Favorite episode: Both episode 7's I think? I love an alternate universe episode and the bridge fight is so good. But like it's hard to pick a favorite episode honestly, especially since I haven't finished rewatching season 2 (my GF has not seen it yet and I was rewatching it with her and we stopped asdfghj, I've been meaning to get back to it when she's not awake however honestly so much happens I don't know if she could spoil herself without any context i should just keep going on my rewatch lmao)

Least favorite episode: The finale purely because I know they had to leave out a lot they wanted to put in there that they had to cut. I hate when people make a team do that. Like let them finish it how they wrote it?

Favorite duo: Any duo with Heimerdinger in it purely because he makes it so silly to me. I love everyone taking him very seriously and he's just like this small puppy man who has seen all the horrors. Honorable mentions: I like duos featuring Silco

and if crossovers are allowed, since I received an ask a little while ago about this, I have been very amused by the concept of a reboot crossover purely to make Jinx and Vergil work together because it'd go really badly and I think it'd be funny how much she'd hate him and how she would express such hatred because she's not allowed to kill him yet (she asked)

Favorite design: Impossible to pick they're all really good. I really like all the women with noses in particular. Like I really love Vi's face design in particular, her nose is perhaps subtle but like the nose bridge bump and everything like I will never forgive the fandom for not drawing her right asdfghj. All the women in particular are so well designed and so uniquely designed it's a delight. My favorite to draw though is Jinx because like it's all the hair. It's the hair. I love the hair I'm obsessed with her hair.

Least favorite design: Impossible to pick asdfghj they're all so good asdfghj but I guess if I have to pick I don't know if I like Ekko's alternate universe university outfit but idk if that's the outfits fault or just the fact the other Ekko design is cooler. And there's just something about like apocalypse wasteland Jayces outfit which upsets me and I could not tell you why.

Favorite scene: The Ekko's hesitation during the bridge fight like those few seconds specifically. Any scene in Silcos shark room because I like the shark room. The tea party, also very delightful. I LOVED all the little flash backs before the episodes that would play during season one also, I thought they were really clever.

Least favorite scene: I keep ragging on Cait I promise I don't hate her I just don't care much about her asdfghjk but like...the weird little music video bit for her mothers like burial? Like it felt...like they had a more ambitious idea in mind and instead went for this strange story board version because they ran out of time to do what they actually wanted. That just does not work for me. Some of season 2s other musical bits felt a little like this but not nearly to the same degree and felt a lot more integrated where as the Cait one just idk did not work for me asdfghjk I'm sorry Cait

because with the first one it’s a slow buildup and dread knowing the answer and when he finally receives the confirmation, riddle allows his heart to 100% break and finally come to terms that there isn’t going to be that kind of reciprocation from yuuna

for the LATTER, I want it to be like he mistook their friendliness as them undoubtedly having the same feelings, like he’s so certain about it. "they're acting this way towards me, so why not?? they'll give me a chance. I'll just make the first move" but he's still nervous, of course, but when he got rejected, it completely upended him because all of what he thought he had misinterpreted. of course he wouldn't blame yuuna for it, he would be more upset with himself for not being able to get it right and assuming in the first place

This is something I’ve wanted to do since my first one, I have updated my character tierlist from s1 to s2 now that it’s finished! I always think these are fun so I just wanted to post them. As you can see my opinions on many characters changed quite a bit. Also these are in order, even for very minor characters. The “first” one is accurate to the one I made in 2022 when I first watched the show, I just remade it so the tierlists match.

It's such an insane thing to hear when stepping into a POW camp that Bubbles laughs despite himself, folding into Brady's waiting arms with no resistance. Adrenaline has been the only thing keeping him moving for the last week, the fear of stumbling too hard and being gunned down by an overeager guard making him put one foot in front of the other and not dwell on the burning in his side, his arm, his face. Relief at seeing his friends had given him the strength to make it through the gate, but now Bubbles can feel it failing him at last, the pain finally eating into him enough to bring darkness over him like a shroud.

HOLDS YOUR HANDS. i just found out the perilous guard by elizabeth marie pope (book i read when i was 14 and LOVED) is a tam lin retelling (did not know this) . now to be fair i have not read this book in Years but!!! the sherwood ring by the same author is one of my top 3 books of all time (very cozy and comforting to me) so i feel comfortable reccing it to you :3

EVERYONE WAKE UP new tam lin retelling just dropped and it comes backed by my beloved Julia! adding both books to my TBR immediately thank u immensely.

It's funny how many retellings of it there are but when you think about it the Beauty and the Beast plot and rescue The Man and transformation motif are all very common in folklore and have bled into so many types of story. Because it's a story that slaps.

so like. moze is a very poorly socialized crow, right. but he trusts feixiao and jiaoqiu. you know what this makes perfect space for?

ultimate wingmen feixiao and jiaoqiu.

feixiao enjoys your company- she thinks you’re a very excited and endearing little thing. this isn’t your first meeting of course; you’ve met a few times before, just enough for jiaoqiu to notice the way mozes eyes linger on you. so feixiao is chatting with you, asking for details about what you like, telling you stories about being the general on the yaoqing, while moze and jiaoqiu observe from a short distance.

“i still don’t understand why you insist on staying here with me,” says moze in his usual flat tone.

jiaoqiu knows what he means, but chooses to tease him anyway, “what, i can’t keep my dear friend company?”

“aren’t you friends with her too?”

jiaoqiu smiles, “evie? yes, i think she’s friends with everyone she meets. she’s so sweet, i think she could even break through that icy exterior of yours,” the foxian tries to knock on the shadow guards chest for emphasis, but is firmly blocked by his hand.

“i disagree.”

jiaoqiu lets the comment slide as they continue to watch you and the general chat. he knows better, after all. moze typically needs time and exposure to acclimate to new people, but jiaoqiu is a very good doctor. though he’s no psychologist, he knows sometimes all a patient needs is a good push.

“you know, i think she had to be a foxian in her last life.”

moze raises an eyebrow at his friend.

“just look at her! if she had a tail, it’d be wagging nonstop.”

moze says nothing, but jiaoqiu has known moze long enough to know when he’s thinking hard about something.

and thinking hard moze is.

the next time you come up to the general or jiaoqiu to chat, mozes eyes are glued to you, picturing a dark, fluffy tail swishing back and forth with excitement. it’d make the ruffles in your skirts flutter too, he thinks. it could maybe even make the fabric ride up a little in the back-

he finds these thoughts haunting him constantly.

to be beside you and feel soft fur brush against his legs. to be behind you and catch peeks of your upper thighs- he wonders if you wear safety shorts. he wonders if you don’t.

such reprehensible behavior. you would be disgusted if you could read his mind. he can’t get himself to stop- maybe he doesn’t want to. he expects he’ll have to take these fantasies to his grave regardless.

what he doesn’t expect is more. more conversations, more texts, more time, more evie. and he finds himself with so much more evie that these fantasies to become more, too.

“it’s ok-” but moze is already gone, disappearing into a puff of shadow and crow feathers that flutter into nothingness once they hit the ground, “-oh.”

“did our dear crow fly off from you?” jiaoqiu appears out of nowhere, two boba drinks in hand. his smile cools the flare of disappointment at moze’s sudden retreat.

“uh- yeah, he did. he didn’t look great. i was just about to text you, actually,” you almost cringe at the way the feelings creep into your voice.

“well, i was on my way to bring the general a midday treat, but i suppose this justifies a sudden change in plans.”

“oh, i wouldn’t want to-”

“too late!” jiaoqiu is already seated, placing one drink- conveniently your current favorite- in front of you and shooting off a text to the general, “now, why don’t you tell me how your days been? i can probably think of some embarrassing stories about moze to get him back for leaving so suddenly.”

in his pocket, jiaoqiu’s phone buzzes.

feixiao: this has to be some form of mental harassment…i can’t believe you paid some random girl to walk in his line of sight and swish her tail to see what would happen! incredible work, jiaoqiu. i’ll start brainstorming our next move.

hi! oh my goodness. i am SO sorry i didn’t say anything earlier. i did read everything a couple days ago, and i Have been chewing on it, rotating it in my mind, etc etc…..and the graphic has been my phone lockscreen since i first read it!!!!!

frankly i am obsessed and have also been a little frazzled this month lol. saw your post late because of the general whirlwind that is december and then couldn’t quite get my thoughts into sufficient words n got worried “oh no would it be weird to say something now…..” which is incredibly silly in retrospect, so sorry for that. 

i’m relatively new to hockey fandom and the Narratives don’t always quite click for me (yet, at least :)) because i don’t know all of the lore for a lot of the popular pairings haha, so it means a lot that you’ve taken time out of your day to break things down for me and share your own thoughts <3 tysm. again, super sorry for the delayed response. i’m very sorry if you felt as though you’d wasted your time or something along those lines :’) just wanted to let you know that i really appreciate you and the time it took you to get everything down and make the graphic!!!! and like i can’t overstate how much your tags both over here and on your other blog have helped me to Get It since the start of this season, so thank you.

but now the house is quiet, the in-laws are gone, and no new work stuff until january :) so i can finally get some stuff down. every point you brought up hits in it own way but gosh you are very incredibly right the mcstrome of it all…..that’s sort of the lens i’ve been listening to the song through since you mentioned it.

the golden boy and the “draft bust” and the ever present notion of “isn’t it all about old friends? like everything? all of it?”.  like idk looking back on a bestfriendship from when you were a teenager that was Super intense and the lines were blurred and maybe realizing (if you hadn’t had the words or the “guts” or awareness or wtv to put a name to it at that point in your life) that y’all were a smidge more than just friends. 

best friends forever until you just aren’t! growing up and growing apart. it’s just the way things go but it can and will ache for a damn long time! you think you’re over it until their birthday or the holidays roll around and you wonder in a distant sort of way who they’re spending it with. what you would’ve hypothetically gotten them as a present if you still spoke. what do they even like nowadays, anyway?

maybe having the friendship end subtly. going from playing and traveling together and living in one another’s pockets to 2,080 miles of distance? (i may have my timeline/details confused here so sorry in advance) texting as much as you can at first but he’s a phenom he’s mcjesus he’s the next in line he’s expected to win the cup with his new team and end the drought for Canada. and they have him now but he was yours first, wasn’t he? but it’s fine. because you’re busy too. you’re captaining the team now. you’re gonna get the memorial cup that he couldn’t. it’s fine. you’re fine. you don’t even have time to worry about it anyway. 

one conversation a week turns to one a month turns to once in a blue moon turns to stale words until it goes cold. these days you can’t quite seem to remember who ended things, but does it really matter all that much now?

or maybe it doesn’t end like that at all. maybe it ends in a flurry of angry words and digs in some or other of the endless hotel rooms you’ve shared together over the years. who knows!

and that’s not even getting into the rest of the 2015 draft class. or the ld19 of it all! ooh hoo hoo. you grew up with him but he’s not your waiting room. he grew up with you but he’ll grow “old” (end his career) with someone else. and isn’t that just something! 

i don’t think it’s totally them, but sort of the sentiment of “I hope you get everything you ever wanted and I hope I never hear a word about it.” I want one ticket off of your carousel!!!! merry christmas, please don’t call!!!!!!!

anyway. other things off the top of my head: 2015 connor specifically saying something like “hey let’s wait a minute so we can see this” to stand by the stage when dylan was getting drafted after him. MAN. you reminded me of the fact that they couldn’t even make eye contact at the handshake line!!!!!!!!! they didn’t go to each other’s weddings!!!!!!!!!! (do you think once upon a time they ever thought they’d being each other’s best man?). just a couple months ago dylan liking the tweet of connor getting that goal during the playoffs!!!!!!!! makes you wonder if he texted him………..

lol this was all over the place and i was probably wrong on some things and there’s SO much more that someone else could say way more eloquently, but i digress. i dunno everything about them is so nuts to me!!!!! needless to say i will be incredibly sat for the game january 21 🙂‍↕️
