old boss in college Spike.
I jumped between some broken rubble and an unwrecked building.
This pesky conqueror was here to conquer the kingdom. Mostly out of Revenge for me saving my cousin-law Daisy back in the eightys.
We fought for a bit. I jump on his head and he attacks.
He managed to actually get some good hits up at me.
I landed in a museum. Honestly, I'd say I might have been done for if I haven't been through this trouble before.
Tatanga was about to attack.
When suddenly. I heard a yell. Coming from the other side of the hall.
It was some kid in an employee uniform with a bush with super balls.
He started throwing them at Tatanga.
I'm not sure what happened. But the attack made by this kid made Tatanga retreat.
I dusted myself off. And was going to thank the kid. But before I could, I was surrounded by fans and news reporters. I did make sure to thank the kid on the news but I think he was pushed out of the way so he couldn't see it in person.
Later in the day when I came back home to the castle. I asked Toadsworth for a favor. I asked him if he could bring the kid here. I'd like to thank him personally and offer him a medal.
I got myself ready in the evening.
I would invite him into the meeting room we use for battle strategies and paying our taxes. I even brought out a couple slice of my favorite cake, pepperoni cheesecake.
I did do a little bit of book learning to see who this kid was. His name is Garth and he was in the news about a year ago. He was unfortunately taken from his home from a device that acts like a warp pipe.
I can understand the feeling. If it wasn't for Luigi, the princess, and Toad. I would have never gotten used to the Mushroom Kingdom
When the kid arrived. I explained that it was an honor for him to be there. I could see the smile on his face. He explained that he was a big fan of my Adventures.
As I was about to actually show him the medal. He said something that's shook me to my core
"you've done so much good for this world and met so many amazing people people. You've been to the Underwhere and back. You fought Bowser and saved Princess Peach dozens of times. You've helped places like New Donk City, Rapland, Dome City, Rogue Port, New York City, Pilloh Island..."
He kept going on and on about all the stuff I've done for quite some time.
I've never heard it told so passionately.
I decided to make a decision.
I would offer this kid a chance to be my Apprentice and take over my title of SUPER
I'll do it as a thank you. A chance for him to be a hero like me. Since he looked up to me.
I assume that he might resign.
But there is a chance that he might prove himself. I can see him becoming SUPER
...
SUPER Garth.
It has a nice ring to it.
But only time will tell.

🎮Tubbo x fem!reader 💛 Keys to Comfort: A Piano Lesson with Tubbo
Requestsed? No
Summery: Tubbo teaching you how to play the piano and you getting frustrated because you find it more difficult than you thought it'd be and he comforts you and you two end up ordering pizza and watching The Office in his bed.
Trigger warnings: none
As Tubbo patiently sat beside me, fingers gliding effortlessly over the piano keys, I couldn’t help but feel a pang of frustration. His easy mastery made it all seem so simple, yet my attempts felt clumsy and discordant.
“I just can’t get it right,” I muttered, pressing the wrong keys once again.
“Hey, it’s okay,” Tubbo reassured, his cheerful tone attempting to alleviate my growing frustration. “Learning the piano takes time. You’re doing great!”
But the notes sounded anything but great to my ears. I sighed, feeling utterly defeated. Tubbo noticed the shift in my mood and placed a gentle hand on my shoulder.
“Let’s take a break,” he suggested, leading the way to his cozy living room. The scent of freshly ordered pizza wafted through the air, promising comfort.
As we settled in, the familiar intro of The Office filled the room, and Tubbo handed me a slice of pizza. “This always helps me unwind when I’ve had a tough day.”
The tension slowly dissolved as we laughed at Michael Scott’s antics and quoted our favorite lines. Tubbo’s infectious laughter was contagious, and soon, my frustration melted away into the shared comfort of a favorite show and good company.
“It’s not about getting it perfect the first time,” Tubbo said gently, glancing at the abandoned piano in the corner of the room. “It’s about enjoying the journey of learning. And trust me, it gets better.”
His words lingered in the air, carrying a sense of reassurance. Maybe learning the piano wouldn’t be an instant success, but having Tubbo’s support made the journey seem less daunting.
As the episode came to an end, Tubbo flashed a grin. “Ready to give it another shot?”
I nodded, feeling more determined than before. With Tubbo’s patient guidance, I returned to the piano, ready to embrace the challenge once more, this time with a newfound sense of perseverance and a slice of encouragement, just like the pizza we shared earlier.

TBOSAS on Crack short take (30)
*When Dean Highbottom revealed all the Mentors’ infamous list of crimes to everyone at The Academy*
Casca: Thank you, my dear students, for coming to our annual school meeting in Heavensbee Hall. May this year start with good-
Festus: *raises hand* Sir! Dean Highbottom Sir, will there be free food after?!
Casca: Put your hand down, Mr. Creed. And do shut up while I’m spea-
Festus: But I’m hungry~.🥺
Iphigenia: Me too!
Androcles: Can we have pizza? I really want to eat a slice of pizza right now.
Coryo: Is pie even on the menu?
Pup: Does anyone want soup?
Sejanus: I brought bread pudding.
Felix: Can we have takeouts?
Casca: Wait a damn minute! Creed, why are you and your classmates here?! Didn’t I personally banned your class from attending forever?!
Coryo: *stands up* But sir, this is The Academy’s annual meeting. Our class must be allowed to-
Casca: Sit the f*ck down and shut your mouth, Crassus Snow!😡🔪
Coryo: But-
Casca: Not another word, Xanthos!
Festus: Can we ask why?
Casca: Why?! Do you even remember what your class did last year?!
Felix: Sir, I swear it wasn’t us!
Androcles: I wasn’t even there when that incident blew up!
Casca: Don’t you dare lie to me, boy! You were even one of the masterminds-
Livia: Oh, move on, Highbottom!🙄💅
Coryo: Yeah! The water wasn’t even that deep-
Casca: Your freaking accursed class flooded the entire Heavensbee Hall with glitter!
Hilarius: Well, no one got hurt.
Festus: And everyone enjoyed-
Casca: Do you know how much money The Academy had to pay the freaking Department of Education to fix your mess?! To fix our screen?! To get rid of the hot pink glitter?!
Coryo: The glitter was Livia’s idea-
Casca: I had to take another freaking big ass loan from Mama Cardew!😩
Livia: And because of that, my allowance tripled!🥳
Felix: It wasn’t that bad-
Casca: I should’ve just expelled all of you! Especially you, Creed!!
Festus: But you didn’t!😂
Casca: Do you even know how many crimes I had to cover up for your class?!
Androcles: What crimes are we speaking of? Outside or just inside the school?
Felix: I ain’t no criminal! I’m innocent!
Casca: Just let me grab my list. . . Oh, here it is! *reveals a big ass book instead*
Livia: is that your very own Burn Book?
Casca: Mic check, mic check-
Coryo: Well, Andie, good luck. I just hope they didn’t tell Highbottom about the missing Pitbull Rabbit Incident.
Androcles: You know what, I hope they did.😌
Lysistrata: Impressive, really.
Casca: Let’s start small. The first petty crime your class committed was the stealing and eating of the Dean’s favorite apple pie without remorse.
Coryo: That was one time.
Lysistrata: Twelve times, Coryo.
Casca: Another was when a certain someone deliberately locked me up inside the broom closet. Also, without remorse.
Florus: What? I didn’t want to receive a demerit. And I really needed to steal that bleach from the Dean.
Casca: The third was when a certain rich girl illegally customized and dyed our prestigious school uniform sunshine yellow without my consent.
Juno: Excuse me? Yellow was the color of that season, peasant.💅
Casca: There was also that time when someone stole my Bichon puppy and dyed its fluffy fur lime green.
Io: I swear it was in the name of science.
Casca: *keeps on reading* Stealing and hacking my personal computer to change his or her math and literature grade.
Apollo: To be fair, Andie just helped us do the stealing.
Iphigenia: So who did the hacking?
Diana: Coryo Snow.
Coryo: 50 bucks is 50 bucks.
Sejanus: And you guys didn’t even think to invite me?!
Casca: Quiet! Now where was I-
Clemensia: Page 4, paragraph 5, line 7, Sir.
Casca: Oh, yes. Calling and pestering the National Security, just because his calculator was stolen.
Urban: It was a serious national crisis! We had a calculus test that day!
Androcles: And I needed that calculator more than Urban.
Casca: The smuggling of illegal drugs to school, and passing them off as ✨Miracle Pills✨.
Lysistrata: Last I checked, my parents are certified doctors. But for legal reasons, it wasn’t me, officer.
Casca: Dumpster-diving for scraps before class, and lying to Peacekeepers that it was a legitimate after-school activity.
Festus: Collecting free food coupons inside Highbottom’s dumpster is not a crime!
Casca: Skipping school for the hundredth time to attend an underground fancy-dress rave.
Arachne: What? Domitia and Vipsania were also doing it.
Casca: Emptying the school’s food pantry to feed their Tributes.
Coryo: Oh, c’mon! I wasn’t the only one! The Ring twins and the others were doing it too!
Casca: Stealing the Dean’s morphling bottles and illegally reselling them at the Capitol Black Market.
Androcles: Honestly, I needed the extra cash.
Felix: Why? Your family’s rich.
Androcles: My mama froze my allowance after I stole my uncle’s credit card to buy “prohibited” fireworks for the New Year.
Casca: The Smuggling and trading of banned films and items at school for personal profit.
Dennis: It was a really good and profitable business!
Casca: Vandalizing the school’s Hall of Fame by spray painting their family crest on every corner of the hallway.
Hilarius: And it was worth it.
Casca: Poisoning and almost killing half of the school by bringing their infamous deadly apple pies to our ✨End of The Year Class Party✨.
Palmyra: Well, I just hope that this juvenile criminal was caught and sentenced to prison.😌💅
Casca: Annually scaring the freshmen by dressing up as a bloody serial killer cannibal ghost every October.
Persephone: It was pretty funny though.
Casca: Lying to the School Board Committee that I was a certain someone’s sugar daddy who willingly pays for his sugar baby’s education.
Livia: You weren’t?! I mean, you and Coriolanus Snow were so-
Coryo: What the actual f*ck, Livia!
Sejanus: Coryo’s mine!!😡🔪
Casca: Secretly depleting and embezzling the class fund without their classmates’ consent.
Iphigenia: Oh, that’s so horrible! Who would ever do such a horrid thing?
Everyone:. . .
Iphigenia: But for legal reasons, I hope they’ll be caught soon.
Casca: Hacking the school’s sound system to automatically play ✨Gem of Panem✨ whenever I enter and exit a room.
Diana: It was funny!
Casca: Bringing a whole ass dairy cow to their Class Show & Tell, just to milk it in front of the judges.
Domitia: I was thirsty!😩
Casca: Stealing a Jabberjay from Dr. Gaul’s lab and teaching it to say “Your school sucks! Go home, Losers!” to guest students and professors.
Vipsania: To be fair, my aunt (Professor Sickle) gave me her permission.
Casca: Forging his father’s very important signature in order to skip school and attend an underground rap competition.
Pup: The prize money was really worth it, Sir!
Casca: Smuggling illegal sexy magazines and secretly placing them inside my office.
Gaius: To be fair, it was a dare.
Casca: Using his granduncle’s influential family name and position to delay the Hunger Games for the hundredth time.
Felix: Can’t we just officially postpone it forever? No one really wants to watch it anyway.
Casca: Lying to Capitol News that I was unfairly treating and harassing a certain student for being poor.
Clemensia: I wasn’t lying! You were literally emotionally abusing poor Coryo!😠
Casca: How dare you place yourself between me and my Crassus! You have no right to slander me and my boyfriend like that!
Clemensia: *sighs* I should’ve added “delusional” as well.😞
Casca: Now, where was I? Oh, yes! Stealing my boyfriend (Crassus) and claiming that their so called “Snowjanus” ship is better than #Crasca4Ever!
Sejanus: Becuase it is the superior ship!
Casca: No, it’s not!😡🔪

Vegan Kin Food Ideas
S'up! So, we've been seeing a lot of kin food posts, but the focus is always on meat. Then when vegan or vegetarian options are listed it's like salad + fruit and that's it. We've been vegan for some years now so here's a list of things we eat that we think others might enjoy too!
A piece of advice we found helpful is to think about the food item you miss and break it down into what exactly you miss. If you miss eating gems, is it the appearance? The crunch? Gritty texture or dry taste? In that spirit of that, our list will be largely broken up by texture/experience.
Crunch Crunch Snacks
This includes snacks/sides that get your jaws working or have a satisfying "snap" to them.
Roasted chickpeas
Kale chips
Ants on a log (celery, peanut butter and raisins)
Hummus + baby bell peppers/sugar snap peas/carrots
Granola / cereals (a lot of types are vegan, read the ingredients before purchasing)
Banana chips
Nuts + seeds
Popcorn (avoid "buttery" packages, buy plain or kettle corn)
Peanut butter pretzels (crunchy outside, delicious soft inside)
Smartie candies
Keep your cookies/chocolate bars in the fridge or freezer
Also, load cookies up with extra nuts/seeds/choco chips
Soft, but with some crunch
This section is for dishes/sides that are overall easier on the teeth, but with elements that still crunch or snap. If you're looking for recipes that combine different texture elements check these out.
Lentil nachos + nacho cheese sauce
"Crunchwrap" (quesadilla made with refried beans and homemade cheese sauce that we open and place tortilla chips and lettuce inside after grilling)
Tempeh bacon (we like this on a BLT or grilled cheese sandwich)
Crispy tofu sandwiches
Grilled asparagus
Apple slices with nut butter
Pickles
Apple turnovers
Vegan sushi (there's a ton of recipes, check out these two collections to get started X, X)
Falafel (can be used a hundred different ways, sandwiches, wraps, on it's own, etc.)
Roasted chickpeas again, but with a caveat**: You can roast them at 350 F for 30 mins and they'll be cooked enough to pop between your teeth, but soft in the center. We like to either eat them as-is or top our salads with them. (We season with salt/pepper before going into the oven, nothing else) **Must be eaten after baking, they will not keep
For the foragers in the crowd
These dishes focus more on having either multiple different foods in a visible way or a tactile element to how you eat them.
Chia pudding
Smoothie bowls
Overnight oatmeal
Trail mix
Pumpkin bars (We replace the egg with a flax egg and use vegan butter)
Chocolate chip banana monkey bread
Corn on the cob
Grilled veggie kebabs
Cranberry cilantro quinoa salad
Chili
Bush's beans and rice
Salads topped with sliced fruit, nuts, grains and/or beans
Edamame (a favorite, we love pulling out the insides with our teeth, you can get ones without the pods if they bother you)
Plant-based burgers, the kinds with the chunks of veggies (our favorite is dr. praeger's black bean quinoa burgers)
Chewy Foods
This section is for foods that work your jaw, but more in a "needing to chew" way.
Potato gnocchi
Dried fruit (comes in all different flavors, not just raisins)
Swedish fish, red vines, skittles or sour patch kids
Granola bars (a lot of types are vegan, read the ingredients before purchasing)
Thick bread-y pizza (our favorite dough recipe)
Pancakes
Chewy chocolate chip cookies
Peanut butter cookies
Baked oatmeal
Potato skins
Meat Substitutes
The most obvious way to make a dish vegan is to sub in the appropriate mock meat. We've eaten quite a few and we won't sugar-coat it: a lot of them are either going to match the taste, texture, OR look. It's hard for mock meats to copy meat 1:1, some get way closer than others, but if you go into this expecting no difference you will be disappointed.
Our two favorite brands are Impossible and Gardein. We've tried a lot of their products and have yet to eat one we don't like.
These aren't your only options though!
Beans
Falafel (deep-fried balls of ground chickpea)
Tofu
Tempeh (fermented soybeans)
Seitan (made from wheat gluten)
Jack fruit
You might have guessed based on the recipes shared, but we usually opt for beans. We haven't eaten much seitan or jack fruit, but they are options. At our local grocery stores they're sold in the "free from" section and can be brought pre-seasoned and ready to cook with. Jack fruit in particular is a popular replacement for shredded pork.
The trick with a lot of these is to marinate them. Tofu in particular so you can infuse it with flavor. Here's a few recipes we love:
Lentil and sweet potato loaf ("Neat"loaf)
Marinated tofu
Crispy tofu sandwiches
Tempeh bacon
Chili (our mom's recipe that we modified)
Soft / Squish
For things that are soft or squishy and you can slurp up.
Seaweed salad
miso soup
Pico de Gallo Black Bean Soup
"Nice" cream
Chocolate mousse
Oatmeal
Popsicles
Applesauce
Brownie batter hummus
Chia seed jam
Lavender syrup (to flavor other drinks, we use it in coffee)
Lavender lemonade (final product will be a light brown color)
Mashed potatoes + Gravy
Slow cooker apple cider
Tofu scramble
JUST egg
Non-dairy mac and cheese (our favorite brand is the upton's)
Smoothies (if you're looking for a protein powder to include, we recommend Vega)
**Just a reminder to supplement for B12 if you're consuming a vegan diet. There are some foods that are fortified with it; however, a supplement is cheap, easy to find and all-around a more reliable way to ensure you are getting enough.

mr rice can u please share your thoughts on ososan s1 and 2 vs s3 differences , like the direction they went that was less meta referencing the reboot nature of the show, and more on the mundanity and sisyphean nature of being directionless young adults (who are also virgins). Personally the bits focused more on the mundane were rlly good I think. U dont wanna see the matsus do chores? Play hide and seek? i personally enjoyed it. also, your omusubi thoughts if u have any?
i could probably write a thesis paper on this, and idk how having watched all 3 seasons back to back in the year of our lord 2024 affects my opinions, but ill try to keep it brief (1029 word stream of consciousness )
tldr: S3 lost sight of The Bit
dont get it twisted i LOVE slice of life stuff. i like characters. season 3 had some of my all-time favorite segments (pizza, the way home, mt takao). however to me what felt off about the season was moreso like… the Ratios. the Overall Season Balance, Ebb and Flow, it was all wrong. s3's skits were as a whole longer, fewer, and less funny. i did tier lists of every single segment from each season and i was shocked how fewer segments s3 had compared to s1. theyre too freaking long. and not even funny!!!
i didn't realize how.. idk stale? s3 was getting until cosplaymatsu and then i was fucking gulping for fresh air like FINALLY SOME GOOD FUCKING OUT-OF-CONTINUITY BITS!!!!!!!!!!!
the thing is to me i think the Bit should trump all. s1 finale took this very literally, trampling all over the emotional cliffhanger for the Bit, but i think s2 finale also valued the bit of "well s2 is over so all that's left to do is die" while also retaining the emotional flow of facing mortality. i think s2 had the best finale for this reason btw. but ask me aboit that separately
to me osomatsu-san's Core Bit, at least that it started out with in s1, is "-kun is about these sextuplets being identical, so it's funny that they're all different as adults". the differences between them was in and of itself a punchline!! six same face!! to me as soon as you lose sight of this you lose my interest. no -kun flashback for s3e1 was a death keel. also, fuck you inumatsu
s2 took this core bit and ran with it a little further, now a little more confident in their characterizations they used the differing personalities as new comedy material. it's probably the platonic ideal of how ososan can combine its identities of "60's anime remake" and "jyushimatsu cordyceps"
i think s3's bit is, if there is one, at best, "there is no joke. we deadass just haven't done anything of value". which i just don't think is a good bit. it's one note, it's not versatile, and it gets dangerously close to being at the audience's expense- i think you can convey the lethargy and sisyphean existence without also making the audience feel like they wasted their time (i.e. the absolute worst sin a piece of media could commit). So the bit isn't good and they're not even dedicated to it in a way that matters.
"does there have to be a bit" well yes! I think so. it's a gag anime. i guess that's the crux of my argument. if you dont have the balls to commit to character development you MUST commit to the bit. i think s3 fell flat for me bc it couldnt commit to anything
i watched osomatsu-san with a dear friend of mine who, bless their heart, still can't tell the sextuplets apart 3 seasons 2 mini serieses every bonus episode and 4 movies later. but they could still enjoy s1 and s2 because the matsus and their personalities were vehicles for the punchline- not the focus. as soon as they started writing about the matsus themselves and losing sight of the Bigger Picture (the bit) they got very lost. and im aware theyre an outliar viewer but i don't think it's unrelated.
i think mt takao is a good summary of this issue. there's no bit- we're just slice of life moments with the brothers. but then tbey feel like they need to make a joke, lest people start expecting them to actually let these boys find happiness, so they just do a "and then we all died, jk, we can't actually accomplish anything of value" punchline at the end. it's a disservice to people who are invested in the characters, and for people who aren't, it's just not funny!
omusubi thoughts: theyre cutes. i could tell watching them that they were probably quite disliked for derailing the season so i immediately became like, fans in a hater way. lol
i think their core bit is good: showa anime meets modern robots who don't Get It. but their storyline doesn't tie into their Bit, and its attempted tie-ins with the sextuplets never emotionally resonated. episode 12 was, affectionately, a huge waste of time (though the sheeh payoff made me woop and holler) considering i couldnt even get over my suspension of disbelief that the sextuplets would actually give a shit enough about them as People to bust their asses saving them (which, after their self actualization, they clearly still were treating them like machines. so it's like yeah i knew that shit was fake)
but like yeah after that they weren't their Bit anymore. they just became characters. maybe that's the summary of my issue w s3? no one is their Bit anymore. everyone's so attached to the Characters now that no one values the Bit anymore. we've gone so far into gap moe that ichimatsu isnt even scary anymore. if rental girlfriends had happened in s3 it'd be totty with the tiger cage
but anyways. omusubi are interesting to me because i said earlier how s3 doesnt want to commit to anything, but it does seem like they wanted to commit to telling full character arcs, but had trapped the sextuplets into a Popularity-Induced Personality Prison where they've become too popular to meaningfully change, so they tried to do it with new characters and side charas (nyaa single mother arc peak). so like… i enjoyed the omusubi character arc bc it was at least something solid to grasp onto in this season with writing more fleeting than sand
(but again, it still got invalidated and didn't matter in the end!)
in the end it is hard to cheer for characters if you know fucking nothing will matter in the end (very similar to my aggretsuko review i wrote in my head and didn't post anywhere), so if they're not at least funny about it i'm like What's the point.
a faustian tale, etc

Lars Lindstrom Headcanons
Description: My take on what it would be like to date Lars :)
Content warnings: Pure fluff
Word count: 707
A/N: I honestly had sm fun thinking of these, and mostly daydreaming instead of typing. Also, feedback is always appreciated. Enjoy! <333
SFW: random
- Smells like coffee and mint. So many times throughout the day, you find yourself nudging closer to Lars just to breathe him in. It seems like you can never get enough of it. The smell comforts you and makes you feel warm, at home.
- Loves his cherry chapstick (so do you).
- Favorite color is purple, but he DID NOT tell you that.
- Always snacking on butterscotch and caramel candies, so you know what that means..
- Nearly addicted to his phone when he finally gets one. He spends hours going through ringtones and picking a special one for everyone in his life. Of course, he helps you with all of your ringtones, even though it doesn’t help you remember who is calling. You as his wallpaper <3
- Is basically a human furnace. At first, you insisted on having your heated blanket in the bed, but you quickly discover that he runs on the warm (actually very hot) side. More often than not, he clings to you while he sleeps, his hair slicked back with sweat around his temples. You can never find it in your heart to peel him off or even push him away, even when you're dripping sweat yourself.
- Always wants to be close to you, if not actually touching you. His favorite physical affection is holding hands, but forehead kisses are a close second.
- Insists on having an orange for breakfast every morning and always offers you a slice. Sometimes you accept his offer; it depends on if you've brushed your teeth or not.
- Sweetheart this and sweetheart that. From the moment he first laid eyes on you, you completely warmed his heart, taking up any and every empty corner in him. Hence, his favorite pet name. Nothing will ever come close to it, but every once in a while he'll call you baby, if he finds it appropriate.
Baby:
- Always so gentle when holding Elinor (Gus and Karin's baby.) He's beyond scared at first and you have to help him, but he catches on soon enough.
- Absolutely loves to feed her and he'll do just about anything to make her giggle. His favorite thing is when she starts cooing.
- Panics and turns red in the face at any signs of fussing, usually followed by, "Gus! Guys, please help!"
- Jumps at the opportunity to babysit and is always trying to send Gus and Karin on impromptu date nights. "Hey, Gus! The pizza shop in town is running a really good deal tonight, you guys should just go out tonight. Don't worry about Elinor, 'cause we already have our own plans."
- Over the period of a few months, he begins warming up to the idea of childbirth and having kids in general. It only takes a few failed shopping trips for you to understand what exactly Lars is trying to hint at. "Wow, these little gloves are like..so small. They must be for a baby, right? Babies are so nice, aren't they?"
Christmas:
- Practically begs for a puppy for Christmas, even though "Cats are my favorite animal. They're so soft..."
- Super cold and snowy on Christmas morning so he offers his sweater when you go to open presents with Gus, Karin, and the baby.
- Cries when he finally gets to the last box and sure enough, a little golden retriever puppy sticks his head out
- Karin invites you into the kitchen to help prep dinner, but it's mostly just you watching her and cutting up a few vegetables here and there.
- Meanwhile, Gus tries to focus on building Elinor's toys but his attempts are futile. "Gus, Gus! Look at this," Lars smiles as he throws a miniature tennis ball, the energetic puppy chasing after it.
- Holds that damn puppy and carries him everywhere you go- yes, even into the grocery store.
- "Hey, Lars, that thing is gonna forget how to walk if you don't put it down."
- "Gus, if you want to hold Henry then just ask," followed by an eyeroll from Gus.
- You can't help but encourage the babying, so you buy him and Henry matching sweaters (of course).

Taming Arrogance - Chapter 6
*Warning Adult Content*
With three martinis sloshing around my empty stomach, I manage to sleep throughout the rest of the plane ride and through the landing.
By the time the two of us make our way to the luggage vestibule, my temples are throbbing.
Normally I can handle my liquor with ease but hard liquor with no water?
And no food beforehand?
And on a plane?
That's a headache just waiting to happen.
Blake walks over when he sees my suitcase coming around the corner.
He picks it off the belt and sets it to the side.
His luggage follows only a few feet behind mine and he lifts it off the belt as well.
"Our ride is here," Blake says handing me my luggage.
He leads the way without waiting for me to respond and in all honesty I'm far too hungover to protest.
The coolness of the air conditioning cuts off abruptly when I step outside the mechanical doors.
In its place a sticky warmth clings to my skin.
Despite it being so late into the night, the Floridian heat is brutal.
One of my buddies recommended we go here for spring break next year.
If this sweltering heat is any indication of how it will be during the day, I'm going to give him a resounding 'hell no' when I get home.
"Welcome to Florida," Blake says.
He takes a deep breath, inhaling the moist, heavy air.
A lone convertible is parked alongside the curb of the airport and Blake waves his hand at the driver.
The man immediately steps out of the car and comes over to greet us.
He shakes Blake's hand in a respectful manner and takes each of our bags of luggage to put in the trunk.
"Safe flight, Mr. Benson?" the driver asks congenially.
Blake opens the passenger side door for me, pushing the seat to a forward position to let me through.
I swing my backpack off my shoulders and step into the flashy vehicle.
Blake gets in a second behind me and sets his carry-on luggage to the right of him.
It forces him closer to me and suddenly this spacious convertible doesn't have enough room in the backseat.
"It was wonderful, thank you Todd," Blake responds to his driver.
"Todd, this is my assistant, Mr. Greene. Callum, this is my dear friend and one of my longtime employees, Todd."
Todd gives me a friendly wave from the rear-view mirror.
I give a curt nod in return.
There's no reason for me to be acting like a prick but I refuse to allow myself to enjoy the company or the conversation of anyone who seems to be under the 'Blake Benson' trance.
Todd turns off his flashers and flips on his left blinker to get the car away from the curb.
"Where to, boss?"
"We have a reservation at the Hilton," Blake responds.
"The one in town?"
"Yes."
Todd pulls the car onto the main highway with ease.
"Need me to stop anywhere for a late dinner or a drink, boss?"
Blake turns to me and raises a brow, as if waiting for me to weigh in my opinion.
I shrug and lean back into the leather seats.
"I wouldn't turn down a few slices of pizza," I admit.
"Pizza?" Blake repeats slowly.
"Yea, pizza. You know, that shit that has dough with sauce and cheese on top of it? Sometimes people even go crazy and add a topping or two."
Blake chuckles and shakes his head.
"Oh to have the metabolism of an eighteen year old."
"Nineteen," I correct him icily, though I don't know why the mistake bothers me so much in the first place.
"Todd, would you mind ordering up a thin crust pizza for Mr. Greene and myself? Let's do half with green peppers and mushrooms and the other half will be..." Blake looks over at me, waiting to hear my topping preference.
I slide my tongue over my teeth.
What are the odds he likes the same exact toppings as I do?
One in fifty?
One in a hundred?
I could make up a different set of toppings but at the mere mention of my favorite pizza, my stomach growls with hearty approval.
"Green peppers and mushrooms are fine for my half too."
Blake looks surprised but finishes giving Todd the order anyway.
The two of them amicably debate back and forth on where the best pizza is in town and while they do so, my attention shifts to new sights coming into view.
City lights are becoming brighter, casting shadows over the looming and tropical looking palm trees that line the sidewalks.
There are a few bars and night clubs we pass along the way.
Each one seems to have drunken men and women stumbling out of the doors in search of a cigarette reprieve.
The night life here looks fun.
I wonder if Blake will let me go out for a night to try out my new fake ID at a club or two.
I frown at my thoughts.
I wonder if Blake will let me?
What kind of sappy shit is that?
He doesn't own me.
He's just my boss, after all and I'm the one who rearranged all of my plans to be here in the first place.
"What time will we get done with work tomorrow?" I ask Blake once he and Todd settle on a pizza place.
"The latest would probably be around eight or nine," he responds.
"Why?"
"Perfect. I'm going out tomorrow night. The night life here looks fun as hell." Blake's nostrils flare at my announcement and the heat behind his gaze is one I haven't seen before.
There's a strained silence that settles throughout the car.
Even Todd shifts uncomfortably in the driver's seat.
Then I notice his eyes flicker to the rear-view mirror.
His gaze meets mine, and in a single look, I have the sinking suspicion that I'm barking up the wrong tree.
When Blake doesn't respond, I decide to push my luck even more.
"I hope you got us separate rooms," I say with a daring grin.
"If I get lucky I'll need a place to fuck."
There's no reason I should be spurring on Blake's quickly downward spiraling mood.
He's a professional guy and I'm sure hearing me talk so casually about my sex life is yet another issue that'll bring me one step closer to being fired.
Plus, Blake knows I'm straight.
I'm sure picturing me touching another woman is making him cringe with gayness.
Blake's jaw works itself into a tightened clench.
Wordlessly he reaches into his pocket, retrieving his cellphone and swiftly dialing a number.
He puts it up to his ear and stares straight ahead.
"Luke," Blake snaps in a quiet tone.
"What are the room arrangements at the Hilton?"
Silence.
"Call again please and cancel both of our rooms. Request the penthouse instead for the two of us to share."
Silence.
"Then book another hotel. Text me when it's done."
Blake hangs up the cell-phone and stuffs it back into his pocket.
Did he seriously just cock-block me?
Just because I'm on a work trip doesn't mean I'm on the clock 24/7.
There's no reason for him to prevent me from having a bit of fun just so long as during work hours I remain professional.
"What the hell?" I start to ask but Blake cuts me off.
"Todd, our room isn't quite ready yet. I'm sure there's still a pizza place open at this hour where we could dine-in. Would you find one and drop us off for a bit?"
I stare at Todd incredulously.
Surely he realizes how interfering Blake's behavior is and will have something to say about it.
Instead, however, Todd nods at the request and keys in a new location on his GPS.
"Sure thing, boss," Todd says quietly.
"Closest one is about fifteen miles away."
"Thank you, Todd."
I'm too dumfounded to say anything more.
It's evident that Todd is not on my side with this one.
Blake is always an asshole when it comes my manners and acting professionally whenever we're at the office but this is a whole new level.
He's never tried to play interference with my personal life.
What an uptight ass-hat.
Despite it being only fifteen miles away, the drive to the pizza place takes far longer than expected.
Or maybe that's just due to the awkward silence that's continually permeating throughout the car.
Either way, by the time Todd pulls up to the restaurant, I feel like an hour has passed.
"Thank you Todd," Blake says, opening the car door and climbing onto the sidewalk.
"'Course, Mr. Benson," Todd says.
"What time would you like me back here?"
"Half an hour. This won't take long."
The way Blake answers Todd's question sends a shiver down my spine.
I suddenly feel like a child who is about to be scolded.
Todd pulls away from the curb a moment later and Blake watches him disappear into darkness.
Ever so slowly Blake turns his focus to me.
"Mr. Greene," he says quietly.
"I'd appreciate it if you joined me inside for a slice of pizza. I have a few things I'd like to discuss with you..."

Super Mario Role Reversal AU
Chapter 2! I'm so excited to write this fic and I hope you enjoy it! Also, please don't be mad for what I did to Pauline, please please please please please PLEASE-
______________________________________
Chapter 2: Hooked On The Pals!
"We're the Pipe Pals, and plumbing's our game-
We're not like the others who get all the fame!
"If you're sink is in trouble, you can call us on the double!
You can count on these gals, you'll be hooked on the pals!"
Flashes of two women bounced around the screen as the rap played, showing off various aspects of their plumbing services, specifically fixing a man's flooding sink.
"It's me, Peach!" A blonde, fair-skinned woman wearing a pink shirt and denim overalls cheered on the screen.
"And me, Daisy!" Another woman cheered, this one with short brown hair, tan skin, and an orange colored outfit. Both women had a hat in their respective colors, each adorned with their first initial.
"Are you tired of paying too much for plumbing?" Peach asked, standing in front of a green screen image of cash.
"Oh my!"
"That's why the Super Pipe Pals are here!" She assured, as she and Daisy planked on stools to give the appearance of flying superheroes.
"Here to save Brooklyn!" Peach flicked a tiny toy van on a map.
"And Queens!" Daisy added, repositioning the toy when it veered a little too far to the left.
"And your wallet!"
"Thank you Super Pipe Pals! It seems like the only thing you haven't drained is my bank account!" The man from earlier said, squinting at the card offscreen.
The commercial cut back to the pair, standing in front of there van with their arms wrapped around each other.
"So forget those expensive plumbing companies where you're just a client. With the Super Pipe Pals, you're family!"
...
The two women stood in the parlor, arm in arm in awe at their commercial. It was cheaply made and super corny, but god dammit, it was theirs. And they loved it.
The ad ended and the TV, hanging amongst pictures of famous fighters of years past, cut to a news broadcast.
The two laughed, smiling widely at each other.
"You were great!" Peach complimented, knocking Daisy's hat in front of her eyes.
"I was great? Are you kidding me? You were great!" Daisy retorted, giving Peach's arm a few punches.
"I am so glad we spent our life savings on this commercial!" The pink woman said.
"Hey, that is not a commercial, girl! That is cinema."
"B-But what about the voices?" Peach asked, recalling the high-pitched tones they performed, "Is it too much?"
A bystander, who was playing a nearby arcade game, turned to them.
"Too much? It's-a perfect!" He said.
"Alright, I'm gonna trust you!" Peach giggled.
A laugh interrupted their celebration.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't Brooklyn's favorite failures: the Stupid Pipe Pals!" A woman with dark hair, sunglasses, and a hat that read "Wrecking Crew" on it laughed, taking a bite out of a pizza slice.
"Oh, fantastic. Pauline's here." Daisy grumbled.
"Hello Pauline." Peach said, rolling her eyes.
"Ha, Yeah! 'Oh my!', She laughed, mocking their voices.
She took a minute to collect herself, taking off her sunglasses to wipe a tear from her eye. Pauline turned back, her chocolate brown eyes meeting Peach's bright blue.
"Tell me, have you two gotten ONE call since you left me to start your dumb company?"
Daisy pulled out her phone, "As a matter of fact, we have."
"Wow, really?" Peach asked, surprised herself.
"Yeah! Our friend, Mona, called and said: 'OMG, You guys! That's the best commercial I ever seen!'" Daisy recounted, imitating Mona's voice, "And I said: "Well, thank you my friend, we're very proud of it!" She finished, wrapping an arm around a mortified Peach.
"So BOOM!" Daisy jeered, slamming her phone into the hard floor, freezing when she heard the screen shatter.
A tiny moment of silence passed before Pauline laughed again, wiping her mouth with a napkin before balling up the lipstick-stained paper.
"Yeah. Good luck running a business with this ditzy airhead-" She tossed the ball at Peach who caught it before it hit her face.
"What did you just call her?!" Daisy growled, balling her fists.
"Daisy, take it easy..." Peach said, pulling her back by the shoulder.
"Careful, Peach. You might need to put a leash on her."
Peach paused, turning to Pauline with a cold, hard stare.
"Excuse me?"
Pauline smirked.
"Insult my best friend again, and you're gonna regret it." Peach threatened, tossing the napkin right in their former boss's face.
Pauline sat stunned for a second, before standing up.
"Oh yeah?", She said, grabbing Peach by the straps of her overalls, "Get this through your tiny brain, Peach. You're a joke! And you always will be."
She dropped her, sending her to the floor. She fixed her red work button-up, tossed her tip on the table, and left the parlor with a laugh.
"Rancid bitch!" Daisy hurled, kneeling down to help Peach up, "I oughtta-"
"Daisy, come on. You can't start fights with everyone who looks at us the wrong way." Peach huffed.
"The Hell I can't! I'm not gonna let her talk to you that way! And frankly, you could stand up for yourself more often!" Daisy retorted.
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."
"Yeah, sure they don't hurt ya, Peachy."
Their banter was once again interrupted, this time by Daisy's phone ringing. Hse picked it up, an unknown number showing on the shattered screen. The pair shrugged, and Daisy answered.
"Hello, Super Pipe Pals! Uh-huh....A drip in your faucet- That's great! Er- uh, Great that you called us! Because we can be there and fix it right away!" Daisy stuttered and hung up, turning to Peach.
"Peach, we got one! The Super Pipe Pals are in business!" Daisy cheered. The two embraced each other, jumping, spinning and squealing just as they did as little girls.
"Wahoo!"
The two rushed out of the parlor and into their van, buckling up and revving up to go.
Until their van sputtered to a stop, refusing to start up again.
"Oh God, we're gonna be late!" Daisy lamented.
"No we're not! Come on, let's go!" Peach jumped out of the car and ran around the corner, Daisy stumbling behind.
"Peach, wait up!"
Peach jumped over a trash can, through a open car window, and past a nearby shopper, all in record time.
"Come on, Dais!"
Daisy attempted the same thing, only to knock over the trash, agitate a cat, slam into the car door and shopper, and drop her tool bag in the process. She spouted out apologies, scrambling up the tool bag and rushing to follow Peach, who'd stopped at a construction site.
Daisy caught her breath while Peach ran forward, leaping straight into the zone.
"Aw, Peach, what the Hell are you doing?!"
Peach leapt and bounced, climbing the platforms and opening up a clearer path for Daisy. Despite the disturbance they caused, Peach jumped to the pole of Castle Burger, sliding down.
"C'mon, Daisy, work those legs!"
"I'm trying! I got bad knees!"
The two made it to their client's home shortly, a large white penthouse, much different from the surrounding buildings.
Daisy whistled, "Oh, Wow. We have hit the big time!" Peach fist bumped her, laughing.
They knocked on the front door, and a woman answered.
"Oh! You must be the plumbers."
"Yep! The Super Pipe Pals, at your service, ma'am! Where's the problem?" Peach asked.
"Follow me, dear." The woman prompted, they followed her and her husband into the home. Everything was pristine and white, shining in the sunlight from the giant windows.
"The drip is right upstairs, at the end of the hall."
"Can you fix it?" Her husband asked.
"Very confident, sir."
"You'll be careful about making a mess?" The woman inquired.
"Ma'am, I assure you. We don't make messes, we fix 'em!" Daisy laughed, suddenly freezing when she saw a cat lying in a bed.
"Oh this is Michelle! She likes you!" The woman, cuddled the purring kitty.
Daisy hesitantly stepped forward, accidentally stepping on a plastic ball with a bell in it, snapping it in half.
The cat stared at her, and Daisy stepped back, being pulled into the bathroom by Peach.
Peach eyed the sink spying the aforementioned drip in the faucet. The pipes below squeaked, spitting water in Daisy's face. She handed Peach a wrench, and with one swift tightening, the drip stopped.
"And that is our first job complete!" She said, her and Daisy performing their handshake. They turned to leave, only to stop in their tracks.
Michelle sat in the doorway, holding her broken toy under her paw. Her ears flipped back, her hind leg shut the door behind her, and she slowly approached the two, hissing.
She launched herself at them, hitting the sink and knocking it loose off the wall. The feline turned to Daisy, who had a plunger pointed at it.
"Peach, do something!"
Peach sat on the shower floor, tossing a nearby shampoo bottle at the cat, it turned its attention to her lunging forward with her claws out. Peach was able to hold her back, leaping against the wall over the cat, and shutting the shower door.
She caught her breath, before hearing a creaking noise.
"Uh, Peach?" Daisy prompted, pointing at the now loose sink. Water spouted from under the tap and the pipes inside, cracking the tile on the wall.
Underneath the floor, pipes burst, lifting the tiles up, which Peach stomped back down. Daisy stomped down another one, before turning to the now shaking mirror.
A blast of water launched the mirror in Daisy's face. She pushed it back with all her might. The lid to the toilet tank erupted water as well. Being held down by Peach. This only redirected the water to the shower, knocking the shower head and handles off.
The closed shower filled with water, slowly bringing the feral cat up to the top.
"That demonic cat is gonna escape!" Daisy yelled, still holding the mirror against the wall.
"No it won't!" Peach grabbed the wrench, and turned at a pipe, allowing the filling water in the shower to drain.
Peach sighed, sitting on the toilet lid to catch her breath. It was short-lived, however, as the cat had climbed onto the ledge of the shower door, growling.
"Eheheheh....Who's a good kitty?" Peach laughed nervously, holding the wrench out while Daisy shielded herself with the mirror.
The cat jumped, and the two women hugged each other, screaming. They both jumped out of the way, and the cat missed them. The window had been knocked open, the cat flying out of it.
Despite their tussle with the feline, they couldn't just stand there! They can't let an animal die, let alone a client's pet! Peach leapt after it, catching it with the plunger. Daisy held onto her legs, yanking them back into the bathroom.
Of course, it was then that the woman and her husband came up, coming to check on the girls. They both gasped at the sight of their now destroyed bathroom, their soaked pet, and the two guilty women.
Peach giggled nervously, "Found the problem..."

Also in the spirit of random asks, what's your favorite thing about where you live? I will accept anything from a deep meaningful answer to one that tells me about your favorite pizza joint on the corner.
funny you mention pizza because my partner and i picked up some pizza from our favorite local pizza spot just last night and got a slice of pineapple and pepperoni, margherita, and mushroom pizza to share. that one is on the same block my train stops at so we get it maybe once every couple of weeks, as a treat.
mm there are many things i enjoy about where i live. specifically the building? it's rent stabilized LOL and has 1.5 bath which feels like a steal in the city
in general? i just enjoy the access to food and culture even if the subway costs 2.90/ride now smh. as a transplant, there are many things i find inconvenient about the city. but there are equally many things i understand as the reason they romanticize this place LOL
#lovesastateofmind1#replies#literally MORE than a fave but here we are HAHAHA#if anybody feels inclined to ask me random questions#i'll be happy to answer!#random sam asks

What A Nice Surprise
Read here or on AO3!
It had been a simple day. Hoseok had to go to a dentist appointment and run a few errands. Yoongi needed to finish the final edit on a track he was working on in his studio. They had been chatting over the phone nearly all day and came up with an idea. They spontaneously decided to pick up a large takeout from Namjoon’s favorite pizza place.
All the recent dinners and stuffings had been on the smaller side, mainly due to time. Hoseok had been busy at the dance studio with recital season, Yoongi had been overwhelmed with new production requests as he gained popularity, and Namjoon was going back and forth between Seoul and Islan to help with a family emergency.
Tonight was the first free night all three had in nearly three weeks and they decided it was time to spoil Namjoon. Never more than he could handle, but enough to push him in the best way. They were about to hit one year of exploring this new lifestyle so why not celebrate?
Hoseok was excited as he picked up the order - a family special. Two pizzas, garlic knots, chicken wings (because he chose to upgrade from the salad), brownies, and a two-liter of soda. Pulling into the drive away, he couldn’t put the car in park quickly enough. It took a little maneuvering to everything inside in one trip, but he managed.
Hoseok called out to see if anyone was home, getting two hellos from different sides of the house. Yoongi said something about finishing up in his studio while Namjoon was leaving the bedroom. He clearly had just showered, probably due to traveling all day. He had just got back from his parent’s house and it was a long train ride with two stops. It was clear Namjoon must’ve had a rough day because he was wearing his comfy sweatpants and oversized hoodie; clothes that he chose for maximum relaxation.
Hoseok let his boyfriend come to him, knowing he preferred space on days like that and wondered if the plan for tonight was a mistake. However, he should’ve known better than worry because eating was a comfort to him. That’s how he built his cute belly, to begin with.
Namjoon's eyes grew at seeing the food on the kitchen counter. “Wow, somebody’s eager.”
“We deserve a good night together after these past couple of weeks. Our baby deserves to be spoiled.”
Namjoon blushed and looked at Hoseok with a smile. It looked like he would say something, but then he decided to nod and say thank you. He kissed Hobi's cheek and offered to help carry the boxes to the dining room table as they heard Yoongi going down the hall. Hoseok handed him a few things and instructed him to go to the living room. Hoseok and Yoongi intended to fill him to the brim and the dining room chairs would not be comfortable by the end. If things went the right way, Namjoon wouldn’t be up and moving for the rest of the night.
It started like any other meal they shared on a stuffing night. Yoongi opened the boxes and offered Namjoon a slice. Hoseok took a slice for himself as he went to turn on a repeat episode of a drama they all enjoyed - background noise was welcome but they all knew that they would not actually watch anything. After selecting a show, Hoseok grabbed the glass he brought and filled Namjoon's to the top, giving himself and Yoongi a glass to share.
Namjoon was already finishing the crust of the first slice so Yoongi immediately handed him a garlic knot and a cup of dipping sauce. It went down so quickly that they both decided to put the box in his hands, encouraging Namjoon to have them all. They would gladly pass up having one if he was going to eat with this much enthusiasm.
Hoseok grabbed one of the chicken wings and ate it slowly, watching him go for the fourth garlic knot. Namjoon was doing so well and they made sure to tell him that. His smile gave them butterflies, seeing him happy after the struggle these past few weeks had brought. Yoongi started asking about his trip and how his family was doing, knowing that conversation made Namjoon mindless while eating. He would get wrapped up in a story and not realize that he brought food up to his mouth at a consistent rate.
By the time all three had recapped their day, Namjoon was on the second to last garlic knot so Hoseok asked if he wanted to mix it up. Sometimes he likes to eat one part of a meal until it was gone and for others, he liked to pick and choose for more variety. Namjoon said he wanted to finish them and made quick work of the last two, drenching the last one in the leftover oil and cheese at the bottom of the box. Yoongi held up the glass of soda to his lips and started to pour it down for him.
He went slowly enough for him to chug down the entire glass, but Yoongi wasn’t going to move the glass away until he finished it. The second it was drained, Hoseok refilled his glass. Yoongi smirked at hearing him try to conceal his panting breaths and hiccups from the sudden introduction of carbonation. Namjoon pressed on the top of his stomach and released the build-up of air, looking ready for the next portion.
Hoseok offered pizza or wings and Namjoon decided to keep going on the bread so pizza was up. They got one pepperoni because they planned to eat a few pieces, but the other pizza was meat lovers and the restaurant was indeed generous with the toppings. Namjoon seemed to gulp nervously at the hefty pizza, but he took the piece with a nod and started in. Yoongi decided to have another piece for himself and watched him chow down. It seemed like he was super motivated tonight and his boyfriends were certainly not upset about it. They thought it was probably because of the lack of full stuffing lately.
Halfway through the pizza, Namjoon slowed down. He sipped the soda and looked like he was fighting the urge to lay back.
“Jagi, if you need to get more comfortable, please do because you are far from done," Yoongi instructed with a teasing undertone. The typical dynamic was a more teasing approach from Yoongi while Hoseok was sweet and encouraging. They both considered themselves “soft” when it came to feeding, but it was understood that Yoongi held more control while Hoseok was there to support them both. Namjoon had a safe word and they were very careful of everyone's limits.
Namjoon nodded and wiggled back slightly on the couch, relaxing into the cushion and spreading his legs just a bit. As his posture reclined, Yoongi and Hoseok both noticed that he looked a little nervous - hesitant to fully let go.
Hoseok was quick to assume that Namjoon was uncomfortable by the pacing or they had been pushing too much after being a few weeks out of practice. “What’s going on? Are you okay? Any pain?”
“Yes, I’m fine. Just going a bit too fast," Namjoon replied, not entirely convincing as his eyes darted back and forth between his boyfriends.
“Hmm, I don’t know about that, Joonie. We’ve certainly gone faster before. Tell me the truth," Yoongi said firmly. He knew Namjoon well enough to see that something was being hidden from them and he wanted to hear what it was.
Namjoon's eyes widened and he even pouted slightly which was unlike him. “I am! I just need a moment.”
Yoongi narrowed his eyes and looked at him intrigued by the response while Hobi watched on eagerly. This was Hoseok's favorite part, the push and pull between his boyfriends, but even he would admit that Namjoon had never been this evasive before. Usually, he just started whining a little toward the end when Yoongi forced the last few bites.
“Kim Namjoon, you have one more chance to tell me or I’m taking over," Yoongi declared, leaving absolutely no room for argument. Hoseok had to admit that it was very attractive to see his boyfriend get so dominant.
Namjoon gulped again, probably deciding if he wanted to keep being coy and let Yoongi start feeding him at a quick pace or if he was going to actually share what was up. “I, uh…well…”
Yoongi moved closer to him and went to grab the next slice with his free hand, the movement was somehow slightly threatening as if he was ready to pounce.
The movement seemed to break the last bit of Namjoon's resolve. “I bought a box of choco pies and some banana milk at the train station and ate all of them on my way back home!”
Both his boyfriend's eyes widened, taking in Namjoon's confession before they both moved a hand to his stomach in curiosity. His belly was rounded out and getting tight, hiding under his big hoodie. It was hiding his little self-stuffing pretty well as dinner piled heavily on top.
“Well, well, isn’t that a nice surprise? Were you ever going to mention that or were you putting on a show to hide it from us? Was our baby embarrassed because he's lost his self-control?” Yoongi asked, the teasing back in full force as Hoseok gently massaged Namjoon's taut belly.
“Um, I was…it’s just…” Namjoon stuttered out, overwhelmed with Yoongi's words and Hoseok's warm hands.
Yoongi let Hoseok continue his motions as he touched Namjoon's cheek, caressing his softening jaw. “I bet those choco pies are sitting pretty heavy down there now, underneath all that dough and soda. Is someone already feeling stuffed?”
Namjoon simply nodded, deepening his pout from earlier as if the news of his impromptu mini-stuffing on the train was going to cause Yoongi to let up at all. Tonight was going even better than planned and Yoongi was ready to capitalize on that. He quickly moved his hands over Hoseok's, pressing down on Namjoon's belly causing him to groan at the pressure. After leaning in for a kiss, Yoongi sat back and went in for another slice of pizza.
“Open up, we need to make sure you don’t go hungry. It’s clear that our big guy has a much bigger appetite these days.”
Namjoon's cheeks flushed at the comment and he brought his hands to his belly. He opened his mouth and let himself be fed the next couple of slices of pizza while Hoseok praised him in between bites. He continued his massage of Namjoon's growing stomach as Yoongi did not pause the ongoing parade of pizza to his mouth. His chewing was getting slower, but he was a trooper, taking in all their encouragement and teasing.
With the conclusion of the pizza, Yoongi tried to get a feel for where he was comfort-wise. Namjoon was clearly getting stuffed, but he hadn’t vocalized wanting to stop yet. All three communicated well and knew he wouldn’t hesitate to tell them when he needed a break or a full stop - his safeword had been used a few times before and he knew they would respect it.
All things considered, Namjoon was running out of room and was probably feeling every bit of food in his stomach. Hoseok gently pulled his hoodie up and openly ogled his round belly. He was gorgeous, bloated beyond any experience they have had so far. Yoongi saw the angry lines from the sweatpants waistband digging in so they decided to give him some relief.
Pulling down the waistband under his stomach only reinforced his burgeoning size. It relaxed Namjoon without the compression present and his belly stretched out, getting closer to his lap. With another massage, Hoseok pulled his hoodie back down and motioned between the chicken and the brownies - giving Namjoon the decision of what he wanted or if he wanted to tap out.
They both were visibly pleased when he pointed at the brownies, leaning back further to enjoy the now relaxed feeling of his freed belly. Yoongi smiled and grabbed the first one from the pan. It went down quicker than they expected so Yoongi quickly grabbed another.
“Someone’s in the mood for sweets today. Think about all the chocolate that’s going to be in this belly," Yoongi quipped as he prodded Namjoon's side with two fingers, feeling a shot of arousal when Namjoon's taut skin fought off the touch with barely any give.
Namjoon took another large bite and dropped his head back against the couch as he chewed with a moan. “Mmm, can’t help it, love sweets.”
Hoseok cooed at the cute admission, following it with a kiss on his boyfriend's cheek. Yoongi huffed a laugh and patted Namjoon's meaty thigh. “Trust me, I know. Those sweets went straight to this squishy body, right?”
“Not squishy right now," Namjoon retorted, taking a chance on pointing out his tight stomach.
“This belly is pretty tight, but don’t forget about these pretty thighs, jagi. That’s all squish, all the time," Yoongi cut back, always ready to give it right back better than it had been given to him. His sassy mouth was the most significant source of Namjoon's arousal only after the stuffed feeling from downing all the food.
“Getting so full…” Namjoon groaned, trying now to wear down Hoseok. He knew his sweet boyfriend couldn't resist his whining complaints, often being the one who called it quits before Yoongi or Namjoon did.
As expected, Hoseok sent Yoongi a warning look that meant shut it down and get ready for aftercare. Typically, Yoongi would keep teasing Namjoon, pushing him farther for a bit longer, but he knew that his boyfriend would need to stop soon. This was already farther than they would normally be without the brownies on top. Namjoon had never pre-gamed a stuffing before so this was new territory.
“I know, love. You are doing such a good job. We are so proud of you," Hoseok praised, running a tender hand through Namjoon's hair as he leaned in for a kiss.
Namjoon smiled and whispered a quiet thank you, clearly under the assumption that their big dinner had come to a close. He should have known better than to doubt Yoongi's determination.
“One more brownie and the rest of your soda. You can do it. I know you can," Yoongi said with a reassuring smile, bringing comfort that Namjoon could most definitely reject the request if he wanted to be done.
Namjoon looked unsure for a moment as he considered, but he trusted Yoongi and Hoseok to take care of him so he agreed. “Okay, yes, then done?”
“Done after that, I promise, Joon.”
With a confident nod, Namjoon opened his mouth again and waited for Yoongi to fill it with the last brownie. Yoongi couldn't help but be endeared by the willingness to please them so he stole a kiss before bringing the brownie to Namjoon's lips. He chewed slowly, struggling to finish. That bite had him panting when he got it down. Hoseok gently pushed on his lower stomach, encouraging the food to move down and digest to allow him a little more comfort.
As he moaned again at Hoseok's intrusive pressure, Yoongi snuck the last bit of the brownie in his mouth. Namjoon worked through the final bite and asked for the soda, ready to be done. Yoongi brought the glass to his mouth and poured it down similarly to the first. Slow yet steady, forcing him to get the whole glass down in one go. A hiccup came right away as he finished and leaned back. The moans became groans as Namjoon tried to get comfortable. Hoseok quickly pulled up his hoodie and kissed his belly.
“You are amazing. This is the most you have ever eaten, so impressive, baby. Look at this belly. I wonder how much of this will stick, how many pounds will pack on from tonight," Hoseok rambled, praise falling easily from their boyfriend's impressive performance.
“Ooooh, it’s so full. I can’t move," Namjoon mumbled in between Hoseok's pushes and prods on his bloated stomach.
Yoongi looked over his incredible form on the couch. Namjoon was fully reclined against the cushions now, legs spread to accommodate the space he needed for his belly. The belly that was now completely tight, rounded out in front of him as if it defied gravity. Yoongi decided to join Hoseok's gentle massage, rubbing his sides while Hoseok worked on his stomach trying to help the air release. A few more hiccups and a couple of panting breaths had his stomach expanding slightly as the food settled, finally reaching its maximum stretch.
“Can you believe how much is in here? A box of choco pies and milk, a whole order of garlic knots, a bunch of pizza with all those toppings, three big brownies, and all that soda. You are becoming a bottomless pit, Jagiya," Yoongi said, his tone growing deeper as he ran his hand across Namjoon's stomach.
“Feels so good," Namjoon moaned out, grateful that Hoseok had not once paused his motions along with Yoongi's caressing admiration.
Yoongi placed a lingering kiss on his lips, dropping one on Hoseok's mouth as well. “I know and it looks even better. You look amazing right now, want to keep you like this all the time.”
“Yes, please, I want it. Want to keep growing, need it," Namjoon mumbled, getting a little lost in all the sensations.
“Shh, I know, we'll take care of you, love. We are so proud of you, eating everything you were given as always. Our good Joonie,” Hoseok praised, littering Namjoon's skin with kisses in between his whispers.
Namjoon moaned again and let them continue their massage and gentle words of encouragement for the rest of the night, grateful for his wonderful boyfriends who took care of him so well.
