Sim Request 2 | Friends, Families and Neighbors Needed!

This is a call for vanilla-ish sims based on any of the provided prompts. I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to use all the submissions, sorry! And I may feel the need to alter the sim to fit my gameplay style, but if you’re comfortable with these caveats, please submit!
I adored the sims I received previously, so here's ROUND 2!
Rolling Deadline
Prompts and more info below the cut
General Notes:
I adore when you can tell which world a sim is from based on aspects of their style/dress.
I welcome background notes/details or any other information you want to share about the sim(s) you make.
I am open to sims that come with pets and/or family members.
Please no sims that have been used with Crystal Creations gameplay or have cheated college degrees. If you want the sim to have a degree let me know and I'll add it. These make my game very, very cranky.
I have all the packs.
And lastly, please only one submission per person. Tag me and use the #friendsofBB
Prompts:
A sim that refuses to go to the beach without a metal detector. Sometimes brushes his teeth, you know when they really need it. And is pretty sure they've seen at least 1 mermaid, well almost certainly, probably. I envision him with a dog. Sim should definitely have skin damage. Other Details: up to you.
DONE -A family where at least one sim runs and owns a veterinarian clinic in Brindleton Bay and they have at least 1 child aged sim who is male. Other Details: up to you. My preference is for this family to Black.
DONE -A tourist who never left Brindleton Bay. Suggested by the one and only @irrewilderer Age: Adult -Elder. Other Details: up to you.
DONE -Members of a local sailing Yacht club. Would love for these sims to be diverse. Preferably Sims of color. Ages: Adult - Elder. Other Details: up to you.
DONE -“A retired local teacher turned mystery novelist who solves crimes everywhere she travels 😌 … oh wait that’s Murder She Wrote." Suggested by none other than @whyeverr Age: Elder. Other Details: up to you.
DONE -Education staff - Would love a principal and a few elementary teachers who live and work in Brindleton Bay. Other Details: up to you.
DONE - A retired badass fisherperson who is female. Age: Elder. Other Details: up to you. I envision her with a cat.
Local singles who live in Brindleton Bay. Suggestions: a baker, a vet clinic staff, a local tackle shop owner, a doctor who works at the small clinic, or the owner of the local thrift shop, antiques store owner, animal rescue staff, etc. Age: preferably adult - elder and sims of color. Other Details: up to you.
BONUS - Vlad could still use a fellow archaeology enthusiast who can tolerate, or is a vampire. Also, worth noting Vlad is proper, cheerful (shocking I know it was earned through gameplay), a reader and loner who cherishes his daily session at the pipe organ. This one is left over from #gregneedsfriends, please use that tag. Preferably age is Adult -Elder.
My Defaults & CC: this is what I have in my game and you're welcome to use or include.
teeth - WightSpider's set (Unfortunately, she only uses CF)

Morgan: Ever done this before?
Nancy: Can’t say that I have.
Morgan: Are you as put off about this as that other bible thumper?
Nancy: [rolls eyes] We’re not all the same. I’m more than my faith.
Morgan: I don’t doubt that. I’m sure there’s many layers to you. Where are you from?
Nancy: Brindleton Bay.
Morgan: Really, I’m from Portridge, a small town south of the Bay. Originally.
Nancy: Yeah? So, how did you end up a Fyres?
Morgan: Great question. My mom was his secretary. Super scandalous shit, which would explain while the Royal Barbie hates my guts. He’s not a bad step dad though. Hell of lot better than my actual dad. So, your parents-
Nancy: Isn’t the probing developing a bias or something?
Morgan: Just a little small talk. So, is there a question you want answered? Perhaps, a question about your past, your present or your future?
Nancy: I-
Nancy Narrates: [I want to get forget my past. I want to survive my present. I want to escape my future. Could there really be an answer for all that in those cards]
Nancy: I don’t know...
Morgan: That’s ok. You intention will guide us.
Morgan: Pick three cards that call to you. Based on the three, we will see what the cards have to say about your past, present and future.
Nancy: And you believe in this?
Morgan: We believe what we believe in, right? You have your three?
Nancy: I think so..
Morgan: Let’s take a look.
Morgan: Your past—the Upright Fool. Innocence. Curorsity. Something new and exciting—perhaps a first love in your youth that swept you off your feet?
Nancy Narrates: [Already I hated this...]
Morgan: Your present- the Reversed Star. Insecurity. Self doubt. A loss of faith. Interesting. Perhaps a struggle with one’s own faith? Are you having any doubts, Nancy? About yourself? About your God?
Morgan: Your future- the Upright Devil. Lust. Obsession. Temptation. Could be for the material things of life, or maybe a desire of the flesh.
Nancy: [clears throat] That all seems incredibly vague.
Morgan: [grins] Does it? Your poker face could use some work. Let me ask you something. Who exactly did I remind you of? Someone from your past?
Morgan: Your silence is very telling. I have a real gift for reading people.
Nancy: I’m sure you believe you do.
Morgan: [laughs] I really do!
Morgan: Tightly wound, fidgeter. You bite the hell out of your nails, right at the skin on the tips of your fingers, unconsciously. You pick at it until it bleeds. It’s the only thing that’s keeping you tethered to your own body. The pain, that is.
Morgan: Right?
Geoffrey: You made it! And making friends! Sorry, am I interrupting girl talk?
Morgan: It’s cool, boy wonder. Want me to do your reading?
Geoffrey: Are you kidding? Of course I do!
Nancy: Actually, I think I want to g-
Geoffrey: Really quick, Nance, then I’ll walk you to your dorm!
Geoffrey: Upright Death for my future sounds kind of scary when you think about it, huh? She said it could mean profound change. Sounds promising.
Nancy: [tsks] That could mean literally anything. That whole practice strives on vagueness. You can never be wrong if you’re bound to be right.
Geoffrey: Yeah, but it’s about how you perceive it, right? It’s unique. She did yours, didn’t she? What did yours say?
Nancy: Yeah, I um, don’t remember.
Geoffrey: Maybe you can ask her again. You two seem to hit it off.
Nancy: [huffs] Please. I am not going back to that shabby bar. She’s a sham. Those cards mean nothing. It’s stupid.
Geoffrey: [sighs]
Nancy: What?
Geoffrey: [blows raspberries]
Nancy Narrates: [Truth was, I was more curious than anything]
Nancy: So. Those cards. Could they...I don’t know- tell me something that could happen in a week? Like if I asked if I’ll pass my Statistics exam?
Nancy Narrates: [I was completely captivated by this otherworldly experience, whether I’d admit it outloud or not]
Nancy Narrates: [and Morgan was always happy to indulge me]
Nancy: [whispers] So I past my exam. How does this even work? I mean, how could they know? The cards. Could you do another reading after the debate?
Nancy Narrates: [But of all the questions I did ask, there was one that burned inside me more]
[heavy metal spills into the hallway]
Morgan: [startled] Nancy?
Nancy: Is this a bad time? I know it’s late...I can come back another time. I just have so much on my mind and I can’t sleep.
Morgan: You want another reading?
Nancy: Is that ok?
Morgan: Of course it is, Nancy. Come in.
Morgan: Sorry for all the smoke. I can open a window.
Knox: Babe, who’s this? It’s not my birthday.
Morgan: [smirks] Want me to get rid of him? I can.
Knox: Hey! I’ll be quiet! Won’t even know I’m here.
Nancy: I don’t mind. I just had a question.
Nancy: Could you do a reading for someone else, even if they’re not here?
Morgan: [hums] Not really...not without their permission or their intention. Who is this person to you?
Nancy: [looks away] Someone from my past. Someone I need to forget but- I can’t.
Morgan: Did this person hurt you?
Nancy: [shakes head] If anything, I hurt them. I ruined them with my... [lowly] um, perversions. I just need to know if they’re ok. If they hate me for it.
Morgan: [softly] I see... Here’s what we’ll do. Just like before, I’ll do a three card spread.
Morgan: Set your intention. Clear your mind. Ask your question. The first card is ‘you’. The middle card is ‘them’. The third card is the relationship.
Nancy Narrates: [‘Vanessa, do you hate me?’ ‘Do you blame me?’ ‘Do you regret loving me?’ ‘Do you know that I never stopped loving you?’]
Nancy Narrates: [‘Do you know that I’m sorry?’ ‘Do you know that I miss you?’ ‘Do you know that I need you?’]
Morgan: [exhales] It says... that you are a filled with love, Nancy, even though the world around you wants to drain you of it. There’s just too much of it inside of you and your friend-
Nancy: [weakly] Vanessa.
Morgan: [smiles] Vanessa. She loves you all the same. She may be experiencing her own hurt in this world, but having loved you keeps her strong. You two brought something bright and beautiful into each other’s lives.
Morgan: You can’t rid her from your life, because she’s apart of you, and...I- I think that’s a love worth fighting for, Nancy.
Nancy: [between gulps] Right. Right, thank you. Thanks, Morgan.
Morgan: Wait, Nancy, you don’t have to leave. It’s ok-
Nancy: It’s fine. I uh- I should go.
[door clicks shut]
Knox: Uhh, did you just make all that up?
Morgan: [weakly] I don’t know why I did that..

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 103 (Lavender is Adorable & Malcolm Follows a Lead)
Finally back home after the end of Winterfest break, Conrad caught Heather looking at her ring with a grin while she cleaned up the kitchen. "Did you think you want to set a date yet?" he asked.
She grinned, practically giddy against his charming smile. "Still no."
He laughed, heading into the living room to play with Lavender, where she sucked her slippered toe and chewed her toys. She'd sat up on her own on Boxing Day morning, but she was still more comfortable getting a bird's eye view of the world. Conrad and Heather didn't want to push her; she'd pull herself up with regularity when she had places she wanted to get to.
Heather got dressed and returned from the bedroom to find Conrad chatting with Lavender on the sofa. "It's so much fun to crawl around, sweet girl. You're gonna want to try it soon. I know it."
Heather smiled. "I thought instead of breastfeeding, I could help Lavender explore foods this morning."
Conrad set her up in the high chair as Heather opened a jar of crushed carrots. But Lavender was totally uninterested, batting away the spoon and sticking out her tongue, ejecting the orange mush from her mouth with a grimace.
Heather sighed. "I think we have a picky eater on our hands."
As it turned out, Lavender hated the texture, and sometimes the taste, of most baby foods, so Heather kept breastfeeding. "When she's ready for finger foods, maybe she'll be less picky," suggested Conrad with a hopeful smile.
Lavender's three infant quirks: Loves Wake Up Time, Picky Eater, and the lesser-noted Frequently Hiccups (because it's been mostly inconsequential since Lavender's such a happy baby).
Soon enough, Lavender was upright all the time, and Heather and Conrad chalked it up to her wanting to be tall enough to hang with Gord. The beloved Bernese loved Lavender, often moving in for pets from Lavender's tiny palms. He offered nose rubs in return while the infant giggled wildly.
Conrad, meanwhile, had chased too many leads for Rafa to precisely nowhere, and Ximena had stayed undetected throughout the holidays. As far as Rafa was concerned, he was beginning to fear he was looking for another dead body, but he couldn't let himself rest until he knew for sure.
Trying to relax in the living room with his family, he took a call from Zion Spangler. "George and his wife extended their time in Sulani," reported the young detective. "He won't be coming home for questioning any time soon." Conrad hung up and rubbed his temples in frustration.
Heather frowned in their crowded living room. Ash was practicing a speech for class in the mirror and Lavender was playing with Gord, so she couldn't talk to Conrad about the case. He hadn't shared much, but the police detail lingered outside their home and the clinic, so she knew Ximena was still at large.
She wanted him to be able to find Rafa. She knew how much it meant to him, and how it tore at him not to be any closer to learning what happened. They were both ready to put all of this past them.
In San Myshuno, Malcolm had done some digging into the murder at the docks from his penthouse. Law enforcement wouldn't speak to him about the confidential file, but he'd managed to uncover George Brindleton's shady investment in the company's crooked books, and tracked down the man himself at his tropical villa in Sulani.
"Thank you for talking to me today, Mr. Brindleton. I gather with your secrecy, you don't talk to many reporters."
"This is off the record," grunted George. "I want to get to know you before I tell you anything about my work. You are a Landgraab, after all."
He frowned. "Malcolm's fine."
"I told the detectives I don't know a single damn thing about a murder at the docks. I'm a good businessman and I know where to trim the fat from my investments. Demand. Supply. It's not my fault that for the first time in decades, someone died of anything other than old age or rabies in Brindleton Bay."
"Do they think it was someone from your company?"
"No, they've asked what we know about some cartel called Los Tigres. Hey! Hey Rafael, bring me another soda with extra lime!" He turned his attention back to Malcolm over their video connection with a sneer. "The wait staff at this villa is horrible, but the booze is strong and the sun is hot!"
Malcolm curled his lip at flagrant George Brindleton, taking note of the name of the cartel. "I'm sure the wait staff would be better at a more expensive villa, Mr. Brindleton."
George sneered. "You're a punk reporter, I see. Think you're better than me just because you've got that Landgraab elitism running through your veins?"
Malcolm shrugged. He'd always been a snob, and most people were right when they called him an ass, but he'd found reasons to smile after becoming a father and marrying his wife. He didn't want to spend his night arguing with an angry old man. "It's been a pleasure, Mr. Brindleton. I think I have everything I needed from you, but if you have more to say, by all means, call the news station anytime."
"What does some big city national reporter want with a story about a body in Brindleton Bay, anyway?"
"The story is important, but my son lives in Brindleton Bay. On a personal level, I care that he's safe, and if your company isn't doing their job, I think my mother would love to know there's an open business opportunity at the docks. Demand and supply, and all that."
"You have a son in Brindleton Bay?"
"I do. The local vet is his mother."
George froze as the waiter named Rafael approached with his drink.
"Your son is Heather Nesbitt's son?" He stammered. "Listen, there's no need to start a competing security company in Brindleton Bay...as a matter of fact, I'm gonna tell my guy to go back to the old schedule, effective immediately, so don't even bother."
George ended the video call with a click. The names of Heather's kids had been redacted in the restraining order, but the order had covered the school and the daycare, as well as the house. It's not like he really needed to be able to single them out from any of the other squealing brats in his town - despite his threats outside the courthouse, he preferred to stay away from all of them.
George was more focused on the bigger picture than scaring kids - asserting his importance to the safety of Brindleton Bay served him far better. He'd expected a rise in hooliganism, not a murder, when he pulled his guys from the docks, but the sequence of events had played right into his hands while he sipped cocktails in the sunshine.
He had no reverence for most of the Brindleton Bay Police Force. They'd been in his pocket for decades and they needed him now more than ever. But the Landgraabs were a bigger fish than any he pulled from the Simlandia Sea in his fishing days.
He smiled, taking the drink from Rafael. "Thank you, amigo. Here's a tip to keep 'em coming."
June stood and pleaded with her husband. "Don't drink all morning, George!"
"Don't tell me what to do, June."
Rafa smiled. "Yes, sir. I'll bring round number two before you fall asleep in the lounge chair again for your afternoon nap."
With the Sulani sun beating down on his forehead, George Brindleton considered what he'd learned from Malcolm Landgraab. ->

NOTE: Some may recall my side project to flip Malcolm's evil trait to good. That hasn't happened yet but he has added cheerful as a bonus trait - Snob, Evil, Music Lover, and Cheerful is who Malcolm is right now. Good-hearted Miko helping change him is maybe sorta slowly working! He did finish with George and did the evil cackle animation because George was mad and he reveled in it, however...
WCIF Serving Poses: @tenyrasims' Serving With a Smile Posepack and @someone-elsa's cocktails tray accessory (also available at the link). Seriously fantastic, thank you so much for creating and sharing this! it's exactly what I was looking for when I needed to shoot this scene.

Meet Naomi Idowu
Originally from Willow Creek, Naomi is a 25 year old fashion designer who currently resides in San Myshuno. The city has been everything she hoped for, and nothing like she expected. From her best friend (well not anymore) sleeping with her ex, to Naomi having an entanglement with her boss, her life has been nothing but drama.
And when she heard the news of her coworkers having a child with the boss, it was time for to take a step back from the city.
Just in time, her cousin Sienna calls with an unexpected favor: Naomi asked to design her wedding dress after her original designer unexpectedly dropped out of the project. With the company taking a summer hiatus, maybe a quiet summer away in Brindleton Bay is what she needs…

Alex: [Smiles warmly] Hi Coraleye…
Coraleye: [Smiles back] Hi Alex…
Alex: Ready for one last take before we officially call it a wrap?
Coraleye: I guess so! Alex: So how’s life treating you now? You adjusting okay?
Coraleye: Oh… well it's been a whirlwind, to say the least, heh. But I’m finding my footing again. Finally finishing up school. Just barely keeping my head above water some days, but yeah, I’m getting by. Trying to find my new normal.
Alex: [Nods thoughtfully] I want to talk about that a little bit. You’ve had to deal with the aftermath of everything that happened on election night. Do you remember when Cam and I came out to visit you in Brindleton Bay?
Coraleye: Mhm. I sure do. You interviewed some girls I went to school with.
Alex: So, Mackenzie, Briella, Logan… I’m not sure how much you’re aware of, especially with how quickly the media coverage was shut down after election night. But I’ve gotta ask—have you reached out to Coraleye at all since then? Offered any kind of support?
Logan: [Quickly glances at Mackenzie] I’m not sure if we got the chance to reach out yet, have we? Mackenzie:[Feigning innocence] She hasn't filled us in completely, but we’ve heard bits and pieces... Briella: We heard about her and her boyfriend. They broke up, right? [Big grin] Life has a cruel way of teaching us lessons!
Mackenzie presses her lips together, appearing to hold back a laugh, but finally cracks as a sharp cackle spills out.
Mackenzie: Oh my mod, Briella, stop! You can't say that! I just love you. So sorry about her, she's so crazy. Anyways, yeah. We wish her the best. I hope it all works out for her, I really do.
Cam: Well, I think that will probably do it for now, thank you ladies. Alex: Cam's right, thank you for your time. We'll be in touch. Have a happy Harvestfest.
Several weeks later, Britechester-
Alex: Cam and I try not to get too involved with work matters, but I'll be honest, that interview was upsetting. I wonder if they'd still be snickering if they saw what you've been through in these past few months.
Coraleye: Nah, they're the least of my worries. Pretty sure I got the last laugh when it comes to them. [Mischievous grin]
Alex: I'm in awe of your optimism, Coraleye. After all this, you’re really not bitter? I mean, look at Tycho—he lied, tried to erase your memories. And you still take the high road?
Coraleye: Oh no, please don’t get me wrong, Alex! I definitely went through—and sometimes still go through—my naughty phase, from time to time. Alex: [Leans in] You have my attention... Coraleye: Maybe it was for revenge, or a way to cope, or maybe deep down I was just really lonely and had a void to fill. Either way, it got me through some dark times. Perhaps you should book a follow-up interview with Briella, ask her if she found my panties in her boyfriend's room yet. [Waves at camera, winks, and mouths, ‘Hey, Pierce!’] Alex shakes his head amusedly and softly chuckles.
Alex: Damn! You really don't mess around. I'm guessing this doubles as punishment for Tycho as well?
Coraleye: Nope. Actually, his punishment is even better. I'm giving him exactly what he wants. After this documentary is over with, I'm erasing all of our shared memories together. He wanted to mess with my mind so badly, I'll do it for him. Alex: And how do you do that?
Coraleye: Through a spell, of course. You didn't forget that I'm a spellcaster, did you? I'll put the memories in an amulet and give it to our sage of untamed magic. They'll perform a ritual to destroy the memories. Alex: Wow. Remind me to never break your heart... Coraleye: [Smiles] Oh, I will. Alex: [Sighs] Well... Last question we're asking everyone else: Is there any question that you have, after all of this, that still haunts you?
Coraleye: [Tilts head, as she pauses to think] Hmm… I’ve still got to write that paper on my ten-year plan, and somehow I feel even more lost than before. I guess it’s time to start figuring that out now.

The Joy of Life - The kids visit their dad at Judith Ward's mansion
At the start of summer, Finn, Peony and Briar spent the weekend with their dad in Del Sol Valley. The weeks before, they had spent the weekends at Jasper's property in Brindleton Bay because Rosemary didn’t want the kids to travel to Del Sol Valley - to Judith Wards' mansion. However, Briar really wanted to get to know Judith, so after weeks of trying to persuade her, Rosemary caved. The visit, however, did NOT go as the kids had thought it would. They had fun swimming in the pool outside, yes, and the Mansion was huge and beautiful. But, Judith Ward was not welcoming at all and didn't even react to Briar's attempts to start a conversation! And the worst part of it all was that Briar saw her Dad and the Butler engaging in some adult activities. She was shocked and fled the room before her father could even recognize her. She also didn't tell Peony and Finn about their father's, apparently, wild romantic life. But, to say the least, she was disappointed and a bit disgusted. What if it hadn’t been her but little Peony walking in on them? She tried to act like normal but she felt uncomfortable. So, she called her mother later that evening and asked her to talk to Jasper. She didn't want to openly tell her father that she had seen him with that sim and that she didn’t want to spend the weekend at Judith's place anymore. Upon hearing the news, Rosemary didn't hesitate to hop on the next available plane to travel to Del Sol Valley to pick up her kids herself.

Note:
This marks the end of this rotation because I can’t with these sims! I‘ve had enough 🤣 Do I love the drama and crazy behavior my game produces? Secretly, yes. But as a cozy player at heart, this was a lot to take in and handle. I hope we can leave this craziness behind next season and focus on cute teenage love and lots of yummy cupcake parties. 🎉 Hope you had fun following along with Rosemary Hinkle‘s Joys of Life 😁

Gemma knocked on Lydia's door before opening it.
Gemma: Lydia?
Lydia: Come on in, luv. I'm in the lounge.
Gemma: I bought freshly made biscuits.
Lydia: Thank you, pet. I hate to be a bother, but could you brew a pot of tea to go with? The kitchen is just through that door.
Gemma found everything she needed in the kitchen. She made the pot of tea and placed the biscuits on the tray. After carefully setting the tray down, Gemma poured a cup and turned to face Lydia. A photo on the bookshelf caught Gemma's eye.
Gemma forgot how to breathe.
Lydia: Gemma? You've gone all white, pet. Are you okay?
Gemma: I-I'm okay. Who is that man in the graduation photo?
Lydia: That's my son Edward, luv. The other photo is Edward with my darling Delaine and me.
Gemma could not stop her hands from trembling.
Lydia: Sit down by me, Gemma. I should call a doctor. Something is wrong.
Gemma frantically tried to come up with an excuse for her odd behavior.
Gemma: I-I skipped breakfast. I'll be okay.
Lydia: You can't skip meals, luv, especially when expecting. You need a cup of tea with extra sugar and some biscuits.
Gemma: Yes, I will have some. Please tell me about your son. Does he live in Britechester? Your great-grandson lives there.
Lydia: Not now, pet. He went to uni in Britechester and met his wife, Viviana. They married right after graduation. Two years later, they had their first child. Vivi had a rough pregnancy and suffered from postpartum depression. So they moved in with her parents. But Edward struggled to find a job in her little village. He finally found the job of his dreams, but it was in Strangerville.
Strangerville. Gemma swallowed hard. This couldn't be real. Her father was Lydia's son? No.
Gemma: (faintly) How long ago was that? When they lived in Strangerville?
Lydia: (worried) You do not look well, pet.
Gemma: I'll eat another biscuit. I'm feeling better. Listening to you is helping.
Lydia: If it helps, I'll natter on. My granddaughters were only one and four then. That would be almost thirty years ago. Vivi - I dearly love her - balked at moving halfway around the world to a barren desert of all places. They are both stubborn and dug their heels in. Edward went to Strangerville alone. They were separated, and Vivi threatened divorce. But Vivi's Nonna is a force to be reckoned with. Edward returned to visit the children, and Nonna sat Edward and Vivi down for a talk. I don't know what she said, but it worked. They compromised and moved to San Sequoia. Together.
Gemma sat speechless. The timeline fits with her memories. But obviously, Lydia knew nothing about Gemma being Edward's daughter. Did he not tell anyone? Or was Gemma just reaching, seeing things that weren't there. This was surreal. Gemma felt untethered as if she might fly away.
Gemma: Edward has blonde hair. He gets that from you, I guess.
Lydia: Actually, neither of us contributed to his genetics. He is adopted, you see. Del was sterile from an extremely high fever in his teens. Del and I adopted Edward when we lived in Brindleton Bay. He was born in Cavalier Cove. The only thing we know about his biological mother was that she was seventeen years old, and her name was Edith.
Gemma's vision grew dark, and Lydia's voice faded away.

Later that night at the Hecking-Feldman-Chen-Liao household, Megan takes Emily with her to visit her older sis Mia in Brindleton Bay. She and her wife Tess are giving each other space as they figure things out in their relationship, so she didn't come with them. While Megan hugs her oldest nephew Morgan, Emily hugs Megan’s sister, her auntie Mia. "You've gotten so tall, Emmy." Mia says, hugging Emily tightly. Emily grins, hugging her auntie back. "I know." She says.
Emily sighs as her auntie smooths back her hair and gives her a concerned look. "Everything okay?" Mia asks quietly. "Yeah, it's just my moms." Emily murmurs and Mia nods, glancing at her sister. Megan is talking to Morgan and looking cheerful but her eyes look so tired and her smile doesn't fully reach her eyes. "I'll talk to her," Mia says to Emily, who gives her a grateful and relieved smile and another hug.
Megan and Emily head inside, and Megan goes to see her niece Kristina, or Tina as the family calls her, and her youngest nephew Owen. Megan blinks back tears as Owen snuggles into her, remembering her own three babies at that small stage. She gets a lump in her throat as she thinks of Tess, how amazing of a wife she is, and how happy they were when they got married. Now, they're arguing all the time, and she and Tess are both so exhausted and tired. Megan knows it's her fault, she fell for her ex Iseul and let it get to the point where she was emotionally cheating* with Iseul. She snaps back as Owen asks her to play with him, and she smiles. "Sure, nooboo." She says.

My 𝐓𝐨𝐩 24 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐬 from 2024🎉
Thank you @theplottdump and @duusheen for the tag!! 💗🥰
Tagging: @someone-elsa, @aurorangen, @thebramblewood, @tulipsimss, @cowplant-snacks, @rebouks, @bakersimmer, @flocy-sims, @cowplant-pizza, and of course whoever else would like to do this! (I've lost track of who has and hasn't already done this, so feel free to ignore if you have! <3)
Januari
I remember one of the first things I did when Supriya aged up into a teen was to have her take selfies. Because not only is that someting a pride generation heir would do, but at the time I also thought she was one of the prettiest teens in my game ever.
Februari
I decided to fully furnish and decorate an apartment for Supriya to live in and I think this is when I realized that I'm 100% a maximalist when it comes to interior design.
March
Ah, the night of the gala where Supriya and Rohan finally let their walls down 😊. I based the the outfits and the location of the gala (before they got back to Supriya's apartment) on the gala scene from the movie Maid in Manhattan which was a movie I really liked as a kid and for some reason that gala scene imprinted itself in my brain.
April
I love a good sunset. But what I love more is Rohan and Supriya getting engaged in front of a good sunset. The couple moved to Brindleton Bay where they fell even more in love with each other, and I fell in love with the Brindleton Bay heatwaves (when it doesn't rain that is). Rohan and Supriya eventually got married and it was my first cultural in-game wedding and, you guessed it, I loved it.
May
A pregnancy photoshoot with Supriya and Rohan in that little park with the blossom trees in Lykke Centre, Windenburg. The other screenshot is a screenshot with Cedia as a siren that I never posted in the Halloween post of last year, so I decided to make another post this year with the screenshots I also loved and that didn't make the cut back then.
June
I was still experimenting with my decorating skills and I had a lot of fun decorating the kids' playroom and Gulshan's bedroom when they were little.
July
I did an "end-of-generation" photoshoot with Supriya and also made one of my oc's, Fawzia, for Thebramblewood's vampire casting call who until then had only existed in my head. And for my legacy I wanted to try something different with the lighting in the screenshots where Gulshan and his friends are partying and I really liked how it turned out.
August
Sad boi.
September
Gulshan got his restaurant and I love everything about it. I started building this restaurant when I started the 7 sins legacy and I was so excited when I could finally play in it.
October
I took this screenshot after Gulshan earned 4 stars for his restaurant. I posed everyone except for Lord Hamlet. He just walked past and it turned out perfect for this screenshot. Did I mention Lord Hamlet already? BECAUSE LOOK AT HIM! At first I wasn't sure how a pig who is actually a dog would work out in game, but he is my favorite in-game pet ever and I love him so much. The last screenshot I made to showcase the Poppy cas set by Surely-sims and Ice-creamforbreakfast and all the screenshots for this are some of my favorite lookbook screenshots ever.
November
Sad man.
December
Nothing beats baking cookies with the love of your life on a snowy winter morning.

It was raining again -- an unsurprising forecast for Brindleton Bay. Rain pattered on the well-worn dock and clapboard walls of the coffee shop, the perfect soundtrack to getting lost in her tear-jerker of a book. But then, a voice. Deep, loud, punctuated by a surprisingly higher-pitched laughter, shattering her tranquility. They were on a video call, oblivious to Dara's sighs of frustration -- a silent plea for him to respect the shared space. This wasn't background music; it was some bro talking to some other bro about the game last night. She closed her book and got up, leaving the cozy café and the inconsiderate customer, who she would never know ended the call the moment she left.

The Solar System Legacy Challenge: Lieutenant Gen 1 pt.94

Brindleton's finest returned to the precinct after their visit to the hospital. While they were gone, officer Till and the desk clerk managed to get Paris booked, which proved to be time-consuming. During the process, they came across her extensive wrap sheet. Her Brindelton record was mostly misdemeanors for disorderly conduct and DUIs, but her San Myshuno record was at least 3 pages long and held some pretty violent crimes and that didn't include the portions that seemed to have been redacted or needed special clearance to access.
Of course, she behaved as expected. Officer Till ended up needing to take her mugshot more than once, having to remind her repeatedly that it wasn't a photoshoot. After a few too many "test shots" she finally cooperated. Annoyed, he hastily ushered her over to the fingerprint scanner.
Officer Till: Hold still. I don’t feel like doing this twice.
As Till finished up, Adler ran into Lieutenant Gordon as he wandered into the lobby.
Ofc Adler: Good evening Lieutenant, busy week huh. Were you…on your way out?
Conrad sighed, the crease in his brow said it all. Brindleton PD had been busier than usual. Crime in the bay was usually non-existence, but lately, trouble had been brewing all over. There was a continued issue with dock security and then a body had turned up. There were hushed whispers amongst the higher shields that the Cartel could be involved, but Alder didn’t go snooping where he wasn’t welcomed.
He also didn't want to add to Conrad's already full plate, but he’d told Kason he would get help. The chief was in, so who better than Brindleton PD's rising star.
Ofc Adler: If not, do you have a couple minutes to spare? I know you're busy, but something happened when we went to the hospital.
Conrad mentally groaned. He already had some much to do, but he held a slight personal interest considering his stepson attended the same school as the Gratz kids.
Lieu. Gordon: Sure, I was going to hit the bags upstairs. We can talk there.
After he briefed Lieutenant Gordon on the matter, Adler excused himself beelining for the holding cells, leaving Conrad alone to pummel the punching bags in the weight room. It was evident that the Lieutenant was taking out his frustrations on the bag and Adler wanted to give him the privacy he was desperately craving. When he reached the area housing the cells he slowed his pace, checking each one for the wily Redhead. He stopped at the last cell lining the row, inside Paris sat on the sole cot in a bare cell, but an officer was unlocking the door.
Alder: What the hell are you doing? What's going on? Why are you moving her?
Officer: Detective Hana told me to take her to interrogation 2. Take it up with him.
Adler: Since when has Detective Hana called the shots here? Does the Chief know? I will.
Paris entered the scarcely furnished room. Detective Hana stood from his seat and gestured to the only other seat in the room.
Det. Hana: Ms. Amyot, please have a seat.
Paris looked around the room in boredom.
Paris: Do you have my cigarettes?
Det. Hana: You can’t smo-
Paris: My cigarettes.
He sighed while reaching to remove an unopened box from his pocket and relinquished it to Paris along with a book of matches.
Paris: Good boy.
Detective Hana bit back a response to her taunting comment. He folded his arms and donned a stonic expression hoping to appear unfazed.
Det. Hana: Now, Ms. Amyot I’d like-
Paris: Cut the detective act Kane. What do you want?
Det. Hana: I want to know what happened.
Paris: I thought that was squared away. Didn’t you talk to him?
Hana fidgeted before briefly glancing at the mirror on the wall to his right.
Det. Hana: I don't know what you mean.
Paris: YOU were supposed to SPEAK to Kason, Kane. I swear to the watcher you people are useless.
Det Hana: Ms. Amyot, first I'll have to ask you to refrain from using my first name. Next, I'm asking the questions and I want you to tell me what happened.
Paris: Are you some kind of an idiot? Didn’t you talk to my father?
Det. Hana: You can make a phone call once we are done here. I will try and get someone to contact your family in the meantime, but I need you to please answer my questions. We don’t have much time.
Hana's words came out forced and a light sheen of sweat had broken out across his skin as his eyes darted to the right, the last bit of the sentence he’d mouthed. Paris looked over at the mirror and then back at Hana. His distress finally registered but it only made Paris irritable.
Paris: Seriously? I forgot about the two-way glass. Why should I care who’s on the other side?
Hana's eyes grew pledging. Paris stared at the window as she took a drag of her cigarette, that all too familiar grin on her face.
Paris: Fine I'll play along, but I want to speak to my father Detective, tonight. What do you want to know?
Det. Hana: Start with how you know the Gratz.
Paris: I worked with Kason at Bay Robotics. Mars was just an annoyance I inherited when I got the job and the guy.
Det. Hana: Mars?
Paris: Mercury. Mars. Whatever! Who the hell names their kid after a space rock. Her parents must be hippies or something.
He ignored her rant trying to stay on topic.
Det. Hana: When did you "Get the guy" as you put it?
Paris: Our attraction was instant, but I kept my distance for a while cause I knew he was married. Once we went to Newcrest alone I couldn't resist anymore and he let me know it didn't matter that he was married because he wanted out anyway.
Det. Hana: Were you and Mr.Gratz..intimate on this trip?
Paris: oh Kane, wouldn't you like to know. Let's just say we got to know each other better.
She whispered to ensure anyone outside the room wouldn't hear her. A light blush spread across Hana's cheeks.
Det. Hana: Was that when the two of you became an official couple?
Paris: Yes and no. We were official, but we weren't public. He hadn't left his wife yet, obviously. But we were official in all the ways that counted Detective.
Detective Hana balled his hands into tight fist, visibly agitated by her last statement.
Det. Hana: Let's move on. Tell me when you and Mrs. Gratz had your first face-to-face encounter.
Paris: That's easy. The bitch showed up at the airport like a dog in heat. The moment we landed she was waiting outside the gate with her tongue out and her tail wagging.
Det. Hana: Did you exchange any words at that time?
Paris: Sure, but nothing I can remember now.
Hana nodded.
Det. Hana: Did you and Mr.Gratz maybe discuss when he was going to leave his wife? Didn't you wonder what was going to happen with his children? I can't imagine you raising anyone.
He scoffed.
Paris: What did you say?
Hana realized he'd allowed that last comment to slip out and scrambled to cover it up.
Det Hana: I just meant that you seem young to suddenly become stepmother to 4 small children is all. You would have to give up so much.
Paris's eyes narrowed and her tone was harsh.
Paris: Watch yourself detective. I'm not the only one who has done unspeakable things. I'm sure there are people who couldn't imagine you making detective first-grade. Yet here you are. I'm sure they would interested in how you achieved such a feat.
As the interrogation continued, Lieutenant Gordon received a text from Adler as he heated a frozen pastry from the precincts readily stocked but dubious selection of foods from the fridge. It was late and he'd been chasing ghost all day on another case, but the text had him shoveling the poorly heated pastry down his throat in a rush to get to the interrogation room. The text read:
Alder: Kane's has her in interrogation .Detective Wilks, and Hale are sitting in with me, but you should probably get down here, something doesn't seem right.
When Conrad arrived outside the observation room it was full. Adler stood behind an empty chair, arms folded across his chest with a frown. Conrad surveyed the small group trying to get a feel of their intentions, they all wore expressions ranging from confused to frustrated as they all watched the scene playing out behind the two-way mirror.
Lieu. Gordon: What’s going on in there?
Detective Wilks stood at the back of the room his brown hair was disheveled from raking his hand through it one too many times. Wilks didn’t take his eyes off the glass as he answered, obviously vexed by the circumstances.
Det. Wilks: It would seem, Detective Hana has decided for the entire department that he would be the one doing the Amyot interview. I’d like to know who gave him permission? The Chief made it clear: get her paperwork done and then she'd assign someone to do the interrogation tomorrow.
They all murmured in agreement.
Lieu. Gordon: No one cleared him. Amyot wasn’t supposed to have contact with anyone of us until tomorrow.
Det. Hale: Clearance isn't the only issue here Lieu.
Det. Wilks: Should we stop him, Lieutenant?
Lieutenant Gordon: No. I need to see what happens before we do anything else.
Conrad took a seat in the empty chair in front of Alder, listening intently to the conversation filtering into the speakers that connected the observation room to the interrogation room. Hana hadn’t thought to turn them off, causing Conrad to hesitate with his suspicions. Any level officer would have thought to turn off the microphone, so maybe he wasn’t hiding anything.
Paris: I told him we could let their grandparents adopt them, his or hers. It made no difference to me honestly, but he said that wouldn’t work. He's only entitled to part of her life's earnings, if they didn’t go too we wouldn’t get all the money. The kids have the larger share, thus how they became included in the deal. I'm no brat killer, but he insisted. He might as well have been foaming at the mouth as he talked about it. How could I say no?
Det. Hana: Would you have jumped off a bridge or killed yourself if he had asked Pa- Ms. Amyot?
Paris: Hmm? Maybe I would have. Have you seen him? Blonde hair, green eyes, athletic build without being too muscular and have you heard him speak, uugh it’s like honey over a fresh piece of bread, deep and rich. What about that says to say no.
She shrugged as she took another long drag from her cigarette. Kane fanned his hand through the air trying to clear some of the smoke away.
Det. Hana: Ugh, do you need to smoke that?
Paris: Yes. Next question.
Det. Hana: Why were you the one put up to the task? I mean from what you said, it was his idea. So why didn't he do the dirty work? He had constant access to his wife and the kids. Wouldn't it have been easier for him to kill his own family?
Paris: Let's just say I was better suited for the job. You should know. Besides they always blame the husband first, how could I let him take the blame for it all.
She droned in an antagonizing tone.
Det. Hana: At least in this instant we would have had it right and you...you would have been off the hook. Clear and free to live your life and love whoever you wanted after, but now...
Lieu. Gordon: Am I the only one getting the sense they know each other?
Ofc Adler: That's what I was telling Hale before you showed up. Something is going on between them. Amyot was calling him Kane like they’re old friends.
Det. Hale: I wouldn’t call their interaction friendly, but they are definitely familiar with one another.
She interjected.
Ofc Adler: She also mentioned him speaking to Mr. Gratz at the hospital. She couldn’t have known he was going to interview Gratz, we were assigned the task after she arrived. She never could have known it would be him, there are at least 5 other detectives here.
Lieu.Gordon: Unless he’s working with her somehow. Did anyone see Hana interact with Amyot when she arrived? We need to be absolutely sure. In the meantime, I'm putting an end to this charade before he puts the whole department at risk. Wilks, put Amyot back in holding with the other ladies. I want a transcript of their interview on my desk tomorrow morning, and someone check the camera's, we can't let this interview ruin the investigation so we need to get ahead of this. I'm going to have a word with Hana.
Det. Hana: So after all that what do you get out of the deal? Hmm? The kids are alive and for the moment so is his wife, so there goes the money. He's out there, free and worried about his family not you, while you're here in a bleak grey room wearing an orange jumpsuit. You said you did this all so you and him could be together, yet I don't see him in our precinct demanding you be freed. So was it worth it? Was he everything you hoped for?
Paris finally took a seat. She slowly pulled out another cigarette and slid it between her lips. She struck the match against the book that Hana had given her, engulfing the cigarette end with the small orange flame. She took a pull and blew the smoke in Detective Hana's direction as she ashed the tip onto the floor with no regard. He coughed and swiped his hand threw the air in disgust, trying to clear the smoke once more.
Paris: Detective, have you ever been in love? [Blows smoke] I mean the kind that your body understands before your brain. Where you can't sleep or eat. The thought of living without that person isn't even an option? I guess not considering the lack of a ring on your finger and the fact that you are working late during the holidays. I can assume that means there isn't anyone at home keeping the bed warmed up for you.
She taunted as she donned her usual nefarious smile.
Paris: You see love can make you do things you normally wouldn't. I'm a very passionate woman Detective. When I love, I love hard. Very few men have had and will have the pleasure of being loved by me. You know how that feels don’t you Kane.
Det. Hana: Sounds like you’re borderline obsessed if you ask my opinion. Maybe you made this whole thing up because he didn’t want you after all.
He snapped back. His patience was wearing thin and he was starting to losing his cool the more she mocked him.
Paris: Obsessed! Now that’s priceless coming from you, considering the way you chas-
Det. Hana: Shut your mouth!
He called out through clenched teeth just as the door shut with a heavy thud.
Lieu. Gordon: No Ms. Amyot please finish. I'd like to hear the end of that statement.
Hana: Lieutenant Gordon!
Hana tried to mask his surprise. Before Conrad could ask him a question he started babbling an explanation.
Det. Hana: I was just trying to get a start on the Amyot, Gratz case. Wanna be sure we don't miss anything. Plus the desk clerk said they had some issues with her, I was hoping to straighten them out.
Lieu. Gordon: With who's authorization?
Det. Hana: Well.. I just... No ones, sir. But, I was sent to take Mr. Gratz's statement so I figured I was assigned to be lead on this case.
When Hana and Adler had been sent to speak to Kason at the hospital the chief had simply assigned them to gather his statement and return. Detective Hana had never officially been assigned to the case, but it hadn't stopped him from telling everyone including Kason that he was the lead detective.
Lieu. Gordon: Detective Wilks will be here shortly to escort Ms. Amyot to holding. Meet me upstairs.
Det. Hana: But, I haven't finished the-
Conrad's expression stopped him mid sentence.
Det. Hana: Yes sir. I should let Wilks know she should be put in the empty holding cell at the end.
Conrad's frown deepened to a scowled.
Lieu. Gordon: She is to be put in a shared holding cell with the other ladies. Unless, there’s a reason you’ve separated her from the others?
Det. Hana: N-no sir.
Lieu. Gordon: Good. Then lets go. This interview is over.
Hana hesitated as Conrad held the door and waited for him to exit first. Conrad pulled the door shut behind him without a word to Paris, leaving her to wait for detective Wilks to come and fetch her.
Upstairs in an empty office Conrad laid into Hana.
Lieu.Gordon: Do you have any idea what you've potentially done?! That interview and the sketchy one at the hospital could be the difference between a landslide win and a dog fight in court. How do you know her?
Det. Hana: I don't. I was simply doing my job.
He answered defiantly.
Lieu. Gordon: A job no one assigned to you. You took it upon yourself to interview a suspect you were not asked to. Not to mention your very interesting trip to the hospital, where you were supposed to take a statement, but instead turned a victim into a suspect. Where did you get any of that information from Kane? No one was supposed to speak to Ms. Amyot from the time she was in custody, we were all informed of that. So how could you have her side of the story already?
Detective Hana stared back at Conrad with a look of distain, but said nothing.
Lieu. Gordon: Okay, fine. You're officially off the case. I don't want to see you anywhere near Ms. Amyot, Mr.Gartz, or anything related to their case. Do I make myself clear?
Hana gave a slight head nod in response, but that wasn't the response the Lieutenant was looking for. He wanted to be sure Kane understood.
Lieu. Gordon: Have I made myself clear? I don’t even want you to review evidence for their case.
Det. Hana: Loud and clear. Sir.
Conrad dismissed Kane and stood alone for a moment. He took a deep breath trying to center himself. The last couple of months had been stressful he didn't need the extra headache. That didn't deter him from his next task. He headed back downstairs where Paris had been escorted to the shared holding cell, which was crowded with 4 other women who were down on their luck that evening. He approached the gate stopping about five feet away.
Lieu. Gordon: Ms. Amyot, I have one question for you. How do you know Detective Kane Hana?
Paris: Who says that I do?
Conrad rolled his shoulders to ease some of the built up tension.
Lieu Gordon: Don't insult my intelligence, Ms. Amyot. I just want to know how you know Detective Hana. If you don't want to share I will go.
Paris: Professionally or personally?
She asked with a wicked gleam in her eyes.
Lieu. Gordon: I get the feeling they go hand and hand with you. Both.
Instead of answering, she pivoted in a different direction.
Paris: Maybe I'd like to get to know you Lieutenant, during which time I’d be more than happy to tell you everything I know about Kane Hana. I just need to make a phone call first. I think you can help me with that. Can't you Lieutenant Gordon?
Her tone grew heavy with seduction. Conrad held is ground, unaffected by her attempts at seducing him and unwavering in his position. He both wanted and needed answers to this question and he wouldn't be distracted.
When he didn't respond Paris took that as a no. Her smile dropped and she flipped him the bird. Gone was the seductive eyes and flirty tone she'd been using previously and in its place was the hateful snake she truly was.
Paris: Too bad. Guess you're on your own Lieutenant. I could have showed you a nice time, but apparently you’re another tightly wound officer of the law. So, I’ll save this treat for someone a little more daring. You can leave now.
She winked and her cackle bounced off the open space as Conrad turned his back on her. Paris's voice stalked him down the hall.
Paris: Send Kane back when he's ready to do his job properly, or you could always come back for a visit Lieutenant.
He left the holding area with more questions than answers, but two things became very clear: One, Paris needed to be supervised. She was such a wild card. Two, Hana couldn’t be allowed near Paris and her case or he could jeopardize everything.

March 4 - Part 2
Dakota called me after I got both toddlers down for a nap, wanting to know if he could stop by. I immediately said yes. We haven't gotten to visit in months.
"Not that I'm not glad to see you but you're kind of far from Brindleton Bay." I commented, after we sat down in the living room.
"I had a work related thing here. Basically we listened to a retired officer talk about...I kind of can't remember, to be honest. But I had to attend." Dakota explained, shrugging his shoulders.
I nodded my head and gazed over at him with narrowed eyes briefly.
"What?" Dakota asked me, raising an eyebrow.
"Why didn't you tell Jillian her family lives in my old house?" I asked him. I wasn't offended by any means but it just seemed out of character for him not be honest about it.
"I mean...it is kind of awkward they do since we did certain adult things in that house." Dakota told me, awkwardly.
I laughed. "We did the deed, yes. In multiple rooms if I remember correctly."
Dakota looked around like he was looking for Caleb to jump out and start a fight with him. They did use to fight a lot. Almost every time they crossed each other's path years ago.
"Caleb isn't here." I cleared up for him. "I feel like there's more to it." I said, directing us back to the topic we were discussing.
"I guess I was worried. Worried that she'd do one of those ultimatums where I'd have to stop being friends with you in order to stay with her and I was also still kind of hurt she didn't tell me about James' visit." Dakota admitted.
I sighed and patted his shoulder briefly. "I don't think Jillian would do that, first of all. She doesn't seem like the type and second trying to hurt her for hurting you...Dakota that isn't the way to do things."
"I know, you're right. I can't change it now. I apologized and all I can do is try to do better." Dakota said before standing up from the couch. We both heard the name "Vewa!" come through on the baby monitor. Ellie was up again. She doesn't sleep well at times. To my surprise, Dakota went downstairs with me to check on her and helped get her back to sleep.
Since Tucker seemed to have a eye on things in the house, I grabbed a baby monitor and slipped outside with Dakota for some fresh air. The night was cool and crisp but beautiful.
We looked at the stars and talked about old times.
"Do you remember the time you said." I cleared my throat and lowered my pitch "You look pretty, I guess."
Dakota laughed loudly "Yeah! We were going out to eat with Joey and you insulted me with -" he batted his eyelashes and did his best girly voice, which sounded nothing like me "“You don’t look bad yourself, Aladdin. Nice vest.”
Sometimes catching up with a good friend is much needed.

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 135 (Heather's Home!)
Conrad was sitting in the kitchen with Lavender when Heather returned from Selvadorada. "Mommy!" Lavender squealed.
Heather beamed. She'd missed their joyful smiles, but she moved slowly, feeling nauseous again as her body still recovered from the spider bite. "You look a little green," said Conrad with concern.
"You should have seen me a few days ago," she mused. "It looks like the contractors finished the upstairs bedroom while I was gone."
"The snow melted just long enough for them to get it done," said Conrad, showing off the space where Ash would sleep once he returned from spending Easter with the Landgraabs. They both glanced out the windows, noting the falling snowflakes beginning to gather on the ground all over again.
Heather smiled. "Even if the snow doesn't want to leave the Bay, it feels like a new beginning. George and June's murder is solved and the town's doing okay. I'm back from vacation. New season. New bedroom."
"We've got new problems...."
Heather cocked her head in confusion. "Rafa still won't cooperate? We didn't have any trouble with cartels in Selvadorada."
"As relieved as I am to hear that, I'm worried they might've gotten to Rafa and it's holding him back. He won't give up Ximena, but I keep trying. I sent Felix to try to talk to him in Sulani after convincing Melissa didn't work."
"Felix is pretty persuasive," she said hopefully. "I saw on Social Bunny he has a new girlfriend."
"He charmed Lilith without much trouble," Conrad agreed with a nod. "But the same lines won't work on Rafa."
"You could always arrest him and force his hand," she reminded him, but she knew her suggestion would fall on deaf ears.
"It's not just Rafa and his sister," he said carefully. He didn't even know where to begin with John Brindleton's town history lesson, so he skipped it - for now. "I talked to Ash about Ben and his dog and he figured out by himself that his accident as a toddler made it possible for him to see ghosts. Felix confirmed it's the most likely explanation."
"Because he was...Oh my Watcher...So he just sees ghosts? Plural? What if they frighten him?"
"He's not even worried about it. Says he's never met a ghost that he didn't think was living. Doesn't even know if he's ever met more than Ben and Captain Whitaker." She leaned into him, feeling dizzy, and Conrad held out a hand to support her. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Maybe I should lie down. Jet lag hit me on the way into the jungle, and it'll probably hit me again now that I'm home."
Conrad kissed her and put her to bed, taking Lavender to daycare on his way to work. Heather napped for most of the day, calling her parents to cancel plans to go to Henford for Easter dinner because the thought of spending an hour on the speedy Simmerloop made her feel as green as she looked. "I know Hazel's already in town for the weekend. That's good in case this is a flu or something."
"We're sorry we won't see you, but we just want you to rest if you're sick," said her father, Neal. "We'll miss your cooking, though."
"Maybe we'll make it to Henford for Mother's Day, if things aren't too hectic with the clinic rebuild."
"Get well soon, Buttercup. We love you."
"Love you, too."
She hung up the phone, content after a quick chat with her beloved dad despite her guilt over cancelling holiday plans. But she couldn't dwell for long on her feelings before she raced to the bathroom to be sick.
At work, Conrad was in the break room. While his coworkers talked about plans to celebrate his old partner Josephine's retirement party at the Salty Paw, he pulled himself away when his phone rang. "Felix! How's the beach?"
"It's not Felix." Rafa's tone curdled down the line. "He let me borrow his phone to tell you to screw off."
In the tropics, Felix rocked uncomfortably in his flip flops. "He didn't tell me that's what he wanted to say! I told him he might avoid prison entirely if he gives up his sister and he said he wanted to call you."
"And who the hell are you to promise something like that? You're just some weird lawyer who sounds a hundred years older than he looks!"
"Listen to Felix," Conrad urged, careful not to mention Rafa's name in front of his coworkers. "He's the most experienced attorney I know."
Even though Felix had passed the bar only recently, Conrad was telling the truth. He didn't know any other attorneys who'd practiced law as far back as the early 20th Century.
"If I get off with nothing but a slap on the wrist after selling my own sister up the river, the cartel will come for me, for sure."
"You said yourself they're not concerned with Sulani. I know what I'm asking you, and I wouldn't ask if I didn't need your help. She's been all but abandoned by the cartel. I'm sure of it. No one's visited her since she was put behind bars, but you know what she's capable of. You could keep her there, for your benefit as much as mine. Yours and Melissa's."
"You shouldn't have sent her here."
"But you weren't this mad when I did."
"Screw you, Conrad. And stop telling the Ngatas to spy on me. Oliana and her son come by every other day now."
"Maybe they care about you. I know what that's like."
The call ended with a click, and Conrad sighed. He was beginning to think he'd have to bring in the cartel to pressure Ximena, after all, but he didn't relish the possibility in the slightest. ->

NOTE: There was already a sneaky shot of the new bedroom in the Love Day installment because making spring crafts were the only way I knew how to make Valentine's-themed artwork without mods, and I'd already done the reno in the spring save when I wanted to put that shot in.
WCIF Pose: @novapark's Incoming Puke for Heather's bathroom shot. Love it even if Heather is suffering for it; thank you for sharing!

P R E M I E R E - P A R T 2

Part 2 of the premiere of Housewives of Brindleton Bay gave us an exclusive look into Jenna and Brandy’s lives, and let’s just say—these women are booked, busy, and making boss moves. Brandy Hough, the ever-dedicated fashion designer, is practically glued to her sketchbook. Mornings? Spent refining designs. Work hours? A relentless grind at the studio. Even after clocking out, she’s back home, hunched over her sketches, perfecting every detail. It’s all leading up to her highly anticipated fashion show, and if anyone thought she’d be taking a break anytime soon—think again. Brandy eats, breathes, and sleeps design, and this episode made it clear that nothing is getting in the way of her creative empire. Meanwhile, Jenna is redefining what it means to be a powerhouse businesswoman and a supermom. Her day starts at the office, juggling high-stakes meetings and business strategies before seamlessly transitioning into mom mode, picking up her son from school. But even then, work doesn’t stop—she’s taking calls, giving orders, and running her company like a true boss. And the moment she steps back into her home? Straight to her office, because the grind never sleeps. While the latter half of the episode didn’t serve up much drama, it did solidify one thing, these women are serious about their careers.

Gianni's Residence | Del Sol Valley, Simerica
Jennifer: Hi, Mom! Hi, Dad!
Gianni: How's Del Sol living, DJ?
Dennis Jr: Ah, you know how it is - expensive!
Gianni laughs: I hear that!
Rainbow: This is a cute little fall spread, Gianni! I'm impressed.
Gianni: Why, thank you! An all-vegan spread, too. Let's eat, shall we?
Dennis Sr: I hope after this nice dinner, we have time to catch the big game.
Gianni: I don't know, Mr. Brown. Quarks vs Thunders? Can our friendship withstand such a match up?
Dennis Sr laughs: I can promise to keep the trash talk to a minimum. But only because I like you.
Gianni: I'm honored, sir.
Dennis Jr: Yeah, not me. I don't care how long I live in the Valley, I'm a Brindleton Bay Thunders fan all the way.
Rainbow: Can we have one dinner without it turning into sports talk?
Jennifer chuckles: Somehow, I doubt that.
Rainbow: Let's talk about something more interesting. How are you two doing? Do you love living in this ridiculously large house, Jenny?
Jennifer sighs: Back to those Thunders...
Rainbow: What? Fine, Gianni. Here's something I've been meaning to ask you. What do you think of Jennifer's tattoos?
Gianni: Her tattoos?
Rainbow: Yes! I'm so curious. You know, we didn't raise them to draw all over their bodies. But Jennifer had a little phase and now the girl's covered.
Jennifer: What? I don't even have that many!
Gianni: I like them. They're all really nicely done and she has a nice story or meaning behind each one. I think that's cool.
Rainbow: Oh, okay. Well, that's good. Still happy at least one of our kids is tattoo-less.
Dennis Jr nervous: Heh, right.
Jennifer: Why don't we focus on DJ the Tattooless and his little girlfriend?
Rainbow curious: Girlfriend?
Dennis Jr: I have no idea what she's talking about.
Jennifer: Sure.
Gianni: Jen, I think Xena needs to be let out. Do you mind?
Jennifer chuckles: I'll take any excuse to be excused right now.
Gianni whispers: Well, fam. I want to thank you all for coming, but I have an ulterior motive for why I had Jennifer invite you.
Dennis Sr: Do you know? What's on your mind, Son?
Rainbow: Hmm. This should be good.
Gianni: Well, you all know that I love Jennifer. She's honestly the best thing that's ever happened to me and our relationship has been progressing so well that I think it's ready for the next step. So... I'd like to ask you for your blessing to marry your daughter.
Dennis Jr: Woah. That's awesome, man!
Dennis Sr: Well, this is exciting news. Right, honey?
Rainbow: You want to marry our daughter?
Gianni: Yes.
Rainbow: Marry Jennifer?
Gianni: Yes...
Rainbow: Well, that's great news!
Gianni: Really?
Rainbow: Of course! My little girl is getting married! I mean, you have my blessing. Right, Dennis?
Dennis Sr: Yes, of course! You're already like family. I'd be happy to call you, son in law!
Gianni relieved: Whew! I am glad to hear that!
Dennis Sr: So, when is this all happening, son?
Gianni: The proposal? Well, I mean, we're all here and I can't think of a better way to propose that she'd actually like and not think was insanely over the top. So, I was thinking right here tonight.
Rainbow: Oh, Watcher! How exciting! I love that idea.
Dennis Jr: So will Jennifer. Congrats, man! Oh, snap. Here she comes!
