Hiya!! Welcome to my BrBa & BCS focused blog! 👋🏼😊 The primary purpose of this pinned post is to give some info about me, my blog, and what you can expect to find on it. Everything below the cut is not required reading to follow or interact; merely just additional info if you are interested, or if you want to make requests. The only thing I require you to read is the following disclaimer:

This is an 18+ blog ran by an adult. You will find NSFT art/fic, dark and potentially upsetting themes, as is common for the BrBa/BCS universe. And I make very thirsty comments & posts about my blorbos, so just keep that in mind. However!! I am not going to restrict anyone from following/interacting with my blog. 🌌About Me!🪐

Basic info - You can call me either Orion or Riley! I'm 25, neurodivergent, trans masc & nonbinary, and bisexual. Pronouns are he/him and they/them. I do also live in New Mexico (born and raised babyy!), which makes the shows that much more special to me!! I'm very friendly and open, but also very shy, so I tend to not reach out to folks even when I want to talk to them (which, honestly, is most of y'all. Oops.) If you ever do feel compelled to chat with me, please don't hesitate! I'm super excited to talk about BrBa/BCS with literally anybody!

I'm a writer, but I struggle hard with getting anything actually published on here or AO3. I try to write but it's not nearly consistent enough to ever expect anything from me. I'm working towards getting better at this! My main hurdle to overcome is my perfectionism and my fear of rejection (RSD).

I have a lot of interests, being autistic, so the only important one to list here is obviously Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul. You can certainly ask about my other interests, and I'll be happy to tell you more! I like to keep my special interests all separate on their own dedicated blogs, so that was the main motivation behind creating this one. Which leads me to the next section:

CANON DIVERGENCE

All girls are canon divergent to an extent. They also follow the lore on @demonsfate - meaning that will always be their “default” Jin for now (there aren’t rly any other Jin writers at the time of this!) and they all follow the lore that Jin wasn’t responsible for the war, but his Devil was. This is important for Jun, Asuka and Alisa’s depictions.

I tend to depict Jun as she was portrayed in earlier games than how she is in Tekken 8. (Sorry, but she just feels different to me in T8) my Jun will be more stoic than T8′s depiction (smiling less, showing less obvious emotions) & whilst an understanding woman, she can be pushed past her limits. Although I will sometimes use screencaps from T8 for icons, I try to stick to her Tag 2 model for icons (as she also looked more like how I pictured Jun in that game)

Jun was also NEVER Unknown in canon, nor had she ever become her once. Although I will write Unknown, she is always, just like in the games, an AU version of Jun outside of canon. I’m just willing to write Unknown for fun, is all.

Asuka, meanwhile - is VERY canon divergent. I depict Asuka as important to the plot. She helped Jin overcome his devil. Asuka has purifying powers and is aware of them, she spent a good part of the war discovering them, which helped Jin take back control during the war.

Josie may be a bit headcanon based due to having limited lore.

Alisa will have some headcanons that may differ from canon, I want to really focus on her existence as a robot.

NSFW + Triggering content

Posts may contain triggering themes - I will tag all the best I can, and I will accept custom tags if people request it.

As for smut threads? It’s possible - however, all will be tagged as “spicy” or “NSFT”. Whether or not they’re put under a readmore depends on if my partner puts them under one.

I always have a hard time shipping people with Speirs but I feel like he’s so mature, has good morals and can be super laid back- I feel like he would be an AMAZING fit for you.

first let’s start with your appearance omg you sound absolutely stunning and all of the Easy men know this, they all stare at your hips when you’re walking away until infamous Ron Speirs walks ofter and tells them to mind their business.

doesn’t realise who they’re staring at until you turn back around and Ron feels like he’s been hit by a train. Deffo admires how natural you are and your eyes are immediately what he’s drawn to. He’s a respectful guy, so doesn’t dwell on this, probably hides his emotions and doesn’t admit to himself or anybody else for a veryyyyyy long time.

I think he’s attractiveness is super super fitting with you? Your height sounds perfect and Ron probably has a thing for your hair. When you get more comfortable he’d probably trail his fingers through it and across your cheeks.

I think an actual relationship would blossom more towards the end of the war? Let’s say in Germany, ‘the best part of war they’d seen’ as Perconte said. Things are somewhat relaxing, waiting for the inevitable end- Ron plucks up the courage to hold your hand out of everything skiekskdieioe.

kinda has the nerves that resemble a school boy, as you said your 60% logical and 50% soft I think you’d be intuitive enough to see the man has feelings for you. You’d be so gentle and caring of him, all through the war, it pains him that somebody so selfless like you is stuck out there with them.

doesn't let ANYBODY know what’s going on between the two of you at first- this doesn’t mean he wants to hide you because he wants nothing more than to show off your relationship. He’s just a modest guy, and fraternising would risk extreme punishment for the both of you. He couldn’t put you through that, so for a while you live in your own bubble.

Lmao let’s be honest everybody’s so close they all can tell you’re his girl and somethings going on, they’d never point it out to avoid the two of you getting in trouble.

you’re so very polite and all well rounded he knows you’d be perfect to bring home to his parents.

knows how to give love so well but he’s not so used to receiving it? He too faces unspoken insecurities but I feel like you seem like a very caring character that you’d be so helpful at reassuring him.

so important as well is that Speirs makes sure you’re safe at all times, and makes sure you feel safe. He’ll always ask questions, soothing you through any anxiety or sadness. No slight downwards tug of the mouth or blurry eyes go unnoticed by him.

As you said you’re full of compliments, this makes Ron BLUSH. Especially early in the relationship, let’s say he takes his shirt off to go swimming and you’re like ‘omgomomg captain Speirs nobody told me you were hiding all that’- he almost faints.

let’s say some random German girl or something hits on Ron or she’s rude idk- you don’t tolerate it omg, you defend your man so good and it kinda turns Speirs on. Would walk out with you under his arm, would be soo fucking proud and smug for you.

HATES seeing you cry, especially as you don’t do it often, pulls you straight into his chest and doesn’t let you go.

maybe he’d gently pull you into bed with him, locking his arms around you or keeping you under him to feel safe and secure.

He’s not a super emotional guy but in moments like these he truly feels what you feel. He’s a huge fucking empath. Feels grateful???? That you opened up to him, cherishes the moments of vulnerability so much and asks you what he can do to make it better.

now on the other hand you sound like such an amazing person to have when he’s not feeling so good. You’ve had similar experiences with PTSD so I think there’s a mutual understanding that’s crucial to your relationship.

but let’s say later down the line once you’re married (he’s kinda traditional but super chill about it and open to do what you want) you fall pregnant and pop out a baby.

ron is OVER THE MOON. Screams about how good of a mother you’d be, but once the excitement maybe 7 months in has been going on for some time he does PANIC and realises he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

you’d work together as parents as such a good team, you’d enjoy your family life and being a parent comes natural to your both. As you said you’d have a hard time saying no to your kids, I think Ron would?? Especially when they’re so little and cute a more playful, inner child comes out in him that’s so healing for the both of you.

cries when his babies are born. You have a second one and your family life is sooo complete.

Loves the chaos of children but Jesus pls let him sleep, he moves around like a sloth in the early days, not wanting you to overwork yourself at all.

gets sleep deprived but it’s so worth it.

sorry this took so long I've had a lot going on lately but tysm for the request :)

The smell of fresh donuts hangs in the air, sweet cinnamon blending with the gusts of cold wind that brush along their cheeks. Jughead vaguely remembers visiting the farm as a kid, when his dad had to lift him in order for him to reach any of the good apples, but he hasn't been back in years.

It's chillier than usual today, so the crowds are fairly thin. Of course there are groups of children running around and trying to carry pumpkins bigger than their own heads, but for the most part they're easy to avoid.

They allocated a couple hours for this after the Sunday lunch rush, Tabitha thanking the others for covering their shifts before throwing on her jacket and pulling them both out the door.

"What kind of apples did you need for your pie?"

Tabitha makes an exaggerated gasping noise. "I don't discriminate against apples, Jones. All apples are good apples, and as long as they're sweet they're going in my pie."

She had suggested they come here a couple of days earlier after promising him the best pie in all of Chicago (and in all Riverdale) in return. They already found three small pumpkins, which Tabitha suggested they place around Pop's to really get in touch with the holiday spirit. Currently the pumpkins are safely nestled in a fishnet bag in Jughead's left hand, his right hanging in the space between them, fingers interlaced with Tabitha's.

"Grandpa asked me to grab him a couple too. His turnovers are almost as good as my pie."

She leads them towards a section labeled "honeycrisp", lightly tugging at Jughead's hand as they make their way down the first row.

The lower branches have all been picked clean, but the tops of the trees are littered with fat, red apples. Tabitha sighs.

"Hoist me up?"

"You're kidding."

Tabitha shakes her head. "Either you're helping me up or I'm jumping up there myself."

Jughead rolls his eyes, but obliges, putting down the bag of pumpkins and placing both hands along the narrowest part of her waist.

"You ready?"

"As I'll ever be."

He lifts her up slightly, just enough for Tabitha to get her footing on the thickest branch she can find. He's hesitatant to let go, his hands lingering on her waist, afraid of letting her fall.

She has to remove his hands for him, giving one of them a squeeze, then letting go completely.

"I'll be fine. I'm a big girl after all." Tabitha reaches for a nearby apple, inspecting it for a second before tossing it to Jughead. "But you'll catch me if I fall, right?"

"No promises."

Tabitha scoffs.

"But I'll try." Jughead adds with a smile.

Tabitha finds a few more apples from the tree, handing each of them down to Jughead below. Theres about five or six honeycrisp in the bag when she decides she's ready to move on.

"You gonna help me down?" she asks, extending her hand out to him.

Jughead takes it with his left hand and returns his right one to her waist, guiding her as she jumps back down the ground.

Just like before he doesn't let go immediately, instead holding her there in front of him.

"Hey." she says.

"Hey yourself."

Tabitha leans in closer, her lips hovering close enough that he can feel her breathing. "We're never gonna get to all of the apples if we just keep standing here."

"I think the apples can wait."

Tabitha raises an eyebrow and gigles, but she's interrupted by Jughead closing the distance between them.

Tabitha pulls away first. "As much as I'd love to keep kissing you, I'm pretty sure the orchard closes in less than an hour."

"Shit, that's early."

"I know," Tabitha starts, rejoining their hands and stepping into the next row over, "but it's the only one in Riverdale."

They end up leaving the farm with an entire bag full of apples, a dozen apple cider donuts, and an extra pumpkin for their apartment. And yeah, Tabitha does make a great apple pie, but Pop's turnovers were pretty damn close.

Officially opening for submissions on March 13. (Submissions posting two to four weeks later)

Since the announcement of the legendary edition, I have received close to 100 really kind messages requests from people wanting the confession blog to reopen. I just want to say I am truly appreciative of all of them.

I ultimately made the decision to resurrect the blog because I love the series and I love the fandom..... when its not eating itself with rage, negativity and bullying.

And I have to admit this was not an easy decision because back when the blog was first opened the final year of the blog was not a pleasant or a very fun experience and that is putting it mildly. The Mass Effect Fandom is just not the same as Dragon Age Fandom.

And so in order to avoid stress, unnecessary drama, and any possible hate mail I decided there would have to be some changes to the blog so the following are some of the new rules I decided on.

First it goes without saying that many of the rules will be exactly the same as they are for Dragon Age Confessions.

1. Always Check the tags to see if a confession has posted recently that looks like one you want to submit. Please then reblog that confession rather than sending a new one.

2. I will not accept:

A) Name dropping of other fans within the Tumblr fandom (either positive or or negative). B) Highly triggering explicit content. HOWEVER, I will accept survivor stories and how the game has aided in healing, as long as it is NOT highly detailed.

C) Under no circumstance will confessions relating to hate speech about a particular out of game (or some in game) race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or any other be published. They will be deleted from the inbox without comment.

D) Libelous/slanderous confessions of any kind about other fans or the game creators.

E) Please keep confessions PG-13- there are other blogs that will take R and X rated confessions (see our other cool sites tab) Please don’t use emojis in your confessions. They don’t display properly in the inbox. (I have no tried the beta of the new editor yet so that might have changed.)

3) I also will not be accepting any sort of super short confessions like "Ashley is racist", "Kaidan is a whiny crybaby", "Thane is too emotional" "Liam needs to fucking die", etc.

A) These confessions do not accomplish anything except piss people off, cause drama and cause me stress. And these things have been said over and over and over that they are NOT worth repeating.

B) Character and game critical posts are welcome of course but please just put some thought into them.

C) I will also try to pair any sort critical confessions with positive ones the same way I pair them on Dragon Age Confessions

4) I will NOT be accepting any sort of conspiracy related posts/theories regarding BioWare, EA, Andromeda, Anthem etc. And that includes "BioWare is Dead" posts. The fandom has been spewing BioWare is dead posts, since the days of Dragon Age 2. Its a broken record now.

A) Andromeda Critical submissions will be accepted but will be deleted if they contain profanity, harassment, etc toward the developers. The developers are human beings. They have families. They deal with enough crap from the fandom and I refuse to add to it.

B) I will also delete confessions that use ableist terms and basically shame those in fandom who enjoyed Andromeda.

5) Pairings/Ships

Since the announcement of the Legendary Edition I have seen certain tags being invaded. People can ship who they want to ship just don't be obnoxious about it.

If you want to confess/lament about some pairing not being available go for it. Feel free to shout it to the world!!

I'm just going to really watch the submissions regarding ships because some of them really caused drama as well as stress. Love who you want to love but please please do not send me submissions that shame people for not being into your ship.

Here is an example of what I will delete -----> “I don’t understand why anybody would want to romance “Insert Name here” when they can have “Insert Name Here”. Confessions like that only piss people off and cause a massive headache for me.

Like I said...Love who you want to love. Feel free to confess it just do NOT be obnoxious about it. Please.

6) Also if you see any confession tagged where they do NOT belong please feel free to send me a message and if the perpetrator is identified, they will be BLOCKED.

7) I will also be accepting confessor created confessions the way I do with Dragon Age Confessions. Just make sure they are a decent size since Tumblr shrinks them and please add the caption so I can simply copy and paste.

8) If you have a particular screenshot you want with your confession, feel free to submit just please please make sure its a good size because Tumblr really shrinks them.

9) When this blog first reopens Anonymous will be off. I will turn on Anonymous eventually but not now. 75% of the time Anonymous is off with Dragon Age Confessions. Your identity will always be protected.

10) Tumblr has finally give us the ability to delete replies in posts. (ABOUT FREAKING TIME!!! ) If I see any reply that is racist, homophobic, lesbophobic, etc, I will delete them. And since I can’t be here 24 hours a day feel free to send me a message with the location and I will delete.

11) If I see a particularly interesting gaming news article relating to the series and its from a legitimate source and not a clickbait site, I will post it. There is a tumblr regular who does an extremely wonderful job at posting info about both the Dragon Age Series and Mass Effect Series. You can literally see how much work they put into compiling the info and if they post important info regarding the game, etc. I will reblog them.

12) I will post another announcement when the blog opens.

welcome to my funky little writing blog!

I am Mint, and I love- Well, writing! I'm usually most active as a roleplayer, but thanks to some self reflection, I've sorta decided to give something a bit more... idk, easier to freestyle and more flexible to focus on right now instead. I still lurk around on old rp blogs, but I wanna try doing something more relaxed, even if just for the sake of my own sanity lol. Only times I see a need to gender the reader is if it’s a headcanon about a trans reader and how the characters would support them. (I won’t disregard your request just because you gender the reader, but I will ignore the gender part.) I want to keep the reader insert as ambiguous as possible so anybody can, you know, be inserted into the place of the reader lol

- Controversial stuff. Trying to stay away from those kinds of things right now because, if I handle something wrong, I will get backlash and I’m not in the mental state to be handling that atm.

I was gonna wait until we actually reached lake Baikal, but I’m impatient, so let’s start the final part of my little series about these three disasters.

In the last post I talked about how Kai, Rai and Johnny are similar. Now I want to talk about how their similar fates will mean something different for each of them.

To recap, all three boys are highly sensitive and emotional, but too proud to dare be vulnerable, and so they hide behind more aggressive behaviour; Kai is antisocial, Johnny is sarcastic and cruel, and Rai is ANGRY. All three spend canon dealing with a big change in their lives (his name is Takao), but they are locked in their self-denial, so they resist the change furiously until they exhaust themselves and reach a crisis point where their armour is shattered and they stand revealed as who they truly are.

Or at least, Rai and Kai get that, Johnny almost gets there, but the arc ends before he can really reach it. He would have, though. Remember, Ralf, arguably the main antagonist of the arc, accepts the existence of the power of friendship before he even steps up to battle Takao. Johnny on the other hand never says out loud that he’s on board with the new regime. So for the images above, I could have chosen Johnny’s flinch after Ralf lost, where he’s got the same pinched expression and bared teeth as the other two, but in his case, it’s his moment of quiet distress in the garden that gives us the clearest glimpse behind the armour.

So they are similar, but the beauty of Bakuten Shoot Beyblade is the level of detail these characters get at their best. All three boys are facing an authority that demand they submit, but giving in will mean something different for each boy.

(Oh no, Judin’s getting horny again.)

(She’s not sorry, though.)

Rai’s case is fascinating because he is an alpha who, more than the other two, is forced to submit. He resists until he breaks, and then Rei overwhelms him with massive power. It’s a benevolent destruction, meant to tear down Rai’s walls and show him a better path, but it’s also a horrible humiliation. Don’t forget that Rai has to deliberately control his temper before he can congratulate Rei.

Remember also that it was Rai’s ambition to be chief, and for a little while that was his future, and now, while he will not have to live with being an imposter chief, the chief who was not chosen, he will have to live with having been the Almost Usurper. Rei and Rai will both be “the redeemed boy” of the tribe, except Rei is pure and blameless, while Rai is blackened and tainted by what he did.

Yes, this is all terribly dramatic, but that’s kinda the point; Rai is dramatic. Rai, Johnny and Kai are so proud that every little embarrassment is excruciating, and this embarrassment was not little.

So it is my belief that for Rai, submission to Rei will never be easy. First of all because his submission was forced; he is part of the clan, Rei is Byakko’s chosen chief of the clan, Rai has no choice but to submit; he tried to resist once and Rei showed him his place. Secondly, Rai is himself an alpha, used to being the dominating personality in all his relationships except with Rei.

And yeah okay we’re getting dangerously close to AlphaOmega fanfic territory here, but they’re friggin cat-people, so the terminology works, and anyway, not every character in this story is dominant or submissive. Max, for instance, can be either or neither. I’ve used him before as the example of a boy who accepts himself completely, emotions, weaknesses and all, and that makes him strong and adaptable, able to withstand for instance the realisation that his mom is a terrible mother. He can blend in with any group of people and do just fine; after all, his element is water.

I obviously have no idea how Rai deals with Rei returning in G-Rev, but looking strictly at season 1, I see a Rai who will always struggle to take orders from Rei, though he will do it for the sake of duty, and because he knows his reluctance comes from his own pride and shame, not from any fault of Rei’s, and really that just adds to his pain. Even leading the Chinese blading team is something Rai will know he is only doing until Rei decides to join them. Then he will have to step down.

ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO, ANYBODY ELSE FEELING A CREEPING DREAD? *sweats* Well buckle up cause it’s about to get hornier.

Next is Johnny. The funny thing is that where Rai is an alpha forced to submit, Johnny only thinks he’s an alpha, and submission actually comes very natural to him. Once he met Ralf anyway. AND YES I SHIP THEM PUT DOWN THE PITCHFORKS. I like to think I ship them because they have this dynamic, and not that I give them this dynamic because I ship them.

Part of Johnny’s problem is that he’s a soft boy who thinks he needs to be a swaggering macho male. He keeps tripping himself up because his natural instinct is to curl up in the safety of Ralf’s authority, which means he’s always doing what Ralf tells him to in the hope that senpai will notice him and give him the affirmation he needs. Remember my argument that Johnny bases his self-worth on his wealth, status and blading skills, all of which Takao is teaching him means nothing, leaving him with precious little; he is in desperate need of someone to tell him he is good enough even without these things. His loud complaining is both a front he puts up, his armour, and the way he expresses his fear of where this train is hurtling. Highly sensitive people are not good at accepting change, and Takao introduces change about as gently as a hurricane.

Unfortunately, the one who Johnny is looking to for affirmation is a guy who has no interpersonal skills whatsoever, and Johnny can’t really look elsewhere because of a little thing that Saint-Exupéry talks about in The Little Prince, when the Prince meets a fox who asks the boy to tame him:

“"I am looking for friends. What does that mean--'tame'?"

"It is an act too often neglected," said the fox. "It means to establish ties."

"'To establish ties'?"

"Just that," said the fox. "To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world..."

...

But if you tame me, it will be as if the sun came to shine on my life. I shall know the sound of a step that will be different from all the others. Other steps send me hurrying back underneath the ground. Yours will call me, like music, out of my burrow.”

By giving Johnny his first major defeat, Ralf has tamed him, and, as Saint-Exupery goes on to say: “You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.”

Unfortunately, as before mentioned, Ralf is UTTERLY OBLIVIOUS to this thing having happened. He’s a stork what can I say. At best he has an instinctual sense of Johnny, Giancarlo and Olivier being “his people” now, which for instance allows him to casually dismiss Johnny’s very reasonable request TO BE ALLOWED TO GO HOME.

Ralf is the type who rules with complete authority. He’s a stone wall as far as negotiations go. Not that he can’t change his mind or see the sense in an argument (Again, he accepts the power of friendship when he sees it in action), but only if he is Wrong. This is like the one thing that keeps him from being a straight up villain. In all other ways he is unbendable, which also leaves Johnny’s attempts at asserting dominance hilariously ineffective.

For Johnny, his final submission to Ralf would mean he had reached self-acceptance, and it would give him safety and comfort, and I think Ralf, once he learns how to act like a human being, will grow into his role as Johnny’s Captain.

Though I admit that this, more than with Kai and Rai, is my own interpretation of Johnny’s character, since we don’t get his full arc. And he is not like this at all in the manga, but that’s a separate canon.

Again, if you think this is all very ... well, horny of me, I’m not saying all relationship work this way. Again, Kai defeating Max in battle did not mean Max is now tamed, because Max does not work that way. If he ever allows himself to be tamed, it will be his choice.

Takao, and shounen anime protagonists in general, tend to tame everyone they meet, and some people take it in stride, while others become their devoted followers or obsessed rivals.

Kai was very much tamed by Takao, but since he doesn’t respect Takao or think much of his abilities as a blader, Kai is able to shrug their bond off at first.

At first.

But I’ll come back to Kai if we ever get through episode 45.

Lydia, Isaac, and Dr. Deaton watch as I nervously pace the room waiting for my twin, Stiles, and Allison to wake up.

Suddenly, almost simultaneously, the three teeangers burst up from the freezing tubs, gasping for breath. I quickly grab towels and rush over to the person closest to me - Allison. I help her out and wrap the towel around her to help her get warm.

As Isaac and Lydia hand Scott and Stiles towels, Scott rushes out, "I saw it- I know where it is."

"We passed it - there's a stump - this huge tree - not huge now - it was cut down - but big. Very big." Stiles continues.

"It was the night we were looking for the body-" Scott says looking at his best friend.

"The night you were bit by Peter." Stiles replies.

"I was there too. In the car with my mother. We almost hit someone." Allison says, bringing the attention to her.

"It was me - you almost hit me." Scott states.

The three then turn their attention to the others around them, "We can find it." Scott says to Deaton.

The rest of us stay silent though, looking on with perplexed faces. "What?" Allison asks.

"You guys were out a long time." Isaac answers.

"How long is a long time?" Stiles questions.

"Sixteen hours." I say.

"We were out for sixteen hours?" Scott asks in disbelief.

"And the full moon rises in less than four." Deaton adds.

There is another brief moment of silence as the three teenagers try to warm up and Scott announces that he needs to go back to Deucalion and that I need to go too.

"No, dude. You're not going back to them. And (Y/N) isn't going either." Stiles says.

"I made a deal with Deucalion. I need to go, and I told him I would get (Y/N/N) to go too."

"Anybody else thinks that sounded a lot like 'deal with the Devil.' I don't know about you guys, but I've heard that situation doesn't usually come with a happy ending." Stiles tries to argue.

"Why's it matter anyway?" Isaac asks.

"Because I still don't think we can beat Jennifer without their help." Scott states.

Allison turns to Deaton, "He trusts you more than any of us. Tell him he's wrong."

"I'm not so sure he is." Deaton says, surprising us all. "Circumstances like this sometimes require you to align yourself with people you'd normally consider enemies."

"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." I mumble under my breath.

"We're supposed to trust him? The guy who calls himself Death, destroyer of worlds." Isaac says.

"I wouldn't trust him, no. But you could certainly use him to your advantage." Deaton answers.

"If we find our parents and Jennifer's there waiting for us, no one's getting out alive. We need help." Scott says, trying to explain his reasoning.

"What if we distract her?" Lydia suggests.

"She wants Deucalion. Nothing's going to distract her from that."

"Then let's use him." I say making everyone's head turn towards me. "He makes the perfect distraction if she wants him so bad. If our plan involves using him as bait, it's sure to work."

"Okay. Then we better come up with a really good plan. Really fast."

The sound of the front door opening stops us from continuing the conversation. We all step out of the exam room to see who came in. "I'm looking for Lydia." Ethan says, standing in the doorway.

"What do you want?" Lydia asks.

"I need your help."

I take a protective stance in front of Lydia and clench my jaw, "With what?" I question.

"Stopping my brother and Kali... From killing Derek."

"I'm coming too." I speak up.

"(Y/N/N)-" Scott starts.

"I can meet you later. Just text me where you are." I say, making Scott nod in response.

Ethan, Lydia, and I make our way to Derek's loft. Once inside, my eyes immediately find Cora's, who is now standing up and looking a lot healthier than before. "Cora, you're alright." I sigh in relief.

She gives me a nod and a tight lipped smile then brings her attention to the Alpha by my side. I turn back around and start walking towards Derek, Ethan and Lydia following closely behind.

"And you look like shit, Der." I say, narrowing my eyes.

He sends me a weak glare, "Thanks, (Y/N/N)."

Finally, Ethan speaks up, "We know about the lunar eclipse. So don't think Kali's going to sit around waiting for it to level the playing field. She's coming. And my brother's coming with her."

"Good enough for me. Derek, let's get you out of here." Peter says from behind us.

"You want me to run?" Derek asks his uncle.

"No, I want you to stay and get slaughtered by an Alpha with a psychotic foot fetish. Of course, I want you to run. Sprint, gallop, leap your way the hell out of this town."

Derek turns his attention to his sister, "If you want to fight and die for something, fine with me. But do it for something meaningful." She says.

"How do you know I'm going to lose?" Derek asks.

"We don't." Peter answers. He then looks towards Lydia and I, "But I bet they have an idea. Don't you girls?"

"I don't know anything." Lydia instantly replies.

"But you feel something, don't you?"

She hesitates but slowly nods. "What do you feel?" Derek wearily asks.

"I feel like... Like I'm standing in a graveyard."

Derek then turns his attention to me, "What about you, (Y/N/N)? What do you feel?"

I sigh, "I think you should listen to Peter. God, I never thought those words would come out of my mouth. Seriously though, my danger sense has been weird because there has been so much going on, right now I kinda just feel numb. Like something is wrong but it might not be what we think it is."

"Still though, we better be safe. You three need to leave." I continue after a brief pause.

Kali's clawed foot smashes the blinking red security light on the alarm panel as she steps foot into Derek's loft. Aiden is behind her, a glare on his face.

Kali locks her gaze on Ethan, Lydia and I and asks, "Where is he?"

"I think he said he was heading out to do some shopping. Run a few errands. The usual werewolf afternoon." Lydia answers.

Kali threateningly steps closer to Lydia. I take a protective step in front of her. "Who do you think you're talking to?" Kali asks, gaze still locked on the strawberry blonde.

"Someone desperately in need of a pedicure? I'd be happy to give you a referral."

Kali's eyes begin to glow red as she takes another step forward. "Oh really?"

My eyes glow white in return and a low growl escapes my mouth. Aiden also is starting to grow more concerned and takes a step forward to interfere.

The movement catches Kali's eye. She turns her attention towards Aiden and asks, "Did someone take their little assignment too seriously?"

Aiden eyes Lydia and answers, "She's not the problem. And you know Deucalion wants (Y/N) alive."

"Maybe the problem is where your loyalties lie." Kali replies.

Lydia then whispers, "Oh God, is this about to get really violent?"

"Probably." Ethan and I answer together.

Before Kali or Aiden can start fighting, a body crashes through the glass. I instinctively wrap my arms around Lydia and push her towards the stairs to protect her from the shards.

Arms still wrapped tightly around Lydia, we both turn our heads to the person who entered the loft, "So. Who wants to be first?" Jennifer asks, looking between the twins and Kali.

In the blink of an eye Kali starts trying to fight Jennifer, though the woman seems untouchable with every advance. In the meantime, Ethan and Aiden rush towards each other to connect but Jennifer pulls them apart before they are fully formed.

Lydia and I watch in shock, my arms still wrapped around her to protect her from any flying debris. She sends the twins flying into opposite walls and turns back to face Kali.

"That's right, Kali. Look at me. Look at my face. Do you know what it takes to be able to look like this? To be able to look normal." Jennifer says, taking slow steps towards the Alpha.

"I don't care." Kali spits out.

"It takes power like this.." Jennifer trails off as she raises her arms. Kali takes slow steps back, realizing that she wasn't going to win this battle. The glass shards start to raise from the ground each point turning to face Kali.

When the shards move rapidly in Kali's direction I once again wrap my body around Lydia as we both squeeze our eyes shut, not wanting to see what happens next.

At the sound of something snapping I peel my face away from Lydia and we both slowly turn in Jennifer's direction. We look just in time to see Aiden and Ethan in their combined Alpha form, falling to the ground.

Jennifer turns toward us, "What's that line Coach likes to say? The bigger they are..." She slowly approaches us, making me maneuver my body in front of Lydia, though I know it won't do any good.

"What do you want from us?" Lydia asks from behind me.

"Nothing from (Y/N), in fact maybe I'll kill her too. But you Lydia, I want you to do what you do best. I want you to scream."

"Don't do it Lyds." I say, my glare never leaving Jennifer.

"Do it Lydia. And if I were you I wouldn't be barking orders. I could snap you like a twig."

"No you won't. Because I know you want Deucalion. And if you keep me alive, I'll help you get him. Scott told me he was going to be with him, he's going to text me where they are."

Jennifer's eyes narrow, probably wondering if I'm telling the truth or trying to fool her.

"No games." I say, "I want Deucalion dead. He won't leave my brother or I alone and I need your help to defeat him."

"Fine, but I still want Derek here and to get him here, I need Lydia to scream."

Lydia looks at me with wide eyes, unsure of what to do. I give her a slight nod, telling her to listen. Not waiting any longer, Lydia let's out a powerful shriek. I reach up to block my ears and wait for it to be over.

A few minutes later, Derek and Cora enter the loft. Both of their eyes find Jennifer first, then they land on Lydia and I, followed by a quick sweep of the room.

Cora makes her way around Jennifer to put a protective arm around Lydia, who looks distraught. "You did this for me?" Derek asks Jennifer.

"For us. For anyone who's ever been their victim." Jennifer answers.

"Stop talking to me like a politician. Stop trying to convince me of your cause."

"Fine. I'll convince you of someone else's. Scott and (Y/N). You can save their mother. Stiles' father-"

Derek cuts her off, "How?"

"I need a Guardian. That's a role that can either be filled by the three parents I was forced to take or by you."

I knit my eyebrows in confusion at Jennifer's words. "I can't help you. I'm not even an Alpha anymore."

"All I need is for you to help me get Deucalion in the right place at the right time. (Y/N) said she would help already."

Derek's eyes move to me and I give him a quick nod, hoping that he realizes there is a plan in motion. He moves his eyes back to Jennifer, "You just killed three of them on your own. What do you need us for?"

"You've never seen him at his strongest. I have. And if he's got Scott with him, I don't stand a chance. Unless I have you two."

"We are not hurting Scott. That's not part of the deal." I say.

Without sparing me a glance Jennifer continues, "I have the eclipse in my favor. But the moon's only going to be in the Earth's umbral shadow for fifteen minutes. That's the extent of my window. There's no decision to struggle with. Help me kill him and the others live. Just help me."

Derek and I walk behind Jennifer as we make our way inside the distillery. Scott's eyes widen when he sees Derek and I with Jennifer.

"What are you two doing?" Scott asks, eyes sweeping between the former Alpha and me.

"This might be hard to believe, but I'm actually trying to help you." Derek says.

Deucalion's eyes never stray from Jennifer, "Are you ready Jennifer?" He asks. He takes a step forward and drops his jacket. His voice becomes more demonic with every step in our direction.

"Did you gather your herbs? Pray to your ancient Gods and your oak trees? Slit a baby's throat, perhaps? Should we show them why you needed to sacrifice nine innocent people just to face me? Or is it twelve now?"

Derek steps in front of Deucalion to protect Jennifer from the attack. He is quickly overpowered though, and slammed into the side of the building.

I stand back, not getting in the way of the demon wolf and his prey. In an instant he is on Jennifer. He defeats them so quickly I barely had time to breathe properly. His red eyes turn to lock onto Scott, "Kill her."

We watch as Scott looks down at Jennifer, "Do it." Deucalion snaps.

With Scott hesitating, Deucalion lets out a roar, forcing Scott to change. "Now kill her. Your parents are dying. That storm you hear? She's burying them alive. It's her connection to the Telluric Currents. Kill her and it ends."

"It won't end. Not with me. He'll have you kill everyone you love. It's what he does." Jennifer chokes out.

"They're dying, Scott. Your mother and the parents of your best friends. Kill her now and it's over. Become the Alpha you're meant to be. Become a killer."

"Kill her yourself if you want her dead so bad. You have her right there. You can do it. You don't need me or my brother." I say, bringing Deucalion's attention to me for the first time.

Before he can speak, I continue, "The only reason you want him to do it is so he doesn't become a True Alpha. The Alpha he is destined to be. You're afraid of him and you want control over him. The only way to do that is to make him a killer. But you underestimate him. You underestimate both of us. And that's bad for you."

Scott then begins speaking, bringing the Alpha's attention back to him, "I forgot to tell you something. Something Gerard told me." There is a brief pause, "One of the last things he said to me. Deucalion isn't always blind."

At his words I throw my arm up and squeeze my eyes shut to protect myself from the flash bolt that Scott pulls out of his pocket and throws to the ground.

Deucalion frantically waves his hands in front of his face, trying to regain his eyesight. I slowly put my arm down and open my eyes just as Deucalion speaks, "The eclipse... It's started."

Me and the three other werewolves begin to look around, not being able to spot Jennifer anywhere, in Deucalion's case not being able to hear her. "Oh no..." Scott whispers.

Suddenly, no longer using her power to disguise her face, Jennifer reappears. She growls out, "My turn." and advances on Deucalion.

We watch as Jennifer slams Deucalion's head into the cement. She is close to killing him until Derek calls out, "Jennifer." Her eyes snap to him. "He doesn't know."

"Know what?" She questions.

"What you really look like. He knows the cost of bringing Kali into his pack. But he's never seen the price you paid."

Jennifer looks down at Deucalion who is struggling to breathe. In a quiet voice she mumbles, "No... No, he hasn't." I watch on in confusion as she lifts her hand to cover Deucalion's eyes.

Jennifer's eyes begin to glow white and Deucalion cries out in pain. Finally releasing him, Jennifer steps back. "Turn to me." She says to the Alpha.

Slowly, Deucalion lifts his head and turns to the sound of her voice. Jennifer stumbles back, now returning to her human face. "What... what is this?" She asks.

Derek catches her, "Healing him made you weak. Just like healing Cora did to me. You won't have your strength for at least a few minutes."

"Then you do it. Kill him."

"No." Derek answers without hesitation.

"What?" Jennifer asks, stunned.

"Like my mother used to say, I'm a predator. I don't have to be a killer." He then grabs her by the throat, "But I will if it saves their lives."

She starts to gasp as his grip tightens, "Let them go."

Regaining her strength she throws Derek against the wall. But her time is up, the eclipse is over. She slams his head against the wall one more time but Scott and I are rising and changing into our werewolf forms.

Derek growls out, "Your fifteen minutes are up." He then proceeds to shove Jennifer off of him. She scrambles back in a panic as the three of us approach. Desperate, Jennifer throws her hand up.

Scott slams into a barrier as he tries to reach her. She throws mountain ash around her. "Like I told you, Derek. Either you or the parents. And I guess I'll just have to take them. A few more minutes, they'll be dead and I won't need a lunar eclipse even to kill a Demon-Wolf."

Scott pulls himself up and approaches the barrier once more. Jennifer's head turns in his direction, "You've tried this before Scott. I don't remember you having much success."

Instead of answering Scott raises his hands to the barrier and slowly pushes his way through. After about 30 seconds the barrier breaks, Jennifer takes a step back in shock, "How... how did you do that?"

"I'm an Alpha now." Scott says, I smirk as I watch my twin be a complete badass. "Whatever you're doing to cause the storm, make it stop or I'll kill you myself. And I don't care what it does to the color of my eyes."

"It won't change the color of mine. So allow me." Deucalion says, he charges past slashing her throat. Her body changes from the Darach to Jennifer to back again as she falls backwards, a hand pressed to her throat.

I reach into my pocket, quickly grabbing my phone to call Lydia as Scott calls Stiles. "Are you okay?" I ask as soon as she answers.

"Yeah, Cora and I brought the twins to Deaton. They're still alive. We're all good."

"Good. Scott, Derek, and I are alright too. Scott's talking to Stiles right now." I pause to listen in on his conversation, "Everyone's alright." I say when I hear Stiles tell Scott to bring a ladder to get them out.

Once we hang up, Derek, Scott, Deucalion and I step outside the distillery. "My mother told me you were a man of vision once. We're letting you go because we hope you can be that man again." Derek says to the Alpha.

"But if you're not, having your eyes back won't matter." Scott says.

"Because you won't see us coming." I finished. The three of us walk off, leaving Deucalion behind.

Character of the Day #0 (Intro)

Here are the Main Characters for Mae and the Kingdoms of Seasons!

Mae, the Titular Character

Mae is a young adult who struggles with severe anxiety. Because of her anxiety, she is selectively mute, and she can sign. She is adopted, and therefore is an only child which is unusual for Seiki. She has two moms, and is bisexual herself! Her best friend is Dolly, her mentor is Noble, and her partner is Joel.

Asha

Asha is a Seiki from the past era who had a fierce spirit. She swears the most out of any character and doesn't act very "lady-like," which she learned from her strong mother. Sexism was rampant at that time so her disposition was seen as inappropriate for a girl. However, her outgoing personality made her extremely popular with her peers. She took shit from nobody, and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. When she met Thatcher, he sadly took those qualities out of her. She spent the entirety of her afterlife following her family tree down and searching for a way to make up her past mistakes. She passed down a letter explaining what really happened to Ruben, but nobody in her family took it seriously... until Mae.

Ruben

Ruben was a bright-eyed student who really loved learning. He was an only child just like Mae, except for him it was because his family was extremely poor and the rest of his parents' eggs didn't make it. He's neurodivergent and struggles in social situations, but he just really really wants friends. He's picked on a lot but doesn't often realize that he is, he'll talk to anybody to try and befriend them. He'll often brag about his good grades and intellect as a way to impress people and make them like him, but others usually find him annoying. He wanted to grow up to do something so great that everybody would love him. He's overwhelmed by his own feelings, feeling too happy or too sad burns him out and causes him to shut down. When he starts to feel 'too much' he'll hide his face in his scarf. he studied with the human because he thought it was a great idea and that he was going to help everybody. He never intended things to go so south.. and even when he was reformed he never intended to hurt anybody.

Joel

Joel is Mae's partner, and one of her closet friends! He is pansexual, and completely mute because he was born without vocal chords. He learned how to sign when he was in elementary school thanks to his twin brother, Jeremiah. He grew up in a horribly abusive household, his mother thought that the Gods were punishing her for giving her a mute child. She tried to get him to talk by hurting him, and disapproved of him signing. He has a scar under his headband from his mom, from when she pulled so hard on his antennae that one split open. She would verbally and physically abuse both of her kids as 'punishment' for being 'such a burden to her,' and her husband just went along with it not bothering to stop her. One night, when he was 12, she was so mad that she kicked him out of the house. He only was able to take one of his journals with him and some food scraps and spent a while wandering around the kingdom homeless. Eventually, he stumbled upon an old man who helped him build a small shack to live in. He then found Mae's middle school, and watched the kids go in and out for a few days until a teacher noticed him and brought him in as part of the class. He met Mae when she walked past his house one day, and when he signed to her she signed back. He had never met another person besides his brother that could sign before and he instantly started crushing on her. The two became close friends in high school, and Joel was pining for her hard the entire time. Mae returned his feelings, but they didn't get together until during her big journey. Joel is a writer! He's mainly a poet, but he's been writing ever since he was little and is what he does for his job. He wrote the book "Tales of Kingdoms Past," which was about the other three kingdoms and what they did during the 200 year gap in communication. Joel has serious trauma from his past but denies it. He just wants his mom to love him and believes it's because he wasn't good enough, and was his fault.

Dolly

Dolly is Mae's best friend! They've been super close since they met in kindergarten. Dolly comes from a wealthy, higher-class family that has 5 daughters, her being the oldest in the litter. She's super upbeat and easily excitable, and loves getting to know knew people. She's very popular in her school and is invited to a lot of things, but she always makes sure to spend time with Mae and stick by her side. Dolly's parents are neglectful despite their family's "perfect" appearance. Her dad wanted a son, so he doesn't give them the time of day, and her mother doesn't bother to get to know them and is always away. Her parents usually leave her money and then leave for a couple days. Dolly and her sisters constantly want their mom's attention, but because Dolly was born looking the most like her mom, she's the only one that gets the sliver of attention. This affection is superficial and meaningless, and leaves her feeling empty, but it causes intense jealously between her and her sisters, they don't get along well at all. Her mother always advised her daughters to marry someone rich like she did (which is an indicator of what her parents' relationship is like), and to always appear submissive and weak because guys are 'turned away from powerful women.' Because of this, Dolly always dated higher-class boys her weren't the nicest. Several of them would try to take advantage of her because they knew that her dad didn't care enough to go after them. She'd always break up with them within a few weeks or so, they weren't her type at all but she was only following her mom's advice. Dolly is a very talented seamstress and sketcher, and wanted to own her own boutique one day. However she never thought she could because her mother would tell her women shouldn't work. When she graduated she met Anthony and started dating him, and she was able to be herself around him. The two got married very quickly on a whim, and then immediately after accidentally made a litter of 7 babies.

Anthony

Anthony is Dolly's husband! He's very timid and has a slight stutter. He comes from a notoriously wealthy family that is known for their extremely successful sons. Their family consists of two litters, the first being of 4 boys, Noble being the oldest of them. These are the 4 sons that are so famous. The second litters is of all girls except for Anthony. His sisters are very successful too, but outsiders always forget about Anthony and don't recognize him. He's very smart and loves math, and studied outside of school to become a tax collector for the queen (in this kingdom, taxes are only for the rich). He loves his wife and kids very much, and loves making horrible math puns.

Noble

Noble is the Captain of the Royal Guard! He is also Mae's mentor, and is gay and autistic. He is close friends with Queen Dahlia. He's the strong quiet type, a man of few words. He's strict and knows how to command his men, not somebody you'd want to mess with, He's well respected for his skill and leadership. He was a prodigy, and started learning how to use a sword when he was three. He was mentored by the previous captain of the guard himself, September. When he was in middle school, he was allowed into the guard program early. He lived away from home in the guards quarters from then on. While he was growing up there he figured out he was gay, but the royal guard is generally full of unaccepting people. He worked hard and was chosen to become September's successor, being the kingdom's youngest captain. He values his reputation a lot, and is terrified of people finding out his sexuality. He eventually gets together with Jeremiah, and is outted to the guard by somebody.

Jeremiah

Jeremiah is Joel's older twin! He's quite poor, and lives in a worn down one-room house where he runs his business, "Jeremiah's Shipping and Deliveries." He delivers tools and building materials to those who request it. Jeremiah was the one that was left behind with his mom after Joel left. Growing up, he always tried to act as the tough one and would stand up for his little brother when he was picked on. He's also queer, liking both girls and boys, but heavily denied it. He always picked fights with others that he couldn't win, and was used to getting beat up. When Joel was gone, he became very lonely and even more self-destructive. He became more violent and did horribly in school, he became friends with his pervious bullies and got into a lot of trouble with them. When he was a sophomore his dad left, and he had to deal with his mother by himself. He inherited bipolar disorder from his mother but he doesn't know that. When it came time to graduate he left home and never looked back. He's an alcoholic, he drinks to numb his feelings. He sleeps around with girls all the time, only to feel loved for one night. All these things just leave him feeling worthless and empty. Eventually, he reunited with Joel after seeing the book his brother published. He loves Joel and Mae so much, and is afraid of messing up his relationship with them. He has horrible self-esteem and constantly worries that he only has a bad impact on others. Eventually he meets Noble, who helps him accept himself and starts dating him.

Dahlia

Dahlia is the current reigning queen of the Seiki Kingdom. She's close friends with Noble. It was her controversial decision to send Mae out on her journey, but she was pressured into making a hasty choice by her brother and royal advisor, Cedar. Dahlia is quiet and regal, and tries to keep her emotions to herself. The entire purpose of her birth was to become the next queen, so she never had the chance to be a child. From day one she was taken and raised to be the perfect ruler. She's constantly under the pressure of Cedar, who is mean to her behind closed doors. Later on, Cedar pressures her to make an heir with somebody since she's getting older. She chooses Vincent for that job, but the two actually fall in love and she appoints him as her and her newborns' official doctor so that she gets to see him again.

Thatcher

Thatcher..... is basically the worst person. He is one of the worst villains in this universe. He was Asha's husband in the past era. He's a sociopath and a misogynist, and very rich. He's albino, which makes many see him as unique and attractive. Thatcher is incredibly clever, and nows how to manipulate everyone around him into thinking he's great and can do no harm. In reality, he has a violent mind with dark desires. He's the kinda guy to fantasize about keeping a girl in his basement. He owns an expensive store that sells jewels and holiday items. He met Asha when she was about to leave on her holiday trip. He noticed how loud and outgoing she was, and he thought that it'd be fun to "break/tame" her and force her into the role that he thought a woman should have. He flirted with her that day, but she rejected him. He saw this as part of the fun and proceeded to stalk her for the rest of the day. The entire time she was gone, he never stopped thinking about her and what he wanted to do to her. When she came back in tears after Ruben was "killed," he used that chance to act as her shoulder to cry on and worm his way into her life. They started dating, even though she wasn't very into it. Her mother and her friends encouraged her to marry him because of his status within their community. She did, but once they were married shit hit the fan fast. Thatcher was abusive to her, he'd slowly add onto what he could get away with. He'd pressure her into intimacy, and eventually would force himself onto her. He wanted kids, so he forced her to have his. She tried avoiding it for a while by using contraception without his knowledge, but when he found out he started getting physically abusive. Eventually, Asha became a shell of who she once was. Thatcher succeeded in breaking her, her fighting spirit was gone and she was quiet and numb. When their kids were four, Asha took her own life. Thatcher had pushed her too far. The loss of his wife was Thatcher's biggest regret, he couldn't take that back. But to him it wasn't the loss of his love, it was the loss of his favorite toy. He tried to regain his pride by manipulating his kids into believing that their mother passed because she didn't love them.

Verity

Verity is the current reigning queen of the Kitsuga kingdom! She was a strong warrior and leader, but her life was changed forever when the plague attacked. When Ruben's plague got to her kingdom, it killed many of the Kitsuga warriors, including her husband and the king, Clay. Her two kids Sato and Mana managed to hide, but many other Kitsuga were injured. Her son, Sato, decided to cocoon early to get his wings and encouraged many of his young peers to do so as well so that they could be more useful to the kingdom when they emerge. Verity is not silent most of the time, and just stands watching the kingdom from her den. She's still grieving the loss of her husband. She treated Mae like her own daughter, and was the one that taught her Mae's signature dive-bomb technique.

Marvin

Marvin is a Hachitsu, he's an inventor! He's autistic, asexual, and aromantic. He loves loves tinkering with machinery, coming up with ideas, and making friends. He's super passionate about his work and showing people what he does, but he sometimes is oblivious to social cues and accidentally oversteps some boundaries. He's broke, and can just barely afford the rent on the garage he lives in. He bakes in his free time and sells his pastries to get a smidge of income. His sister, Pamela, is the only sibling that visits him regularly and makes sure he's taking care of himself. He's the only one in his family without a "real job," so his siblings and parents think that he's a disappointment. He met Mae when she came to the kingdom and was wandering around lost, unsure why people were ignoring her/acting rude (she was flying, and since the Hachitsu can't fly its considered rude to fly in their kingdom instead of using the stairs and pulleys). He saw this as an opportunity to finally make some money and made her pay for him to show her around. He ended up giving her her money back after she saved him when the plague attacked the Hachitsu, and the two became close friends. The two remain pen pals! Marvin's dream was to create an invention that would finally allow the Hachitsu to fly, he spent months trying to get the design right, and he just finally succeeded in creating a glider.

Charlotte

Charlotte is the current President of the Hachitsu kingdom, and she has been since she was 14 (Hachistu can run as many times as they like). She is the daughter of the previous president, who passed away when she was 14. Her mother encouraged her to become the next leader in her place. Her mother was killed by wasps, which gave Charlotte an intense fear of wasps ever since. She really loves bees! Bees are like dogs to them, they're dangerous to all other forest spirit species except for the Hachitsu, their bee-like colors and pheromones let them exist harmoniously with wild bees. Domestic bees are nice to everybody, regardless of species. She had several guard bees that she loved dearly, when the plague came, infected wasps came after her. Her bees gave their lives to protect her by fighting them off, but became part of the plague themselves. Charlotte is bisexual, but not very interested in dating. She's outspoken and very confident in herself, she's been runnin' this job for a long time and she believes she knows what she's doing.

Bel

Bel is an elderly Kameshi. He's the first and only Kameshi Mae ever met during her journey, although she does meet more later on in life. During the 200 year gap, the Kameshi kingdom had a civil way that led to its destruction. Now, the kingdom is just ruins, and Kameshi live on their own scattered across the forest. He lives in a cave near the remains of the cabin, and often goes through it to find human items. He's a collector of human things, and his cave is littered with various human objects. His scarf is made of a green cloth and thread that he found in the dirt near the cabin, and is actually where Mae's needle came from! When Mae found her needle it was attached to a green thread, it was the very same one. Bel approached Mae because he noticed the needle on her back, and he wanted to get a better look. Bel is everyone's grandpa, he ofc treats Mae like his own granddaughter and is protective of her. He was the one that encouraged her to look inside the cabin to help with her journey. Mae came to visit him over a year later with Joel, and Bel didn't like Joel much sbhjdshsdshd simply because he was "dating" Mae (they were already married at that point lmao). He had also adopted an orphaned 5-year old Kameshi girl who he named Scamp. He gets his own arc later on in the series when he finds a hidden village of Kameshi, and he reunites with his past love, Tuft.
